( Hello everyone! Actually I liked a certain manga thats really good and I can say that it inspired me to write this story. I may not be a good writer and English is not my primary language but ill give it my best. This will be updating depending on my busy schedule's free time.)

Lily was a great assassin in all history. She was never caught by the police for the thirty-six years of her life. Looking back, her family abandoned her when she was still little and ignorant. She doesn't even know that she was abandoned.

Later in her life she began to steal and got beaten every time. She worked her but off until she can no longer move.... then she realized that she was tired of everything and started to kill. It wasn't that she lost her mind she was just too tired. After the kill she felt nothing at all. She wasn't sad or anything, instead she felt as if she had a chance to live, a hope that in this cruel world there is a chance to survive.

Growing up killing someone she realized that she had a talent for assassination. She was unpredictable and unstoppable, she killed those who are deserving of death. But even she, the rumored reaper from hell was tired of killing, and so, soon she retired and lived as a normal person who travels around the world.

One day she was on her plane and it crashed into the middle of the ocean. There you can only see the endless flow of the sea.... the crash wasn't serious so Lily made it out alive but when the plane sank, she sank with it.

"Why didn't I learned how to swim?!" was the last sentence she spoke before she died.

She was not satisfied with how she lived until she died. She was someone who still has a few decades to live. Thinking that all was gone darkness enveloped her senses and she died.

'I... I can't breathe...'

Miss...

Miss! please wake up...

'People..? help....help me.....!'

Miss! wake up....

'I can't breathe.... help... please.... sob* I still want to live....'

Huh?! Doctor!......

'Doctor?.....'

Inside a red room there were several doctors and servants clasping their hands together as if praying and worry was visible in their faces.

"Miss...."

"Nothing will happen to her right?"

"Of course! miss will be alright. Right? butler?"

".....Mm. She'll be alright." The butler moved and picked the unconscious girl's hand.

"Please wake up miss." his voice filled with sorrow echoed in the room.

"ugh!"

The girl with white hair flipped to the side of the bed and curled up as she clenched the butlers hand.

"Miss!"

"Doctor please check her!" the butler patted the girls hand lightly as she squeezed the butler's hand.

'ugh!....'

'What the....... I, it hurts!'

"Miss I'm going to check, please relax!"

The doctor patted the girl's back gently.

"Ugh....Cough!"

The original white bed was now dyed dark red from the blood dripping out of the corner of the girl on the bed.

"B-blood!"

"Oh dear..."

"Butler...."

The maids gasped while they covered their mouths with both their hands.

"Miss....!"

Tears started rolling down their cheeks as they stare at the now conscious girl gasping for air as she hold the butler's hand.

"Miss, your awake." the butler tried to smile but the worry was visible.

"uhh..... haaaa.... haaaa...."

'ung!...It hurts like hell...' Closing her eyes a sea of memories came flooding in her brain.

That's right. Lily became one of the side character in her favorite novel.

This girl, or rather the character that she was currently in coincidentally has the same name-Lily.

The character lily was the first born of a rich business couple she was a she. Later on when Lily turned thirteen she had a little brother named Noct.

There's not much information about the character lily in the book.

[ Lily continued the family business of the deceased Edhiburgh couple when she was sixteen. ]

[ Excellent in management and business development.]

[ A young girl is still a child even with her achievements. Due to jealousy Lily snatched the poisoned wine from the heroine and drank it in front of everyone in the party. ]

[ Such acts was not expected of the famous Lily Edhiburgh of the business world and in that moment when she drank the poison that was for the heroine, her fate was sealed. ]

With lily's death, an unexpected villain of the story was discovered through investigation. Although the villain's identity was unknown the fact that someone was after the heroine's life is enough to cause a commotion in the main characters hearts.

'But Lily Edhiburgh didn't die this time, no, I replaced her....'

"Cough!"

Spitting a mouth full of dark red blood, Lily used her sleeve to wipe the corner of her mouth.

With her extremely pale complexion and dark blood all over her clothes it's impossible for someone looking at her to not feel pity.

Lily raised her head and saw the messed up faces of the people wearing maid outfit and doctors clothes.

'Haaaaa..... I can't think properly with them crying as if I died.. no, Lily Edhiburgh did died but I came so in their eyes Lily Edhiburgh didn't die.'

"I want to rest."

'Gasp!'

Lily announced as she closed her eyes and leaned back on the bed.

Nobody expected that their miss will suddenly wake up and tell them to leave her alone.

