Kaoru Kanade's Pov

"You look beautiful," my mother says as she turns me around in my chair.

Her hand just softly touches my cheek. I lean in to her touch because its comforting.

I stand and my white lace long-sleeved dress falls to the floor having a tail at the end. My heels are a sparkly white.

I look in the mirror and see a beautiful girl who is not me but someone else.

I turn to my mother and see that she is in her nice and simple red dress. Tonight is the Alpha King's Blue Moon Ball. He has it every year for his son to find his mate. I always have to go but never did I find my mate.

Probably, cause I just turned eighteen. Maybe this year he will be here. My father politely knocks on the door as he opens it. My parents are the deltas of our pack, Akai Sora Pack, they help train everyone and are the pack's best trackers, well my father is anyway.

I look at them and envy their love for each other. I am an only child due to my mothers birth defects. I wasn't suppose to make it but I did. I do have some birth defects though like asthma and panic attacks.

But not as frequently as I used to when I was younger. My dad tends to baby me because of this. It's not normal for a werewolf to have these kind of defects. Normal werewolves don't have any at all. Sadly I do but I have learned to embrace it because its who I am.

"You look beautiful, sweetheart," My father says snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Thank you dad," I say quietly.

We walk out of my room and head outside into the limo. We made it outside and I see my best friends in the whole world, Kazuna and Chiyo. Kazuna was the Beta's daughter and Chiyo was the Alpha's daughter.

They have always been there for me no matter what the others say about me. Always have been there and always will be, just as I will be for them. Chiyo has been really protective of Kazuna and I. Probably because of how close we are. Maybe it just runs in her blood.

We get in the limo and I sat in between the two of them. Kazuna is jumping excitingly and Chiyo is looking at her like she's crazy. Maybe she is. Kazuna is the hyper and happy one of our little group, a little preppy. Chiyo is the sarcastic and very blunt one, kinda a rebel. I am the little quiet nerdy person who would rather read a book and search the internet than go to parties and wild things like that.

Chiyo would always drag Kazuna and I along because she thinks that it is funny how awkward I am at parties. But I love her for it because she never lets me get hurt or put me in harms way. She does this because she says it makes me experience the party life. Her words not mine. But, Kazuna would occasionally get drunk and we would have to drag her out and take her home.

We finally arrived at the Alpha King's pack house. We got out nice and orderly and headed inside. Both of my parents are by my side and Chiyo and Kazuna are with their parents. We walked in and I almost gasp in amazement at how beautifully decorated this room is.

Gold streamers line the walls and there are tables everywhere with light golden cloths, the chairs have a squishy white seat, there are servants dressed in black and white.

Everyone is dressed up in suits and colorful dresses. We walked to our assigned table and take a seat. I couldn't sit with Chiyo and Kazuna because they seated us by our ranks. They looked at me and waved. I waved back and turned around when my mother taps my shoulder.

"Are you enjoying it?" My mother asks.

"It's amazing! The decorating is very precise and beautiful," I reply.

Everyone turns around when the Alpha King and Luna came down the spiral staircase. We all bowed down as they walk in. Next comes the Alpha King's daughter Hana and son Tatsuya. I heard that Tatsuya is very scary and cruel to all his enemies. There used to be another royal child but no one knows what happened to her.

They walked down and took a seat on their thrones. They all match with a gold, black and white theme. We bowed respectfully as a greeting to them. The Alpha King holds up his hand. We went silent immediately.

"I would like to thank you all for attending this years Blue Moon Ball. I am very ...." he says but I tune out wondering about Colton. His name brings chills to my spine.

"Thank you, now let's start with some dancing," he says at the end.

My father leans over and whispers in my ear.

"Hey kiddo, next time you want to tune out make it not look so obvious."

I blushed and hid my face in my hands. I glance at him to see that he is grinning because he caught me. Momma looks at us and smiles.

"Honey, why don't you go and dance with Chiyo and Kazuna," My mother says.

I nodded and stood up. I instantly spot Chiyo and Kazuna. I walked over to them and we chat quietly.

"Tatsuya looked delicious tonight. I wonder who his mate is? Lucky girl!" Kazuna says.

"Not really because I heard he sleeps around with almost every girl in his pack," Chiyo said as she crossed her arms.

