"Oh sweetheart are you on your way home?" I enthusiastically asked on the other line.

"Not yet, sweetheart, I'm in the middle of our mission but soon as this mission finishes I'll go home immediately," She replied in the second line that made my heart pound rapidly my bosom I have this feeling with an unfortunate will happen.

I slammed my fist in the table due to my anger.

Damn! you're in the middle of your mission and you have the guts to make a call? Mirana I can't stand it anymore that every time you are on your mission I couldn't stop myself from getting worried. I think its better for us, for you if you should quit your agency. I am worried about you especially now that you are in the middle of your mission," I exclaimed and she seemed to be stunned by the other line.

"Calm down sweetheart. I miss you that's why I called, wait why you want to make me quit this job when you're not even quitting your job"

"Mirana sweetheart I want us to live a normal life. We'll just build our own business after we get married, "I calmly stated.

"Oh that's great sweetheart we will have our w-wait did I hear it right? After we get married? "she utterly asked.

"Yes, is it too early?  Don't you want to marry me?  " I nervously asked.

She didn't reply.

"Mirana are you still there?"

"Y-yes sweetheart I'm here o-ofcourse I want to m-marry you," she replied nervously . Why do I have this feeling that there will be something bad will happen.

I just sighed in relief.

"I love you Mirana I truly love you," I wholeheartedly said.

"Ada-"

A loud bang cut her off and followed by loud gunshots.

Anxiety rose on me by hearing those on the second line. Suddenly my world stopped and I can't even form a word from my mouth.

"Mirana! Mirana! What's going on there? Is everything okay out there? Answer me Mirana!"

Then the line disrupted.

ADAM'S POV

TRINITY RESTAURANTE 9:AM

After a few years, Adam was still in his habit of not taking the departure of the woman he loved much more than his life.

"Adam, it's already 9 in the morning! What we talked about was exact eight and what on earth are you wearing? The security guard will be almost unable to let you in because you are wearing that I do not know whether you are still alive or dead.When did you shave your mustache and does your hair even visited by scissor? "he exclaimed. I was in the face of the hermit in his eyes.

"It's still early to have the words of wisdom Scott. Why did you call?" I straightly asked. I don't want to take any longer.

"Hot headed," he said that appeared to be mocking.

"You do know that these hours is having a hard traffic Scott," I said as I put my hands on my head.

"We have a mission and we need your cooperation, Adam. You were the only one I thought that could do it, "he said and there was a seemingly shared folder on his back.

"I'm quitting," I firmly stated.

"You can't be," He said that I had been cut off immediately and that it was obvious to his face.

"Serious? I am."

"Why?" he asked frowning at my statement.

"I have no appetite for this," I answer but he looked unconvinced of my response.

"It's because of her right?" he asked glancing at the ring in my finger.

"Don't involve her here," I grimly said but he just looked at me as if I was crazy.

"Adam, you're not even married! so why are you wearing that ring?" he shouted in whisper. Obviously angry about the tone of his voice.

"Look at you! you've changed. Did you think she would be happy in your state now in life?"

"In my heart we're married and I know that she's still alive Scott. I know it," I said full of hope in my voice.

"It's been 2 years Adam,  two years have passed  . We both witnessed the ashes so better move on," He said the he seems to be talking to a child.

"It's not that easy. I have to leave," I stated firmly making my hands formed into fist causing my knuckles turns to white.

I leave the restaurant without waiting for his response.

"I know she'll be back for me," I muttered before opening the door of my car.

MARINA'S POV

CANADA 8:45 PM

"Marina please I'm begging you!" my twin sister had been crying plea.

"I can't," I answered even though I am offended when I see her like that.

"Marina," she called while she's in tears.

"Why me Mirana? Why can't you just show up to him, your just making things so complicated and who is this man by the way? "I asked as I help her to sit.

"The man who offered me a ring," she said wiping her tears using the back of her hand.

"Adam," I don't know but my heart squirm in pain about what she had said. Adam offered her to marry him. The man that I used to  love since I was a child.

"Yes"

"Then why are you hiding? Why are you spreading fake news that you are already dead? You said you love him too Mirana! why are you sending me to him?" I rained her questions that even me can't understand.

She didn't respond but instead she cried and knelled as she holds my hand. I felt sorry for my twin sister.

"Mirana, tell me please so that I can understand and maybe I could help you," I said patting her shoulder as I wipe her tears away.

She embraces me tightly while sobbing in my shoulder.

"Is it because of Marco?"

"Marco called me, he says he want us to start over," she mumbled.

"My God Mirana, I thought you've learned your lesson with that man. He cheated on you Mirana, just please open your eyes besides Adam's there to love you faithfully. Please Mirana come back to him, " It was hard for me to say those words for her but it is the right thing to do.

"I can't Marina, I love Marco that's why I need your help. Go to my place and pretend to be me.  You will introduce your self as me," she said that makes my eyes widen.

"Why Mirana? Why me?" I asked , why can"t she just tell him the truth to get the out of the tangled she did.

"I can't stand his stares that I might gave away. I love him, but Marco is the one who I truly love. So if you do it, it will no longer hard for me to break up with him. Come on Marina please," she stated as she hold firmly my hands.

"Break up?" I asked in disbelief at the words she had said.

"Yes Marina, tell him that I don't love him and I don't need him," she stated as she looks desperately into my eyes.

