ハイキュウ Filthy Hands • Sakusa K.
Seat
A/N: This chapter is inspired by one of my favorite stories.
You said as you put on your shoes and went ahead together with your cousin.
Your parents are working abroad, and you are currently living with your aunt, your mom's sister.
It was the start of the year, you are a second year and Yū is in his last year of high school at Itachiyama high. You both continued walking to school before going separate ways.
Soon, it wasn't long before you arrived in front of the gate.
(Y/n)
Well then, see you later at home.
As you walked your way through the hallways, you recognized familiar faces while some were new, probably first years.
As you went in your classroom, you sat on the third row from the back.
Most people were chatting with each other while you don't have much friends in this school.
Soon, the murmurs stopped.
You thought it was because of the teacher but when you turned to look, you saw a tall man wearing a mask to which you knew.
Your brows knitted when you saw the person you absolutely despise.
He looked around the classroom, trying to find an empty spot.
The girls in the classroom started squealing and fangirling although you didn't.
His eyes landed on the empty seat beside you.
Most girls wanted to sit beside Sakusa, but you didn't. Who'd want to sit next to a clean-freak that'll glare at you if you make the slightest contact.
As he was approaching the seat beside you, you did something that would make him doubt his decision.
You sneezed in front of him, not covering your mouth on purpose.
You could see the annoyed and disgusted look on his face.
"Oh my god, how dare she do that in front of Sakusa-senpai..." You could hear some girls whispering.
(Y/n)
'Mhm, how do you like that?'
He mumbled under his mask.
You could see that he didn't want to sit next to someone like you, so he had no choice but to sit behind you instead, since there were rarely any empty seats.
(Y/n)
'I don't want to sit next to someone like you, annoying freak.'
(Y/n)
W-Wow... This place is so big...
You said as you wandered around the campus of your new high school.
You were a first year, and it was your first time here.
After class, around after noon, you saw people gathering at a huge building which was the gym.
You could also hear loud noises.
Out of curiosity, you decided to check it out as well.
You managed to take a little sneak peak inside the gym.
And that's when you saw it. The way he jumped, and spiked the ball, you saw how cool he looked.
Ever since then, you became one of his fangirls.
You had feelings for him.
You would watch all his matches, cheer for him, and sometimes even stalked him.
Until a few months later, where you couldn't take it anymore, and confessed to him.
(Y/n)
I-I've... always liked you!
You stood there, eyes closed. Oh how much courage it took you to blurt out those simple words.
Sakusa
I'm sorry, but I don't like you back.
He replied bluntly before turning turning around to walk.
That's when he pushed you aside, causing you to fall on the ground.
Sakusa
Tch, don't touch me with your filthy hands.
He looked at you with his brows knitted.
Sakusa
I'm supposed to be in practice right now.
He said, turning around to walk away.
(Y/n)
I'm not even worth your precious time, huh?
Tears started running down your face.
Ever since then, all those feelings you've had for him, all turned into hatred and despise.
Scene
It wasn't long before the class was full and the teacher arrived.
He said to all of you as he just entered the room.
Teacher
Today is the first day of the year, so official classes will start tomorrow.
You could hear some of your classmates celebrating.
And so, the rest of the day continued with chatting, and getting to know each other better.
While one of your classmates was sharing things about himself, you didn't really care so you rested your head on your desk and stared out the window.
It wasn't a very sunny day, so the atmosphere outside was quite gloomy.
You could also see your reflection on the window.
(Y/n)
'I look good today...'
Behind you, you could also see the reflection of Sakusa.
He seemed to be paying attention and of course, with his mask still on his face.
You stared at him through the reflection on the window.
You thought, couldn't help but admit.
(Y/n)
'...but for some reason I hate it.'
He was nothing more than a good-looking, yet really rude clean-freak that's good at volleyball. And of course, someone who broke your heart.
(Y/n)
'I feel bad for all the girls that like him...'
You thought, remembering what happened about a year ago.
You glared at him once again, before sitting back up.
(Y/n)
'Mhm. He can't see me.'
Or so you thought, after you looked back at the window.
Because it wasn't long before he spotted your reflection too.
You both stared at each other's eyes for a few seconds.
