PROLOGUE_____

"I was an awful person."

Well that's an understatement.

I almost killed someone.

I've tried drugs.

I smoked weeds.

I can't talk without cussing.

I robbed people after hurting them.

Violence was my favorite game.

I wasn't a gangster or any of those sh*ts. I was just a rebel, I was a trashy shitty a$$.hole kind of person.

I was that. I really was but that was until I met that stupid annoying irritating eyesore abnormal ugly mushroom freak girl.

 She's kind.

She's honest.

She's cute. (Wait, no)

She's gullible.

She's forgiving.

She's humble.

She's an angel.

I mean literally, she is.

She's the antonym of me.

She said she fell from heaven...

And I ended up falling for her.

An angel who changed my whole life and beliefs...

But where are you now my guardian angel? I miss you.

CHAPTER 1______

"Don't! That's enough, Ow! Ah! That's enough! Ow! Ugh!"

"Huh? What are you? Are you saying something?" he kicked in the side the man who was lying on the floor already soiled with his own blood.

"T-that's right Eros ..."

"HA? WHAT? WHAT DID YOU SAY?" he bent down a bit and put his hand across his ear and pretended to want to hear what he said.

"Please Eros ... I'm begging you," the poor guy reached for his right leg pathetically as he pleaded with tears but Eros just shoved the poor guy's hands away, "That's my whole allowance for this month ..."

"And so?" Eros said with a bored tone.

"If you take that from me, I don't know where to get money to pay my needs in a whole month. I'd starve to death! My dad won't give it to me anymore, so please Eros ... have mercy oh. "

"Awww ... is that so?" he bent down and stretched his wallet closer to her and just handed it back to the man he was oppressing.

"T-thanks Eros!" he was still crying when he reached for his wallet but he still did not let go of it so he tried to pull it from his hand, "E-eros?"

"You're welcome ... not." he flashed his devilish grin and then he kicked it in the chest and as a result it was released from its wallet and laid on the floor again.

"Oops, I did not mean it. Got your hopes too high didn't you? BWAHAHAHAHA." >: D

With gritted teeth, he glared at Eros as if killing him mentally because he can't do it physically knowing his situation.

Eros waved his hand in the air, dismissing the poor guy, "I'm going, not interested in you anymore. Tell your daddy someone robbed you so he might give you another allowance."

He turned around and started walking away but just a few steps away he stopped again and faced the poor man, "Tell him I did this to you, I'd be back to hunt you down. Now, you don't want your body missing don't you? "

The poor guy shuddered after hearing what he said. Eros just laughed at him and left the abandoned building where he dragged the man to beat and rob.

He was actually sort of a criminal, he wasn't even a minor anymore. He was 18 and he could really have been thrown in jail if he got caught but because he was doing those dirty things for years and with some much more experienced people in his peers back then to teach him how to deal with escaping and hiding he always got away with the law. He did not kill but he has beaten so many people that they almost killed the damages they sustained. But really, killing wasn't a problem to him. He didn't fear anything, he didn't care for anything. He just hated everything and he thought that was enough of a reason to do those bad things...

"Hooo! That as*hole had a lot of money! Yeahh! I’m rich!" he was happily walking in an alley while stealing the contents of his wallet when he stole it.

"Wooow really, how much?" * U *

"4 thousand maybe more, sh*t! I have lots of money of my cigarettes, hooo!" he was still happy with the amount of money he was holding in his hand.

"Whoa ~ there really are lots of it! What are you going to do with it?" * O *

"Ughh what else, to buy cigars bruh, then ---- AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" the woman shouted as she suddenly shouted.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Eros shouted again.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" the woman shouted again, this time she closed her eyes and covered her ears.

"Sh*t! Stop shouting!" Eros finally recovered from the shock and was able to silence the woman by shouting. He just shouted because he was so shocked by the woman's presence, because he was counting money and he did not realize that he was talking to someone and someone was following him. He did not realize the presence of this woman in front of him.

"You shouted first, I just imitated." * pouts *

"Hey who are you!"

"I'm Eris Jane Trinidad, you can call me Eris." then she squealed , "And I'm your guardian angel! Hooray!" * claps claps *

He gave her the "WTF" look.

