The door unlocked, Gianna pushed the door in order to have access to go inside and stepped inside the house.

The house, which she got from her dad as a gift on her 19th birthday because he was not able to spend his time celebrating his precious daughter's birthday. Gianna never thought there will be a day in near future when She'll just move in this house. Being a 20 year old young lady gia never thought of moving out of her parent's house and start living herself.

As soon as she entered in she was quite aware that the house was fully covered in dust and webs. The 1st thing in her list when she decided to move in was to clean the house. She kept her luggage on a spot which she covered with newspaper she got while traveling here. The whole house was fully furnished. But she still had to buy other things like mop, buckets, utensils and most importantly the things needed to feed herself.

Coming home from traveling gia felt very sticky and uncomfortable also having the urge to release she inside searching for the washroom. The house was quite huge. It was her 1st time entering the house. After finding where the washroom is she came back running towards her luggage opened it found her towel , undergarments, clean clothes, her body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

She ran back towards the washroom which she 'discovered' and was way too far from the living room.

20 mins in hot shower and she felt like she heard something. Maybe after effects of traveling, she thought because she was not really used to traveling. She dressed herself in a simple denim jean and a white shirt with little cherries embroidered on it and came out drying her wet hair with towel. Her father already contacted his friend so the electricity was connected. One less work to be done, she thought. She took out the hairdryer from her bag, connected it, turned the switch on and started drying her hairs. After drying her hairs she set off out her house with a bag hanging on her shoulder.

"Oh! What a sunny day!", Gia thought walking down the lane where only few people were seen. She was getting familiar with the surroundings when she saw a cafe. She decided to drop by the cafe while returning from shopping and have something delicious.

Going out for shopping on a sunny day was really tiresome she thought as she dragged all the bags filled of all the items and a mop which was obviously not going to get a bag to be carried. She booked a cab and came back home where again she had to drag all the bags and the mop inside the house. As soon she reached inside the home she plopped on the dust covered couch which glued to her 'oh so expensive' outfit. But she seemed to not care about it because she was tired, Tired from head to toe. Tired till the point she wanted to postpone the work of cleaning the house. Being on the verge of dozing off she closed her eyes mildly when she heard a loud thud. She jumped out of the couch even though being tired, just to find the mop fell out of balance which led her to plop again on the sofa.

After 10 mins of relaxing gia started to get things together. She swept the house at first to remove all the excess dust then filled the bucket with water mopped the floor thrice in order to have stainless and clean floor. It took her nearly 2 hour the clean the entire house. After doing so much of labor 8t was time to eat some delicious food which she was so tired to cook. She searched for nearest restaurant or cafe to order something. She decided to order some pizza and dessert from the 'Paul's cafe' which she came across and wanted to go there before coming back to home.

Gia decided to take a quick shower before the food delivery arrives. After taking a shower she tried connecting wires to the television when the door bell rang. "Food Delivery", said the delivery guy. "Yes coming", gia replied back in the same way. She ran toward the door and opened it. The delivery guy handed her order to her with a pamphlet and explained her if she needed to learn baking and stuff she should visit the cafe or maybe pass the information to the people who need to learn something new and at last by saying "have a nice day mam" the delivery guy left.

"Hmm, learn baking?. Maybe i should give it a try. Anyways it's vacation and I'll be bored if i live here for 24 hours " gia said to herself.

It was a long day for gia. After eating pizza and the dessert she ordered from cafe she was so full and fell asleep as soon as she kept her head on the pillow. After having nearly 10 hours of good sleep gia woke up with a cramp in her neck. "Damn the only problem of sleeping on new pillows" gia said to herself while giving a massage to her neck and walking towards the washroom to brush her teeth. 2 mins in bathroom and she heard loud noise coming from kitchen. As if everything fell off the shelf. She ran towards the kitchen and saw all the utensils on the ground. Her breathe stopped for a second. "What the heck happened here?" She questioned herself. She started arranging everything in the order it was and removing few broken glass wares and putting them in trash bin. "Maybe i did not keep them in right way and it lost it's balance and fell!" She assured herself.

The thing happened in the kitchen was still in her mind. She decided to not bother about it and just go to the cafe and sign up for baking class so that she can keep her mind busy and get some new skills in her list.

After wearing a pretty polka dot frock she left the house and started to walk straight to the cafe. She reached the cafe. Before she entered she held her breathe and said "good luck gia" to herself. She opened the door of cafe and the bell on the door chimed. The worker welcomed their new customer with a warm smile. Gia went straight towards the counter where she saw a man who must be in his mid 30's behind the counter. There was one more guy who seemed like he was there just for chatting. Gia glanced at him and the order guy did the same. They exchanged a smile. When…

"What will you like to have madam?" Asked the man behind the counter.

"One iced americano and a cinnamon roll" said gia.

