I don't know why I'm here. I don't know why I'm here in this court room when I'm innocent. I don't even have a lawyer to help me prove I'm innocent.

I can't really hear what people are saying. But, I hear faint whispers in my ear. Two actually.

I turn to look at my mother, even though she's the sole reason why I'm here. I was hoping that she'd give me a comforting look but, she don't look at me.

I look toward the front of the court room and let out a gasp of disbelief.

There was a small t.v. and I was in there. It was a jewelry store and I was moving toward the ruby ring. I looked around and slowly lifted up the case.

Then, I grabbed the necklace, carefully put the case down, and ran.

And that's why I'm here, in juvenile hall, inside a prison cell.

"If dad was here,he wouldn't let this happen!" ,I fumed.

"Too bad he's dead" ,a voice whispered from the shadows. The voice sounds like a teenage boys' voice. "Wait," another voice whispered, "would he help her?" This voice sounds like a teenage girls' voice.

"Who knows" , the first voice said, "Maybe he wouldn't help you. Maybe he'd just watch his daughter go to jail."

A shiver went down my spine. I don't have a cell mate yet so I should be the only one in here.

"W-Who's there", I called. "Someone", the first voice teased. "Who are you", I yelled, a little braver," You're not supposed to be in here. "

"Are you supposed to be in here" ,the first voice said. It sounded like it got closer.

"Yes! I mean no!" My voice was shaky. " I mea-" "I have a question" , the second voice exclaimed, "How good do you think your papa is?" " He's really good, "I yelled," He's the best! "

"Oh really", the first voice snickered.

"You really think that", the second voice said sympathetically," If only you know... "

"Know what", I challenged. "Something" , the first voice said, "Something we know that you don't." "Well, what is it!?" " Something. "

Is that voice messing with me? "Your papa is a criminal" , the second voice said softly, "He killed the Johnson family."

" No", I yelled, "He isn't!" " He killed the whole entire family. ", the first voice growled," Then he stole all of money and jewels. He even kidnapped Anna! "

No. My dad wouldn't do that! "No he didn't" , I screamed, "He's a kind man! He didn't do that! I know he didn't!" " Anna", the second voice said, ". Your papa loved her. He wanted to marry her. But our family our family didn't allow it."

" So your dad thought 'why won't I just kill the whole entire family when they get together! What a great idea'", the first voice said sarcastically.

"Why should I listen to you", I screamed," You two are just voices in my head! "

"Ha", the first voice breathed," We're as real as we can get. See you later, I guess. "

Tears flowed down my cheeks and I shook my head back and forth. He didn't. Dad really didn't kill the Johnson family.

And those voices. They sound so familiar...
