Elites. They are what I admired when I was young and what I dreamed of being and even now, I still want to become one but it's hopeless.

They're using their superpowers or what we call 'magia' to defend the innocents against evils. They protect us from the 'crimsons' who threatens our daily life.

Crimsons are the people who are committing crimes and they're using their magia in evil works and they are involved in illegal activities.

In order to deal with the explosive increase in crimes and accidents, people with courage stood up to take action, they're the elites.

It all started when I was going home from school then I encountered a crimson. I was terrified and froze on the ground but suddenly, I heard a voice from my back saying that 'don't worry, i got you!".

I saw how he fought the crimson. He amazingly controlled his superpowers. It only took few seconds for him to defeat the crimson.

That's when I decided to become an amazing elite like him one day. I also want to defend those people who had no power to defend themselves.

Ever since that day, I started to study about the abilities and powers of the elites I watched everyday in the news and starts taking notes about their magias.

Everytime I'm telling my Mom about my dream to become an elite, she will just stay quiet and immediately change the topic. I can't think of any reason why. Did something happened?

But, sadly, no matter what I do, I know the fact that I can't study there. Even if Mom will support me, It's hopeless.I don't think I can reach that dream of mine.

Lunaris Academia.

I looked at the castle-like school located at the center of the whole country of Hargrove with twelve cities around it. It is surrounded with trees and rivers. The only think I can see is its roof because of the high walls surrounding it.

I smiled bitterly. Almost everyone in this country has an amazing magia, but not everyone can control it. You will need to enter the Academia to have a knowledge about your magia ang how to control it.

But! To enter and study there, you will be needing so much money.

The school is for the rich people, to those who has a luxurious life, and to those who have a money. No matter what I do and how much I work hard, I don't think I can afford it.

Mom and Esther are the only one I have. Even if we consolidate our money that we earn in 5 years, we knew we can't still afford it.

The uniform there is half of what we pay at home for  month and what I pay at school.

"Sister!" I looked at Esther at the bottom of the hill where I am sitting. "Mom's looking for you!"

"Okay!" I stand up and wiped the dirt on my butt.

I looked at the Academia again. I sighed before looking away and began to walk.

"Bye, Mom!" I shouted while running and with an egg sandwich on my mouth. Dang! I'm already late!

"Take care, Esmee!" She shouted back but she wasn't looking at me, she's looking at our costumer in front her. We have a small carinderia where we are taking our daily allowance. My mom is a good cook so we decided to open one.

I'm eating my egg sandwich while running. I didn't woke up early so I don't have time to eat anymore. I don't really eat much every morning because I don't have an appetite.

I looked at my watch and I suddenly cursed because no matter what I do, I will still be late. I can't even spot any tricycle around our street.

I stopped running when I realized that when i get there, Ms. Carol's angry face will be the first one I will see. She will be scolding me again! There are 5 minutes before our class starts but I need 10 minutes before I get there even if I run.

I started running again and when I was about to turn on my way, I bumped into something hard－no, someone.

I touched my shoulder because it hurts and looked at him. His body is like a steel. He is wearing a face mask and shades that's why I can't see his face. He has a body od a bodybuilder.

"I'm so sorry," I apologized. I was about to run again because I am so scared right now when he spoke that made me stop and made my heart beats even faster.

"Be careful next time,"  his cold baritone voice sent shivers of dread down my spine. I looked at where he was but he's not there anymore. I looked around but I can't see him anymore.

Is it his magia?

I removed that thought and run even faster even if I can't move my feet anymore because of fear.

What if he's a crimson? Shit!

The thought made me run even faster that beforw. I meed to be careful and beware of my surrounding. I might bumped into someone again and worse, it's a crimson. I can't even see any elites around.

I arrived at school. I started catching my breath and wiping my sweat because of running. I knelt down because my knees already gave up.

"MS. ESMEE HART!" Her voice thundered and even the people around us heard it. Oh gosh!

"Good morning, Ma'am!" I looked at her with a a smile. I'm even scratching my head because of fear.

"There is no good in the morning!" She's looking at me and suddenly she sighed.

"This is your fourth late this week!" I wanted to laugh but I can't because she might punish me again like last time where she made me clean the whole basketball court.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am, I helped my mom last night that's why I slept late." I explained and even puppy eyed but she just frown because of… disgust? What? On my beautiful face?

"Tsk. By the way, go to the Principal's office because Mrs. Elizabeth is calling you."

My eyes widened."M-Ma'am… you're joking, right? Why? Is this some kind of punishment again? Don't tell me it's because I'm always late, Ma'am?!"

"I don't know, Esmee. Maybe or maybe you did something wrong again? Bye." Then she left just like that.

My lips parted. What the?

I decided to go there. It's not like it's my first time to enter the principal's office but it feels weird.

Just not about expulsion. What? Why would I even think about that?! No! No way!

I shaked my head to remove the thought and walked even faster so that I can still catch up on our first period subject.

After minutes of walking, I'm already on the Principal's Office. My heart starts beating so fast again. Why do I feel like something is about to happen? I became even more nervous.

I breathed heavily many time before gathering all my strength to knock. I was about to knock when someone opened it first. A guy on my age was the one who opened it.

He's tall, has a porcelain skin, messy hair, pointed nose and redish lip--what? What the hell? What am I saying?

I stepped backward. I felt scared for some reason when our eyes suddenly met. His eyes were too intense for my comfort. I looked away because I feel like I am a kitten who is in front of a lion. He is too much to handle. Who the hell is he?

"Step aside." His cold baritone voice sent shivers down to my spine that made me remembered about the guy earlier. It wasn't him but he kind of resembles him to me. I immediately step aside then he left.

I froze on mh track when Mrs. Eli spoke.

"Come in, Ms Hart." I swallowed hard before entering the room while trembling because of nervousness. I don't really feel good about this. I mean, why does she have to call me here? If it's because of my punishment because of me being always late, it's fine but I can't think of anything else. And also, she can just tell Ms. Carol about my punishment.

"G-Good morning, M-Mrs. Elizabeth," I greeted while looking at my foot because I don't think I can see her eye to eye. I already saw her once when I escorted Ms. Carol here to carry her other things. She is intimidating that I don't want to be around her.

"Please, sit." She commanded. I can't see her but I can recognize the terror in her voice. I sat down at the chair in front of her table. I gathered all of my strength to look at her. She's already old but I can still see the beauty on her face.

"Did Carol already told you about your expulsion?" My lips parted in shock. W-What? Why?

"What do you mean, Mrs. Eli? Please, don't do this? I will do everything but not this, Ma'am. I can promise that I won't be late anymore." I said with my teary eyes. Goodness! Please, no! Mrs. Eli smiled but there is something with it that I can't explain.

"Ms. Hart, you will be expelled from this school." She said

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed
