Yuri came running towards her boyfriend while waving enthusiastically. They have been friends since elementary school and started dating during their final year in highschool. It's been two years since then and everything has been okay(ish) with them.

Yeah that's right. What are you doing here? I remember you said before you were relocating to China immediately after graduation. What happened?
Mayu almost glared but managed to cover her annoyance with a smiled.

I came back from China last month.
That's a lie. She actually came back a year ago.

Actually I was an idol in training there. The company I'm signed to just transferred me back to our Tokyo branch for further training.
Another lie. She was actually kicked out the company in China because she was nothing but a pretty face with zero talent who took competition a bit too far.
When things didn't work out for her anymore in China, she couldn't cope with the shame and struggling anymore so she came back to Japan to start over.
She is now working at a hostess bar at night while attending one audition after the other and getting little roles in television game shows and grocery shop ads.

I'm very busy all the time because I might be debuting anytime soon, so I don't always get the chance to meet up with old friends.
Yuri
I'm actually in the entertainment industry too. We might come across each other someday so make sure to support me then.

Oh that's right you got scouted by a modeling agency before we graduated, I almost forgot.
She had never forgotten their last school sports festival when Yuri got scouted. She was so jealous and angry that she pretended to have an injury while running so she could stay at the school clinic and cry.
Yuri's popularity jumped so high after she got scouted that Mayu had to announce to her friends which later spread the news of her going to China after graduation. That was the only way she could stay as the most popular girl in school.

Actually its going pretty well. I've been modeling for the same agency that scouted me and few others that they work with. Anyway my contract will be ending this year and I don't think I wanna continue modeling full time. I plan on starting my own fitness club.

They waved at each other and she left them.
Kashie was panting heavily. Yuri had forced him to race her to her apartment building.

Yuri went on for more than a minute about how she had gotten him a gym membership and how she made notes of healthy meals he should be eating.

Tears welled up in Yuri's eyes as she looked up at Kashie with wide eye.
She tried to put her mind around what he had just said. They argued quite often and a lot of it was about him not being fit or living healthy, but never had he asked for them to breakup.
Yuri
K-Kashie, I-I know your upset, b-but you shouldn't say things you don't mean.

Yuri just stood there and watched him leave while tears poured down her eyes like waterfalls.
She wanted to run after him and stop him but her body couldn't even move an inch. She wished to call out to him but her voice only came out as sobs. And so she just stood there crying her eyes out and blaming herself for everything.
Kashie had reached his house where he lived with his parents. He was now laying on his bed.
He started feeling guilty but then sudden thought to himself, if he was with Mayu, she wouldn't try to change him.
He was sure she was kind and wasn't the type who care about physical appearances. She always smiled at him and she had a calm temperament and she was never too loud.
Kashie
But Yuri is kinda right. Even if I wanna be with Mayu-chan, she's an idol and won't be able to be with someone that looks like me.
Kashie
I have to look worthy enough for my Mayu-chan.
And so Kashie spent the whole night talking to himself and fantasizing about his Mayu-chan and how he could become worthy of her.
Kashie had started dieting and exercising regularly. It wasn't easy and it wasn't health either because he sometimes starved himself, but his dream of being worthy of Mayu made him push harder and his hard work paid off. He was starting to look fit and he was even dressing better.
For five weeks after their breakup, Yuri had called him several times everyday to try and change his mind. When that did not work for her, she called his parents and friends to try to convince him however even they couldn't. She later started trying to meet him at his house, college and wherever she thought he'd be at, but instead he avoided her and even ignored her calls . At last she got the message and gave up.

Tears poured down his eyes as his whole fantasy world came crumbling down. He would never have believed if someone told him before that Mayu could act and talk that way. His friends came to talked to him but he told them he wanted to be alone so they left without him.
As he walked down the road, he thought about how he spent nights fantasizing about the perfect innocent Mayu. He also wondered why he changed so much for her when he could have just changed for Yuri.
For the past three months, he had done everything he hated Yuri nagging him about and even more, but he never complained once.
He realized that Yuri meant well for him and would never want to hurt him. That broke his heart even more.
Kashie being lost in thought, staggered across the pedestrian crossing when the light was still red and what came next was the loud sound of cars screeching and crashing followed by people's screams and sirens.
Yuri came to the columbarium where Kashie's remains was kept. When she got to his niche, she put flowers for him.

A lot has happened to me lately. I started my fitness club but I also extended my contract with the agency. I realized I could do it all.

She took his arm and smiled reassuringly. An attendant was already waiting for them by the corner as they walked in.

Hitori knew this relationship was gonna be trouble but he wasn't sure how to let her down gently, so he just went on with it.
Almost one month and nearly 50 dates later
Hitori had spent every single day for the past month going on dates of different themes in different places and countries as well as escorting Monna to different parties.
It was fun at first and he enjoyed going to places he had never been to before, however things started getting different. She'd call him to come on dates late at night when he was tired and even when he tried to say no she's throw tantrums until he said yes. She even came to his school in a helicopter and sent her bodyguards to kidnap him from his class. Even his classmates were starting to get scared of staying too close to him.
He had no other choice but to think of a way to end it before he dies from stress.

When he got close to the school gate he saw the black car he had eventually gotten used to seeing almost everyday, parked close by.
At first he was scared that Monna's bodyguards were here to beat him up for making her cry.
