In a kingdom, far from where she was used to. She woke up and the first thing she saw was the scattered table ware across the floor along with the dirt and dust that soil the food.

She looked around and assessed her surrounding out of hobbit, cause as a soldier she needed to be alert and perspective as much as possible.

"Wa..it! I'm alive?" She said shocked as she looked over her body frantically

As she felt no pain, felt no numbness and saw no blood.

She's lieutenant Kim Li Ching under General Li Ching's special ranger platoon. Who got caught in a crossfire with barrage of gun shots piercing through her skin as she died in a honorable way laying her life to save 13 human trafficked children.

'With that injury there's only death that awaits me, but aside that I don't have any wounds nor felt any pain I'm currently laying at a dusty floor waring a traditional dirty Chinese outfit.' She thought as she stood up dusting herself as she scan the place

"Where am I?" She asked no one in particular as she roam the room but when she reach the dusty old bed inside the room she suddenly felt nauseous, her head felt heavy as her body seemed to shiver from the slightest wind from the window.

"What's happening!" She said frantically figuring out what just happened to her body but suddenly she passed out on the bed as the dust on it scattered with the wind.

"It's too dark here...hey! I know someone is there! I can feel your presence! Come out and give me an explanation!"

I kept repeating that over and over again I know that someone is watching my every move from a far.

I can feel it's presence but I only saw darkness from where I am.,

"Help...!" Someone yelled it's came from all four direction

"Where are you?" I asked still at lost in this darkness

"Your highness I'm begging you I'm innocent... please help me!" I heard once more but there's no one responding to her calls.

And Your highness? What is this ancient civilization where kings and queens governed?

As a soldier, I may not be updated with the recent movie released

but really? Asking help and begging your innocent yourself to the judge in the court will end you up in Prison.

Believe it or not, they only seek logic and evidence. And if you can't present that properly then your a total goner.

A little while later after that call I hear a chilling voice that gave me goosebumps all over. As the next voice that said "Drag her to the cold palace and let her reflect from her mistake and pray to all the previous emperor's this lifetime"  it was said in a really angered and cold tone

as I can imagine that person gritting his/her teeth to suppress from hurting the one who's calling for help

Then suddenly I saw a small white dot blinking like an SOS signal in a pitch Black Forest

And with that I didn't hesitate to run towards the light as it gradually grew brighter till it engulfed me that made me stop running as I shielded my eyes with my arm

As I closed my eyes cause of the brightness I suddenly saw some clips of what happened to this girl

She was caged, bullied, humiliated and when she though she can finally escape her step mother's claws by marrying the emperor as his consort in accordance to the edict of the previous emperor to honor her fathers hard work at keeping the kingdom safe all these years ..,

but with only a month passed when she was married she was constantly been framed by the emperors concubine.

While the emperor did everything to punish her as he thought that this girl is. Spy that was sent by her father to keep an eye on him.

Then she ended up in the cold palace as her only loyal maid would bring her  scarps of food stolen from the kitchen which she greatly appreciate it.

But one day the servant of the highest concubine gave this girl a full meal with meat and desserts that became her last supper as the put poisoned on everything in that tray that killed the girl in a heartbeat.,

She's a little bit of a fool to accept something from the one who kept framing her up.

but I won't blame her as this little girl is this a child in the age of fifteen that's been loved and cherished by her father and elder brother. Who's at the boarder right now. She's still innocent even though she's experiencing the cruelty of this world she kept her heart as pure as it could be for a child in her age.

She's admirable and honorably compassionate. She have this kindness that can't compare to anyone  except for her deceased mother.

She road the streets and help the weak to the best of her abilities..

But the rumors about her outside where the opposite from what she really is, as No one know the face of the fist miss born and rumored to be the favored daughter of the Southern Marques Chen which is the General Li Chen

And with that someone took it as their advantage and spread the rumors that this girl is a selfish favored brat that always make a mess inside the household, making it hard for the servants and her family

Which a total lie that they fabricated that if repeated by different perspective that can be considered believable.,

'Hyst.. I'm sorry girl for what you have suffered but even we have the same name I can't avenge you on the spot.

yes what they did to you is wrong and it's rather enough reason for this soldier to take action, but with my limited knowledge of the rules here. I might just put myself in my own grave. '

I thought as I was engulfed by the darkness once more

I opened my eyes as the sun rays hit my face.

