'Mmm where am I?' Xue wakes up in a dim cave. Confused, he looked around to fine some clue.

The cave is a natural cave with green moss on the walls, the entrance is small but bigger inside with a small pond near the entrance and some shrub to conceal the only entry.

'I thought I had a car accident? But why am I in a cave?' Jin thought while trying to get up, only to trip and fall.

Xue was dumfounded, not because of tripping but because of what he is seeing now.

Before him is a small furry paw with pink paw pads and white fluffy fur. Xue got up and sprint out in all fours.

Xue got out of the cave and looked at his reflection in the the water.

What he saw was not a human but a small, palm-size creature. It has pure white fluffy coat of fur, a fluff around the neck with a fluffy fox tail behind it. But what makes it even more cute was its clear blue eyes, it is sky blue then gets lighter outward with a black vertical slit in the middle.

Seeing the adorable creature in the surface of the water, Xue was speechless.

'A-am I reborn as a fox?.......couldn't I at least be an adult fox?' That's right, Xue is a fox cub instead of an adult one.

ruuuuu~~

Xue stiffen, thinking that a beast was nearby, only ti find out the noise came from him.

Helpless, he trode toward the forest to find food.

The grasses in the forest were as high as an adult's knee, which was an advantage to Xue who has a petite body. But the downside was......Xue couldn't even see whats up ahead.

'It'll take me forever to find food like this.........hmmm.. I need to look for higher ground.' After thinking for a bit he chose to clime a tree.

Although he is still a cub, his claw were sharp enough to cling on the bark. With his petite yet agile body he began climbing with some effort.

After a few minute he finally clawed himself on a trunk.

Looking down from above he can see far better.

'Let see....hmm snake? nope! too big......rabbit?...too many....rat? wai-what eww even if I'm an animal now rat is off the list! lets just hunt for a lone rabbit..huh?'

Xue turned around an saw a grey squerrel about his size. 'A squerrel perhaps?'

Xue sprint toward to squerrel, catching it off guard. The grey squerrel and the white fox have a brawl on the trunk of a tree, Xue gained the upper hand by swiping his claw toward the squerrel's thigh and effect its movement.

After a few minute Xue won by snaping on its neck with his fangs.

After killing the squerrel, Xue seem hesitant to sink his fangs on his first prey. Just as he was about to bite the squerrel he heard some noise.

Turning his head he saw two grey squerrels, one smaller while the other the same size as the one beneath him.

'Ugh... did I just encounter a squerrel family?' With that thought in mind the two squerrels pounce on him after looking at the dead body beneath him.

After anothe round of intense brawl, Xue finally killed the last one. He was not lucky this time as he had some injuries on him.

Xue knows he cannot eat in peace here so he threw the bodies down and head to his den after flunging them on his back.

After entering his den, he ate fruit of labor dispite the pungent smell of blood.

'Hmm? It doesn't taste that bad.....seem like I can eat it raw after all' After finishing two bodies he rest to recover some energy.

Being mentaly exhausted from fearing of being found by bigger predators and physically exhausted from the fight, Xue soon drift off to dreamland.

Three months later~

"Grrrrrrr rafff" Xue pounce swiftly on the rabbit and snap at its neck.

'Phew~ that's 5 deer, 20 rabbits. I dont plan to hunt in winter like others and with my preserve food I wont be lacking food in winter haha.....laa~ laa~ I'm a happy fox~ hmm hm hmm~ gonna have a juicy rabbit for a huh?'

Walking while singing a tune with a rabbit on his back, Xue smelled blood, turning around and following the scent he saw a cloth sticking out from the corner of a tree.

Driven by curiosity, Xue peak behind the tree only to find a child leaning on a tree barely breathing.

He seem to be about 10 years old with an extreamly pale handsome little face making it not hard to guess he will be a handsome man. He wore a black robe with grey cloud pattern with a white jade with Qilin carving.

He seem to be cold as his lips were purple and shivering non-stop, as it's the begining of winter it start snowing but it's still easy to tell he is poisoned.

'Should I save him? From the material of his cloth he must be some high ranking official's son...poor guy he must have been draged in the turmoil for seat or position. Dont worry I wont let you be abandoned like me.

With that thought in mind Xue put down the rabbit from his back and lift the child on the scruff of his neck. He toss him gently on his back and left with the rabbit on his mouth.

Xue have grew taller during the pass two month, he's now the size of a young wolf and as strong as a tiger thanks to plenty nurishing foods and exercise and some external help from herb and pills.

Little did Xue know that two people appear few minutes after he left. They both wrap up in black with only their eye visible.

"Didn't you say that the Crown Prince was here?" the taller one said.

"He was here I swear. I dont know how he dissapear?" answered the shorter one.

"He's poisoned with the cold frost poison, when it act he wouldn't be able to move with the extream cold effecting him. Even if he somehow move from here he wont be far away. Lets split up and serch or else Her Majesty will punish us if we fail to kill him."

