I wake up to sunlight shinning though the window directly into my eyes. I look around my room to find my head maid opening the dark gray drapes with dark blue embroidery to let some light into my room. I do not know her name because I am not allowed to I'm not allowed to know any servents name. Mother says they are not important enough for me to memorize their names. Siting up in bed I realize that the tattered training suit that I had layed on my couch last night has been replaced with a brand new dark grey one. Even though I don't know much about my head maid she sure knows a lot about me. She knows I'm not supposed to train yet she still brings me a training suit that is exactly fit to me. I give her a faint smile and ask " So what dress do I have to wear today?"

Like usual she says nothing and walks over to my walk in closet to get the dress that my mother has picked for me to wear. When she emerges with the dress I stare at it for a second looking over the dark grey silk. It's a long full dress that flatters my small frame. Everything in the castle is blue and grey the colors of my parents abilities. My things are mostly silver becauae I'm Magnetron. Maven stuff is mostly blue because he is a Nymh. I groan as she pulls out a corset. Mother says it makes me look more refined and elegant but I just feel trapped. I've gotten used to it over the years but I still hate it. I've decided to name my maid Sally. I only ever say it when I'm alone with her or I would be yelled at by my mother. I have no idea what she would do to Sally if she found out I gave her a name. I'm so afraid to find out what she would do. If she killed her I would never forgive myself for being stupid enough to disobey my mother. The dress slips on with ease and fits me perfectly as usual. I look at the big mirror in front of me and look at the royal blue lace belt around my waist. When Sally is done lacing up the corset I sit in a royal blue plush chair. As she is curling my hair my mother suddenly barges in.

"See I told you that the dress favors you."

"As it should."

" I'm glad you like it. You will be in coming to a meeting with me and your father to meet Prince Acyn Rivers of Cortova."

"Oh is that why I'm wearing such a elegant dress?"

"Yes, you have to look your best."

" Am I going to marry him to make peace?"

"Yes, but that's not the only reason. I think he is a good match for you."

"Well it's not like I have a choice so I'll see you downstairs when I'm done getting ready."

I watch as she slips out of the room. I noticed she was wearing a dress similar to mine but hers is all blue with a silver belt. I look at my perfectly curled. I have the same hair color as my father silver. Sally picks up a necklace from my collection. it's chain is silver and the gems are sapphire. The earrings match it. The gems remind me of my eyes sapphire. I prefer to wear lots of metal so if I need I can defend myself. I put on a braided silver bracelet and beautifully shined silver clips in my hair. I can fell every piece of metal I'm wearing it calms me down a little. I close my eyes and feel every piece my metal in my room to try to calm myself down. I take a deep breath open my eyes. I prefer not to wear makeup but I have to choice today. I'm wearing bold eyeliner, silver and blue eyeshadow, and rose perfume. I slip into my silver heels. My dress is long enough to cover them but not long enough I'll trip on it. Sally opens my door for me I walk out of my room heading for the throne room to meet my future husband Prince Acyn.

I open the door to the throne room and immediately lock eyes with Aycn. He has fiery orange eyes and dark chestnut hair. He is wearing the same black suit with red and orange accessories. They are both wearing a bunch of medals I bet they didn't earn. His father looks just like him execpt he has pitch black hair. His mother has the same eyes with chestnut hair. She is wearing a black orange and red tight fitted dress. They must all be flames. They can manipulate fire. My mother and father are both here already. My father wearing a silver suit with a bunch of useless medals. he his dark silver hair and eyes to match. My mother has sapphire eyes and dirty blonde hair. I head straight for my throne not sparing a second glace at anyone. I gracefully sit of my throne right next to my mother.

"Now that Amara's here we can start." My father announces.

"Yes, let's begin with the details. Amara will be married to my son Aycn. Since Aycn is my first born they will rule Cordova together. They will produce a heir preferably a boy." King Alex, Aycns father says. I glance at my mother and she nods.

"You two will get engaged tommorow. I hope you all have a nice stay here. one of our servants will show you your rooms. Aycn you will be staying in the room next to Amara's. " My father's flicks his hand to signal the servants to show them their room. We all leave and I head straight for my room to change into my Training suit. I get my suit on and take off all my makeup and some of my jewelry. I leave my bracelets rings and some of my hidden clips in my hair. I put my hair up in a ponytail so it doesn't get in the way. Sally is putting my dress away and I think I see her smile before she turns away.