You stared at him with an expressionless face as he did the same.
You quickly looked away, breaking the eye contact.
Just now, you were captivated by his looks just like any other girl would.
You quickly took another glance at him and saw that he was no longer looking.
(Y/n)
'Does he not remember me?'
(Y/n)
'Nah. I bet hundreds of girls confessed to him.'
(Y/n)
'And I'm nothing special worth remembering.'
Soon, the bell rang, signaling that it was time for lunch.
Teacher
Okay, that's it for now. Have a great lunch, if you'll excuse me.
He said as he went outside.
As some students got up to go to the cafeteria, you weren't really that hungry so you just stayed seated.
You heard someone call out from the door.
You looked behind to see that it was Komori Motoya, Sakusa's cousin.
Unfortunately, the both of them aren't in the same class.
You slowly watched Sakusa's reflection as he walked out of the classroom. As well as some girls drooling over him.
After a few minutes of staring out the window, you got bored and decided to go somewhere else.
You bought some snacks from the vending machine before heading towards the rooftop where few people rarely go to.
As you approached the edge, you could see the view from above.
Students chatting, hanging out with friends, some are even holding hands.
You could also see the spot where you confessed to Sakusa, under a huge tree.
(Y/n)
If only I wasn't such an idiot back then... I wouldn't have confessed...
But instead of feeling bad, you put the blame on Sakusa instead.
You said out of the blue.
Sakusa
Tch, don't touch me with your filthy hands.
That scene still replays in your mind, and it hurts and makes you cringe everytime it does.
(Y/n)
I'm not the one who's filthy though...
You couldn't help but start to tear up. Was it because he rejected you? Was it because he called you filthy?
You harshly wiped the tears off with your hands.
(Y/n)
I shouldn't be crying over someone to like him.
You flinched when you heard someone since you thought no one else was there.
But then you soon recognized the familiar voice.
Yū
What do you mean "Over someone like him"?
He said as he walked towards you.
You tried to laugh it off. You didn't wanna make such a big deal over a simple rejection that happened in the past.
(Y/n)
Plus, it was a long time ago...
Yū can be really over-protective sometimes. Especially when he doesn't have any siblings, and you were like a little sister to him.
(Y/n)
No, it's fine really, I swear.
Yū
Just tell me who he is, I won't do anything.
You doubted what he said.
Yū
I'll just hate him, I guess.
(Y/n)
It's Sakusa, Sakusa Kiyoomi.
Yū
I'm not very fond of him either.
(Y/n)
Well, promise me you won't do anything.
Yū
Yeah. But if he does it again, that's when I'll beat him up.
You then approached him to give him a hug.
(Y/n)
If it does happen, then I give you my permission to do so.
He said as he hugged you back.
You were grateful to have someone like him to treat you like a little sister.
Deal
After that, you soon went back to your classroom just in time for afternoon classes.
The rest of the day went normal.
The next day, you walked to school and you were greeted by lots of students gathering at a spot.
You were curious. But because of the crowd, you couldn't really see what's happening.
(Y/n)
What's with the ruckus...
Unknown
Some girl is confessing to Sakusa Kiyoomi.
You flinched when you heard someone beside you suddenly speak.
(Y/n)
It's still the second day though...
Akari
I feel bad for the girl.
(Y/n)
She was rejected, right?
Akari
In the most humiliating way.
Akari
I'm Akari, by the way.
She reached her hand out for a handshake.
Akari
You don't seem to like him though, Sakusa.
(Y/n)
Yeah, I hate that guy...
You said as you both started walking, ignoring the commotion.
(Y/n)
How about you? You don't seem to be fond of him either.
(Y/n)
Oh, you don't have to say it.
Akari
I like someone else...
(Y/n)
Is that so? Well atleast your not a Sakusa fangirl...
Akari
Yeah, I totally agree.
Akari
Oh, by the way, have I seen you before?
(Y/n)
Mhm? I don't really know... I mean I'm in class 2-A.
Akari
Well, I'm in class 3-B.
(Y/n)
I had no idea you're older than me!
Akari
Haha, it's okay. I prefer to be casual.
(Y/n)
Perhaps, do you know someone called Yū?
