The Harvest

It was 19:00 hours and the surroundings were eerily quiet, having no signs of life nearby. It was getting dark and the engine of my car was also started to get heated. I saw a two-storied building in the middle of nowhere just five hundred meters ahead of my location. I thought “I guess there might be someone living there who can assist me” so I drove towards that building for shelter.

The building was good to look at from outside, and it didn’t give me any signs of being haunted as it is shown in movies since the house was so well maintained. As I approached nearer to the building I got to know that it wasn’t a house but a manor and at the entrance, there was a sign that said “Beware of the Dog”. After reaching the gate I can hear the bark of the dog and thought “This is definitely not a haunted house, no haunted house will have a dog at its gate”. The growling and the barking of the dog must have given attention to the residents of the manor. The main door opened and out came a young man in his early thirties. He looked like the butler of the manor by his appearance.

He asked me “Who are you?” “I was travelling through this road and suddenly my car’s engine broke down. After seeing this house in the middle of nowhere I thought I might get some help in fixing my car’s engine and if possible shelter for the nighttime” I replied. The butler looked at me from head to toe and vice-versa. After doing that he said “Let me ask my master” after confirming from his master he said “You can come in, and I’ll bring the car inside after you.”

Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by the family and out of my curiosity I asked the head of the family “Well, don’t you think you live quite far away from the city and having nobody around.” He replied “We opted to live outside the city. City life didn’t suit us.” The wife of the head said “Come, sir, have dinner with us.”

I was made to sit at the dining table and the food was being served by the maids of the mansion. Their child wrote something on the napkin and passed it to me via underneath the table. He wrote “Whatever happens do not take shelter in this house” and at the end there was the symbol of skull and bones which usually is a sign of death.

The head of the family said “You must be tired. Take some rest, and you can continue tomorrow” I replied “Thanks for your offer, but I cannot take it, I need to reach some place as soon as possible. I stopped here so that I can get some water to cool my car’s engine that has been overheated and some petrol for refuelling if possible as my petrol is running low” “Why not but where is your car?” asked the wife of the head. I pointed outside the window without turning and seeing and said “There” “But I don’t see any car outside the window” said the wife. After hearing her words I looked outside and indeed my car was not there where I have parked it, but I was sure that the car was right there before I started eating the dinner, but now it is gone.

I started to feel dizzy and became unconscious but before passing out I saw a glimpse of the man who was smiling along with his wife, but their child looked upset.

When I woke up or rather say after I regained consciousness, I found myself tied by the ropes on the operating table with a terrible stench filling my nose. I saw bloodstains all around the room where I was held and there were bodies hanging all around inside the room with their insides carved out with some special sharp tool. After a few minutes, I heard the footsteps of someone approaching me. When the person came near me, I recognized him as the head of the family but soon his appearance changed to something supernatural. His teeth turned into fangs, skin changed its colour from normal tone to blood-red colour same was the case with the wife of the head in addition she also grew a pair of horns on her head and both of them resembled demons whereas their child appearance changed and resembled that of an angel as he grew a pair of angelic white wings and white robe.

The head man approached me and said “Well then, now it's time for our harvest” and he sawed my limbs with a saw and his wife carved my heart out from the chest and started to nibble it.

I woke up gasping for breath and my whole body was sweating. “Was it a dream? It felt way too real” I thought. My friend said “What happened to you. You are trembling and sweating a lot?” I replied “It’s nothing” Suddenly the car started to heat up, and it was smoking the fumes “What’s the time?” asked my friend “19:00 hours” I replied. “Look there’s a building over there perhaps we can get help from there” said my friend. As we approached the building I gulped with fear as the building was identical to the one I saw in my dream.

Thirst

Jack was a person who helped others. He would never hesitate to help who wanted his help. His that attitude was appreciated by all except for one person who happened to be his former classmate, Joseph. He had a thirst for blood, as he wanted revenge on Jack for the crime, which Jack had committed but the people saved him because he helped others. The crime was grave Jack had eloped with his (Joseph’s) sister, raped and murdered her. The whole act was covered by the society and police got no evidence against Jack hence he moved in the society freely without any fear as if nothing has ever happened.

Joseph vowed to kill Jack and hide all the evidences just like Jack when he killed his (Joseph’s) younger sister. He planned how to kill Jack at what time and at what place.

Joseph started to follow Jack to everyplace he thinks he could get info about his whereabouts like office receptionist, clubs, and restaurants. He got to a conclusion that on every Thursday irrespective of any important event, Jack would go alone to meet his daughter who is in house far from the place Jack lives and it takes at-least four hours to get Jack back home by driving car at 60km/h. He made a decision to terminate Jack on Thursday when he is returning after meeting his daughter.