Weird I haven't have a nice dream for a while and what I've dreamed last night was this worlds Kim Li Ching's memories.

I stood up as I inspect the room I'm in and made me sweat dropped

"......."

I didn't expect it like this last night but really has no one ever cleaned this place?

it was in this total dirty state full of spider webs, thick layer of dusts messed up furnitures and wholes on the roof

"Achoo!"

"Argh...It already irritated my nose. Might was well search for some cleaning materials"

I decided to go outside and check if there's a well here or some shed that store the materials I needed to clean this place up

But as I walk around I saw a pond which is full of life despite the state the whole place in

"Interesting"

I thought smiling as I found a temporary ticket eating three times a day

I walk further looking for a well till I started singing 'A whole new world'

I have nurtured some abilities as a young lady before I entered the army at eighteen

Since a lot of since a lot of mothers acquaintance would brag about their daughter's capabilities at their usual tea parties

And mother doesn't want to be looked down so she persuaded me to learn the piano, guitar, ballet, and do vocal trainings

I also learned how to cook , baked and ice skate thanks from watching anime titled food wars and Yuri on ice when when I was young that mother supported as long as I learn everything to heart

Which I did at the age of seventeen

"Whimper...whine.."

May thoughts were interrupted as I heard someone is whimpering in pain

As I got curious of the sound that I followed it still humming the song,

till I reach another rundown section of this cold palace

And there I saw two full grown adult wolves who's looming around protectively on it's child who's whimpering., which I think it's just worried for its parents as both adults are wounded

The male wolf growled warning me not to go near them

But I'm still taken aback at how calm they are as I'm a potential person that might hurt them

"Don't worry I'm not gonna harm you., if your willing to come with me. I'll tend on your wounds and keep you warm and fed"

I reach out my hand waiting for them to respond.,

Either way If they didn't come with me to the main room of this palace then I'll just have to deliver some foods to them till they got better

But I was surprised when I felt a soft fur brushing between my fingers as the female wolf came to respond as their pup run towards me also doing the same with my other hand while it's wagging it's tail

"Thank you for trusting me.. now let's get you guys in the main room"

I gently pick up the pup as it got comfortable in my arms. I also let the adult wolves see that their pup is comfortable in my arms and I won't harm it on any means.

They followed me though the room where I first woke up and I placed the pup on the bed

"You guys can settle here for now, I'll get us some food. Okay" I said smiling at the male wolf as I pat the female one before heading out once more

Well I didn't expect that I thought stretching my arms as I walked out

As for now my only option of a meal is those fish and the birds that soar the sky.

I picked up some stones and with my previous life accuracy I knocked down two birds which I hit on it's head

This would be enough for those wolves since A-Jin will be bringing me lunch

I head back inside to cook this birds, I looked everywhere for a knife but all I can find is a decoration sword which is still sharp enough to cut the birds in pieces

I also use the broken furnitures to start a fire and since I'm not really in the mood for a long processed cooking so I just sprinkled some Salt on it after I plucked all its feathers and roast it above the fire

I left it for a while as I wait for A-Jin at the entrance of this place and on cue she arrive with an old fashioned lunch box

"I'm sorry miss this is all that I would get from the kitchen"

Her eyes is tearing, also felt sorry for my steed

"It's fine, you did your best to help me A-Jin and I'm great full for that"  I said patting her head

She's too young for physical labor but none the less., she's making it look so easy

as she have a mature yet innocent look in her eyes

"Miss your too kind. Sob.. sob  you don't deserve to be treated this way! Why can't anyone see that your way better than any concubine in this palace" she said as I covered her mouth

"Hush your thoughts A-Jin, it's already dangerous for you to bring me food and if someone other than me could hear you could be sentenced to death by those bitches" I said sternly as she is still too young to die

It's common knowledge to all in my previous time that as a servant they can't voice out their resentment towards to the one in power

Her eyes darkened and face paled as she remembered that fact.,

Specially walls have ears and gossips can soar high and low

"Don't worry., if anything happens to you this consort would no longer stand by to watch." I said taking my hand off of her mouth

"Thank you sob..miss.. if there's anything you need sob..you can tell me and I'd get it for you"

" you're such a nice girl.. well I need some change of clothes and some blankets.. if you could bring it later this day it would be nice" I said as she just nod her head

"I better get going miss I promise to bring them to you before dusk"

She run further and further till I can't see her figure anymore.