"Maybe he would change for his mate. You never know who it could be," I say.

Little did I know.

"Possible," Rose says.

"That would be so cute!" Kazuna replies.

We all laughed at Kazuna. When three boys come and ask us to dance. We separated and each boys takes us away to dance.

I got the boy who had curly brown hair. He had vibrant green eyes, strong build and very tall at least 6'4.

He was very good looking. Very important too because he had power radiating of him.

"The name is Mitsuo. What might yours be miss?" He asks.

"Kaoru." I reply.

We waltzed silently. Very awkward actually.

"Not much if a talker are you?"

Yes I am.

"Only if I am uncomfortable." I say.

"So I make you uncomfortable?" He says.

"Kinda but I never really go to parties and dance."

"Lies," My wolf Kara says.

"Shut up," I tell her.

"Truth hurts and you are so mean!" She says.

"Bye Kara," I say already done dealing with her.

"See yah!" She chirps.

"Talking to your wolf, huh? I noticed your eyes changed colors," Mitsuo says.

"Oh sorry, she just kinda said something to me."

"Nah, its fine," he says.

We head back inside after our dance.

I told Mitsuo I had to go and I walked to the bathroom. On the way there I bump onto a wall or a very muscled chest.

I looked up and see Tatsuya. He looks at me and his eyes turned a golden color. He growls and pulls me closer. I feel sparks erupting all over my skin where he touches.

"Mate," Kara says.

Oh no!

He growls loudly catching everyones attention and says,

"MINE!"

I looked into his intense golden eyes and almost fainted from the contact. I stared at him and he stares back.

"My mate," he said quietly only for me to hear.

I stand there in shock and just gaped at him. I can't be his mate. I can't be an Alpha Queen. I can't do it! I was shaking and panic seemed to rush through me. I look up to see his eyes full of concern.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" he said worriedly.

I start to see black spots dotting my vision.

"She's having a panic attack!" I heard my mother say before I blacked out.

Tatsuya Shoji's Pov

It has been a few hours since my mate passed out from her panic attack. I learned that her name was Kaoru.

Beautiful.

I get on my knees at the edge of her bed and grab her hand and start to rub it back and forth.

She is so beautiful, perfect.

My mate.

I love her already. I just want to see her beautiful brown eyes again. The minute she went limp in my arms, my whole world crumbled down. I thought I had lost her after I just met her.

She looked so peaceful sleeping.

"I can feel her wolf," My wolf Taka says.

"I just want her to be alright."

"Kara told me that she is working her hardest to heal."

"She will be fine, right?" I ask.

"She should be," He says and leaves.

"Tatsuya," I heard her say in her sleep.

I chuckled and pull her closer to me. She cuddles into my side snoring slightly and rubs her head in between my neck and shoulder.

I hear her breathing move slowly and move to put her back gently. I pulled away and heard her whimper from our loss of contact.

"I will be back quickly, sweetheart."

I lay her back down and I left to go get the pack doctor.

Kaoru Kanade's Pov

I woke up to see that I am in a room that is not mine but it smells like Tatsuya. I feel myself relax from the intoxicating scent.

Tatsuya left the room to go get the pack doctor says in his note he left at the side table when I looked around and checked my surroundings. I turned around to see that the walls are a cream color and the bed spread is a dark blue and cream. I see a balcony and a white plush couch and wide screen TV. It's basically like a little house in here with a kitchen and everything.

I heard the door open and see Colton and the pack doctor.

"Miss Kaoru, I am just going to check your heart rate and pulse and then you should be fine." The pack doctor who's name is Kurama.

After Dr. Kurama left, Tatsuya helped me sit up and we talked for a bit. I am still kinda frightened of him a little but more comfortable than before.

We had talked about him and me, about when he is going to take over and stuff like that. Avoiding the topic of us being mates.

It's getting late and Colton helps me from the bed and walks me to a guest room.

We went pass at the door and he helps me sit down on the bed. He takes off my nursing gown, eyes closed, and helps me get into some PJs.

I laid down and we stared into each other's eyes. I got lost and didn't notice him lean in. He's getting closer and I feel sparks on my lips from his close proximity. He looks so dominating and perfect.

