A three tailed wolf walked towards Kona who was shivering in Fear,

Kona tried running but he's legs were weak and tired ...the beast came closer And closer and with each step Kona cursed himself under his breathe for being weak.

This was always the case with Kona,each mission he went on he always came back heavily bruised and wounded, the doctors at the hospital had gotten tired of seeing his face....Kona was a hunter and a student of HITJ [Hunter Institute Of Japan]Hunter's weren't like regular people they put there lives at risk everyday to travel into portals which lead to other world's to fight against beasts of different kinds,If hunters failed to go into portals and fight the beasts would come out of the portal and wreck havoc on the world , Kona's case was different however he was almost as weak as any regular human many even wondered how he got into HITJ

Kona had a lot of things on his mind as the Beast moved closer and closer

"What about mum, how would she deal with the news of my death"

"I didn't even get to fulfill my dream or see Dad"

All these Taught's ran through his mind

"No....This ...This can't be how it ends "

Kona drew courage out of nowhere and managed to stand ,he put his hands into his back pocket and brought out a kunai which he immediately pointed towards the wolf ,the three tailed wolf was four times the size of a regular wolf , The wolf Jumped towards Kona who Immediately closed his eyes in fear waiting for the impact, instead he heard a huge thud ...Konna opened his eyes slowly to see the wolf tied up in chains

"You would have died you idiot!"

Came a voice from the shadows which Kona knew to well it was his team mate Hiroshi

"I had it Under Control ...." replied Kona in a shaky voice as he collapsed on the floor

"You call that under control ?" Replied Hiroshi looking agitated

"You look Hurt Kona" replied a female voice who walked out of the shadows to reveal her beautiful face

"I'm Fine kiyomi..." replied Kona as he tried to cover his wounds

Kiyomi walked towards Kona and placed her hands on his arm were he was bleeding

"Sorry" replied kiyomi with a soft voice

"What...sorry for what !...Kona that was an F-Rank Beast and you couldn't defeat it ..you might as well quit being a hunter Kona !" said Hiroshi

"Quit ?..Not Now ...Not Never Until I become the Greatest" Replied Kona in a Serious tone

Hiroshi laughed like someone who had gone insane he couldn't control himself....What Kona said Made Him Laugh So Hard

"you ?...greatest?...this isn't some video game or anime or movie .... people like you don't just become strong overnight "

"Your being mean again Hiroshi.."replied kiyomi in a calm tone

"It's not being mean or harsh it's reality ...ever since we became a team and started going on missions as a team all kona has done is being a pain in the *** and he thinks he can become the greatest that's delusional"

"That's enough Hiroshi ....if your going to insult me wait till we're out of this Portal ...the mission isn't done yet"

"I guess your right the mission isn't done ....I'd say we should split up and try to cover more ground but Kona would die and I don't wanna have to explain to Captain Takumi that Kona died when I was in charge...so let's go north and see what we can find " Hiroshi said as the chains holding the dead wolf Disappeared

Kona managed to stand up once again as kiyomi helped him up.

It began getting late and Hiroshi Got Increasingly Irritated

"aaaagh....I'm sick of this place !I don't wanna camp in this place"

"We have no choice" replied Kona in a sarcastic tone

"What...why are you even talking this is all your fault if we didn't have to save your butt we wouldn't be in this situation" Hiroshi said screaming like he was insane

"Shut Up...your Just looking for who to blame...The portal is open you can walk out without completing the mission"

"Kona...I swear if you talk one more time I'm gonna kill you right here and right now"

"Your bluffing" replied Kona with a smirk

Hiroshi extended his arm and a long chain appeared ...He held the chain with his second arm and prepared to charge towards Kona ...Kona Brought out his Kunai and got ready for the worst

"No matter how strong you get...I'll never be scared of you Hiroshi"

"Then I'll make you fear me by force"

Hiroshi charged towards Kona With his chain when suddenly both of them were blasted to different positions by Water

"Can you two stop acting like kids !" said kiyomi angrily

"B..But He Started it" Shouted Kona and Hiroshi simultaneously

"And I'm ending it...that's enough,Jeez of all the people to get stuck with.. I get you two"

Kiyomi was about to move forward When another wolf With three tails Jumped kut Of nowhere

Kiyomi was completely caught off guard and she fell down unable to move

"Kiyomi !" Kona screamed frightfully

The wolf sneered wickedly at kiyomi...the wolf moved to Pierce his long nails into kiyomi's neck when a kunai hit the eye of the wolf...the wolf growled in pain and Immediately Spotted Kona as the one who threw the Kunai at him ..Kona immediately took off and the wolf ran after him at high speed

"Sometimes I don't understand that kid "said Hiroshi as he helped kiyomi up

"What do you mean ...was he supposed to let me die"

"He lets emotions get in the way of his thinking...it's stupid ...he didn't even let us come up with a plan"

"There's nothing wrong with what he did ....there was no time,now come on there's no time for is either we have to save him...after him"

Kiyomi and Hiroshi immediately ran towards the direction Kona took to save him before he becomes food for the wild wolf

Kona entered a dark cave in order to hide from the wolf

"Its too dark in here....this isn't an ordinary cave I could get ambushed" Kona thought to himself

Kona was about to step out of the cave when he sensed something behind him ...Kona turned slowly to see a huge Beastly looking Scorpion

"Oh boy...I've really done it this time"Kona said to himself

The scorpion immediately Picked Kona up like he was a toy and threw him towards the end of the cave ..Kona hit the wall of the cave heavily and was unable to move after impact

"I taught this was an F-Rank Portal...This Scorpion has to be at least D-Rank...Damn"

The Scorpion Moved speedily towards Kona and Readied itself to Sting Kona .....

