A young man is walking towards his run-down, one room apartment as the slow autumn breeze. He also walks with a mysterious box that he holds on his right hand.The expression from his face can be read by others. He look dissapointed with himself because he just got fired, his girlfriend just dumped for another rich man. Certainly, the world is toying with him right now.

" What a day. *sigh*. I cannot believe this happened in one day." Yamano talked to himself.

As he walks, a ball slowly hits his work shoes. Apparently, there are four kids playing soccer at the field.

" Excuse me, mister. Can you pass the ball to us??" one of the boys asked Yamano politely.

Yamano put his left leg on the ball and suddenly, he stomps the ball and it becomes flat.

" Dude. What the heck?!?!" one of the boys angry at Yamano.

" That's my ball that you smashed." the kids dissapointed.

Suddenly, Yamano said...

" That ball look so worn out. If you continue to use it when playing soccer, the ball will explode. Here, take all of my money. Go buy a new one." Yamano gave his money to the kids.

They took the money handed by Yamano. The money is too much for all them.

" But, mister. This is too much even for all of us." the kid said.

" You guys look like close friend. How about this. After you buy the new soccer ball, split the money so all of you got equal shares." Yamano told them.

They hesitated to take the money.

" Our parents told us that you can't take something given by strangers." one of the kids said.

" Oh, I did not know about that. My parents didn't tell me about this because I don't have parents. It's okay. I understand if you don't want to trust me but please take the money. I don't have to use it anymore." Yamano still want to give them money.

" I don't know. I don't think we should take your money." the kids refused Yamano's offer.

" How about this?? Did you see the apartment over there?? I lived there. Done. I already show you where I lived. Now, I want you to take the money and do whatever you want with this money. If you still think that I'm a kidnapper and your live is in danger, I want all of you to call the police and tell them to catch me in exactly 12.00 a.m. This is an easy win for all of you. Sounds good??" said Yamano.

The kid slowly take the money from Yamano.

" Good. Make sure to call the police. I will stay in my apartment because I got nowhere to go. Now, go run and don't look back." Yamano gave a warm smile.

The kids do exactly what Yamano told. They ran away and never look back. When they far away, Yamano said with slow voice.

" Cherish life, kids. You're not going to see me tonight." Yamano continue to walk to his apartment.

Few minutes later, Yamano arrived at the front door of his apartment. He took the keys from his pockets and open the door. As he entered the apartment, he put the mysterious box on the small coffee table and he went to take some showers. After refreshing his body, Yamano cooked some instant noodles. He put a bowl of instant noodle on the coffee table and turn off the lights. He sat on the floor and open the mysterious box. He use his index finger and poke the mysterious object.

" The cream is so delicious. The baker did a great job. I love this cake so much." said Yamano..

That mysterious object is his birthday cake. Yamano took four candle and put it on the cake. After lighting the candle up, Yamano slowly smiled when he look at the birthday cake. Yamano look like a kid that cannot wait to blow the candle. He closed his eyes and he wished....

...I really wish that I have a family to live with. I want them to have fun with me when I'm happy. I want them to comfort me when I'm sad. If I have a family, I will never be alone anymore. I will hug them and tell them that I love them with all my heart just so I can feel the empty hole inside my heart."...

Yamano blew the candle off and suddenly, he said.

..." Well, reality can be cruel sometimes."...

Tears starting to flow from Yamano's eyes. He teied to hold the tears back but he cannot. He don't have the strength to wipe it from his eyes.

[ 11:45 p.m, Yamano's apartment ]

Yamano fell asleep after he cried too much.He barely touched the cake. Yamano took the remote control under the coffee table and turn it on. On the television, it is normal for weird advertisements to show up on the screen in the middle of the night.

Without questioning himself, Yamano dialled the number. It shows how desperate Yamano want a family so he can never be alone anymore. Someone's answering.

" Thank for calling us, Mr. Yamano Yusuri. We're been expecting you." the caller said.

" Yes. I saw the advertisement on the television. Wait?? How did you know my name?? This is the first time I call you." Yamano said.

" Stay calm. The Coordinators will come and pick you up." the caller replied.

" Wait!! What are you talking about?? Don't put the phone.." Yamano desperate.

The receptionist put the phone down. Yamano felt sad. It's just a hopeless dream.

" Well, I'm going to die a loner now." Yamano said.

Suddenly, a beeping sound echoes. Yamano felt weird

" What is that sound?? It's coming from the walls." Yamano tracked the sounds.

The beeping sound is getting louder and faster.

" An explosive??" Yamano quickly jumped out of the way.

The wall exploded. A whole team of soldiers "swatting" Yamano's apartment.