(Y/n)
Is... something wrong?
You saw that she was blushing.
(Y/n)
I- wait, don't tell me-
Akari
Please don't tell anybody.
Akari
Anyways, I gotta go! Maybe let's eat lunch together? (Y/n) was it?
Soon, you both parted ways.
As you went in the classroom, you saw that no one was there yet.
It must've been because they're outside watching the scene outside.
You sat down, savoring the peaceful atmosphere that will soon be interrupted when your classmates will arrive.
Having nothing to do, you took out a pencil and a sheet of paper.
Drawing was one of your hobbies and one thing your good at so you decided to draw something.
(Y/n)
What should I draw...
You said as you fiddled with your pencil.
You decided to draw the first thing that came to your mind.
About a few minutes later, you heard footsteps approaching.
Your classmates came inside chattering, and of course, that included Sakusa.
(Y/n)
'Now the peace is gone...'
While staring out the window, you heard one of your classmates say something.
He said, getting people's attention.
Hikaru
Who's drawing is this? It was on the floor. Not to mention, this is really good.
He said as he was raised your drawing of Sakusa. Yes, you drew Sakusa.
You looked on your desk and saw that your drawing wasn't there anymore.
"Wow..." Your classmates said.
As you were about to take it back, some random girl stood up, interrupting you.
Sakura
That's mine! I wondered where my drawing went!
She said, pointing at the drawing which was yours.
Hikaru
This is yours? You're so good at drawing.
She rolled her eyes as he took the drawing from him.
(Y/n)
'How dare she say it's hers when it's not...'
But knowing that if you'll confront her, it'll only make a scene. So you decided to just let it pass this once.
You rolled your eyes, looking out the window.
You took a quick glance at the reflection, and saw Sakusa reading a book. He didn't seem to mind about what's happening around him at all.
Well, atleast he wouldn't know that you drew him.
Staring at him, he looked so peaceful. The sunlight hitting his face just made him look more attractive.
But you decided to look away before you might fall for him again.
Soon, the teacher arrived and class started.
It was lunchtime and like usual, Komori came to pick Sakusa up.
Soon, Akira came to your classroom as well.
You smiled as you got up.
Akari
Mhm, just call me Akari.
She said as she grabbed your hand.
Somehow, you ended up on the rooftop.
Akari
Heh? So this is the place you like.
She said as she eyed the place.
(Y/n)
The view's great here.
You said as you sat down against a wall.
As you both sat down, you started eating the sandwiches which you bought at the cafeteria.
(Y/n)
Do you have lots of friends?
(Y/n)
Like uhm... Aren't you supposed to hang out with them?
Akari
Well, they're with their 'boyfriends' eating lunch together.
(Y/n)
You don't have a boyfriend?
(Y/n)
How about Yū. Don't you like him.
You said as you took a bite of your food.
Akari
I tried to ask him out but he just... Looks hard to approach.
You couldn't tell her yet that Yū is your cousin.
Akari
Oh, and can you tell me why you hate Sakusa?
She said, trying to change the subject.
(Y/n)
Please don't tell anyone then.
Akari
Sure, you can trust me.
(Y/n)
You see... I really liked him a lot.
She choked on the tea she was drinking.
(Y/n)
So I confessed to him.
(Y/n)
...but he rejected me.
You saw her wiping the corner of her eye. You couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or not.
Akari
Sorry! It's just that I feel bad for you.
Akari
C'mon, I know everyone goes through hard times!
She playfully pushed you.
Akari
What are you gonna do? Are you gonna get revenge or something?
(Y/n)
No, why would I do that?
You said with an obvious tone.
Akari
Well, do you want to?
(Y/n)
I mean, I don't mind...
Akari
You're lucky you met me.
(Y/n)
What are you talking about?
You looked at her, confused.
Akari
I used to be their manager last year.
Akari
Yup, Boy's volleyball manager.
Akari
Which is why I can help you.
Akari
Starting from now on. Okay?
(Y/n)
In that case, I can help you get Yū too.
She looked at you with her eyes wide open.
Akari
That's perfect then!
Akari
Yup, let's make a deal.
You both shaked hands to confirm the deal.