"Don't be so hard on him. And besides he loves you and it is not fair for him for you to split up with no valid reason. He though you were dead, he though you were gone for good. Then I'll show up? What if everything will gone wrong or even more complicated?"

"Marco is a wealthy man and there's no reason for him to know that I am alive. Marina, it's been 2 years and I think that he already moved on," she said as if it's nothing to her.

"What if he's still waiting? Hoping that someday you'll come back for him."

"Please Marina, do this for me. It is only temporary that you will not endure to him," she pleaded and because of that I could not be suppressed to ask her.

"Does he knows me?" I asked even though I cant bear to her hear her answer.

"Not yet"

"When will I leave?" I asked while glancing at the mirror, I looked at my own reflection.

I will be just a substitute for the person I love.

"Next day Marina as soon as possible I will handle everything," she said and her poor appearance replaced another aura.

"Okay," I finally give in. It's just temporary and I can't last. And I hope all that she says are true.

Adam was my first love since I was 13. Mirana and him was the best of friends that time, I can't show myself to him because Mirana didn't like me to be friend by him. She says she just wanted to protect me but deep inside I know that she doesn't want me, she doesn't want to have a twin sister. I was not surprised that even now Adam doesn't know that Mirana have a twin sister and that's me.

I will never forget the first time we held hand. Mirana and him was playing at the backyard when Mirana left because she is going to prepare some snacks and juice for them.

I walked out of our room. I was tiptoeing when I was in the middle of the stairs. When I am almost near at the door someone grab my hand, my body turned stiff when I heard his voice.

"Mirana, come I have to show you something," he said full of excitement on his voice.

I immediatelypulled out my hand on his grip. I hurriedly ran into our room and ignore his calls in my sister's name.

Mirana waited Adam to leave before she walked into our room fuming. She shouted and shouted that what will happen if Adam caught her and discover she had a twin. She was very upset those days.

And now she needs my help. I could see Adam again, it was one of those I wanted but only to be the shadow of my twin sister.

ADAM'S POV

I grimaced in the annoyance of who the fucking calling me at this time.

"What the! it's 3 in the morning and who is the **** calling in the middle of the night?" I muttered in anger and searched for my phone. I immediately looked at the caller's ID who interrupted my sleep.

"Scott, what do you want?" I annoyingly asked him as I rubbed my forehead.

"Sorry for disturbing your sleep but would you do me a favor?" I tsk I wanted to punch his face and his groin for ruining my sleep.

I sighed deeply before answering. This guy is really trying my patience.

"What is it?" I asked calmly trying to hold my temper.

"Would you fetch my cousin at the airport? I can't fetch him now because I'm kind of a busy man here in my office doing this project that should be yours."

"Okay! What is the specific time and what airport?" I finally agreed.

He told the time of the arrival of his cousin and the place.

Airport 8:00 am

I'm here already at the bench waiting and it's been an hour of waiting. Scott told me that exactly 8 is the arrival of the plane so I patiently waited for an hour.

When suddenly a man appeared in front of me.

"Adam dude!" the man in front of me exclaimed.

"Yes?" I asked arching my right eyebrow.

"It's me Keiro! Remember? Cousin of Scott?" His introduce while pointing his self.

I stood at my seat and punch his shoulder gently. He's already a grown up man. I can't even recognize him.

"Man! What was that for?" he fumed as he hold the part that I punch.

"That's for keep me waiting."

We look at each other's eyes for a minute and burst into a laugh cause to people to turn their heads on us.

"Oh man! You didn't fail again. I always lose," he whine like a kid. Yep, His appearance changed but was still young enough to think.

"Because I'm good," I grinned cause him to rolled his eyes.

"No you're not. I can't help myself but to close my gorgeous eyes. Look at you, are you planning to be call by someone a hermit because you really look like one," he laugh so hard while saying those word.

"Shut up! Get your  belongings and don't expect me to help you " I said and turn my heels on him leaving him full of complains.

We were heading out in the place when I suddenly saw a woman in a red dress clutching her bag while crossing our path.My heart pounded fast when I saw her face and I went numb when our eyes meet.

It's her, it is truly her.

I ran towards her. I ignored Keiro who is shouting at me. All I know is her, she came back, she's alive and she's not dead. I didn't bother to excuse in every person I ran. Until I grab her wrist cause her to turn her head to me. I still can't believe that it's her. I swear I am not mistaken

"Adam," she softly said but enough for me to hear it.

"You know me?" I asked, looking straight into her eyes. She says my name I heard it clearly coming from her mouth.

"N-no!" she said trying to pull way and to lose his grip.

"You say my name," I gritted as hold firmly her shoulders.

"I-I dont k-know y-you. Let go of me!," she shouted and she ran away.

I don't know why I hadn't followed her to feel my own feet as if I had been paralyzed at my place. I just looked at her until she got lost in my sight.

She says my name even though she say it under her breath. I really heard it right she says my name loud and clear.

"Adam! Who are you following?" Keiro suddenly appeared.I almost forget that I was with him.

"Nothing," I answered still looking at the street where Mirana left.

"Okay? Shall we go? I'm starving and I badly need some rest, jet lag bro," he said and he looks drowsy.

"Let's go, get your luggage and put them on the car."

"What are you waiting?" he asked before opening the front door of the car.

I really believe it was her, she's alive. But I don't know why she keep on denying that she didn't know me while in fact she says my name. Why did she deny that she didn't know me? I hope that all of my questions will have an answer.

Mirana just come back into my life. I'll forgive whatever you have done. Just come back.