Everything was arranged and Joseph followed Jack to the house and when Jack reached almost halfway he was stopped by a person who was Joseph in disguise, masked with scarf and told Jack “Sir, my car engine is overheated do u have some water so that I can cool it down” Jack said with a smile “Sure why not, actually I filled the bottle as I was returning after meeting my daughter. The bottle is on the passenger seat next to driver’s seat. Wait here I bring the bottle to cool your engine.” As Jack turned after fetching the bottle Joseph smacked a hammer hard on Jack’s head resulting in instant death and to evade from police he cut himself in many places so that it may appear that he too became victim of some thieves who stole the car and money. He drove the Jack’s car to some distance dissembled it took some parts and scattered it along the pavement after every 5 kilometres or so. He got help by a passer-by who happened to see him in wounded condition, Joseph told that there is another man who was his friend and is now dead. When he reached hospital, the doctors quickly examined and treated him without any delay.’

Jack’s funeral was held after two days in church near Jack’s residence. Jack’s wife and his daughter also came. To Joseph’s horror, the wife of Jack was none other than his own sister.

Joseph trembled because he knew his sister was dead but when he called her “Mary” and she responded he was in shock. He was under the impression that his sister was murdered but on the contrary, it happened just the opposite.

Jack indeed raped and murdered a woman but that was not Joseph’s sister but some lookalike of her. Mary told Joseph how they both loved each other but a man of evil mind had murdered her husband mercilessly.

Joseph accepted his crime and he was sentenced life imprisonment. His thirst for blood and vengeance resulted in his own downfall and later his death.

The Protectors of Night

Once upon a time, in a dark and gloomy land, there lived three different creatures of the night: vampires, werewolves, and zombies. The vampires were known for their eternal beauty and their thirst for blood, the werewolves for their strength and their wild nature, and the zombies for their relentless hunger and their shambling gait.

The three creatures had coexisted in the land for centuries, each keeping to their own kind and avoiding each other at all costs. But one day, a powerful sorcerer cast a spell that caused the three creatures to become intertwined.

The vampires, who had always been immortal, began to age and weaken. The werewolves, who had always been able to control their transformations, began to shift uncontrollably. And the zombies, who had always been mindless, began to gain a semblance of intelligence.

The three creatures were horrified by the changes that had befallen them and vowed to find a way to break the spell. They set out on a journey together, traveling through treacherous lands and facing countless dangers.

Along the way, the three creatures discovered that they had much in common. The vampires learned that the werewolves had a strong sense of loyalty and family, and the werewolves learned that the vampires had a deep understanding of the world and its secrets. The Zombies discovered that both were not so different from them and they were not as mindless as they thought.

As they journeyed on, they also discovered that they had a powerful enemy: the sorcerer who had cast the spell. He was determined to keep them trapped in their new forms forever and would stop at nothing to prevent them from breaking the spell.

In the end, the three creatures were able to defeat the sorcerer and break the spell. The vampires regained their immortality, the werewolves their control, and the zombies their mindless state.

But despite their victory, the three creatures decided to stay together. They had grown to understand and appreciate each other, and they knew that they were stronger together than apart. And so, they continued to journey through the land, protecting it from all who would harm it.

The creatures had found new friends and family in each other, and this was the beginning of a new era for them, one where they could coexist in harmony and protect the land from harm. As the years passed, the three creatures continued to protect their land from any dangers that threatened it. They formed a powerful alliance, with the vampires using their wisdom and cunning to strategize, the werewolves using their strength and ferocity to fight, and the zombies using their relentless hunger to take down any enemies.

They were known as the protectors of the land, feared by many but loved and respected by the people who lived in it. They were unstoppable, and their enemies quickly learned that it was best not to cross them.

However, the peace was not meant to last forever. One day, a new enemy emerged from the shadows. It was an ancient and powerful vampire, who had been banished from the land centuries ago. He had returned with an army of his own kind, determined to reclaim the land and rule it with an iron fist.

The three creatures knew that they had to act fast to stop this new threat. They gathered their forces and prepared for battle. The vampire army was formidable, but the three creatures were not afraid. They knew that they had the advantage, as they had learned to work together and use their unique strengths to their advantage.

The battle was fierce, with both sides suffering heavy casualties. But in the end, the three creatures emerged victorious. They had saved their land once again, and the ancient vampire and his army were banished once more.

With the threat eliminated, the three creatures returned to their land, hailed as heroes by the people. They had proven once again that they were the protectors of the land and that they would do whatever it takes to keep it safe.

However, the victory was not without its costs. Many of the three creatures had lost friends and family in the battle, and they knew that it was only a matter of time before another enemy would rise to challenge them again. But they were determined to be ready for whatever came their way, for they were the protectors of the land and nothing would ever change that.

The three creatures continued to live together, protecting the land from any dangers that threatened it. They formed a powerful alliance, with the vampires using their wisdom and cunning to strategize, the werewolves using their strength and ferocity to fight, and the zombies using their relentless hunger to take down any enemies.

This was their story, of how three creatures of the night, vampires, werewolves, and zombies, came together and protected the land, and how they became known as the protectors of the land, feared by many but loved and respected by the people who lived in it.
