De_Sires

1 - just a little stumble (prologue)

"a-ah, stay a-away de-mon," the ravenette choked out, shoving a random picture frame into the monster's wrinkily face.

the monster only giggled maniacally, broken sounds leaving it's thin lips before it advanced on the kid.

"i c-an h-ear...." broken words left its mouth, bringing shivers down jeongguk's spine.

large tears flowed down the ravenette's pale, white cheeks as he tried to scramble off the front porch.

sweat dripped down his neck, drenching his black tee.

the creature made snorting sounds as if it was amused by the boy's actions. it reached out a bony hand, grasping at thin air.

"w- -here are yo-u?" the monster mumbled out, it's red, pulsing hand suddenly mutating into a large blob of veiny flesh as it stretched further out.

jeongguk silently shoved himself out of the way of the repulsing limb, pressing his hand to his mouth, limiting the muffled sobs which threatened to escape.

the monster is blind, he realised, holding back a choking sob when the creature mumbled incoherently and shuffled back into the house.

jeongguk rose to his shaky feet, not daring to let out a sigh of relief in fear of the monster coming back out.

he stepped onto the cracked pavement which lead elsewhere, glancing back at his once living area.

he wiped his bleary eyes. jeongguk's mind was still muddled with gory thoughts as thin droplets of water started pouring from the gloomy sky.

the outbreak -as scientists called it- started out approximately a week ago, "infecting" thousands at once just from south korea. though no scientific research or findings could explain what type of virus or bacteria could mutate a human that quickly, the scientists were baffled and stubborn.

the monsters had been roaming the streets for days, in search of who knows what. it was rumoured that they eat humans..

jeongguk lived alone in his three bedroom house, despite being only 19 years old. but now he had no where else to go.

he dragged his gaze around the streets, spotting a weird looking silhouette behind the curtain of rain and fog.

whats that.. jeongguk's mind immediately went to all the wrong places. another demon?

his pupils contracted, eyes stinging from the wind as the silhouette got clearer and clearer.

m-monster...he thought as his entire body started shaking once again, his blood running cold in his veins when be noticed the lanky build of the monster.

its silhouette was becoming clearer by the second.

something was wrong.

instead of the usual shade of dark red skin, the creature was a dirty white, black corroded veins popping everywhere. its head was fish-like, its eyes grew on the side.

jeongguk shuddered, quickly turning back and running the opposite direction.

he was sure the monster could smell him even through the rain.

black spots appeared in his vision not because he was going to faint. adrenaline coursed through his body.

dont stop running, dont stop running...

2 - eye to eye

the brunette forced his puffy eyes open, revealing one discoloured pale red eye alongside the other crimson red one.

there was something going on -other than the monster apocalypse- which he just could not put his finger on.

a loud thud had woken him up, sounding much like his black cat falling off his scratching post but that would normally not wake him up.

yes, he is sleeping in the middle of an apocalyptic period but hey, everyone is gonna die someday.

jimin pushed himself to his feet, dragging them wearily to his front door.

i swear to god, if its another one of those dumb monster.... he thought, picking up his makeshift electrical spear which was very much caked with dry monster blood.

he trudged to the front door, vision now clear.

grasping his spear tightly, jimin swung the door open, prepared to stab his weapon into whatever was behind the door.

but he was not quite expecting this.

on his porch, lay a delicate looking boy, wearing a drenched black tee, cargo pants and a classic SnapBack.

dried blood pooled on the side of his forehead.

jimin inspected him suspiciously.

monsters were had either dark red or dirty white flesh, the boy laid in front of him had normal beige skin, some areas more tan than others.

a large gash above the boy's eyebrow had jimin's concerned side coming out.

he picked up the boy, wrapping his arm around his petite waist.

he's pretty light... jimin mused, brushing the boy's hair away from his bloody forehead.

and he's pretty...

jungkook woke up, his head killing itself with a tremendously intense headache.

also with a pair of pretty red eyes staring into his.

jungkook tried to scramble up. tried.

he only collapsed back down on the couch, a groan escaping his lips.

"woah, dude, chill. you have a minor concussion and you ankle is fractured, take it easy," the guy's red eyes softened into little crescents as a small smile broke out on his lips.

jungkook silently watched as the guy pushed a cushion behind his back, allowing him to sit up properly.

"what happened?" the question spilled out of his mouth before he could comprehend it.

the guy furrowed his brows, "you dont remember?"

jungkook tried to remember, but his migraine only got worse. "no?" it was more of a question.

"well, im not sure too, i found you passed out on my front porch, you were either attacked by a monster... or for some reason hit yourself in the head and tripped onto my porch, but whatever," the dude chuckled but jungkook did not share his humour.

he stared at his pale feet as memories came rushing back like a tidal wave.

his house. the monster. running in the rain.

it was like a nightmare in a nightmare.

jungkook felt like passing out, his eyes met with the dude's hazy red ones. it looked like worry and confusion in his eyes.

it has been a long time since he had seen someone worry over him.

it feels comforting... and nice.