" GO. GO. GO. SECURE THE PERIMETER!!!" One of the soldier shouted.

" I didn't know that the kids calling soldiers. Now, I'm dead." Yamano said.

Suddenly, a mysterious person walks out from the dust. He points a gun on Yamano.

" I sorry. I had to do this." The mysterious said.

He shot a bullet of tranquilizer on Yamano's neck. Yamano can't avoid the bullet because it's too fast. Yamano is losing consciousness.

" Who are...you??" Yamano asked.

" Let's just say, I'm the boss." the mysterious man replied.

Yamano finally collapsed. The mysterious man shouted.

"Take him to the chopper. He's a valuable asset for all of us. We're going to take him to the place where he should belong." the man shouted.

" YES, SIR!!!" the soldiers shouted.

One of the soldier called the leader of the operation.

" Captain Lensz, you really need to see this." the soldier said.

" Lead the way, my soldier." said Captain Lensz said.

The soldier took Captain Lensz to Yamano's room. When he entered the room, both of them are shocked because they saw a chair and a noose hanging on the ceiling fan.

" Good thing we're not too late or else, this whole operation is a failure." said Captain Lensz.

" We should go now, Captain. The local authorities are on their way." the soldier said.

The so called " Captain Lensz " grabbed a walkie-talkie and said.

" All Coordinators, move out." said Captain Lensz.

The soldier and Captain Lensz ran and entered the same helicopter Yamano is in. Their helicopters flew away from Yamano's apartment. Suddenly, the helicopter shot an energy blast. The energy blast suddenly opens a portal. All of the helicopters entered the portal. Few minutes later, the local policeman arrived to catch Yamano but Yamano is nowhere to be seen.

...What will Yamano face after this?? One thing for sure, he will embark a journey of self-redemption as he learn the meaning of life....with someone that will give her heart to Yamano. Who is she?? She is the one that will shower Yamano with love and compassion and she is the only one that can fill the hole on Yamano's heart....

Yamano slowly open his eyes as he can see Captain Lensz sitting in front of him. He remembered that he's got kidnapped by these unknown soldiers.

" Good morning, Yusuri-san." Captain Lensz said.

" Wait a minute. How can I hear you? Usually, we cannot hear people talking in helicopters." Yamano said.

" This helicopter is different from the human world's helicopter." Captain Lensz.

" Human World? This is getting weird." Yamano said.

" I've seen worse." Captain Lensz.

" So, where are you taking me? You're not going to put me in jail, right?" Yamano asked.

" Of course not. You are our VIP now. We just save you from hanging yourself on the fan. Yes, I can see a noose in your room." Darren said.

Yamano starting to close his eyes.

" So, you knew it." Yamano said.

" Yusuri-san, there still a lot of things to discover. You can't just end your life there." Captain Lensz said.

" Easy for you to say. I just got fired, my girlfriend dumped me for another rich boyfriend and already late to pay my electric bill, water bill and the rent yet I used my final paycheck to buy a cake. Look how sad it is. I'm a sad loner who lost everything and hoping for a dream that will never become true after all." Yamano sad.

" Mind if I ask you this one very question? What is your dream?" Captain Lensz asked.

" To have a family so I won't be lonely anymore. Laugh all you want. It's a pointless dream." Yamano said.

" So, it's true after all. We can continue to proceeded with our mission." Captain Lensz said.

" What mission? I'm so confused right now?" Yamano said.

" Take a look. You're going to live a happy life after this." Captain Lensz said.

When Yamano look outside, he saw a huge, beautiful, futuristic complex. At first glanced, he can see a luxurious hotel, a variety of shopping mall and an modernised office.

Yamano was amazed.

" What kind of place is this??" Yamano asked.

" This is The Headquarters. A place where human and monster-girl cooperates among themselves. They can do all sorts of activity here. In this place too, we focused on helping monster-girl to live together with human so they can live in a harmonious life." Captain Lensz said.

" Wait!! Monster-girl??" Yamano suprised.

" Yes. Monster-girl are not human. They are non-human creature despite of their looks. They look like human but they have additional body parts such as wings, animal tails, animal ears and many more." Captain Lensz said.

As the helicopters landed on the helicopter spaces, Captain Lensz opens the door and both of them walks out from the helicopter.

" Let's go. We're going to meet someone. She dying to see you. Help me find her. It's kinda hard to find her sometimes. Look for a long haired woman that wears white labcoat." Captain Lensz asked.

" Whatever you said, Captain." Yamano sarcastically said.

" There's no need for sarcasm. I have a name, you know." Captain Lensz.

As both of them searching for this "woman in a labcoat", Yamano can hear everyone whispered about him.

" Is that Yamano Yusuri. Wow, he look so handsome." One of the bystanders said.

