I look up at the two figure facing me. Their face was stretched into cruel expressions.

There was a momentary silence, it was as if both was taken aback by the sudden question.
It took a second before Erin opened her mouth.

However, it felt real. I muster great effort to open my eyes, but I couldn't. It was like my body was refusing to obey my will.
Nonetheless, it was futile as swirling numbness assaulted my flesh, pulling me once again towards a ride to darkness.

"Noooo, don't eat me! I am not tasty at all!"
I shouted in panic, my body moved back in reflex. My heart was beating fast.
A loud thump on the floor, quickly made my shivering body stop as the 'beast' was gone -as if equally shocked- in an instant.
My gaze locked at a figure with a plate of fruits on his hand.
His head was hanging down while his voice sounded low.
I pointed at the floor, still apprehensive from the sudden alarm of staring at a pair of big round eyes of a beast.
I swallowed hard, trying to clear my throat, yet before I could finish speaking, the man glanced beneath the bed. With a neutral expression, he uttured,
Atticus
"Twitchy, come here."
After a second a big turtle slowly crawled from the floor.
It's familiar cold blooded appearance made my cheeks burned in embarrassment.
Verona
"Turns out, it's your pet..."
Still the man never answered, with his head still lowered, he put the fruit at the foot of the bed and patiently waits for the turtle to reach him before he walks out of the door.
I let out a sigh of relief.
I thought I was going to die from being eaten!
