I was supposed to go home today. I was supposed to bring back my mom's favorite vegetable and had a great dinner with her. Now, I'm tied up to a pole while others dance around me in the rain. And no, It's not kinky at all. They are all saying some weird thing like "O Gods! Please use this pure woman as a sacrifice, and protect our land!" The hell?!?! Am I some kind of sacrifice?? I hear a loud boom followed by laughter. It's a man's laughter. "This woman you speak of better be pure or else- oh?" Shit! He is looking at me. This man that just came down from the sky has the most beautiful blue eyes. It's almost like the actual sky is in both of his eyes. He has this magnificent blonde hair that flows down to his waist. I look at him with pleading eyes, hoping he isn't going to kill me. "Well Isn't this one a beauty? I think I'll keep her for myself." said the god. This hot liquid is flowing down my face and I don't know if it's happy tears, or just the fact that I could have died. "Aww, she is even cute when she cries" I'm not complaining since this "god" was supposed to kill me, and now he is saving me, but he has some weird fetish.”Thank you for sparing me, now, mind letting me go see my mother??” I had to ask. Poor mom. She is probably worried sick. “Haha, This one is funny! She thinks she can leave me now! hah hah!” The cult is also laughing. You can tell they are only laughing because they don’t want to upset their “god”. “Take her lord! We don’t need her!” All of a sudden there was a flash of light so bright I thought I was going to go blind. Ack! The dry dirt hit my legs as I fell from the pole I was tied to. I’m sorry mom, I’ll find a way to go back to you… I look up at the god holding me bridal style, and say “Let’s go. I’ll follow you since you are a god after all.” The god was pretty surprised to hear this from me, but chuckles a little. “Haha I’m starting to like you even more….uhhh what is your name little earthling?” the god asks. “I’m Edel, and it looks like I will be at your service for a while.” And with those words, my whole world went black. This is one of the weirdest feelings I have ever had. I feel tingling all over my body, and my eyes are most definitely open, but as I look around, It’s almost like they are closed. Then, another bright light, just like the one that cut me loose from the pole. I let my eyes adjust and- WOAH! Before me is a giant castle about the size of the Malbork Castle. I feel like there should be angels around me humming and playing harps. Did I actually die and make it to heaven? Was the god that saved me really just god bringing me to heaven? “You don’t have to act anymore, Edel. Don’t act as you have never been here before.” Has this man gone insane? From what I know, all 25 years of my life have been on Earth with my mother and little sister, and now this god creature is telling me I have been here before. “I’ll have you know that all the life I have lived on Earth and not this magnificent world.” I need to set this man straight.  “Yeah okay Edel, you could try and fool me but you're going to fail. I’ll go along with you for now, but if I suspect anything, you will have even worse punishment than before.” I’m just going to pretend he said ‘Welcome to my world Edel, make one move and I kill you.’ “So…. What’s your name big bad boss man?” I ask. “Ugh, for the 2nd time, my name is Agai and if I have to say so again you won’t like what comes for you.” Geez. This Agai dude can’t even pretend to be nice. What’s he the god of? Anger? “Haha what are you, the god of Anger?” I tried to ask without smiling but it did not work. “Yes.” Agai replied with a straight face. I could not contain my laughter with this. “What is so funny? There are all types of gods here. Some are emotion gods, some are greek, Norse, and so on. Up here, we don’t care what “religion” you come from, as long as you are a god, or here for the god-like you are, you can live here.” This answer surprised me so much I stopped laughing. I wish the Earth was this diverse. I should really stop thinking about Earth if I want to keep a straight face. If I keep thinking about Earth, I’ll think about mom. "That’s actually..really cool. I didn’t expect something like that.” “Hah, yeah. It’s better than Earth where everyone is divided, but anywho, let’s go get you to sign my contract.” Agai says as we walk into this giant palace.

While walking through this giant palace, I spot a guy walking around with a clipboard in his hands. “Hey Agai, who is that handsome guy?” I ask while pointing to him. All Agai does is roll his eyes and keep walking. The guy must have seen me point because he looks up from his clipboard, and walks over to me. “Me? I’m just Daniel, the handsome devil”. Crap, he heard me, didn’t he? Wait, did he just say devil? I thought only gods can come here. I realize he is still looking at me and I look away, flustered. “Devil?” I ask. “Yeah. I’m a devil. Someone has to keep track of the stuff going on. We wouldn’t be at peace like this if it weren't for me.” Daniel replies. “And according to a very pretty girl, I’m a devil that is handsome.” I feel like all my blood left my body and now resides in my face.

