In The End
Life is, life is a mystery. One that no matter how hard we may try we will never fully understand. Those very simple words have crammed down my throat scene before I can even remember. And yet in the end, we still try. My life is one giant roller coaster that I may never reach the end of. So why not start here?
Hello my name is Kaileidh Teteors, and this is a school project that I had no idea how to start, which has led to a brand new roller coaster of my mind so buckle up I don't exactly know where this rollercoaster may end up.
It was cold and it was dark and I was scared. Shakey wimpers filled my room as hot wet tears poured out of my tightly closed eyes, and slowly fell down my cheeks making a pool of tears on my pillow. All I could do was silently cry in hopes I wouldn't wake anybody up. Once I had calmed down a bit, I pulled my tablet out from under my now soaked pillow and turned it on to check the time. I winced slightly as the bright light hit my eyes, once I adjusted I looked to see it was 4:16 p.m. I sighed knowing that I had school in the morning and slowly got up and made my way to the bathroom.
Once there I looked in the mirror to see the mess that was me, my eyes were all red and puffy, my hair was a wadded up mess, but as I looked closer I touched the bottoms of my eyes only to see big dark bags underneath. I silently panicked knowing my parents would not be too happy knowing I had been up all night. So what do I do you may be wondering? Absolutely nothing! I’m only a 7 year old. It's not like I can bibbity bobbity boo my face with makeup like my mother. I’d look like I got run over by a dumpster truck, and that's saying something!
Once I was done in the bathroom I slowly and quietly made my way to my room. When I was inside quickly I was knocked down by a small shadowy figure. I panicked slightly before something cold wet and slimy licked my face, after that happened I started to giggle knowing exactly who it was.
I struggled to get up but in the end succeeded and turned on my bedroom light once again, wincing and letting myself adjust. I looked down to see a small but fairly sized black and white colored Boston terrier running around the room frantically and excitedly all the while wagging his little stub for a tale, if you can even call it that, back and forth. I let myself quietly giggle for a moment before quietly whispering, “Scooby shhh you’re gonna get me into trouble!” He stopped what he was doing and turned to look at me before qwickly walking over and sitting down, I sighed and then proceeded to kneel down and pet his head. “Thank you buddy.” I whispered even though he may not understand a small part of me wanted to believe that he did.
Once it was finally morning I was the first to wake up like every day. When I exited the door I saw my mother leaving her room to do what I assume is to wake us up. She wakes us up every morning even when I'm up first. As we crossed paths we both greeted each other with a hug and a, “Good morning” before she made her way to my little brothers’ room to wake them up.
I quickly ran to the bathroom no longer worried if I woke anybody up, once I got there I proceeded to take off all my clothes and slowly get in the shower. When I was inside I closed the glass door and turned on the hot water. I gasped as ice cold water smacked me on the back but calmed down as it slowly went from cold to hot steamy water. After I had washed my hair and cleaned my body I just stood there for a moment and let my thoughts roam freely in my mind. I'll spare you the details of the thing I was thinking but I'll tell you this, not all of them were very pretty.
When I was finally done with my shower which felt like an eternity, I got out and wrapped myself in a nice warm blueish towel. I attempted to do that thing I've seen my mother do when she raps it around her and does some sort of a not, yeah…. Didn't really work in my favor. In the end I ended up using a hair tie I snagged from my mothers drawer to keep it from falling off. I made my way out of the bathroom trying my best not to slip on the cold wet tiled floor until I finally made it to my room.
I walked into my room letting out a sigh of relief as my feet hit the old but soft carpet knowing that anything is better than my feet feeling like ice popsicles. Aside from my feet freezing, I made my way to my dresser and began to pick out what I was planning on wearing today. In the end I wound up wearing a yellow and white striped shirt with a big yellow flower on the center of it, and for pants nothing to speshal just some old word out pair of jeans with two humonus holes at the knees from playing outside. When I was all done getting dressed I ran back to the bathroom and quickly brushed my long dirty blonde hair feeling every single not pulled on my scalp, I have one simple word to describe how painful long hair is,.. OW!
Once I was all done with my painful suffering I exited the bathroom and went to go get Scoobie from my bedroom, I turned the bright goldish colored knob and out came running as what I can only describe as a wind banshee who needed to take care of some “business.” I quickly followed behind him as if it was a race to see who would get down the stairs first, spoiler alert he won. So after my humiliating down fall I opened the glass sliding door and let him out into the backyard so he could take care of his “business,” while he was doing his thing I stepped outside onto the cold concrete not even bothering to put on shoes and just took a long yet refreshing deep breath in, and out.
When we finally went back inside I heard two wild elephants descending down the stars both hungry and tired that I don't know how they even pulled themselves out of bed. The first one to make it down the stairs stopped and jumped from the third step up, he would have landed perfectly if it weren't for his sleepy disorientation. In the end he fell on his face and started laughing hysterically. Then came the second little elephant, he was a lot smaller than the other but that didn't make it any less noisy as he herdled himself down the stairs copying the bigger elephant and landing right on top of him both laughing and playing around.
