They are coming.
On the frost covered banks of the river, Luo Qing Shao stood wallowing in sorrow as she recalled previous events. How could she face herself? How would she face those who had once counted on her, when she returns to King Yama? On those whom she had once counted on?
She had not a single person to turn to; no one to hold, no one to turn to, no one to depend on - but she had grown strong; she doesn’t need to drag anymore innocents down with her, and she surely didn’t need anybody to hinder her in her path of revenge.
They were coming for her and she had nowhere to hide... so she won’t; she won’t run any longer - she will fight, she will fight for her honour and she will fight for those who have lost their honour at the hands of those people.
Life as she knew it would change; there would be no more running; there will be either death...or death...
But no, not death for her; death for those who wish for her death. Death for those who caused the lives of her people to perish.
Or perhaps death is too easy of an escape... maybe she should hurt them the way they hurt her, but no that wouldn’t do at all; she should make them hurt worse than she did.
Her attention was dragged away from the depths of the icy waters of the river as she glimpsed the view of a young faun walking alongside its mother and father; what a sweet scene it was- it reminded her of her childhood. Her innocence that was taken away from her much too early.
Flashing back to the past, she could see the moment she was first made to hold a sword by her father, the first time she plucked the strings of her family Guqin, the first time she was taught the art of medicine and the first time she was forced to put her medicinal skills to the test.
In fact it was that moment which shone the brightest; the moment where she had to force her shaking hands to remove the poison which had embedded itself into her grand-mother’s heart... but she faltered... she had hesitated and that cost her time - precious time which could never be recovered. Despite this, she had succeeded, only to have her grand-mother ripped away from her hours later.
So she will fight, she will fight until her last breath;
she, Luo Qing Shao, will fight until her imminent death; her illness would only wait so long until it decided to unite her with those residing in the palace of King Yama. None under Heaven or Earth can stop her.
Besides, as long as she keeps her head high, how will she fall?
They ask her to kneel: kneel to whom? She bows to no-one, she will never even consider the mere idea of lowering her head to her foes.
They are coming...but she is ready and waiting.
