"Selena, do you get off work right now?"

"Yeah, my parents called me home for dinner. But I bet you they don't have a word of greeting except 'when will I get married?' ".

Selena and Katy chatted as they walked to the cars.

"Well, see you tomorrow. Good luck with your dinner."

"See you, too."

Selena sighed and then hopped in the car.

(Selena's POV)

Yes, I'm Selena Truong, a young, pretty pediatrician. The proud pride of my mom and dad. I'm only 26 years old, spring is still exposed, my parents kept trying to force me to get married. Single is not happy enough ? I don't think so. I have freedom, i have more time for myself,... I'm satisfied with my life.

(3rd POV)

After 10 minutes driving, finally Selena arrived at her parents' house. Standing at the front door, she took a deep breath. She stepped inside. Meeting her mother's eyes, she smiled slightly.

"Mom, dad, I'm home."

"Come here and sit down, sweetheart. We need to talk to you." Mrs. Truong spoke seriously.

Selena sat down in front of them, waiting for them to continue this conversation.

"As you see, you are 26 years old and you really should get married. I introduced you to 15 people (blind date) and no one matching with you ?"

"Mom.... We really do not match at all. And I only get married when I meet my soulmate."

"Don't be so stubborn, young lady. If you marry late, you will not find a good husband."

"Let's not talk about it. Next week, I will go to the medical conference in China. You don't have to worry about me. I'm so sleepy right now. I'm heading home. Love you."

Selena makes an excuse to leave. Watching the shadow disappeared behind the door, her mom shook her head in frustration.

Applying a facial mask to her face, she texted with her bestie, Yvonne. Not wrong, she complained about getting married and family urging.

Yvonne: "Poor my little bestie, oh, I know a man who is perfect for you. He is your gouttttt~"

Selena: "Hm, send me a pic of him."

Morning at

xxx airport, Selena holds the sandwich in one hand, tries to eat it quickly.

The other hand holds her phone as she texts Yvonne.

(Messages)

Selena: " I'm on way to China now. I have a medical conference there. "

Yvonne: " Where exactly? "

Selena: " Guangzhou."

Yvonne: " Feng Wang lives there, too 😃"

Selena: “Oh, really. But I haven't even talked to him or even added friends. And I’m not

sure that I’ll have time to meet him 😅.”

Yvonne: “Okay. Good luck with the conference. I love you <3 “

Selena: “ I love you too, bestie <3”

The flight took off at 8 AM and landed at 9 pm. After a long time on the plane, Selena is exhausted now. She takes a taxi to the hotel, and dropped onto the comfy bed loosely. She fell

into deep sleep.

The next morning,

Selena wakes up and gets ready for the conference in the afternoon. She worked nonstop to join in it. She knows this is her chance to make everything perfect.

She goes to the grocery store nearby to get breakfast. Walking around the store, she finally decided to get a Chinese egg cake and a bottle of lemon tea.

When she steps out the store, she accidentally hit a man and made her fall over.

“Ouch…”

“ 小姐，你还好吗？(Are you okay, miss?) ” The man asked her and held out his hand to help her up.

She took his hand and tilted her head to look.

“ OMG... He’s so handsome. 😍” She looked into his eyes dazedly.

“ 小姐? (miss?)”

Until he called her one more time, she awoke. Her cheeks blush with embarrassment.

“I don’t speak Chinese. Sorry for

staring.” Selena spoke to break the awkward atmosphere.

He said nothing, just bent down and picked up her purse.  Suddenly noticed her scratched knee. He took out a bandage, and put it on her wound.

" He is so gentle~~~" she thought.

“Thank you so much, sir.” She bowed down to thank him and wore on a wry smile.

She turned to run small steps back to the hotel. The man watched her shadow shrink and disappeared after the

turn of the road.

“Boss, it’s time to go to the

conference.”

He nodded slightly and got in the

car.

“What the heck did you just do, Selena, why are you staring at him? It’s so embarassing !!!!

What if he thinks I’m perverted. “

The expression on her face gradually distorted. She

sighed and chased away the crazy thoughts.

“It’s 12 already. How did time fly so fast? I have to go to

the conference now.”

She took a taxi immediately and hopped in.

Getting out of the car, Selena thanked the driver and turned her head. Standing forward the entrance with big words “Guangzhou hospital”, she took a deep breath, gathered all the courage.

“You can do it, Selena !” She encouraged herself.

She smiled and stepped in confidently. When she was about to open the conference room’s door, another hand grabbed the knob faster than hers. She looked up to meet his gaze. Looking into his phoenix eyes, her heart raced like crazy.

“It’s him.” She instantly realized he is the man this morning when his handsome face hit in her eyes.

His hand pointed to the door indicating "come in". Selena’s eyes moved to his hand and then looked back to his eyes.

“Ah… Thank you, sir.” She replied awkwardly.

Inside the 3000 square feet room is more than 2000 chairs. This conference gathers together many excellent doctors from around the world. Each city will select 1 best doctor to represent in this conference and Selena is one of them.

Selena found a seat of 3rd row, she sat down and took out the document to prepare for the presentation. The man came inside and sat beside her. She was surprised and wondered why he was sitting beside her.

She titled her head to gaze at him. She found that he was also staring at her. She turned her head as fast as possible and looked at the documents in her hand, her face was all red. Selena tried to focus on the document but her heart was beating hard. Her face now full with shyness. He had seen all of her expressions up until now, he chuckled.

When the room was filled by everyone, the parson of the hospital stepped on the stage and stated.

“Good afternoon, thank you for attending the conference today. Let me introduced, the three representatives of WHO (World Health Organization). The investor and also CEO of Guangzhou hospital, Mr. Wang,…

The spotlight moved from the three representatives to Feng Wang.

“ So he is the investor of this hospital.” Selena thought.

“And now to start the conference, a presentation from Ms. Truong from xxx city. Thank you.”

After the parson walked down the podium and Selena took the place. She began to motive her presentation.

1:30 PM (Guangzhou) -> 12:30 PM (Da Nang, Vietnam)

Yvonne sat on the bed with a mini desk, on top the desk was a laptop. She tried to finish all the office work. She

lied down the bed, a very bored expression showed on her face.

“Maybe I’ll watch some Tik Tok videos a bit 😋“. Yvonne thought as she took her phone on the nightstand.

After surfing through a few videos, she stopped by a video.

“ He is so cute, what’s his name?

What’s his name ?”

It’s a guy with blonde hair, his eyes shined as there were stars. When he smiled,

dimples were clearly visible at the corner of his mouth  She slided to the left to see his profile.

“Jun Wang ? He did not disclose any other information.”

She felt dissapointed, threw her phone on the bed.

“I wonder if Selena has finished the conference.”
