Everything starts in the fourth day of April, when a scholar arrives in Xian city and starts sharing his tales through that place. New legends are passed down to the crowds and one of them catches young master Song's attention.

"Are you giving up young master?" (Fei Yi)

"I said "stop sending letters" because I will go there in person! I will visit the Grand Blossom Pavilion tomorrow morning!" (Song Jia)

(30 years old. Is Song Jia's personal attendant. He was brought into the Song mansion when he was seven years old. Three years later, the young master of the Song house was born and he became his personal attendant. Since then, he stayed by young master Song's side and followed every single step of his master.)

The new scholar.

(There are not too many details about this person yet. He shows up in Xian city during the spring season and fastly becomes very known for his exquisite talent among the residents of Xian city.

He was staying in the Grand Blossom Pavillion, a place very often visited by nobles, scholars, merchants and entertainers. Grand Blossom Pavilion is actually an entertaining house, where the music, food, wine and dancers are always at the visitor's disposal. He was making a living by selling his work to the crowds. One of his books ends up in the young master of the Song family's hands. The book is highly appreciated by the young lord and he requires a meeting with its author but he gets no reply. Some people are saying that the scholar is a bashful young talent but others see him as a sissy.)

Magistrate Song Wei.

(50 years old. He's Xian's magistrate and Song Jia's father. He is a wise, very strict and fair old man. He has been running Xian city for more than 20 years. He has three children with his only wife Song Ju, two daughters and one son (Song Ji, Song Mei and Song Jia).

Madam Song Ju.

(50 years old. The magistrate's wife and Song Jia's mother. A very beautiful, well educated and loving mother. The lady of the Song residence. )

Xian city is very bright during the night, especially during the flying lanterns festival.

This festival is one of the festivities dedicated to the gods.
