Running through the forest with my best friend Jasper was my favorite thing to do, we are both 5 years old, too young to shift yet, both we both still love to run in our human forms anyway. Jasper was the son of the Alpha of the Blood Rain Pack and I'm Raina, the Gamma's daughter. Jasper and I are really close since our parents work together.

Jasper and I were inseparable until the events that happened on June 6th, that's a date that I will never forget. That's the day I lost my mom, lost Jasper, lost the packs friendliness, and lost my dad's love.

June 6th

Jasper and I were out playing tag with the beta son, Marcus, when Jonathan, the Alphas brother, said that my mother wanted to see me. If course I went. The thing I didn't know was that everything was about to change for the worse.

"She's waiting for you at the Northern border. She said she wanted to show you something," Jonathan whispered in my ear so that I was the only one that heard.

He lead me to the North border and as soon as I got there I saw her. My mother's lifeless body lying on the ground. I ran to her as fast as I could, she was gone, but she can't leave me.

"Mom, Mom!" I yelled louder each time. "Wake up it's me, it's your daughter, come on, wake up!!!"

"Raina. what did you do?" Jonathan asked with a smile on his face.

I looked up at him confused. Why is he just standing there and why is he smiling? Then he did something I never thought he would do.

"Guards, someone, help, Rainas killed the Gammas wife. Someone please help." Jonatha. started yelling.

"What are you doing?" I yelled with tears streaming down my face. "You know I didn't do this."

Before he could say another word the guards showed and started to yank me away from my mother's body, while I was kicking and screaming to be let go.

I was settled in the dungeon cells for hours before I saw my dad.

"She loved you Raina, why? Why would you do such a dreadful thing?" My father yelled with tears streaming down his face. "The alphas been convinced that there is no evidence suggesting you did it, but everyone knows you did and once we reach home you're going to understand your mistake."

For the first time in my life I was scared of my father.

*10 years later*

"Wake up trash," I was suddenly soaked and so was my bed. "That will teach you to listen to me when I speak, won't it?"

I bet you're wondering who might that be? Well let me tell you, that was Jasper, that's right my ex-best friend.

He's 16 now and I turn 16 tomorrow, which means I'll find shift and be able to find my mate and get away from this dreadful place. I've basically been a slave since I was 5 and I was done.

"Well are you going to get up and make breakfast for everyone b*tch!" Jasper said in a more than demanding voice.

Yup, that's the new and not even slightly improved Jasper. I roll my eyes at myself and start the journey back into my h*ll.

It takes me about an hour before the food is ready for everyone and I am able to start my chores. As soon as it strikes midnight I will be able to get out of this dreadful place....hopefully. I wonder who my mate will be? Will he even want me as his mate. The assumed killer of her own mother. Who could even kill anyone, especially their own parents?

It is about two in the afternoon before I am finished with my chores and go back to the basement where my room is. Apparently they didnt want trash in the nice guest bedrooms, so yay me, I get the dusty basement. I still hate it even if I have adapted to the conditions.

At the same time, I don't mind being in the basement because it's a very secluded place away from the pack.

Just a few more hours, and I'll be free, I thought as I sat on my bed staring at the ceiling. I glanced over at my clock and it read 6:30 PM. I guess I should get up and start on dinner.

I made my way back up the stairs and into the kitchen. Before I could do anything, I was slammed into the wall by an extremely angry looking Jasper. He stared at me intently, but there was no way I was going to let him ruin my day.

"Is there something I could help you with?" I asked forcing myself to sound polite.

"Actually there is, the Stone Moon Pack Beta is coming to discuss important information with my father and I and I need to to make everything spotless and then stay in the basement until they leave. We don't need them to see any trash, including you." Jasper growl at me and then let me go.

"They will be here within the hour, so hurry up." He continued as he walked down the hallway with a smirk on his face.

Normally that would ruin the rest of my day, but I'm still excited to see or well meet my mate.

It didn't take me long to finish cleaning up the house. I always made sure it was spotless anyway so there was less if a reason for anyone to come yell at me.

As I was walking down the stairs, I heard the front door open and unfamiliar voices speak along with the alphas and Jaspers. That made me walk faster towards my room. I learned a long time ago to stay out of the way of Jasper and his company, especially if it's people from other packs with higher statuses.

Once I was in my room, the exhaustion from the day hit me and once I hit the bed I passed out.

I was suddenly awoken by an aggressive yank of my blankets off of me. 'How long was I asleep?' I thought to myself. Then I looked up to a look from Jasper that that said ' I really wish you were dead.'

"You, why would the moon goddess do such a cruel thing too me, I'm a future alpha and you're....you're just trash." Jasper spat, but I had no idea what he was talking about until I finally woke up enough and took in the smell of the woods and it smelled like heaven.

That's when I put the pieces together. He was my mate. He was supposed to be my happily ever after, but even when he found out that we were destined to be together he looked at me with such disgust.

"This is not happening" I whispered to make self.

"F.uck yes it's not happening, I can't walk around being mated to an ugly piece of garbage. I mean look at you you're nothing and I'm the future alpha." He spoke harshly towards me and then started pacing.

"No one can find out, and to make sure, I am banishing you from pack lands. Starting now you are rogue and will be killed on sight." She said glaring at me.

I was in shock. He was banishing me from the pack. What says you're more unwanted than that? I couldn't even get over my shock before Jasper ripped me off my bed with a tight grasp on my wrist.

He led me up the stairs and into the woods. I was still in shock so I had no idea what was going on.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked in a very hushed voice.

"I'm getting rid of my problem and in case you didn't know, you are my problem, but not for long." He snarled and dragged me some more.

He kept on going until we were near the Northern border line. Once we got in the edge, Jasper threw me on the ground.

"We came out here to talk and out of no where rogues showed up and they killed you. That'll be the story. Do you like it? How no one will even care enough to find out the truth?"

This is it, he was going to kill me, my mate, my happily ever after, was going to end my life because I was his fated mate.

It happened just like that, I was on the ground and he was kicking, punching, and clawing at me. I couldn't hold the tears in anymore, no matter how much the alpha would beat me back at the pack house, it was never worse or as bad as this and it was that moment that I realized that this was the end for me.

It felt like hours before he finally stopped the abuse. I couldn't see anything anymore because my eyes were swollen shut and I couldn't move, so I just laid there and accepted my fate before giving into the darkness.