" We finally found him after so many years." the bystanders whispered.

" Okay. Run along now but tell the others that Yamano Yusuri is here." Captain Lensz.

Suddenly, they can hear someone is calling them both.

" Both of you. Over here. Hellooooo~~~" Someone called Yamano and Captain Lensz.

Yamano turn his head around. He look everywhere for a woman in a labcoat but she nowhere to be seen. When Yamano look infront, a little girl standing infront of him. She have to raise her head high just to look at Yamano's face. Yamano slowly kneels right infront of her.

" What can I help you, little girl??" Yamano said.

The little girl suddenly caressed Yamano's cheeck.

" Oh, I really hope that it's not an insult." the little girl said in a matured voice.

Yamano was suprised as he sit on the floor.

" Woah. Woah. Woah." Yamano was suprised.

" I usually hit anyone that called me "little girl" but this is the first time you met me so, I'm going to make an exception for this." the little girl told

" That's what she said." Captain Lensz jokingly added.

" Enough, Darren. I'm going to beat you after this. Just you wait." the little girl said.

" Your name is Darren??" Yamano said.

" Yes, I totally forgot to introduce myself properly. My name is Darren Lensz. I'm a Level-3 Coordinator and may I introduce you to Dr.Sarah Lensz, one of the greatest doctor in The Headquarters." Darren said.

Yamano was suprised that both of them are related.

" So, you guys are siblings, right??" Yamano asked.

" Yes. Darren and I are siblings. Darren can be quite an idiotic little brother sometimes but he still my little brother." Sarah said.

This one really left Yamano in quite a shocking state.

" Wait. Wait. Wait. Dr.Sarah is your big sister?? How old are you, Darren??" Yamano asked.

" I'm 19 years old. Yes, I know that you're older than me but you don't want to know my big sister's age. She's so old, she can be older than your grandmother, if you have one." Darren said.

Sarah suddenly hit Darren's stomach. Sarah has small hands so Darren didn't feel anything.

" This is what you get for calling me " a grandmother", Darren-kun." Sarah hit Darren.

" Aww.. That's cute." Darren laughed at Sarah.

Yamano really can see Sarah and Darren's sibling relationship. Yamano smiled when looking at them arguing.

" Oh, I'm sorry for my little brother's idiotic quips but we really need to go now." Sarah said.

Darren grabbed his walkie-talkie and communicate with it.

" Hello. Can we get a mobile cart here? We have a VIP guest here with us." Darren said.

A few minutes later, a cart arrived with a driver. The driver took Yamano, Darren and Sarah to the main entrance of the Headquarters. When they entered the main entrance, they saw a golden statue in the middle of the building. Yamano, Sarah and Darren walking towards the statue.

" They just put it this morning. It look so beautiful." Sarah said.

" Yamano, take a look at the wall. There's a letter in it." Darren said.

Yamano quickly read the plate.

...^^^" THIS STATUE IS DEDICATED TO OUR BELOVED HERO, YAMANO YUSURI, FOR PROTECTING MONSTER-GIRL RACES FROM THE EVIL ORDER. MAY GOD BLESSED HIS ANGELIC SOULS" ^^^...

Yamano was suprised. His name is on the wall.

" My name?? How can my name written in this wall??" Yamano asked.

" Didn't you remember anything about " The Mamono Village incident"?? You are a hero back then. You really did a number on the evil Order. You're the only one that able to make The Order retreated to their fortress." Darren said.

" You said it like I have a past life in this dimension. I ensure you, this is all a mistake. This isn't me. I'm no hero. Just a sympathetic loser." Yamano said.

Sarah suddenly whispered something to Darren.

" Woah, he's totally forgot about all of this. We need to reunite him with you know who. That might jog his memory." Sarah said.

" She's better be ready." Darren replied.

" What are you guys talking about??" Yamano asked.

" Nothing. Don't mind us." Sarah said.

" Come on, let's go to your very own room." Darren cut the conversation.

Darren and Sarah escorting Yamano to the hotel section of the Headquarters.

" Here we are. Your very own hotel room." Sarah said.

Sarah opens the door. When Yamano look at his room, he didn't think that his room has a large space and modern interior designs. They got everything in there.

" Wait. You can fit an entire house in this room.This is too expensive for me. Darren, you know that I don't have enough money for all of this." Yamano said.

" This room is yours. Make yourself at home. Don't worry, this is a gift from us to you." Sarah said.

Yamano slowly smiled as he got a new home to stay but he need to adjust slowly because he needs time to make himself at home.

" That's the smile. We probably should go now. Make yourself at home but meet me tomorrow at the food court." Sarah said.