"I'd really like to beat the hell out of you," he really did not mind beating girls, he beat anyone anything, "But I think it's just a waste of time to beat a mental fugitive like you."

"I don't know if I should be offended by what you said you wanted to beat me or in the part where you told me to run away mentally. Fuuui ~" * pouts *

"Look kid," since he wasn't in the mood he just decided to hand her some coins and turn his back on her afterwards, "20 pesos, buy mazapan before I hit you."

When he put the money in his palm he turned around and walked away but he was surprised when the woman called him suddenly appeared in his name.

"Eros, wait! Yoo-hoo, Eros Magdayo, wait for meeeeeeeeehhh!" he asked, how the heck did she know his name? But even before he turned to face the woman he felt the hands suddenly hug his neck and legs curled around his waist and if he had not been very alert he might have been off balance in his sudden jump and hanging behind him.

"YEHEY! PIGGY BACK RIDE! GO HORSEEEYYY GOOOO! WEEEE!"

Piggy back ride? Horsey? She was really out of her mind! That is what Eros said in his mind then.

"Hey get off me you freak! Get off!" he tried to remove the woman behind him but it even beat the lice if it clung to his back.

"No!I don’t want to! I want a piggy back ride!!! Easy horsey dorsey!"

"Hey you! Get the fck off me or you'll really get what you're asking!"

"Get what I'm asking? You mean you're going to give me my piggy back ride? Yeeeeeeeeeeyy!!!”

He just face-palmed , that's not what he meant to "she'll get what she's asking", what she meant about that is he'll really break her bones if she was to continue to ride on him but he should have known better that they have a completely different way of thinking. If he was to think violence, gore and negative stuff, she was to think of positive and all those marshmallow and rainbow sh*ts.

He was a little annoyed that the mad woman suddenly jumped behind him so he overtook her at her feet and threw her down on the cement.

"Ouchhhh!!! Bad horsey!" it complains as it caresses the injured lower part of the body.

"Hey you're annoying! I warned you so don't cry when I break your bones!" he was ready to kick her while she was still slumping on the floor but...

"H-ha? Ugh! What's going on?" he kept on pushing his right foot that hung in midair, it stopped before his foot could even get near her body. He didn't know why he wasn't able to make his foot move up to her body to kick her, he tried but to no avail. It's like there was an invisible shield that was protecting her.

So he grabbed her by her white dress's collar and he was about to punch her face but like what happened to her foot, his hand stopped before he was able to reach her face, "WHAT THE FCK? !!!"

"Ahihihihihihihihihihihihi ~" * giggles *

He was taken aback when she giggled, "Hey are you laughing there? The f*ck, are you a witch? Why do my hands and feet stop spontaneously? Why can't I punch or even kick you? What are you doing? What evil spirit are you? Are you a devil?!!! "

She frowned, "I'm an angel. God is protecting me, you and other people can't hurt me physically while I'm on a mission."

"Aside from mentioning a word such God, the next thing that's funny is the mission thing. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" he swore he thought she had some mental issues.

"What is so funny about God?" she looked hurt.

"That it does not exist." he said sounding bored to the topic. He did not believe in a God, if he did he should've not done those dirty stuff in the first place.

She sighed, "I'm sad ... I think my mission is even harder than I thought."

"The fck is that mission you're talking about? Can you just keep quiet? I'm already full of you crazy, if you don't shut your big mouth and if you don't leave me alone after I let go of you, "he was still holding her by the collar of her dress," I'd really KILL you and even if I can't punch nor kick you I'd still find a way to beat you until every bones in your body break and I'll make sure you'll be dead by tomorrow! "

"Dead?"

"Yes, YOU'LL BE DEAD." that wasn't a threat, he was serious he'd kill her because he was really getting irritated for the reason that he couldn't figure out why he wasn't able to punch nor kick her. He didn't believe her reason that a God was shielding her.

"Dead?"

"Are you deaf? Or do you just really need to repeat what I said?" over time the level of Eros' annoyance with the woman in front of him increased.

"I don't know if that's possible since I already died."