 “Hah hah! Did I make the girl blush?”

“Y-yeah..” I replied

“Well you better catch up to Agai or he will leave you behind.”

What? Ahh! He didn’t even wait for me! “Th-Thank you!” I yell as I run off to Agai.

Now that I have caught up, Agai asks “So, did you find out who the ‘handsome guy’ was?” Does he not know there is a spy in the midst? Is that why he let me talk to him? I swear I think that Daniel is cute, but he's a devil. All devils are bad, right? “Yeah, his name is Daniel and that’s all I got out of the guy. He didn’t have to say it, but I’m sure he is a player.” Agai actually laughed at this. This big oaf can laugh? I don’t need to know him for long to know that he doesn’t laugh on a daily basis. “Daniel sure is popular with the ladies!” Agai says. After a few moments of silent walking, we come to a room that has a door sign reading “Agai”. Must be his room is the god palace. “Come on and close the door! You have a contract to sign.” I take a second to bask in the mystifying features of this room. The crystal chandelier, the window back wall that connects to a balcony. Oh, the balcony! I shut the room door and went to walk to the balcony when Agai grabs my wrist and stops me. “Sign. Now.” He points to a piece of paper and hands me a pen. “Ughh fine” I don’t even read the contract and sign it. As I’m signing the places I need to, my name glows and turns a gold-like color. I should trust the gods since they are “all-powerful deities”. “Done! Now can I go? Like, go see my mother?” Agai starts laughing. “Did you not read the thing? You cannot leave Gemoor, and your life is now mine.” Oh wow. I put way too much trust into this guy. I should probably get on his good side for now. “Haha of course I read it, silly! I just wanted to know if I could tell my mother I will be gone for a while so she doesn’t make any trouble in the future.” I really hope he buys it. He is standing there, pondering it, and finally says “You get thirty minutes, no more, no less, and I will be listening in on the whole conversation.” That’s actually better than I thought. It's obvious he doesn't trust me, but I will earn his trust, and when I do, he will regret everything he has ever done to me and my family.

I have been slaving away for Agai and noticed Daniel stays around here a lot, even though he is a devil. Today is the day. Today is the day I talk to him and get to know him. I have to shoot my shot, right? Well, it’s not as easy as I think. I’m just a slave by this point, and from what I noticed, he is a higher-up devil, always walking around with a clipboard in-hand. Today though, he doesn’t have a clipboard, Just a...a shirt with IcyHot on it?!?! Does this mean he likes anime, or just how fierce Shoto looks on the shirt?? Ohmygod I don’t even know what to do about this! Crap I've been staring at his shirt for too long, I must look like a creep! I go to turn and walk away but a hand on my shoulder stops me. “I don’t think you look like a creep at all!” What did that voice just say? “I said, I don’t think you look like a creep, I've never seen anyone else around here that likes anime.” the voice says. I want to turn around right now and fangirl my little heart out but I know that voice, and I’m pretty scared to face him right now. “I prolly spooked ya’, didn’t I? Sorry about that. We haven’t properly met yet.” Daniel says. I mean he has a point. I take a few deep breaths and turn around. “Yeah, you have a point. Hi, I’m Edel.” I manage to say. “Geez, why so formal? I’m Daniel, the most handsome devil on Gemoor.” I'm pretty sure he’s the only devil on this planet. Daniel starts laughing. He’s actually pretty cute when he laughs. Gah! “Okay, you have got to tell me how you're responding to me when I am not saying anything out loud.” It’s pretty scary if you ask me. “I’m a devil, you don’t think I won’t have any special ability??” A pretty valid point that I did not think of. Wait. Does that mean- “Haha, yup! Don’t worry, I love Shoto Todoroki!” Daniel says, pointing to his shirt. And as soon as he says this, my necklace that Agai gave me starts glowing. About a week ago, the first week I was here, Agai gave me a necklace that he uses when he needs me or wants me to do something. How it works is he will ring a little bell, and my necklace will glow. Even more reason to believe I’m a slave. “Ahh, Sorry Daniel, this was great, but Agai is calling me, and if I don’t come, the next time you will see me is burnt alive,” I say. Daniel starts laughing and says “I was hoping for another thing like this, but run! Don’t want to upset him. I've seen him mad way too many times.” I wave him goodbye and run into Agai’s room.