"Oh what a classic choice. Please take a seat your will get it in few minutes" said the man and gave the order to the people inside the kitchen.

The mild music playing in the background. The soft seats. Magazines near every table. Fancy tissue box which had a unique message was on every table. The waiter's were so polite. They offered a fortune cookie to every customer when the customer is set to go out after paying their bills. Everything about the cafe was so peaceful. Gia liked the environment. She snapped out of her thoughts and felt a pair of eyes starring at her. "Who could be staring at me?" Thought gia.

"Hey stop staring at my customer. Will you?" Said Chris Paul waving his hand in front of Evan's face.

"Yeah yeah stop bragging i know she is 'YOUR CUSTOMER' ". Said Evan in a sarcastic manner.

"Why do you think I'm bragging? And I'm just saving you from trouble. What if she catches you staring at her and beat your *** off?" Said chris

"Oh man, when did you start caring about me?" Evan said chuckling.

"Sorry to hurt your feelings but I'm concerned about my cafe's reputation". said chris with a annoyed tone.

"Whatever, Now just pack a black forest cake and few cookies for me" said evan.

"Do you have a sweet tooth or something?" chris asked teasingly.

"That's not for me, finally i have a neighbor. Like after a year. But I'm not sure who is staying in that house. It's not a family for sure". Said evan.

"Yeah ok I'll pack it a good way. What if your neighbor is a pretty girl just like that one". chris said moving his towards gia.

"Don't be ridiculous mind your damn business Mr. Paul" growled evan.

Gia went near counter to ask about the information regarding the baking class. And had a small conversation with chris. Chris gave her a form to fill up. Which she filled and returned it to chris. After paying chris gave her a fortune cookie. She took it and after coming out from the cafe she opened the cookie and being very excited she opened the paper. "Be brave, trust the unknown" . gia crumbled the paper while putting it into the pocket "huh let's see what happens!"

While walking on the way to the home she felt someone behind her. She glanced through her side just to find a pair of legs coming towards her. Someone was following her. The road was empty. Just gia and the guy behind her were the only people on the road. Gia felt insecure and started running as her house was not too far. As soon as she entered inside the gate she locked it ran towards the door. Opened it and locked it from inside.

She was breathless as she ran with out a break and was too sacred because of someone following her.

"I should have turned back and seen his face so that next time i could have identified him" thought gia while going to get some water from the kitchen.

The kitchen was again a mess utensils were all on the ground. The oil was spread on the kitchen counter. This time she wasn't able to assure herself by saying anything. Fear crept in her mind. She was going to sit down and pick the utensils but the bell rang so suddenly she closed her ears with both the hand and closed the eyes tightly.

Not being able to process what actually happened in the kitchen gia was struck with fear. She was going to clean the mess but suddenly the bell rang. Giving air to the fire of fear. Gia closed her ears with both her hands and kept her eyes tightly shut. The bell rang multiple times but gia was in a frozen state. A few more times the bell rang. An unfamiliar voice of a man came from outside. "Hey i know you are inside. Open the door". said the voice

Gia mustered all the courage. Picked the vase which was on the nearest table in the living room. She opened the door and raised both her hand to hit the guy which she thought was a stalker from earlier. But before she could hit him he caught her wrist. "Was he so fast? Or was i so slow?" Thought gia.

"Hey hey hey, is this a new way of welcoming people ?" Said the guy holding onto gia's wrist.

"Aren't you the guy from the cafe? Did you were the one following me!" Gia said while struggling to free her wrist.

"First thing, yes I'm the guy from the cafe. And second thing i did not follow you" the guy said while freeing gia's hand.

"Then why are u at my place if you didn't follow me?" Gia asked raising her eyebrow.

"because this a responsibility of a good neighbor" Evan said with a wide smile.

"Neighbor?" Gia asked with a confused look.

"Yeah neighbor, i live in that house" evan said pointing towards his house which was right next to gia's house.

"Oh, i thought …" gia said with a embarrassed look on her face.

"That's okay. You are new here so it's normal to think like that, don't be embarrassed" evan said giving her a wide smile.

Gia saw the label which was on the package "for my beautiful neighbor"  written on it. "So you saw me yesterday?" Gia raised a question.

"No" evan answered. "Then why does the label says 'for my beautiful neighbor'?". Gia raised one more question with a doubtful face. "Because everyone is beautiful in their own way". Evan answered with a innocent smile. "What if i was a mafia or a killer?" Gia asked. "Are you less than a mafia? You welcomed me with a vase inches away from my pretty forehead" evan answered with a chuckle.

"Hmm whatever come in, nice to meet you dear neighbor. Let's take care of each other" gia said with a smile.

"Sure" said evan giving her the cake and cookies he brought from the cafe.

"Would you like to have some cinnamon tea?" Gia asked while taking the package from evan's hand.

"Hmm cinnamon tea, sure". evan said.