Eros did not believe what the woman said and he just said it in his mind,

"She died? Oh right, she said she's an angel. Yeah, yeah, tell that to a monkey."

end of Prologue and Chapter 1

"Dead?"

"Yes, you'll be dead!"

"Dead?"

"Are you deaf or do you just really need to repeat what I said?"

"I don't know if that's possible since I already died." she said those words as if telling him he answered 3 to a 1 + 1 question.

"Look," Eros grabbed the woman on both shoulders, almost losing his patience which he actually only had a few, "I don't know what kind of drugs you inhaled or who hit your head hard against a wall but one I can only tell you, leave me alone or just jump in the building. Okay? "

He was about to turn around to completely get the hell out of her company but suddenly he grabbed his t-shirt from behind stopping him, "Wait, wait! Believe me oh! I'm your guardian angel!"

"You're really pissing me off, I'm a f*cking devil so there's no way in this f*cking world that you're my guardian angel. A devil can't have an angel, understood?"

It just shook as she bit her lower lip, Eros thought she looked like a ten year old in the body of a 17-18year old girl. She was small compared to his height, up to his shoulder, "You're not a devil and I won't let you be one. It's my mission to save you."

"The f*ck is with this mission? You've been mentioning it for so many f*cking times."

He noticed that she flinched every time he said the "f*ck" word or any cuss words like those words gonna bring any harm to her. It's just some cussing. Psh. Eros thought irritated.

"Change you, make you believe that God do exist and He will always be there for you, put love in your heart, make you a person full of happiness and warmth in his heart." he grabbed her shirt again, this time at the hem and she gripped it tightly as it bent, "Please help me to accomplish this mission, this is not only for you but also for me."

He was confused.

"If ever I succeed in this mission, God will give me back the life I've lost and I really do want to live again so please ..."

"Nahh, I don't care." he violently removed his hand from the hem of his t-shirt and this time he walked away from the woman, he thinks because the more he stayed the more invented stories of that woman.

"Change me? Make me believe there's a God? Put love in my heart? Make me a person full of happiness and warmth in his heart? HA! Best joke ever, it’s like you also said that Hitler was a good man!" he can't help saying those in his mind.

"Eros!" he heard the woman calling him by his name but he just kept on ignoring her, he didn't like wasting his precious time on a madman like that woman but he just really wondered how she knew his name, stalker? Creepy one, he thought.

"I can grant you a wish! Anything you wish for, you could wish for anything based on the amount of the goodness you will be able to obtain in your heart!"

"Anything?" he did not know but he suddenly stopped walking and got interested in that crazy topic.

"Yeah ..."

"So can I wish to have superpowers and laser beams or maybe x-ray visions?" he said sarcastically and the woman just looked at him with disbelief so he waved his hands and said. "Yeah, yeah whatever, I'm going and don't bother me again."

He felt a sense of relief when he got home around six o'clock, he just spent his day smoking and doing some stuff. Fortunately the insane girl who claimed that she was angel did not reappear for that day, he really thought she'd follow him all day long like some creepy stalker. Phew.

He didn't really go home that often, to their house. He's not part of the family living there, he was an adopted child. He didn't know where his real parents are or if they were still alive or they've immigrated to Mars but like hell he cared 'bout them. He only goes home to that house when Ate Rise is here, of all people she's the only person he didn't get angry or irritated at. He is also like Chill, his not blood-related little sister, a relative of Ate Rise. He don’t know why he felt nothing unpleasant around them, maybe he had grown this sort of attachment to them especially to Ate Rise because ever since he was a kid she already stood up as a big loving sister to him even if she knew so well that he is not really her real brother.

He was trying his best to go home to that house more often especially those days, why? For Ate Rise, he wanted to see her more ... she was actually dying. She just got out of the hospital and does not want to go back there despite her very sick state. Doctors say it will only last a little while in this world, less than a month.

Maybe that's one of the reasons why he did not believe in a God.

"If that God does exist, why must he take the only person I care for in this world? He must know very well that my life is already full of hate and if I lose Ate Rise then I must say that my life would not just be full of hate, but it'll be OVERFLOWING. “He thought.

??? "Dashing through the snow with a one horse open sleigh, open the fields we go laughing all the way! Bells on bob tails ring, making spirits bright. What fun is it to laugh and sing? A sleighing song tonight.”???