Once I'm in the training room I decide to go for a run outside and workout. Once I finish stretching I walk into the track and start with a light jog. I can't believe my own parents are willing to just send me off to marry someone so they can end their stupid arguments. By the time I stop running I'm dripping with sweat. I grab a towel and wipe myself off noticing someone talking to the general who comes here alot to workout. I squint to see who it is. I immediately know it's Aycn wearing his very own training suit that is black and orange. I need to go over there to work out they are talking right next to the door to get in. I decide to try and walk in without them noticing me. I look forward when I walk past them I can feel their eyes on me. dammit they saw me.

I hope they don't try to talk to me. I walk over to the punching bag and wrap some tape around my hands. This is my normal routine. I focus on my workout and in the middle of it someone taps my shoulder. I jump and almost punching them in the face but then I see it's Aycn.

"Uh hey" I say a little spooked.

He smiles and says "Hey. I thought I should talk with you considering we are getting engaged tommorow."

I look around and see everyone staring at us. I grab his arm and lead him to the sparing field so we can talk without any prying eyes.

" Now what did you want to talk about." I say

" How are you feeling about all of it."

" It's not like I have a choice in what's going to happen." I get angry and turn my ring into a spike and throw it at the ground.

" I thought you were a magnetron. I know your angry so would you like to fight to let off some steam?"

" Bold of you to challenge me. I accept." I pick up my ring and put it back on. I can see he has some rings on. I can feel the heat coming off of him. I take the first move and fling a spike at him that hits his shoulder. He flinches and pulls it out.

" it's on." he says then sends a wall of fire towards me. I jump out of the way before it hits me. I create a chain and it wraps around his leg. Before he has a chance to reacted I put it and he falls but he is only down for a second immediately jumping back up. by the time we finish we are both tried and bleeding. We look at each other and laugh.

"We should go get healed." He says gesturing towards the skin healer. I glance over to were he is gesturing and see my mother talking to Aycns mother. My mother's looks up and locks eyes with me I can see the fury in her eyes. She hates it when I workout or fight she says it's not ladylike. I'm the princess I should act like it. Our mothers walk towards us and I want to run but I know I can't.

I glace over at Aycn to see if he is as scared as I am. He seems on edge as well. I can feel the heat radiating off of him. Seeming to notice me staring he looks at me and offers a weak smile before looking back at our mothers walking towards us. We wait for them to walk over to us and they do not look happy. My mother looks at both of us and says " Amara how many times do I have to tell you not to fight. Look at what you did to your face." She is always says this stuff I'm so done with her not allowing me to fight.

" My face is fine it's nothing a skin healer can't heal. It's not like I'm doing anything wrong. I don't want to sit back and watch my people die for some stupid war that you started with the North. I don't want to be a Queen that sits back and does nothing as her people die. I want to be a Queen that fights with them." I say looking her on the eyes.

she chuckles and says " You don't understand the war but you'll see that someday you were wrong. " She flicks her hand gesturing to the guards to put the bracelet on me for arguing with her. The bracelet will burn me whenever I try to use my abilities I haven't disobeyed her since I was little. I look at her with pleading eyes "no... no you can't please! Mom!" I back up turning to run away but there is a guard behind me that grabs me. I turn my rings into a spear and stab him in the back. He immediately let's go screaming in pain as I pull it out of his back ready for the next guard. All the guards have abilities but they aren't as strong as mine. I take the metal from my jewelry and create a rope and wrap it around the two others guards trying to put the bracelet on me without moving a muscle. My mother's sighs and says " now child you know what happens when you try to fight back."

I look over at Aycn he is watching helplessly knowing he can't Interfere. His mother is standing next to my mother I can see the hurt in her eyes. My mother calls for Chase he is a silencer the only one in our land. Silencers can get into your head and make you see things that aren't there. They can look through all your memories and thoughts. Chase hates me he is on my mother's side of everything he likes to see my pain. I shake my head and mumble " not agian." The last time this happened I was seven and I didn't want to go to any of my elegance classes. I look up and see him standing next to my mother's smiling at me. I block out everything in my head so he can't get in. He chuckles and says "Amara you know how this works you can try to resist all you want is won't work." I focus on blocking him out.

" I see you've gotten stronger since last time." he says taking a step towards me. I can feel him trying to get in and I try to block him but he breaks through. I yelp in pain. He starts going through all my memories as he does I remember them vividly. I fall to my knees when is finds the one memory I locked away a long time ago. I was friends with a poor girl I would bring her food and play games with her and when the war started my mother found out what I was doing and she sent the girl to war knowing she would die. I see her face and I feel tears on my checks. I've been crying. I hear his booming voice in my head " She died because of you. It was your fault." I shake my head and scream " It wasn't my fault." He replays the day she was shoved onto a bus to go to the war the fear in her eyes. " Stop!" I yell at him. then everything goes dark and the last thing I hear is Acyn screaming my name. "Amara!"