Wait, perfect? I never wanted a mate, afraid that he would reject me.

His lips brush mine when I turn my head away. He kisses my cheek instead.

"Goodnight," He says.

"Goodnight," I say and turn my head and get comfortable.

As I dose off he kisses my head and I heard a faint whisper but I didn't understand it.

I woke up to the sun flashing in my eyes so I turned the other way. When I find out that I can't go back to sleep, I got up and head to the bathroom to take a shower. I think about everything that has happened as the water runs against me. I can't be a Luna especially a Queen. I just don't know if I can handle all of the pressure of being a Luna of all werewolves.

I'm not even a full werewolf, I never shifted and I don't have super speed or super strength. I can only see and smell like one. I get the genes from my parents so I guess I am sorta pretty.

I got out of the shower and grab a towel and brush my teeth. I wash my face and curl my hair and braid my bangs back. I put on some eyeliner and mascara.

I wrap a towel tighter around my body and head inside the guest room. I went inside the closet and see clothes for me on one side of the closet.

I got dressed in some dark jeans and a cream sweater with my lace up boots. I grabbed some small earrings and walked out the room.

I stand in the hallway awkwardly and looked around to find out where I am. Confused, I just walked around and got lost in the way. At the end of the hallway, I just sighed and leaned on the wall.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and see Mitsuo.

"Lost? Follow me," he says and I follow him.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

Is he supposed to be in this section of the castle?

"Tatsuya told me to come and get you."

"So are you his b-"

"Beta, yes."

I knew he was someone important.

"Oh. Well where is Tatsuya then?" I ask.

"In the office with his father."

"Are we meeting him there or?" I say leaving the question hanging for him to answer.

"You ask a lot questions don't you?"

"Yes," Kara said.

"Shut up," I say back.

"And no, he is meeting you after breakfast," Mitsuo said.

"Okay then, sounds great," I reply as he leads me to the dining room.

We walked in and everyone turns and they bowed. I started to feel uncomfortable and Mitsuo grabs my hand drags me into the kitchen.

We made waffles and coffee. I put peanut butter and syrup on mine and heat it up. I grab a cup of coffee and add a bunch of sugar and milk to make it extra sweet.

I grab my plate of waffles take a seat on the barstool. Mitsuo tells me about the castle and where everything is.

After we finished, he leads me to the office and we walked in. I see an angry Tatsuya and a frustrated Alpha King, which I later learned his name was Hayato.

Anyways both looked heated. I walked towards Tatsuya as he was growling at his father. I started to feel intimidated at the power of both Alphas. I shrink back and Tatsuya turns around to look at me. He eyes are black. He is pissed.

"Go calm him down!" Kara exclaims.

"How? He is scary!" I say.

"Walk over and hug him and rub his back. His wolf is going to take over if you don't move soon."

I hesitantly walked over to him and I hugged him and rubbed my hands up and down his back. I feel his breathing even out and I know he is calmed down.

I turn to see Tatsuya's mother, Koemi, calming her mate. She looks at me and walks over and hugs me. We pulled away and she smiles warmly at me. I smiled back.

"I'm Kaoru." I say.

"Hello, dear! I have been waiting to meet you. Just call me aunt Koemi or mom, as I would prefer," she says and puts her hands on my shoulders and pulls me into a hug.

She let go when Tatsuya pulls me into his chest. We took a seat with me on his lap. His mother looks at us and smiles.

His father is glaring at us, scarily I might add. *I*wonder why? Does he not like us together? Or does he not like me?

Tatsuya senses my distress and pulls me closer nuzzling his head into my neck. I squirmed, foreign to the feeling of someone nuzzling my neck. Koemi glances at me and sees my distress toward her husband. She walks over to him and leads him out the office. I nodded to her in thanks.

Mitsuo stands there awkwardly and then walks out. Probably uncomfortable. Tatsuya is still holding me but now he is slowly rocking me. I looked into his blue eyes and nearly faint from how vibrant they are. He stares back at me.

"Are you alright?" He asks, his voice giving me chills.

"I'm fine, just shaken up a bit."

"Don't mind my father, he is always glaring at someone." He reassures me.

He sniffs the air and his eyes turned gold with lust. He rushes us upstairs to our room and pushes me into the wall.