Eros' ears tingled when he heard someone singing outside their house, he was in a room and changing t-shirts. Tf? Christmas and New Year are over, is anyone still rolling? It's the 2nd week of January!

"WHAT THE H*LL, DON'T YOU HAVE A CALENDAR IN YOUR HOUSE?! TF, IT’S JANUARY! THE HELLS WRONG WITH YOU?! YOU WANNA DIE?! from the window of his room he shouted that to whoever was rolling, he did not take time to see the face of the poor rolling.

It was quiet for a while but suddenly whoever hit that ground sang again.

??? "Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells

Jingle all the way

Oh, what fun it is to ride

In a one horse open sleigh

SON OF A?!!!

To Eros' annoyance, he stormed his way down to the gate of the house, picking a big stone as he passed the house's garden, with the stone in hand he warned the rolling man, "All right, sing more, this stone will replace it on your vocal chords. "

"Hi Eros!" ^ __________ ^ V

"You again? How did you --- are you some sort of rare mushroom species? Just keep popping anywhere? Are you stalking me you crazy girl?!!!”

"I'm not a mushroom," she pouted, "Hey Eros, can I come in? Please?" *puppy eyes *

"You know what, I've had enough of you and your insanity, so let's test that f*cking protection thing you said before," he will really throw the stone at the woman in his annoyance and also because he wants to hurt and slap the woman. He didn't really have the best temper in the world.

"Eros?" he could really throw the stone in case he stopped and immediately released the stone on the floor when he heard the familiar voice mention his name.

"A-ate Rise?" he immediately turned around and saw his sister just coming out of the door of the house and going to him at the gate. He guessed she did not see his attempt of ruining the crazy girl's vocal chords.

"Is anyone caroling? It's already January right? ... anyway, these are the coins oh ..." Ate Rise approached the mad girl at the gate with the coins in her hand.

She smiled at the insane girl, "Hi, are you the one caroling?"

"Hello Eros' sister!" ^ _________ ^

"Wow, you know me? You know Eros?" Ate Rise was a bit shocked and even Eros was shocked...

Aside from knowing his name, he also knows his sister's name. Tf?  He said in surprise.

"Yup!" ^ ___ ^

Ate Rise smiled knowingly, "Are you a friend of my little brother? And you're teasing him by pretending to be in front of his house?"

Friend? Like he was going to be friends with an insane girl!

The mad woman did not answer and she just looked at Eros as if asking him what he would answer. Ate Rise noticed that and turned her gaze to Eros and repeated the question to her, "Is she your friend? I'd really be glad to meet one of your friends, you have never introduced anyone to me."

She looked so hopeful that it pained him to even say no to her. He knew how much Ate Risa wanted to know things about him because they were really that close to each other kaso he suddenly became distant a lot of years ago and he thought that she missed those times where he told her stuff about him. And having to meet a friend of his seemed to make her happy so yeah...

"Uhh ... yeah, she's my friend." he scratched the back of his head trying not to show his annoyance.

"Yey! Girlfriend!" Ate Rise clapped her hands in delight.

Her eyes widened, "Hey she's not my girlfriend,I said she's a friend!"

"Well, she's a girl isn't she? And she's a friend? Then ... Girl + friend equals girlfriend?" he knew she was teasing him, she loved to do that. And she was eager to push him to get himself a girlfriend for reals, well she had always told him that she'd want to meet the girl he'd love someday. What a sappy sister, really, he thought. He was just sad to say she won't meet that girl 'coz he won't ever fall in love, love is not in his dictionary. Blood and violence was what he was made for.

"Ate." he just greeted his sister.

He tapped her on the shoulder as she laughed, "Oh c'mon Eros, won't you let your girlfriend in?" * U *

"She’s not my girlfriend," Ate Rise rolled her eyes when she repeated those words, of mad dogs on the road so HE WILL NEVER ENTER THE HOUSE. 

He emphasized those last words. He did not want to let the crazy woman into the house because first of all, HE DIDN'T REALLY KNOW HER, SHE'S A F*CKING INSANE STRANGER, and secondly, he did not have time to deal with her while she was inside the house. She's not very welcome. -_______-

"Gosh, it looks like that, just take him home!"

