Subjects always went in to ENergon Testing Lab, never to come out. One of those subjects was Grayson, soon to be named Subject 404. He didn’t go in alone, however. He had unknowingly brought in his little sister, Remi. But how did he bring her in unknowingly? Let’s go back in time. It’ll be easier to understand.

It started off a normal day. Well\- Normal for the two of them. Early in the morning, Remi had transformed into the form of a cat; as usual. Something she did every day. She was a shapeshifter, and could take on three forms at the moment. Technically four. She could become a cat, a griffin, a human, and a human with cat ears and claws like a griffin. Grayson had made himself a cup of coffee, before getting dressed for the day. He worked as a barista at a nearby coffee shop. He had just finished getting dressed when he heard it. There was a knock on the door. He didn’t respond at first. He quickly and quietly hurried to go find his little sister. Once he did, he quickly put her in his jacket pocket and hurried to a nearby exit. Once he got to the window, he heard a loud voice telling him to come out, or else. He paused out of fear. He quickly resumed to make his way out. The seventeen year old was about halfway out the window before he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head, and everything went dark.

Now back to the present! Grayson was carelessly tossed into Cell 5. He was alone. Until he remembered Remi was still in his pocket. He looked around and realized no one was around anymore, so he told her it was okay for her to come out. She quickly scurried outside of his denim jacket and curled up in his lap. She was shaking. Not because she was cold, but because she was scared. She had been conscious and aware the whole time as her older brother was knocked out, thrown into a van, and taken miles and miles away to a lab, disguised as a mental institute. Grayson held out his left hand to the metal door, about to blast it. He had the ability to manipulate lightning. However, he was only able to do it with his left hand. He realized he had a metal glove attached to his hand, which on the inside had a soft blue glow to it. It was keeping him from using his power. He stood up, leaving Remi on one of the two beds. He ran up to the door and the bars, and began hitting them as hard as he could. He soon realized he wasn’t doing anything to it, and dropped back into the floor. It was hopeless. They were trapped. For how long? They had no idea. All they knew was that they were stuck in a cold, dark cell. Why? They had absolutely no clue.