Lily's tone was firm but her current appearance, specifically her face, was that of a worn out old lady that lost everything she had.

Inside the master room of the Edhiburgh mansion. The place was spacious as it gives off a bright warm tone due to the cool sunlight that shines in from the balcony.

It contains a working table beside the king size bed. A coffee table in front and beside the large comfy white couch was the glass - like door separating the room and the balcony.

Sitting at the side of the king size bed Lily stretched her arm out and slapped her pale face.

"This is not a dream."

Jumping up from the bed she strode hastily to the working table and grabbed a mirror on the edge.

Lily's hand was trembling slightly as she raised the mirror in front of her face..

"Woah.."

Caressing her red cheek from the slap earlier Lily frowned and opened her mouth to check as she moved her head from side to side.

'This face looks damn average. As expected of a side character.'

Lily's long white hair draped on her shoulders as her bangs slightly hang loose in front of her deep blue eyes and pale face.

"But I don't remember having white hair..."

Even as she browse the character Lily's memories the former Lily and the whole Edhiburgh family has deep blue hair like their eyes. Checking again the story didn't mentioned having white hair either.

*Knock * knock

A knock on the door snapped Lily out of her thoughts and she placed the mirror back in the corner of the working table.

Pursing her lips she went on and opened the door stiffly.

"What is it-"

"Sister!"

Thud!

Rushing in, the little fella hugged (crashed into) Lily.

Having been weakened by the poison Lily's body is comparable to a toothpick right now.

Her body was super thin and lacked strength to even carry an adult head - size rock much less a wooden chair.

As the little thing collided with Lily, Lily's body staggered and fell back on her but.

"Sister!"

The little fella felt agrieved watching her sister fall on her but.

Clutching Lily's hand the little fella cried his eyes out as he struggled to speak..

"Sob, sister...sister... waaaa!"

Dazed by the sudden attack Lily turned her head to the little fella blankly.

'Sister? The character Lily's little brother?'

Tilting her head she stared at the little fella's sobbing mess of a face.

"Are you Noct Edhiburgh?"

Faced with the sudden question the little fella stared at Lily with worry in his watery filled eyes.

"S - sister. You don't remember me? I-it's me! Your younger brother Noct!"

'Oh! he really is the character Lily's little brother! Noct Edhiburgh!'

Nodding in a daze she reached out her hand and patted the now hers, the current Lily's little brother, Noct's head.

'I always wanted a younger sibling!'

Looking at her little brother with a gentle gaze, Lily leaned in and hugged the sobbing Noct.

'I have a family now and its a younger brother who I can spoil!'

Thinking about it Lily laughed in excitement with a disturbing smile on her face.

"He - hehe..."

Caressing Noct's head Lily looked down at her younger brother's face.

Making eye contact, Lily's face turned stiff after noticing Noct's confused gaze.

"Sister... you look and sound weird! you, a - are you ok?"

Feeling awkward Lily answered in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Ah.... that, I'm fine. It's just the remaining poison in me turned my hair white. The poison is really strong that I wonder who wanted the female scholar dead so badly. Isn't it funny? I ended up laughing because they failed. Ha ha ha!" ( The female lead is known as the first female scholar in the land of Arabec. )

Feeling proud of her quick, true and most importantly, reasonable answer Lily started laughing away.

Anger and sadness filled Noct's eyes as he abruptly stood up.

"Sister!!"

Startled with her younger brother's actions she lifted her face up and looked at his eyes expressing a hurt look.

"Huh? what's wrong little brother?"

"You-"

'Your laughing when you almost left me alone.... If you were just trying to save the female scholar you should've just slapped the poison away. Why did you need to drink it?'

"Ah... could it be? little brother did you hurt yourself when we fell?! let me see!"

Kneeling on the cold floor Lily searched Noct's body carefully as if checking a fragile ancient glass plate.

"Sister.... I'm not hurt because you acted as my cushion.. I should be the one asking you that! your too nice sister..."

Feeling convinced that her older sister really is too nice. Noct made up his mind to protect this kind hearted older sister of his.

"Sister, you need not be kind when it will hurt you. If someone try to take advantage of you this mature brother will take care of them!"

'Huh? little brother are you misunderstanding something?'

Feeling confused Lily immediately changed the topic with a cough.

"Ahem, now that I'm awake I remember that we haven't went out together because of my busy schedule. How about going out for shopping tomorrow?"

Looking back at the memories it really has been a while since the last time they hang out with each other.