"Somebody....Heeeeeelppppp"Kona Screamed and Luckily Kiyomi and Hiroshi Heard His Scream For Help

Kiyomi immediately Stretched Her Hands towards the Scorpion and Spikes made of water formed around her and she launched them towards the Scorpion...three of the spikes pierced the heart of the scorpion and it immediately died

"That was close are you okay ?"kiyomi asked

"....yeah ..yeah"Kona replied slowly

"Sometimes I forget how powerful kiyomi really is...if she wasn't so bad at controlling her energy I bet she'd be at least C-Rank and she wouldn't be stuck with Kona as a teammate" Hiroshi thought to himself

Kona Hiroshi And Kiyomi walked out of the cave and moments later it was completely dark ....Hiroshi Opened his Back pack and brought out a Torch ...

"This won't last long so we better find the boss ...defeat it and get the hell out if here" said Hiroshi

"Nah...I say we camp here ...were all tired ...Hiroshi...And what are the odds we will find the boss we've been in here the whole day" replied Kona

"Why do you always have to counter my orders ...Whose the leader of this mission...?ME...So whatever I say goes"

"You don't have to cry about it "Replied Kona sarcastically

Hiroshi wanted to attack Kona but he controlled himself ...they kept wandering inside the portal until they saw a weird looking tunnel

"I can sense a lot of energy coming out of the tunnel...this must be it" said Hiroshi

"Your right...I can feel it...the energy is too much...it's F-Rank right...the energy shouldn't be this high" replied kiyomi

"The higher the rank the better ...I want to be Promoted so here I come... whatever is in that tunnel"

"Wai-"

Before Kiyomi could finish her statement Hiroshi charged into the tunnel

"Imagine being that stupid ....he wants to die doesn't he" Kona Said While nodding his head in pity

"Looks like I'm going in ...Kona you should stay here ...your already injured and it's not like you would be of much help "

"What....wa-"

Kiyomi walked into the tunnel before Kona finished his statement

"I ...I ...I can fight too...I hate you looking at me like some weak, pathetic looser" Kona whispered to himself

Hiroshi Kept Running until he was face to face with a Huge Bear the Bear immediately smashed Hiroshi into the ground

"What...it's stronger than I taught.....this has to be C-Rank inside an F-Rank portal ...how is that even possible ?" Hiroshi Taught to himself

Hiroshi managed to stand ...a long chain Appeared around him...and he held it firmly .... Hiroshi Used The Chain to flog the Beast but the chain scattered into a thousand pieces

"What !?....My chains have never cut in combat before"

The bear kicked Hiroshi to the top of the tunnel .. Hiroshi hit the top and fell back to the Ground ...Hiroshi Could Barely Stand and was bleeding badly

"I'm weak as well...is there really a difference between I and Kona apart from the fact that I can use Nik and he can't ?"

Hiroshi Closed his eyes as those words came out of his mouth,The Beer walked towards Hiroshi who had passed out ...he was about devouring him when kiyomi entered and immediately sent the Bear flying towards the wall of the tunnel with a huge Water Blast

"This ...is what you get for attacking a boss without a plan "Kiyomi said while staring at Hiroshi

The Bear Roared at Kiyomi and A Huge Wave Hit Kiyomi and Sent her flying to the wall of the tunnel

"It can emit sound waves from it's mouth...This has to be C-Rank"Kiyomi said as she managed to Stand

Kiyomi was about to send another water blast towards the Bear but She couldn't see it again...She sensed something behind her...She turned slowly and much to her horror the bear was behind her...The bear gave her a thumping punch which sent her crashing into the ground...she also passed Out ...Kona who was watching from the shadows against the orders of Kiyomi stepped out

"Do whatever you wish with Hiroshi but I won't let you hurt Kiyomi anymore !!!" Screamed Kona as he charged towards the Bear with his Kunai, The bear held Kona And Smashed him into the Ground ..

"I'm sorry Kiyomi ...I failed yo-"

Kona was about passing out when suddenly the bear flew and hit the tunnel wall ...the tunnel vibrated from the impact, Kona Managed to Turn around and spotted there Sensei...Sensei Takumi

"Pathetic... struggling against a D-Rank Bear...you kids amuse me "Said Takumi

The bear growled and charged towards Takumi, Takumi's Right hand glowed blue

"Your not at my level"

Takumi punched the head of the bear straight out of it's body.