Gia went inside kitchen to make cinnamon tea meanwhile evan sat there thinking about his first meeting with his neighbor which was quite unique. He sure was behind her while walking but he didn't knew she was his neighbor.  After a while gia came with a tray with tea and snacks.

"Here is the tea and some snacks" gia gave him the cup of tea.

"Thanks, and let me introduce myself.

I'm Evan". He said extending his right hand for a handshake.

"I'm Gianna Miz". Gia said while extending her hand.

"Nice to meet you miss Miz. I think i have heard this name somewhere" Evan said sipping his tea.

"Daughter of Andrew Miz and the only heir of brandcez. Gianna miz" gia said smiling at Evan.

"Br- Brandcez… The biggest company in city B... Andrew MiZ the owner and the richest man of city B?" Evan asked keeping the cup on the table not being able to believe.

"Umm yes" gia said with a nod.

"I have seen you but i didn't recognize you. You are much more prettier in real" evan said.

"Oh! Thank you for the compliment" gia said her cheeks turned pink.

"But what is the only heir of brandcez doing here in city C?" Asked evan being curious to know.

"I- i……

Before gia could complete her sentence there was a loud bang in the kitchen. Both gia and evan ran inside to see what happened. Just like other time gia found all the utensils on the ground. Thankfully this time she did not keep the glass utensils on the racks instead she kept it in the box inside the guest room.

"This is 3rd time in these 2 days" gia said while picking the utensils.

"Oh, and did something else happen? Like do you feel cold or something?" evan asked while helping her pick up the utensils.

"No, why are you asking like that?" Gia asked being scared by the way evan asked it with a emotionless face.

"Not to scare you but there was a rumor that a ****** ghost lives house"  evan said with a gloomy expression.

"What? What should i do? Are you sure about it?" Gia turned pale by fear.

"Yes, But don't be scared i can help" evan stood up and started to go near the shelf. Gia ran behind him scared of being harmed by the ****** ghost.

Evan raised his head towards the topmost shelf. Looking at the corner most part of the shelf he said "i know you have a purpose to be fulfilled. But doing this won't help you. This girl can't be used. She is way too younger than you. So you better leave this place. afterall Living here will do no good to you, you better run away while I'm saying nicely because even though i cant call an exorcist, she can. You know right That will be more painful for you?" After saying this he opened the window.

"Di- Did she go?" Gia asked with a shaky voice.

Evan started laughing hysterically. Gia stepped behind.

"Evan, you alright?" Gia asked.

"Of course I'm, gianna don't tell me you believed this!" Evan said laughing hysterically.

Gia sighed dropping herself on the floor. "Of course i believed it and I thought you were possessed or something".

"Gianna there is nothing like ghost. Don't believe in it" evan advised her.

"Evan you are so mean, you know how scared i was just now. That's not a thing to joke about. And i believe ghost exist just like we human exist". Gia said raging with anger.

"So will you believe if i say I'm a vampire?" Evan asked raising his eyebrow.

"I won't. Because i haven't seen anything suspicious. But just because you said I'll observe you". gia said keeping the utensils in its place and moving out towards the living. Evan followed her and sat in the couch taking a sip of tea and looking at gia's pale face.

"I'm sorry about it. I tried to be funny." apologized evan.

"It's okay, i get scared easily" gia said raising the plate and offering some snacks to evan.

"How old are you now?" Evan asked taking a cookie from the plate and trying to air of awkwardness.

"I'm 21. And you?"

"I'm 23+1" said evan after a while of thinking.

"23+1? You mean 24?" Gia asked

"No. Just 23+1. Or maybe you can say i completed 1/4th of 23rd year". Evan said.

"Oh. You turned 23 three months ago. Why would you be so mysterious. Can't you say you are 23 years old" Gia said taking a bite of the cookie.

"Aren't you the 1st rank holder of city B?". Evan asked glancing at gia.

"Yes I was". Gia answered clearing her throat and gulping another sip of tea. "How do you know about it? Am i that famous?".

Evan laughed at gia's remark.

"Famous, of course you are. Do you sometimes forget that you are the only 'heir of brandcez '." Evan said emphasizing the last 3 words.

"Hmm, that's good". Gia said with a poker face.

After saying that Evan felt like he peeked into a dark room. The atmosphere became cold. Evan stood up.

"Nice to meet you my neighbour. Let's be good friends" evan said extending his hand again for a handshake.

Gia gave him a smile while shaking hands with him.

"Let's meet tomorrow, at Paul's cafe" evan said with a bright smile. "Earlier i forgot to tell you that I'll also be your classmate at Paul's cafe"

"Oh that's good. See you tomorrow" gia said waving her hands. As evan exited from the gate.