Then they split up and serch around the every corner of the forest. They pass by Xue's cave but as it was well consealed and due to its small size they ignore it and head deeper into the forest.

Inside the cave Xue put the the child on a pile of beast skin and rummage the other room.

As Xue got stronger he began to decorate his cave. He pile some soft leaf, layered it with a bear skin then laying it with soft rabbit fur to make himself a bed. He takes a lot of effort for the bear skin.

He carved shelf out from the cave wall to put some porclean bottles filled with herbs and fruits there.

He also make a small room, put in a pile of fresh snow and put his prey there.

He also steal some berries from his neighbor Mr. Black Bear. hehe~ okay back to the topic.

He also have some pills and spirit stones by luck. Some mercinary carriage were attack by magical beasts and they killed all the humans while he plunder the loots. That includes some cloth, beast fur, pills, herb, spirit stones etc.

As he has yet to ragain his human form to absorb the energy inside, he put the pile of spirit stones aside in some porclean bottles and enchanted wodden box.

He rumage through all the pill and herbs he has and finally found a golden pill with yellow linings with the aroma of herb, clearly it's a precious pill and he only have this one. Still he doesn't hesitate to feed it to the child.

He doesn't hesitate because he could make better pill in the future when he regain his human form as he got a golden book inside his dantian.

The dantian formed naturally two week after his transmigation. Following that a golden book pop out of nowhere and forcefully shove knowledge of herb, alchemy, ore and weaponsmith inside his head, almost killing him multiple time in the process, making him shiver every time he remember.

Dantian is the core of cultivation for human while magical beasts have Crystal Core.

After feeding the child the pill with water, he curl himself around him. That night Xue sleep by letting him lean on his shoulder and covering him with his fluffy white tail.

Hi cuties~ what do you think so far. Some might be confused by the protagonist's name and I understand than as I type Jin on the intro while I type Xue in the chapters.

Well that's because I just found out Jin means Gold in chinese while Xue means Snow.

As my protagonist doesn't have any characteristic related to Gold I change it from Jin to Xue in the story.

I reason he's named Xue will be revealed in the following chapters so please bare with it.

Just so you know I know I know very little of english and knew nothing of chinese so forgive my mistake~😜😜😜😜

Jin Long's POV

'Mmm.....what a soft and warm blanket......Wait!....

Didn't my poison act up?.....If so why I feel warm instead of feeling cold?'

I open my eye and saw the cave ceiling. I looked at the ceiling in a daze....suddenly I felt something move beside me.

I stiffen, not daring to move as I doesn't know what's beside him.

Hundred of ways to escape ran through my mind but I know I doesn't have a chance with the creature so close to me.

Suddenly, the creature beside me let out a yawn, get up and did a lazy strech.

I finally saw what the creature looks like.

It was a beautiful pure white fox the size of a young wolf, it has a slender body, a fluff around the neck with a fluffy tail the same length of his body which he thought as 'blanket'.

But the most beautiful part was its phoenix eyes, it's sky blue and turn into lighter shade outward with a vertical slid in the middle, making his eye mysterious.

It looked at me look at me curiously with its pure blue eyes.

Xue's POV

I woke up because of the little creature rubbing its face against my tail.

I shift a little as I felt uncomfortable because of the rubbing, my tail is one of the most sensitive part of me after all.

When I did move he stiffen, clearly he was spooked. He's already awake so I got up, yawned and did a lazy strech.

I look at him to check his condition while he also size me up.

I saw shock in his black as ink eye as well as a bit of waryness, surely he's not a gullible child.

Seeing that he's fine, I cover him with a warm blanket and head to the Ice room.

I came back with a rabbit on my back and a plate with some fruit.

He was sitting on the 'bed', looking at me waryly.

I pay no heed to that and return to room where I pile the clothes after putting the fruit in front of him and the rabbit on the stone slab.

In the room I look for cloth of his size. Rummaging through the clothes, I foung a dark blue cloth with wave pattern.

The colour and size was perfect.

With the cloth in my mouth, I walk out of the room to only to fiind him gone.

I panicked and drop the cloth. I search every corner of the cave but I couldn't find him, 'Which means......he's not in the cave.'

As soon as that thought ran through my mind I dash out of the cave, frantically searching for his scent.

'Please dont let him meet other animals please dont let that happen to him too.'

Xue still remember, her back, his wails.....the bitter cold snow and the child trembling in the dark....the sound of howling winds.

*Drip drip*

Tears pour out of his eyes nonstop as he dash toward his faint scent.

He pick up his scent, but before he could feel happy, he remember where this lead to.

His heart sinks as he dash even faster.

Passing a couple of trees he saw him leaning against a tree, before him is a towering silhuete.

Before even conferming what that silhuete is he jump and crash onto that silhuete.