Kona Opened His Eyes slowly To See a Place he knew too well, the hospital

"How'd I get here ?...what happened" Kona thought to himself

Kona managed to turn, he was still in pain ..he immediately spotted Hiroshi who was awake staring at the ceiling

"Hey ...Hiroshi "

"Oh...your awake" replied Hiroshi

"Uhm...what happened ?"

"I woke up seconds ago how do you expect me to know"

"How'd you expect me to know.you woke up seconds ago ?"Said Kona angrily

"Ugh...why did they have to keep me in the same room with a looser"

Kona didn't reply he faced the ceiling and tried to recall what happened

"Oh...I remember now.. Captain Taku-......Kiyomi.... where's Kiyomi" Kona said shouting

Captain Takumi walked into the warden were Kona and Hiroshi Laid down still quite unable to move

"Oh...your awake now...that's great...now I can kill you both"said Takumi

"Huh ?"replied Kona and Hiroshi Who were both Confused

"I'm just kidding...I'm just really disappointed in you three...you were struggling against a D-Rank Bear before I came to your rescue "

"It's Hiroshi's Fault" Replied Kona quickly before Hiroshi could say a word

"How's it my fault Idiot!...besides I'm an E-Rank , Kiyomi's an E-Rank and Kona is An F-Rank how'd you expect us to take down a D-Rank Beast ?" replied Hiroshi angrily"

"You seen that's the problem ...you three allow your ranks define who you are ...when I was F-Rank I was taking on C-Ranks and winning ...Because I didn't let my Rank define who I am or make me feel I couldn't do what other high Ranking Hunter's were doing" said Takumi

Hiroshi and Kona Stared at the ceiling for a while and pondered on what Sensei Takumi said

"How's Kiyomi" said Kona

"Oh She's Fine her dad came to pick her up"

"Her Dad...She was injured shouldn't she have stayed longer for proper treatment" Replied Kona

"Kiyomi isn't like you two ,She's A Water Nik User ...Water Nik Users Heal faster than Others and they can also heal others too ...but she can't use that Ability yet-"

"You saved us ?...Why ? And how'd you know we were in danger "asked Hiroshi

"Well you guys were in there too long so I taught why not check it out?..."replied Takumi

"That was some nice timing "said Kona happily

"I know...When you all get out of here I'm gonna make sure you have no missions for a while so you can go train..I'll train you Hiroshi because you also lack leadership qualities !"

"What ??? I don-"

Before Hiroshi could finish his statement Takumi cut off his statement

"And Because of your special condition Kona I know the perfect person to train you ..."

[1 Week Later]

Kona and Hiroshi Worked a little on there shaky Friendship while they were at the hospital and finally after one week they were discharged

"I never want to go there again" Screamed Hiroshi immediately they got outside of the hospital

"I've been here so many times...you get used to it ..."replied Kona in a low tone

Captain Takumi walked out from a corner of the Hospital

"Oh I see..you've been discharged ...Well there's no need to go to the base your training will begin today !"

"Whatttttttt were tired" replied Kona and Hiroshi

"Tired of What....you've been in the hospital doing nothing for a week...get in the car"Said Takumi

Hiroshi and Kona got into the car along with Captain Takumi

"We're are we going "Kona said immediately they got on the Road

"Well I'm training Hiroshi at the base so that's okay but you...you'll be training with my old friend who stays in a different base that's where we're going"

"What...!...I've not even packed"

"I packed your things already"

"Sensei Takumi is really taking this seriously "Kona thought to himself

They drove for a while before stopping in front of a Huge Building ..One Of the Biggest in Japan, At the top was boldly Written HITJ Central

"Welcome to the Hunter institute Of Japan Central"Said Takumi Smiling Enthusiastically

"It's way bigger than ours" said Hiroshi

Hiroshi Kona and Takumi Moved to the third floor were a man wearing a black suit was seated on a chair facing the window backing them

"Beniiiii..." Shouted Takumi

"Takiiii...." Replied The man

Hiroshi And Kona Watched In Shock as the two men exchanged pleasantries

"This is my old Friend from way back when I was 15 ...we were on the same team ...His name is Beni He is An S-Rank Hunter"

"S..S...S...S-Rank ??!!" Replied Kona and Hiroshi

"Yep...Come on Hiroshi we can't stay long we have to go"

"Why does Kona Get The S-Rank Hunter to teach him ?" Hiroshi Whispered to himself

Hiroshi and Takumi left after a while ...leaving only Kona and Beni, it felt awkward for Kona he was in the presence of an actual S-Rank Hunter He was Stunned and he just kept mumbling rubbish

"So Kona ... Right ?...I'll show you around training begins tonight" Said Beni with a smirk

later at night Kona Waited for Beni to call him for there training to commence it was already past ten o'clock, he eventually slept off ...at exactly two o'clock Beni walked in and woke up Kona

"What in the hell" said Kona

"It's time for your training to begin come on" replied beni

"But...it's past two.." said Kona

Kona followed beni to an open field which was very cold

"You are going to fight me...you win by Killing the opponent" Said Beni

"What!!!!!" replied Kona
