Chapter 1 - Living Suitcase

There! All packed up!
As I sealed the last one of my moving boxes, I sat down in the middle of my empty room, sighing.
My mother announced only yesterday that she was engaged to a very wealthy man.
Since my mother and him are going on an around-the-world tour, they suggested that I go live with his children in the family house.
My mother has never dated anyone with children. She already hates the fact that she had me in the first place... so why was she getting engaged to someone who had children?
Well, my mother's relationships never lasted long. It always ended up with her leaving them, saying that she had enough of their attitude. In other words, she got bored and left.
She's gone for half a year and either I could remain in this empty house and sulk or I could move in with other children my age.
I took my mother's fiancé's advice and agreed to move in with his children.
He used to be married but his wife died in an accident. She was apparently never an honest woman and mistreated him and her children.
It's a similar situation to what my father used to be, then.
As I picked up the last box, I slowly walked down the stairs, treading each step carefully.
Then, I finally got outside. The truck was there, waiting for me and only me.
As I gave the box to one of the men, I then locked the door and twirled around, jumping into the front of the truck and we departed.
The house was on the other side of town, in the fancy neighbourhood that my mother and I couldn't even afford to step in.
Mover
This must be exciting, little missy! Living in a place like this?
Dawn Black
Yes... I'm very fortunate.
It'll get me away from that house. And that's the only reason why I'm going.
Once the truck stopped itself in front of a beautiful house, I jumped out and searched my keyring for the key that was entrusted to me.
Elliot Prince
There you are! Welcome, Dawn!
Dawn Black
Oh, Mr Prince. I didn't expect to see you here.
Elliot Prince
I left your mother at the airport. I thought that you'd like a tour.
Dawn Black
Um, are you sure that was a good idea. My mother is terribly impatient.
Elliot Prince
I told her that I left the cooker on. She believed me.
Elliot Prince
Come on in. I'll show the movers to your room.
And just like that, my new life began and the fateful encounter of the two individuals who were going to change my life was just around the corner.

Chapter 2 - Not Lonely
Elliot was a young looking man who seemed to be really honest. I kind of feel bad for not warning him how my mother acts once they try and get too cosy.
Elliot Prince
And here is your room! The final stop! I didn't know what a girl liked so I asked my assistant to decorate your room.
Did I forget to mention that he happens to be the CEO of the most influential music brand out there, Prince Entertainment.
I couldn't believe my eyes when he showed me my room. I walked in, my hands trailing across the top of the couch.
Dawn Black
This... this is my room?
Elliot Prince
Yes. Is it not to your liking? Perhaps you'd like it more pink-
Dawn Black
No... it's just that you said the room was small...
Elliot Prince
It is small.
Then, he saw my eyes filled with awe and he smiled.
Elliot Prince
This must be different from what you're used to.
I then saw the double bed and sat on it, feeling the soft sheets.
Elliot smiled as he watched me run around the room, excited and like a small child in a toy store.
Elliot Prince
Anyway, I'll let you get settled in. And this is yours.
He then handed me a card.
Elliot Prince
The pass code is your birthday. I'll transfer your allowance onto there.
Dawn Black
Allowance? Oh, no, Mr Prince. I couldn't possibly accept money from you.
Dawn Black
I-It's just that it doesn't feel right...
Elliot Prince
How else are you going to pay for food and cute clothes? Just take it.
Elliot Prince
Don't feel guilty, it's okay. These two only live off of takeout and pot noodles anyway. So how about this? Why don't you cook them a few meals and use that card to finance them.
Elliot Prince
The rest, well, take it as your wages.
Elliot Prince
I've got to go now. Your mother must be waiting for me. And Dawn?
Elliot Prince
Look after my boys. Make sure they don't get into any trouble.
But before I could ask him anything else, he ran away like lightning.
I was left in my room, surrounded by cardboard boxes, all alone.
I was used to feeling alone but this time, it didn't feel that impactful. Perhaps because I wasn't going to be totally alone this time.
But by boys... he wouldn't mean just guys, right?
He must have a daughter at least...
My stomach started to grumble and I knew immediately what that meant.
I slowly walked down the stairs to the kitchen. Upon opening the fridge, I sighed. I suddenly understood why he asked me to cook for them.
There is nothing but pre-made salads and cucumber. Nothing else.
I looked at the card and sighed. Might as well get some food in so I don't starve here.

Chapter 3 - Meeting The Twins
I got back to the house and immediately set the shopping down onto the counter.
Dawn Black
I wonder what's on the news today...
I clicked onto the remote and the TV opened up on a channel where two twin idols were singing together.
Their voices harmonised perfectly. I was impressed.
Ashton Prince
Geez, Aubery! Is your ego so big that you have to watch us at-
I turned around to find the voice that had just spoken and froze as I saw him.
The man who was standing at the top of the stairs was the exact person in the TV.
He stood there, dumbfounded at my appearance.
Aubery Prince
What are you-
Then, I thought that I was seeing double.
Aubery Prince
What's wrong, Ashton? Never seen a girl before? Honestly...
He then walked down and grabbed my hand.
Aubery Prince
You must be my father's girlfriend's daughter.
Dawn Black
Yeah, that's me.
Aubery Prince
Our new future half-sister, yes.
Aubery Prince
Honestly, I don't get why he invited you here anyway. Their relationship won't last.
Dawn Black
I know. My mother is selfish, sycophantic and only thinks of herself.
Dawn Black
There's no way that someone as amazing as your dad would stick with her.
I said those things with a straight face to the twins shock.
Dawn Black
So you two are singers, I see.
Aubery Prince
Idols. Have you seriously never heard of us?
I shook my head back and forth.
Ashton Prince
You've never seen me or Aubery before?
Dawn Black
Nope. Sorry, was I supposed to?
Dawn Black
We didn't have a TV in my old apartment. I didn't have a phone either.
Aubery Prince
No, you're right. We've failed as idols.

For once, I agree with you.

Anyway, we don't need you here. You can leave and live back at your house without TV.
They then looked at me and at the cream salad I was making.
Ashton Prince
What is... that?
Dawn Black
Oh, this? Cream salad!

W-What's inside of it?
I listed the ingredients but then, the white haired twin pulled him back.
Aubery Prince
Ashton, don't be tempted by delicious food!
Ashton Prince
I can do what I want. You're not the boss of me, Aubery.
Dawn Black
D-Do you guys want some?
Aubery Prince
If you so deeply insist.
Ashton Prince
Can't let it go to waste!
As I set out three plates, I started to eat my food and so did the guys.
Ashton Prince
This isn't bad!
Aubery Prince
It has this particular taste that's pleasant enough.
Dawn Black
Well, my name is Dawn. I didn't know yours...
Ashton Prince
I'm Ashton and this is-
Aubery Prince
I can introduce myself, you know. Turn off your idol mode too. It's tiring to look at.
Ashton Prince
It is turned off! You're the one who still has it switched on!
Ashton Prince
Don't mind it. Anyway, you can't live here.
Aubery Prince
I'll call the moving company to come back.
Dawn Black
U-Um... my mother ended the lease to our apartment.
Aubery Prince
Not our problem.
Dawn Black
H-How about this? I just don't want to be lonely so why don't I make all of your meals from now on. I'll consider your form and physique as idols and make them as healthy as possible.
Dawn Black
I just... don't want to go back there.
Loneliness poured out of my eyes, a feeling that both boys knew.
Aubery Prince
I'm Aubery... and I guess that you could lay low. I don't spend much time in this house anyway.
My eyes sparkled as I smiled brightly.
Dawn Black