Looking at his older sister Noct pursed his lips into a straight line before complaining.

"Your not well! you just woke up!"

"No. I'm feeling great already!"

"But-"

"No buts! listen to your older sister and let's go have fun tomorrow."

'I don't feel pain at all just a little tired. Since I'm damn rich I'll go on a shopping spree with my cute little brother!'

Nodding in content Lily did not notice her little brother's helpless look.

After Noct left the butler came in with a tray of light food and warm milk in his hands.

Placing it all down on the table the butler took the tray away with a worried smile.

"Miss, I'm glad your awake. But may I ask what happened?"

Confused, Lily tilted her head at the sudden question.

"Young master seems to be troubled."

Lily flinched after hearing the butler's words and frowned.

"Huh? what's wrong with Noct?"

"I saw him earlier before I came in. It looks like he's quite distracted."

Picking up the glass on the table Lily took a sip of the warm milk.

"Distracted? he's probably exited about going out tomorrow to have fun!"

Hearing the words "Going out" made the butler's face turn pale in an instant as he panicked of what to do.

"M - miss! you can't go out, the doctor said you need to rest for a few months. Besides there's still poison left in your body so you have no strength to walk much less go outside!"

Feeling a bit offended Lily arched her eyebrows.

"Who said I have no strength to walk? I'm perfectly fine! If I don't go out to relax my condition might get worse." Lily replied in all seriousness.

"But miss..."

Lily stared at the flustered butler before remembering something from the character Lily's memories.

{ Grandpa.}

That's right. Mr. butler is like a grandpa to both Lily, and Noct.

Living with Mr. butler since birth, they were like family. Now that Lily is in charge of the things the deceased Edhiburgh couple left behind Mr. butler was of great help in getting themselves together and overcome their parents death.

Although Mr. butler is strict he was a person who loved children to the core.

'In that sense-'

"Please? please grandpa? I want to go out!"

'My cuteness attack should work!!'

Startled by Lily's unexpected behavior the butler stared at her in a daze.

'What.... The doctors said the poison did have some side effects but was unknown because no one in the entire land has survived the poison. Is this one of the side effects?

Poor miss, this is the first time I saw this reaction from her since the old masters of the house (the Edhiburgh couple) died.'

Could not stop his tears from falling the butler covered his mouth as tears fell like a stream in the butlers' face.

"Miss, it's been a while since you last went out to purely enjoy yourself. About tomorrow, you may go out but you must always stay put on young master's side. If you feel sick or dizzy, you must tell young master immediately.

I'll go prepare for tomorrow miss. Please get some rest."

'I must make sure nothing happens to miss tomorrow. Would fifty knights be enough? I'll get some shadow guards too, some medic and about twenty magicians just in case.'

The butler left with the same expression as Noct when he left Lily's room.

Unknown to both the butler and Lily, Noct was thinking of making Lily wear some magic items to protect her and is on his way to spend all his money if needed.

"Ohhh.... I suddenly got the chills. The weather is warm, there was no wind, is someone talking behind my back?"

Lily rubbed her arms together.

"The plan failed."

Sitting in a round table with a wine in hand the human figure at the front seat hidden in the shadows tilted it's head and rested it's chin on its other hand.

"It failed yet the one who ruined the plan is still alive?"

Tapping the table another human figure covering it's face with a mask emerged from the shadow as it leaned in.

"From what I heard the little lady is close to being dead but is still hanging on."

"How many hours since she drank it?"

"It's about nine hours now."

Shocked by the masked man's words another human figure covered in black from head to toe spoke in the dark.

"Nine hours? Surprisingly, someone managed to survive for that long."

Leaning back in the dark the masked man gave an evil smile.

"Haha, isn't it interesting? I'm going-"

"No."

Drinking the wine. The man on the front seat continued.

"Leave her be. Those people should be watching the lady, if you get caught it will be troublesome replacing you."

Hearing the person's words the smile on the masked man's face vanished in an instant.

"Mmm.... it's too boring. Besides the fact that I'm currently weak I'm totally fine."

Lily clenched her fists repeatedly and tilted her head.

"I just have limited strength but I am both physically and mentally fine. I can still kill a grown man if I push myself."

Rubbing her face, Lily stood up and walked bare feet towards the floor to ceiling glass door.

Lily stared at the bright clear 'moons' in the night sky and the stars scattered shining brightly like diamonds.

"Haaa.... I still can't believe that I'm actually in the world of a novel.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry. This is really unbelievable."