He attacks my lips and I responded. Our kiss was lead by hunger and very passionate.

He nibbles at my bottom lip asking for an entrance and I rejected it.

He growls lowly and I shivered.

"I can't control my wolf any longer," He says out of breath.

"We have to stop," I say.

He nods and we part ways. I head out of his office and went back upstairs to my room.

I grabbed my phone and dialed Chiyo's number.

"Hello," I hear her say groggily.

"Chiyo? Can we talk?" I ask.

"Kaoru? Is that you? Kazuna! Ruru Bear is back!" I hear her yell.

Next thing I heard really blows my ears out.

"Ruru! Are you okay? How is the castle? Are you doing alright? How are you and Tatsuya?" Kazuna questions.

Another thing about Kazuna, she tends to ask questions a lot.

I told them I am fine and we gossiped about Tatsuya and the pack news. Apparently, everyone knows about me and my panic attack. We talk about Hairi, our pack slut, who is complaining about it not being her. I just laughed and we talked about everything.

I miss my friends. I feel so distant from them.

"I'm gonna miss you guys," I say.

I hear them aww and reply.

"We are gonna miss you too!"

We said our farewells and I hang up. I looked around the room and see a pad of paper and pencil.

I grabbed it and started doodling on the page. I let my mind wander as I draw and see that I drew a black wolf.

Tatsuya.

Kaoru Kanade's Pov

I look outside, and see the sun setting. I put the notebook on the side table and get dressed for bed.

When I finished I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," I say.

The door opens and a lady with blonde hair and green eyes sits down beside me.

"Luna I give you my graces, and want to know how are you settling in," She says.

What she means by giving her graces is that she approves of Tatsuya and I.

"Thank you and I am actually doing alright," I reply.

We talk some more and I now know her name is Enma and she is mates with Mitsuo. Well great! Someone else I can talk to.

At least for now.

I lay down and close my eyes ready to sleep but can't. I look at the time and see the it's 2AM.

I groan internally and get up. I walk out the room but not before checking my surroundings. I walk to Tatsuya's room and open the door quietly.

He is sleeping soundly, his face pushed into the pillow with an arm hanging off.

Cute.

I turn around when I hear him say something.

"Come here."

I walk over to the bed and he pulls me down. I am stuck under his arm and he pulls me closer.

Umm... what to do now?

I look at him and see he is sleeping soundly. He seems comfortable so why am I not?

"Kara?" I call out to her.

"Yes?"

"I can't sleep."

"Breathe in mates scent and you will fall asleep."

I do as she says and breathe in his scent and dose off onto cloud nine.

Tatsuya Shoji's Pov

I woke up to see my mate curled into my side sleeping. I have waited 3 years to find her. She looks so perfect, sleeping beside me. I let my hands roam up and down her side.

I can't wait to see her become Alpha Queen or become my wife. I can't wait to see her become round with my pups in her belly, or having our first kid together. I can't wait for our child to walk or speak and then graduate. I want us to become old and enjoy life together.

I feel her move beneath me and made a small noise.

She is too cute. And she already has me wrapped around her little finger.

I look down to she her beautiful chocolate eyes.

"Hi," She says with smile.

"Hi," I say back and she giggles.

That sounded amazing.

I roll us over so that I was on top and nuzzled my head in her neck. She smelt like cherry blossoms and vanilla. I felt her run her hand through my hair tugging softly.

"Tatsuya, where are my parents?" She asks and I raise my up to answer.

"They had to go back to your pack and deal with some problems."

"What problems?" She asks.

Koaru Kanade's Pov

"What problems?" I asked him.

"Um some rogues were spotted on the land and they need them to go track it," He said scratching the back of his neck looking at me nervously.

I just sit there in shock because they left me here, alone without a goodbye. I feel tears well up in my eyes. I try not to let them fall because I don't want to cry because crying is weak, as my father taught me.

A traitor tear falls and Tatsuya grabs me and pulls me to his chest wiping away my tears. He rocked us back and forth, calming me with each move. I look into his eyes and see sadness and anger.

What was he angry for?

"Why are you angry?" I ask my voice still shaky.

"Because they made you sad," He says in a tight voice. I grab his hand and rub it smoothly.