" I don't know what to say. Thank you for giving me a new home. Darren, I'm glad that you saved my life." Yamano said.

" It's okay, Yamano-kun. Go get some rest. You need it." Darren said.

" Let's go, Darren-chan." Sarah teased Darren.

" Stop calling me that." Darren mad.

" You know that I won't stop teasing you, right??" Sarah hold Darren's hand.

Both of them walked away from Yamano's room. Yamano closed the door slowly and walked around the room. He entered a leisure room where he saw a free-for-all vending machine, three arcade machine, a massage chair, a gaming laptop and so much more.

" Wait, I know that I love to play games but for me, this is too much." Yamano said.

When he entered the bathroom, he can see a large bathtub, a temperature-control shower and many more.

" There's no need for a bathtub. One shower is enough for me." Yamano said.

Then, Yamano walked towards the bedroom, he saw a large closet. There's a lot of cloth for Yamano but he noticed half of the closet is empty. Yamano turn his attention to the bed. He noticed that the bed is a queen size bed with two pillow and one huge blankets.

" And again, this is too much for me." Yamano sighed.

Finally, Yamano undressed himself so he can take a shower. After that, he wore a bath robe and went to the vending machine. There's a variety of food, snacks and drinks in there. Yamano has to push the button of what he wants to eat. Among all the delicious food, he chose a loaf of potato bread that he loves to eat.

He ate it in front of the huge television but didn't turn it on. Yamano loves the quiet surroundings.

He finally laid down on the bed and try to close his eyes.

" There's still hope after all. Thank for this opportunity."

Finally, Yamano close his eyes and entered the world of dreams.

When Yamano was a teenager, he used to live in an orphanage in Mamono village. That orphanage is on top of the hill. Yamano didn't know how he got in the orphanage in the first place.

Yamano is still asleep in his room. The young succubus continue to knock the door. Suddenly, the knocking sound dissapear.

Maybe that young succubus give up?? Maybe not??

" Finally. A peaceful time...to continue sleeping." Yamano closed.

When Yamano closed his eyes, the succubus floated on top of Yamano. Suddenly, she fall on top of him, waking Yamano up.

" GOT YOU, YAMANO-NIICHAN!!!" The succubus cheered.

Obviously, Yamano is the one who got hurt here. That sudden impact able to suprise Yamano.

" Dang it, Hikari-chan. You almost gave me a heart attack." said Yamano.

" Come on, Onii-chan. You're the only one who didn't wake up. Everyone is worried about you." Hikari replied.

" There's nothing to worry about me. I'm fine. Let's go eat some breakfast." Yamano slowly stand.

As he walked towards the door, Hikari just stood there. Yamano asked her if she is alright.

" Hikari-chan, are you alright??" asked Yamano.

" Hikari woke Yamano-niichan up. Maybe Hikari-chan can get some headpats from Onii-chan" Hikari asked for a headpats.

" Alright, come here." Yamano called Hikari.

Hikari felt excited and walking towards Yamano. Yamano headpatting Hikari as she blushed red.

" There. There. You are a good girl, Hikari-chan." Yamano headpatted Hikari.

Yamano noticed that Hikari smiled. The blonde, petite Succubus makes Yamano smiled too.After that, Yamano and Hikari went to the dining hall where everyone is waiting for them. A lot of monster-girl orphans are having breakfast but when they saw Yamano, they quickly surrounds Yamano.

" Yamano-niichan!!" All of the monster-girl running towards Yamano.

Yamano felt dizzy because he must hear each one of them are trying to say.

" Onii-chan, play with me, please.."

" Onii-chan, look. I able to solve this puzzle that you bought for me."

" Give us headpats, Yamano-niichan."

" It's not fair. Hikari got to spent more time with Onii-chan."

" Why me??" Hikari replied.

Suddenly, the only adult figure walk by past them. It's the orphanage caretaker. She is monster-girl too. A Holstaur monster-girl named Lumina.

" All of you, stop it. Your big brother want to eat breakfast." said Lumina.

All of them gave Yamano some spaces.

" Alright, Mama Lumina." all of them heard what Lumina said

Lumina is the mother-figure in this orphanage. They even scared of Lumina because of her high level of politeness.

" Oh, Yamano-kun. I have a few errands for you. I need you to go to the grocery store. Go buy some some meat and vegetables." Lumina asked.

" Sure. I got nothing to do today." Yamano agreed.

" Mama, can I go with Yamano-niichan??" Hikari asked.

" No. It's your turn to do the laundry." Lumina patted Hikari.

" Awww..." Hikari dissapointed.

After Yamano finishing his breakfast, he went to buy the groceries that Lumina requested. In this journey, he didn't know that he will find someone that will change his life forever.