In case you haven't caught on yet these are my two little brothers Jeremy and Ayden.
Jeremy is a small but spazzy kid. He has a stylish hair cup that he enjoys gelling back to make him look fancy in all of his little suits. I personally think he looks like a little buttler with a kick ,but that's just my opinion. He's pretty skinny from most 5 year old kids and somehow is still just as strong that everytime he hugs me I can literally feel the air being squeezed out of me! And the smaller one Ayden is a bit more calm and shyer than Jeremy is, but when you put these two together they can make a mess bigger than fire season after all the trees are gone!
Ayden is a lot smaller for his age as he was born prematurely but he's a strong kid. Unlike his brother he prefers his hair just a bit longer and more unruly I mean seriously you take this kid anywhere and he always looks like he has bed head, Ayden is only three years old but hes crafty, everytime my mother tells him to go change so we can go to the store he ends up putting on his day time clothes over his pjs. Somehow my mom will never notice until we step inside the door and he starts stripping his clothes looking like a cozy little kid that just crawled his way out of bed.
Once they were done with what looked like a little resling match, they both ran to the kitchen and started rummaging through the cabinets and fridge looking for something to satisfy their hunger, even though they knew they had to wait for mother so come and make food for them. While this was all happening I was busy looking for a pair of shoes to wear. All of our shoes were stacked in these little blue boxes each one labeled and decorated to our liking. Mine was the one on the top it had my name,“Kaileidh”, written at the beginning of it and a little pink flower that I drew on with a crayon. Inside were four pairs of shoes but the ones that caught my eyes were my little brown boots with a pink swirl pattern going up each side, they were a little worn but I loved them nonetheless. I call them my cowgirl boots, they’re my favorite so of course those were the ones I chose.
After I was completely done getting ready for the day I went over to our front door to grab my pink and purple barbie backpack. I then through it over my shoulder and began to walk over the the couch, when I sat down it felt like I was sitting on a lawn chair old and worn, with pieces of thread sticking out from the eges and the cracks, it's not the best couch in the world but we make due with what we got, I mean it's better than sitting on the cold tiled floor.
After that I just sat and waited for my mother or father to wake up so they could take me to school. The only sound in the house being my rowdy brothers waiting for my mother to come downstairs to make them a bowl of cereal, and Scooby running around trying to get rid of his morning energy. I then began to think about what we would be doing in school today. “It's Wednesday so it'll be an early release, thank God”, I thought to myself. My mother said something about her dropping me off and my father picking me up. I would never admit it but I loved it when my dad would pick me up in his big truck it always made me feel cool and special. Like I was the only kid in the world at that moment.
His truck is really big compared to me as he always has to lift me up just so I can get in. It has a big black metal cage around it that he walked all by himself, and the truck itself was painted a light green color. Me being me I gave it the nickname the green booger scene. I wasn't a huge fan of his color choices. I remember always climbing on it like it was one big jungle gym. My father didn't mind and only told me not to stand on the top so I don't either fall or make a big dent on its roof.
My mother on the other hand wasn't too fond of the idea of a clumsy little seven year old being a monkey on his truck, but over time let it slide as I had never gotten hurt,...yet. Anyway back to reality. My mother in all of her glory began to descend down the stairs, she was wearing some fuschia sweatpants and a big black shirt with her hair in a big messy bun. My mother works nights at the hospital so whenever she takes me to school she just rocks her pj’s like a cool mom so when she gets home she can just crash. In my opinion she is the best mother in the world, and yes I know that all kids may say that about their parents but in my eyes it's true!
My mom is really short compared to my dad but that just gives her an excuse to make him get her stuff off the top shelf at the store. She has long brown hair like mine and big blueish green eyes like a big medo exploding in your mind when you look into them.
My mom reminds me of a beautiful fairy scene. She has really pretty white spots all over her body, she gets these because of a thing called vitiligo? I don't really know what it is. She doesn't really like her white spots but I always remind her that she is the most beautiful woman to walk the earth. And no I'm not trying to suck up to her, I just know it's true and anyone who disacrease is just a big meany!
Once she reached the bottom of the stairs she gave us all a weak smile, told us goodmorning and went to the kitchen to do what I assume is making herself some coffee and preppear my little brothers’ breakfast. When she came back she had a cup of steaming hot coffee in her hands as she slowly walked to the table. After she set her cup down she went back to the kitchen and grabbed my brother's bowls of cereal and poot one in front of each of them, they both thanked her and began to enjoy their food. She then sat with my brothers as they began to talk amongst themselves. All the while Scooby was running around trying to catch everything my brothers dropped off the table.
