Cries of terror and pure agony rose like the song of a sparrow and rang through the air. Bodies laid still, blood soaking and seeping into the cracks in the earth

The soldiers were frightened by this order but knew better than to protest

The journey back to the capital was lengthy and quiet

Takeshi removed his helmet and mask revealing his face to Satomi who stared at the new Emperor and Warlord in disbelief as if expecting some old geezer

"What would his majesty want with a lowly village boy" he timidly asked

The man laughed, red orbs connected with blue ones

Upon reaching the capital people stood on the side walk sending praises to their leader, overjoyed by his return

His face returned back to his stoic expression

They safely returned to his palace, his carriage came to a stop

He climbed out waiting for his bride to be to do the same but before Satomi could climb out, he was being hoisted out my strong arms

"Welcome back master" they all greeted bowing respectfully

"This is Satomi, address him as mistress and treat him well, give him a bath and prepare dinner before nightfall"

I was confused as to what was happening, I never treated with so much care before, it seemed almost outlandish

One minute I'm being wailed on by some female villagers the nest thing I know I'm being whisked away by Emperor Takeshi

After eating food that I've never tried before and becoming bloated, he helped me to a large room with a bed instead of a futon

He dismissed it and began to undress, before my eyes could wonder I turned around peeking ever so slightly
