MEI'S POINT OF VIEW

I was sound asleep when the sound of a someone banging at my door woke me up. I sluggishly left my bed and opened to whoever was threatening to break my door. It was Mr. Lee and his presence meant nothing but trouble."I guess you know why I am here. You are late in the payment of your rent. You have upto the end of this week to start paying otherwise you will have a visit from my lawyers.", he said this sternly before leaving​ my door.

I sighed deeply before closing the door. I had graduated from college and I had managed to rent and apprartment for six months while waiting to get a job. Unfortunately, things didnot go as planned and upto know I still am unemployed with an unpayed rent.

I wented to my bathroom and took a cold bath. I dressed in slim brown pants and and a cream blouse. I tied my long blond hair into a tight bun, not wanted to apply make up, I applied just a light pink lip tint on my lips before wearing my lens glasses and heading to my kitchen. I opened the fridge and to my greatest dismay, it was practically empty. I took the cake I received from the woman owning the concenience store down the street and ate it as I checked my mails. I was scrolling down the latter when I saw what I had been waiting for the last six months. One of the agencies for which I had applied for responded. It was PHOENIX entertainment; It was a new agency that was getting notorious for the amazing idols they have been producing lately.

In the email, they gave me an appointment today at noun. In other words I had one hour to be there.I gathered my belongings that is my bag, my phone, my keys, my earphones and my ID card.

I rushed out of the building and took a bus downtown, thankfully I had enough money for that. The ride was about 45 minutes long, with enough luck I might be able to arrive there on time.

Half and hour later, I was infront of PHOENIX entertainment. I hastily entered in the small building and slammed into someone who was equally to the door.

"Ouch!", I whined rubbing my forehead. I looked at the guy with whom I had just collided. He was seemingly bigger than me and was just stunning. His brown bangs practically covered his eyes as he swayed his face to the right in an attempt to move them,he did this as he stood up. He gave me a boxy smile before giving me his hand to help me up.

"Are you ok?", his voice was deep and raspy. I nodded as I stood up on my feet. I was about to thank him when another boy exited the agency

"Hey where have you being ? We have bee. waiting for hours!''

If those two are idols then I have to say, Idols are stunning. I looked at the two arguing until they acknowledged my presence. I greeted them and made my way into the agency. The secretary directed me to the director's office.

"I am glad, you made it on time here Miss Kim", Mr Chen greeted me cheerfully as I entered his office.

"Thank you for employing me", I bowed to him in gratitude.

"We are going to dive deep into the topic, let me present you to the group ypu Will be managing from now on.

I was excited by the whole situation and really impatient to meet the girl group I was to manage.

MEI'S POINT OF VIEW

Mr. Chen aka my new boss, was kind enough to show me around the different departments of the agency. PHOENIX had many trainees and very few but talented idols; the idol group METAL HEART had just debuted their world tour and had been nominated for the next American awards. They really were famous and I hope to achieve such goals with my group.

Mr. Chen finally took me in a conference room, there six boys were seated probably waiting for Mr. Chen and I. I rapidly realised what was going on, I was going to manage a boy group and not a girl group as I had expected.

All of a sudden, I started panicking. I always had bad experiences with boys and I was seriously doubting if I was qualified enough to manage them and furfill their dreams.

I was so lost in thoughts that I didn't realize that they had all introduced themselves and they were waiting for me to do same. Geez, I didn't even get their names. I bowed to them before introducing myself, "My name is Mei Chang, from now on I will be your new manager. I look forward to working with you. Let's take care of each other.''

Mr. Chen briefed us on some details before exiting, he gave me an agenda with informations about all the members and left wishing us good luck. The boys all left for their dance lessons and I followed them, afterall it is my job as their manager.

Throughout our way there I kept a safe distance not wanting to interfere with them as I didnot get their names as they were introducing. The two boys whom I met outside were equally there and the one with whom I crashed with occasionally turn around to offer me one of his boxy smiles to which I will respond with a wave.

Once in the practice room, they went in position and started rehersing. I have to say, they really are good. They were in perfect sync as if they had done this all their lives long. I took advantage of this moment to take a look at the agenda. They all had foreign names and from what I read from their personal records almost none of them were purely korean. Jackson, the oldest was a 94 liner and was half korean and half Canadian. The second, Arhnaf was a hundred percent Indian, from what was written in the agenda, he was born in New Delhi was had grown up here in Seoul. Mr boxy smile went by the name Lucas and was a quarter French, a quarter spanish, a quarter Mexicain and a quarter Korean; what a mixture. The next up was Ethan, half Japanese and half Korean. The last two, Thalian and Emerald were purely Korean. Emerald's features were breath taking, I could already see him as the visuals of the group; he was svelt with a perfectly shaped jawline and those amazing pale green eyes that decorated his face, I now see why his parents called him Emerald.

I closed the agenda and watched their rehersals to the end. Their choregrapher was really strict on their moves but encouraging nevertheless. They kept moving for an extra one hour before ending the session, I had not even realised that an hour that flew before the choreographer mentionned it.

I clapped at them before handing them their respective water bottles which they chucked down almost instantaneously.