If he didn't care that much about Ate Rise, he might have beaten her with annoyance, his awkwardness was annoying, he was very persistent in letting that crazy woman in the gate inside the house!

"But Ate Rise ..." he was trying to think of excuses to prevent her sister from letting the crazy girl in but she suddenly ignored him and opened the gate, letting the crazy girl in.

"Come in, come quickly, don't be shy," Ate Rise pulled the mad woman by the arm, "What's your name?"

"Eris." ^ __ ^

"Wow! How cute! Eris is your name? Then Eros is the name of my little brother?" she eyed him with a glint in her eyes, "Aren't you guys soul mates? Oh sweet things!" (? u?)

"ATE RISE!!!" wt?! Thank him he is important to Eros. -____-

"Ahihihi." he glared at that Eris girl when he heard her giggle. Will he laugh? He will really attack it once Ate Risa turns her back. -___-

"You want some juice, Eris? Come on, let's go inside. Hey Eros, please prepare some juice and snacks for your girlfriend." and with that they entered the house first.

"Not my f*cking girlfriend." He repeated in his mind, he just can't argue with his big sis anymore. -__-

Annoyed, he kicked the wall next to the gate. If only he didn't care for his big sister, if only she was not dying, if only she was not happy seeing a friend even if that Eris girl wasn't really a friend of his, he wouldn't even let that crazy girl in. He was only doing this' coz it's what makes his big sis a bit happier after all those depressing things that her sickness has caused and was causing her.

His foster parents and Ate Rise knew he was a rebel and they have had already experienced cops entering the house searching for him and the such, they knew what illegal stuff he was doing and they had tried to scold, warn and talk to him but to no avail. His foster parents had given up on him, they don't care anymore what he did but Ate Rise she still kept on encouraging him to stop the things he was doing.

His big sister was a good person, no wonder he was not blood related to her, she's someone he'll never be. She's full of love and hope in her heart and his was just an empty bloody one.

She always hoped that one day he will be able to see life in a brighter and positive way. She has always told him that he could but he have always denied her hopes.

"Eros, can you give me some more juice? Please?" * U *

She would have liked to take cold water and throw it in it, how dare her order him around? He was really thankful and his sister Rise was in front of him, he was trying his best just to control his temper. He didn't want to upset ate Rise, he saw that she was happy to talk with Eris and she was already liking her. Just his luck, oh f*cking great!

"Yeah," that's all what he said and he took his glass and went back to the kitchen to make her another juice.

"Can I put poison in it? We don't have poison but I can probably put soap on the dish of her juice for instant kill. Nahh, Ate Rise will surely be angry if I do that to that Eris girl and anger might put Ate Rise’s health in a bad condition. I'd kill myself if she dies because of me. I care for my big sis that much. “-__- he said to himself as he prepares another juice.

"Ahihihi!" he heard their laughter in the living room while he was in the kitchen, he peeked a little and he saw Ate Rise laughing at Eris as they talked.

Ate Rise’s smile ... one of the soothing things he has ever seen in his life. Her smiles have been always genuine and never fake, he would have surely miss those if she left them. So as long as she was there, he'd do anything just to see those smiles even if that crazy Eris pretended to be his friend, he really didn't care as long as he could just make Ate Risa happy.

He really wished her illness was just a big joke, he didn't want her to die. She was too good to die, the fvck is wrong with this world? Why are the good people dying first instead of the bad people like him?

He really didn't want her to die ... He would've done anything just to save her from death, anything...

"I can grant you a wish! Anything you wish for, you could wish for anything based on the amount of the goodness you will be able to obtain in your heart!"

He doesn't know why the words that crazy Eris suddenly played in his brain that morning ... it was as if he accidentally repeated it in his brain and the funny thing about it was that it matched what he was thinking ... it looks like this answer to what he wants to happen ...

He then thought,

"If she's really true, if she's really an angel who can grant me a wish, I'd be willing to get a f*cking amount of goodness just to save Ate Rise."

Back then he has not yet realized that that day was the day he started believing in angels.