Gia locked the door. And started cleaning up the table on which she served tea to evan. Her mind was occupied with the thing evan did earlier in the kitchen. It really did not feel like a prank. There was a cold vibe in the kitchen before the window's opened. There was something different. And now that feeling was gone.

Gia felt chills when she thought about it.  Not being able to shake off those odd thoughts she decided to take a stroll in her backyard.

She opened the back door and stepped out of it. The backyard was covered with fresh carpet of nature. Green grass wanting her to step on them. All the trees in her yard dressed in their wooden clothes were already welcoming her into their place. Bushes of plants al rustled in happiness wanting to be touched by her. Heaps of freshly fallen leaves were collected in a place which looked like a beany chair for her to sit.

Fresh breeze kissed her cheeks and attempted to take her chocolate brown hairs with them. The backyard which looked like mini forest helped gia clear her mind.

After a stroll it was time to make dinner. Gia went inside to cook. Entering in kitchen again reminded her of the thing that happened. She decided to play some music and cook.

Cooking for the first time is full of confusion. Gia managed to cook some pasta. She cooked it for herself and that was her biggest achievement. After all the chores she went back in her room to embrace her bed and relax.

Pulling her sheets over her body she started thinking about her day. "Evan is such a strange guy" she thought to herself. Closing her eyes. The moonlight entered from gia's window to have a look at gia sleeping. It embraced the lonely kid and helped her have a good night.

Next morning gia woke up with a smile on her face. She dreamed about baking a fluffy and beautiful cake. Which made her feel so worthy of herself. Gia always found happiness in such simple things although she was the richest she always craves for simple things in her life.

Today was the first day of baking classes at Paul's cafe. Excitement ran into her body. She locked the door and started to walk out of the gate.she suddenly paused as she remembered evan's words "let's meet tomorrow at Paul's cafe". He was her classmate at baking class. No matter how she thought the only word matched him was "strange".

She started walking on the lane. The sun shining in the sky. The bird's chirping on the branches of the tree. The butterflies changing their destination from one  flower to another flower were all so beautiful. She didn't even realise she walked in a sunny day without being tired.

Chris welcomed her with a wide smile. His gleaming white teeths was shining so bright like a diamond. Gia smiled back at him. Chris directed her towards left where the class were to be taken. Gia walked towards the class. There were already 5 peoples. Including evan. Evan smiled at gia ,waved at her and patted at the seat near him. Seemed like he was also very excited. Gia went near him and sat. Evan started introducing the other 4 peoples who were his friends.

"This is elvin" evan pointed a guy who looked like a handsome nerd. Specs on his nose bone. Hairs parted in side and combed as perfectly as it can be. Dressed neatly as he was employed in some MNC. His eyes roamed everywhere but not where gia was sitting. He seemed like a shy person.

"This is andy" evan pointed at a punky guy who was sitting right beside elvin. His hairs were bleached. He looked like a rockstar. He wore a ripped pants and a oversized shirt which was half tucked in his pants and half out. He extended his hand for hanshake. He seemed like a friendly and sweet person rather than all punky and rowdy.

"This is louis and this is jen" evan said pointing his 2 fingers in their direction. "Every class has a lovey -dovey devil couple to make other single angels jealous this one is that devil couple of our class" Evan said with a smirk while andy hugged elvin mimicked jen hugging louis.

Jen threw a book at andy which landed on elvin's face because andy escaped. Andy bursted into laughter. As louis caught jen before she could beat the shit out of andy.

"And guys this is gia my new neighbour" evan said pointing at gia.

Gia smiled at 4 of them not knowing what to say.

"Guys i feel a new couple will be born in this class" andy said with a smirk glancing at evan.

"Then we devil's will devour you" jen said growling at andy.

In a moment 20 people's entered the classroom wothout pause. Everyone settled in the empty seats and the classroom was full of people. Everyone busy in talking with each other no one noticied one young man entered the class.

He took the chalk and made a screech noise on the board. Everyone's ears rang and everyone's attention moved towards the guy.

"Welcome to the class, I'll be accompanying you all in this learning journey. I'm here to assist you all in learning the art of baking" the guy said with a smile. Which was cold. And seemed non friendly and dominating.

"You guys can call me stef" he said glancing at everyone in the room. As if he did not wanted to miss eye contact with any one of the student.

"Now wach one of you take your time and introduce yourself, today is going to be only talk session so open up as much as you can and get to know each other because there won't be a chance like this in future". stef said taking his seat.

After each one introduced themselves. Stef stood up and came in the center of the class. "You guys already decided your learning partners when you chose your seats" stef said with a smirk. "This won't change, and the seatmates who are now partners will accompany each other in learning".

Gia glanced at the young man. Who glanced back at her. His sapphire like eyes meeting gia's amber like eyes.

so evan is gia's classmate. and looks like gia is having new friends now.

i guess andy is the person who makes the classroom lively.

and yes the devil couple lol. every classroom has that one couple.