"Did you really like it Manager?", Ethan asked apprehensively, he was the youngest and seemed really sensible. "It was very good, I was surprised when your choreographer said that he had taught you these moves yesterday.'' , I smiled at him making him feel more confident. ''Real idols learn moves in 24 hours. It is not by congratulating us for a choreography learnt in two days that we will become real idols!", Jackson spat this to me as if I had done wrong by cheered them up. I looked at the other members, they all looked hurt by Jackson's words but none seemed to have the courage to stand up to him. I decided to, afterall as their manager I had the responsibility to take care of them, "how do you think not only idols but people in general progress if they are not encouraged and cheered up once in a while? I know you want to become an idol but being hard on yourself and on others won't help." he glared at me before sighing, "you are right. Guys, I am sorry." With that he exited the room, I turned and eyed the five boys before me,"Look in life you have to learn to stand up for yourself because if you don't you never will reach the top. From your behaviour I can guess that you don't know each other that well but you have to, if you want to be solid enough to reach the sky. I know Jackson is the oldest but don't let that intimidate you ok?". They all agreed as I took my bag I had dropped on the floor. I waved them goodbye before leaving. Mr. Chen told me that since today was Friday, there wasn't anything much I could do so I decided to go home.

Those guys had no bonds linking them and I had to remedy to that if I wanted a solid team.

Once home, I created a group chat inorder to be able to comminicate with the boys. Talking about communication, that was something that they really lacked, they barely talked to each other as a group little did they talked to their leader.

It was at this moment that I came up with the brightest idea! The best way to get hooked up with eachother is through fun, thankfully tomorrow was Saturday, I was going to take all of them to the amusement park.

I went to the group chat and proposed the idea to the group, everybody agreed on the exception of Jackson who pretexted that he had work to do. I did my best to convince him but he didn't seem to want to join. After giving them the address and setting the appointment for tomorrow at noon, I went to my pc and scheduled their program for the week. Their debut was at the corner at they had to do a memorable performance if they wanted to leave their footprint on the scene. That is what he taught me......

I worked all night and went to bed at 2a.m. I woke up next morning and had to check time twice not believing what my alarm clock was reading. It was 11:15 and I was going to be late! I rushed to the bathroom and did my morning comodities as fast as possible. Once done I slipped on a flowery summer dress and some sandales, I let my hair run down my shoulders right to my back without wearing a hairtie. I applied a light make-up, took my bag and my phone before rushing out of my appartment. Thankfully, the amusement park was two blocks away from house so I ran there.

It was 12:15 when I arrived. I was panting but thanks my roll-on I wasn't sweating. They already were there waiting for me, Jackson was there too with annoyance painted on his face, "How dare you force me to come here and have the guts to be late!!?" I was happy he came so I didn't bother to respond to his salty comment. Emerald was just next to him and looked like he was just from a designer's collection,"It's not elegant for a lady to be late, but I guess we can pardon you."

I really felt embarassed by my delay. Once they quitted reprimending me we entered the park. They were lots of attractions and we really had a hard time choosing. I had to intervain before their bickering turned into a dispute.

"Okay how about we do what the maknae line wants to do first? Afterall they are the youngest." They agreed convinced by my argument and we went to the Russian mountains. While they were paying for their tickets I remembered that I don't have enough money to afford any of the attractions. I resigned and stepped aside as they were entering the cart.

"Mei-noona aren't you coming with us?", Ethan's voice startled me a little rather it was his question that startled me, I couldn't tell them that I was completely broke. "No no. Have fun, I am just here to accompany you.", he seemed a little disappointed by my words before being carried away by the cart. I took out my phone and made a video, they all seemed to have fun, even Jackson who looked a little bit grumpy ended up enjoying himself. We went from attraction to attraction and I stayed back pretexting that I had to make videos. Once we had done all the attractions that were of interest to them, we went to a karaoke and they ordered food as they looked at the playlist. Lucas, Ethan and Thalian were an incredible trio, they harmonised perfectly as if they had rehersed before. Jackson and Arhnaf killed a rap and I didn't fail to record that. They only one who hadn't sung yet was Emerald, he sang to an American song,Ariana Grande's ''God is a woman'' and my jaw dropped. Emerald really has everything for him; the voice, the clothing, the voice ....just everything. I was awed by his performance and so was everyone.

I was surprised when Ethan handed me the mic," noona you haven't done any of the attractions, please sing atleast." I really wanted to protest but all of their eyes were on me so I took the microphone, I browsed through the list and picked a song; The Truth Untold by BTS. It was really a soft song and I had fun singing it just like when he was there....

I looked at them and they all seemed to have bugged." Noona's voice is awesome", Ethan gagged and I really found that cute. We ate (atleast I had enough to order something for myself) and I was happy to see them interacting with eachother. We spent some more time there before calling it quits for today. The sky was gloomy, it was threatening to rain,"go home safely, text me when you arrive home,okay?" With this I ran off to my home.

It had started pouring and I was completely soaked. It was only when I reached the building of my appartment that I realised that I had forgotten my bag. I was completely devastated, how could be so clumsy?

I was about to return there under the rain when someone tapped my shoulder, "You sure are clumsy lady"