"I'm going to be okay," I reassure him.

He growls and picks me up. He takes me to the bathroom and sets me on the counter. He turns and walks towards the shower and turns it on. He starts to strip.

Am I like suppose to get in with him? I mean it would be nice to shower with him.

"You coming?" He asks, stark ***** I may add.

"Um," I couldn't finish that thought because he rips my t-shirt and panties off and picks me up. He carries me to the shower and gets in behind me.

I strain my neck to look into his eyes.

He has to be about 6'6 and I'm 5'1. Big height difference. He has to bend down to kiss me.

So lost in my thoughts that I didn't feel his hands start to wonder to my area.

I smacked his hand and growled at him.

"Ouch!" He yells rubbing his hand.

I turn around only to have him pinch my ***.

"Nice ***, babe."

He grabs my mid-section and turns me around pulling me closer. He grabs the soap and massages my back with it. I moan from how good it feels, forgetting that I am mated to a horny male.

He growls brings my lips into a kiss, quickly raising me up and pushing me against the wall. He kisses are rough and needy. He greedily kisses down my neck.

Anyway he kisses my neck roughly sucking making me moan. The water got turned off and Tatsuya carried me to the bed and set me down gently. He gets on top and starts kissing me again until the door opens.

"OH MY GOD! PLEASE PUT SOME CLOTHES ON! SHIT!" Mitsuo yelled as he entered our room covering his eyes.

I hid my face deeper into the sheets trying to hide my face, too embarrassing! Tatsuya chuckles at me after he growled at Mitsuo.

"Dude, hurry up your father wants you now," Mitsuosays and quickly closes the door.

I giggle as Tatsuya digs his face in my neck, his dark hair tickling me.

I heard him chuckle as he get up. He walks to the closet to get dressed. I lay on the bed wrapped in sheets.

Tatsuya came out the closet grumbling incoherent words. I see that he is still upset at his father from last night.

Hopefully everything's alright. I get up and almost squeal from excitement. I have never went that fat with a male, ever. Yes I am very unexperienced in the boyfriend department.

I stop my thinking and walk to the closet and pick out a shirt with some jeans and my black converse. I pull my hair up into a ponytail and wear a white bow. I leave and walk downstairs to the kitchen.

I walk in and everyone bows and I see Enma. I walked over to her and sat down beside her.

We talked a little bit and I noticed that she is very funny and silly. I finish the amazing breakfast and Enma and I walk to the office.

I was about to open the door when Enma stops me.

"You have to knock or it's considered 'disrespectful' and because the Alpha King doesn't like people coming into his office."

I knock and I hear a come in. I walk in and see Tatsuya and Mitsuo going over some papers.

"Let's take a break," Tatsuya says.

Mitsuo and Enma left the room leaving Tatsuya and I alone. I walked over and sat on the chair across from the desk. I curled my legs up and set my chin on my knees. I looked at him as he is signing papers.

He looks at me and catches me staring at him. I hid my face in my knees and heard him chuckle. A chair squeaks and I feel his arms wrap around me and pick me up.

He carries me to his desk and sits me on his lap. I look at the window and see pack members outside. Children running, women gossiping and men chilling out.

I been here for two weeks and have actually enjoyed myself. It's very different from my own pack at least I am somewhat loved here. And have more company and everyone is so easy to talk to.

I smile and turn around. I saw Tatsuya right in my face when I turned around. I gasp at our close proximity. I start to blush and face my head down.

His fingers bring my face back up and he gently kisses my lips. I kissed back.

Wait, I never wanted a mate.

My mind says, but my body doesn't agree.

I pulled away and laid my head on his chest. As I look outside again he rubs my back and legs.

"Does your dad hate me?" I ask.

"With him it's been different since she had died."

"Who?" I say before I can stop myself.

I hear him sigh. I covered my mouth and apologized. He takes my hand away and pulls me closer.

I didn't mean to make him upset. I feel guilt rush through me.

"You can tell me when your ready," I reassured him.

He nods and picks me up and sets me down. We walked out of his office and head upstairs to our rooms.

We make it up the stairs to our corridor and I was about to walk into my room. A hand stops me. I turned to look into his eyes.

I nod knowing what he means and we walk to his room. We laid down and went to sleep.