I look at the near by trees as someone is following A-Jin.

Either it's from the emperor's or one of those bitches who wanted to harm me..

Though I'm also curious as to why there's no one guarding this cold palace.,

'Maybe that jerk didn't think much of me as his consort' I thought shrugging  as I head back inside to rotated the meat I'm roasting..,

As soon as it cooks up and cooled down I gave the meat to the wolves and patch their wounds with moringa oleofera which the only living plant I saw around

Then tear down the old curtains in this place to bandage it around the wound after I wash it with water that I got from the pond then applying the extract I got from the moringa oleofera.

Don't judge me as I got no other choice as I haven't found any other water source.

"This will do for now, you guys should rest up and regain your energy" I said patting the male wolf that he greatly enjoyed

After giving them something to eat the overprotective male wolf warmed up to me and accepted that I won't bring harm to his family which I'm relived since I don't want to be growled at every time I want to change their bandage

After that the whole afternoon I dusted and swept the place as I found a duster and a broom from where I found the wolves which made me sneeze multiple times

And I felt sticky as I sweat a lot from doing all of that to the main room and currently I'm looking for that well so I can take a bath already

But instead of finding a well I found a fresh water lake a little further from where I found the wolves

And with our further consideration I jumped in and rinse that sticky sweat and clean myself up head to toe.,

I decided to leave when I saw that the sun is setting down. It's cold as hell but I really don't mind it as I feel refreshed.

I can't imagined that girls from this era can't shower with out any assistance from their maids that's why that girl didn't take any shower since she came in this palace

I meet with A-Jin at the entrance in my wet state and she make a big fuss about it that made me send her away instantly grabbing the things I asked her, cause I can feel the presence of the one hiding in the shadows .

I also took note her light and dark bruises on her arms.

"Hey you behind those trees!" I yelled loud enough for that person to hear

"Be sure to send this message to your master, if anything happens to A-Jin in any possible harm again. This consort won't sit back and watch anymore!" I said glaring at where his hiding as I turned my back at him as I went inside.

While the one hiding in the shadows whose monitoring the young maid all the time with the order of the emperor

He felt that there's a sword near his neck as he shivered by just the glare of their empress consort

As one of the emperor's best shadow guard it took him by surprised that it took him a while to regain his composure as he head straight to his masters study to convey the message of the empress consort.

"Report.."

His master said coldly as soon as he arrived

"Yes your majesty " he said as he bowed

"The little maid servant took some of the empress consort dress and some blankets to the cold palace, along with some scraps taken from the kitchen for her highness dinner...." he reported but cut himself as his unsure on how to rely the message of the empress consort

While the shadow guard debate whether to tell it or not,

It got emperors attention as he sensed that his loyal shadow guard is hesitating as he put down his brush and look at the confusion in his trusted guard's eyes

"Anything else Feng Yun" the emperor asked that made the said guard to jolt a little

"Well... your majesty, her highness saw the bruises on that little maid due for being caught taking food from the kitchen at times... that her highness wanted me to rely you this message saying that if anything happen to that little maid servant in the future, her highness won't just sit back and just watch. Her highness also emphasized that she's the empress consort and point out where I am hiding" he rely what the empress said

"Oh, is that so..." he said interested in his report 

"Odd... consort Kim Li Ching knew that when someone is sent to the cold palace they doesn't have any foot hold in the palace or a say in the matter" Eunuch Fon said

One of the emperor's trusted men as they are childhood friends along with Feng Yun and Gou Shi which is the emperor's personal physician..

That is the reason they can voice out their thoughts to the emperor

"What will be my next course of action your majesty?" Feng Yun asked carefully, not to offend the said emperor

"Comply at what she wants and tell the kitchen to give that maid servant the meals that woman needs.." he said dismissively

"But your majesty isn't it not a punishment to the consort that you sent her to the cold palace?" Eunuch Fon reminded him

"Yes but still she's the favored child of Southern Marquis General Li Ching and the apple of the eye of her brother General Rin Li..., with those two armies combined our palace tropes would be nothing to their hundred thousand skilled soldiers." He decided playing it safe

"Hmm. You got a point there brother , though how sure are you that those won't change sides when they know what happened to Sister in law?" A man in light blue robe asked as he closed his fan

"As long as I got a hold of his daughter  they won't betray me with those trifles, Prince Idle Jun Meng" he said smirking at his eight brother's worried face
