She was sitting at the corner of the room sobbing as she heard someone scream " you bitch! keep the noise level down! I'm trying to watch TV here!" she heard that and instantly silenced herself. "don't sit around doing nothing! go help the butler's cook you lazy ***!" he screamed from the living room. It was Leo, he and Mia had a love marriage and were very much in love before things escalated downwards. One lie from his little sister Elena was all it took for him to stop trusting her and hate her. Elena lied that she had an affair with her supposingly other boyfriend and Leo believed her. she has been living hell ever since. "Mia! I can't seem to clean this stuff on the floor can you help me?" Elena yelled from her room, talk of the devil. Mia went to her room and saw glass lying on the floor, she tried to pick one piece but as soon as she put her hand on top of the piece of glass to lift it Elena pressed her hand on the glass with her leg. "Ow ow please let go Elena what are you doing!?" Mia yelped in pain. Why do you think I'm gonna let you go so easily? I'm bored and I have nothing better to do!" she yelled. after 10 minutes of Mia begging her to let go she finally let her hand go. Mia pulled her hand back to her and started sobbing in pain, "what is it little miss cry ivy? are you hurt? you want me to join you?" she asked in an evil way, Mia looked at her with fear, she was up to no good. Elena took a piece of glass and ran it through her own arm and blood started to poor out. "Owwwww! Mia how could you!" she yelled at her pretending to be in pain, Leo immediately ran to her room to find her hand scared, "what happened Elena?" he asked her, "look Leo this bitch just scratched me with this piece of glass! I don't know why she's so crazy!" Elena said sobbing. Mia just looked at her with her eyes full of tears and insult. "How dare you, you child of a bitch!" Leo screamed and dragged Mia by her hair to another room and threw her down to the ground and locked the door. Mia cried uncontrollably and looked outside the window, it was past 7 pm and she was gazing at the stars with her Beautiful till coloured eyes reflecting the stars making them look even more beautiful. She let out her tears and thought to herself "why is my life like this? I never did anything wrong that I have to have a life like this" it had been 2 years since she had been bearing this torture. She was so tired today that she dozed off. She woke up to a sharp pain on her ankle, when she slowly opened her eyes she screamed in pain and horror! It was Leo who was pressing a burnt iron rod against her ankle. "Leo what are your doing?! Let me go!" she yelled in pain. "You deserve this! if it wasn't for you I would've married another woman who was worthy of me!" he screamed and let go of her ankle. She touched her ankle and cried in pain. Leo left the room. After a while Elena came to Mia's room and again gave her an evil smile, she screamed in pain and threw a piece of glass on Mia, as soon as Leo entered the room she went and hugged him and said "Mia tried to cut my hand again I don't know what's wrong with her" she said. Leo got very angry with her this time and pulled Mia with her leg and threw her into a small closet sized room, "I'll be back when you are an inch away from death" he yelled at her before banging the door shut. "What has my life become?" Mia wondered to herself while sobbing.

she was sitting in that closet and miserably looking at the ceiling, "why is it always me? will my life ever change?" she said with deep sadness in her heart. After about 3 hours the door to the closet opened, it was Ashley the butler, the only person in the whole world who was kind to Mia, "mistress, please come out fast!" she spoke softly, Mia quickly came out, "thankyou so much Ashley I don't know if I would survive without you" Mia said greatfully. "Mistress I stole some of the food master ordered the cook to make and kept it for you, please have it" saying these words she handed Mia a paper plate with some chicken and rice on it, "thankyou so much Ashley I was gonna starve to death" Mia said. Ashley was the reason Mia survived for so long in this hell, she too was mistreated by the house incharge and the other cooks and she was only working here because she had no means to earn money and she had to look after her son as a single mother whenever something like this would happen causing Mia to go without food, she would arrange something for her to eat. "mistress please go back in quick I think someone is coming" Ashley said with fear in her eyes. Mia quickly went in with the food and Ashley quietly locked the door of the closet. Just as Ashley locked the door someone entered the room, it was Elena. She glared at Ashley with suspicion but she stopped when she saw Ashley wasn't giving any reaction. But as a matter of fact Elena can't find happiness in anyone's peace, so she dropped the glass mug she was holding on the floor and it broke to millions of pieces. She harshly yelled at Ashley "well? what are you looking at? clean this mess up!" "yes ma'am right away". Ashley said in a sad but assuring way. She quickly sweeped the broken glass and went to throw it outside the mansion. After she left Elena knocked the closet door and Mia answered "yes?" in a very depressed tone, "bet you are starving in there aren't u? bitch you deserve it for marrying my brother!" she screamed in anger. "Please let me out Elena I beg you" Mia sobbed and and said. "shut your dirty mouth bitch! your nothing but little miss hoe who was just lucky to get Leo" she screamed. Lucky her ***, she was far from that. she landed from hell to hell, her parents never really got together, she was always hated by both of them and she thought her marriage would change something but it made her life worse than what it use to be. at evening when she was nearly suffocating Leo opened the door and pulled her out with her wrist. "Why are u saving me from that suffocation? why not just kill me and get rid of me?" she asked him while sobbing. "You really think I'm gonna let u die that easily? I'm gonna torture you to my heart's content, until I get bored of seeing you suffer, your life is not gonna change you *****!" he yelled at her sarcastically and left. She didn't even have tears in her eyes, she had no tears left to cry. She had lost hope from life now.

It was the next morning and Mia went downstairs to look for Ashley because she wanted to thank her for yesterday, but has couldn't find her, infancy she couldn't find any maid or butlers. Leo saw that she was looking for something, "were you looking for the workers? why? are you having an affair with most of them too?" Leo asked in an insulting way, "no! I was looking for Ashley because I wanted to give her.......her hair tie that she forgot" Mia said with a little hesitation, of course she couldn't tell Leo that she wanted to thank her for giving her food yesterday. "I put all of them on leave today, workers need time too you know in fact since your goofing why don't you go ahead and do all the household work?" Leo asked her. Mia was shocked, it was a freaking MANSION they were living in. It took 5 butlers to clean the whole house how could she do it all on her own? She didn't wanna start a fight in the morning so she agreed to Leo. First she did the dusting of the bottom floor (the mansion had 2 floors and a terrace) and then she went to the second floor, but when she was in the second floor Leo yelled at her from the first floor she ran downstairs and looked at Leo with fear in her eyes. "I'm hungry! go get something to cook from the market and don't you dare try to run away!" he yelled at her. She slightly nodded and left. As she was going to the market, a guy who seemed to be in his early 40s approached her and asked her how old she was, "I'm 21 sir" she replied. "we'll miss....?" he said and paused "call me miss Ivy" Mia said. "ok! miss Ivy I'm amazed by how beautiful you look, I work for the cinifield do u wanna become a star? I won't expect you to say yes right away! here is my card contact me when you make up your mind" saying so he handed her a business card with his number and name written on it "mr. Williams". "thankyou sir" Mia said with a smile on her face and went back to her house. She didn't really give his offer much thought. Leo would never allow her to become a heroine, she thought. But for some reason she didn't feel like throwing away the card so she kept it in her basket and went home. After she reached Leo yelled at her "get your lazy *** up and make me something! I'm damn hungry!". Mia nodded and rushed to the kitchen. As she was unpacking her basket she found the card and put it in her secret compartment that no one knew about. No one but Ashley of course who always helped her protect the compartment. She got back to work and made Leo some vegetable fry and salami sandwiches. She sighed that he wouldn't make a scene and went to give him the food.
