My name is Catalina Morgan and I don't know how my world become like this, I have never experienced something like this in my life I don't know what to expect, and I also don't know what to do

the only brave person and the only one who still has sanity is my childhood friend Daniel Rodriguez and his brother Louis Rodriguez.

Daniel and I met, when our family moved here, I was 4 year old at that time. I used to get bullied a lot by my Neighbor's kids

firstly we did not talk to each other much but one day while I was playing in the park I got beaten up by those kids and that was the time I met my hero,

he helped me, from then on he would always stay with me, whether it was my good time or bad time, his parents were scientists and did some pretty weird research.

We did spent a jolly good time together and the memories of him and me are still fresh in my mind like it happened yesterday only

And our time went on like that, but then my mother died of a car accident.

It was the most tragic moment in my life but Daniel was with me no matter what,

He was with me and I was happy

But then when I got a little older and Daniel too, his parents died or we can say went missing and I did the same thing he did was to stay with him

And from that time I vowed to stay with him no matter what happens

Now that it happened my father remarried and my nightmare begin. She did not treat me like my mother at all, when my father would go for his job she would make me do all the chores and I got fed up of it, I went to talk to Daniel, he was being taken care if by his elder brother, who was 23 at the time , he was rich too, his name was Louis Rodriguez.

And after discussing about my stepmother to Daniel, he told me to go to hostel and live there as it is a better way to get away from her and so I did, I went to hostel at the age of 16 and on vacation and holidays I would visit Daniel only, I never decided to go to my house and don't know even if they are alive or not, so now I decided to visit my so called family and check on them

I started my journey to my house and kept texting Daniel or Danny as I like to call him

I was so into the text that I did not realize I reached home so I texted him bye and down from my friends car who was kind enough to give me ride, after getting down I noticed my friends getting freaked out and immediately went back

I noticed the whole neighborhood was silent, a strong dreading feeling crept over me and a chill ran down my spine when a cold gushing wind ran past me

There were many trees near my house when I left it but now those trees have dried and many crows were sitting there and it felt like there were going to feed me when they started flying and hovering over my head

I immediately went to ring the doorbell that's when the door flew open and it was unlocked

From Inside a foul smell came and I immediately gagged. Which I had not expected cause my step mother always keeps the house clean and my father is very strict about these things

That's strange, I thought

I continued going inside, it was purely dark inside and all the curtains were pulled. Things were scattered here and there. I had to jump over things, then I saw the fishes that I and Daniel raised up lying on the floor gasping and flipping with huge teeth that are razor sharp

it was crazy to think that such small cute fishes have turned into something like this I then saw their fins that have many thorns and then I saw that my dog eve was nowhere to be found only her lash lying in a pool of blood

I suddenly heard a chewing sound and looked toward that direction and saw that it was coming from the  basement I got scared since I never went to the basement and always believed that there were monsters there

I got this fear since Daniel's parent went missing cause I once saw a person's silhouette with green eyes sparkling in the dark. I continued stepping down the stairs and in the dark basement,

A little light was coming from the small window up above,

I got scared but nonetheless decided to step down as I put my hand on the walls I felt something sticky and turned on the phone to shine and saw that it was blood which was a little old Luke an hour or so judging by the solidity of it

also I was learning to be a forensic scientist cause it was my dream

I got this dream, when I saw Daniel's parent working they often used to take me to their lab for a tour and although they were chemists I wanted to a forensic scientist,

my thoughts were broken as I heard a growl almost like choking but still a growl and saw that my stepmother eating something while sitting in the dark and I realised that the foul smell was coming from there only

I had to close my nose cause the smell was too strong I continued stepping forward and saw my stepmother was chewing on a

And it was such a hit that brother Louis got billions of dollars on that

After a year Daniel or Danny as I like to call him came up with the idea of a movie called The troubles of being genius

It was actually a Zombie Apocalypse movie

And it was in a progress, I have to admit that these two brothers have the best brain in the world

We were eating breakfast when Daniel got a phone call and after that he became worried

I asked him what was the matter and this was the reply I got

Look someone was testing on a deceased human body and accidently put on the wrong chemicals and the results were surprising

The dead body just woke up and  tried to attack many doctors

But many officers were present there but the doctor was able to create the antidote soon and no harm was done to any of the people and also one of them called the police and now the police officer is asking the owner of the building

" Don't worry get ready and we're going, also who told them to just mix up random chemicals and work on a dead body" brother Louis replied

"It's okay it must be a mistake let's just get going or the police will suspect us only"

I said

We got changed and drove off to our destination. After reaching there we saw many cop cars and entered the building immediately getting greeted by each of the staff working there,

on asking the receptionist about the incident she told us to go to 67th building where the experiment was being done

We soon entered the private elevator and reached the floor, not far we saw the cops standing with banner, DO NOT CROSS.

We reached there and saw people rushing here and there and immediately bowing there head down when there eyes would land on us or greeting a good morning

We went to the cops and every one of them greeted Daniel and brother Louis

And one of them asked " who is she "

This just made them a little angry and confused

Angry because they they speak in such a tone to to me and confused cause they did not know that I was the CEO of the company

Then brother Louis said in a dark and a facial expression that said say-that-again-can-you-i-did-not-get-that then said

"THE CEO OF THIS COMPANY "

Hearing this he got a bit frightened and surprised but didn't dare say anything

So I went towards the Doctor, Who was being interrogated so harshly. Let me tell tell you one or two thing about, first he is a genius and second he's a cute nerd who is very shy and all the staffs and trust me when I say all of 12000 people who are working here respects him, he's name is  cole Lopez. He's one of the top head interns and no one talks harshly or says anything about him

"hello can you please be a little nicer to him"

I said with a sickly smile that I put on when I am being angry or irritated

After about four hour the cops left closing this case as none was hurt or was damaged

crazy right I thought too no I thought it was a dream

The dead body of my father had been manipulated very badly I cannot even recognize it but when I saw the shining locket on his neck then I realized it was my father, the father who raised me up, trust me when I say I hate him but after all what he did was for my own good he wanted me to have a father but he did not know that this would happen I was heart broken at the sight I could not accept that on my first return Fenton the hostel I would ever meet him like this,

I wanted to scream so horribly but I stayed quiet, questioning myself if my step mother had gone insane or something but whatever I needed to get out from here and I did, I stepped out from the house and ran up the street, then I saw them, they were injured and some of them were limping and some were crawling, while some didn't have hand, legs

I ran and I ran, not knowing where I was going but somehow ending up in front of  Daniel's house and collapsed

My whole body was trembling with fear and then with shaky hand I took out my phone and called him and he picked up that's when I said to come out then I went unconscious and darkness consumed me, the last thing I saw was someone calling my name

After a while

I woke up and saw that it was Daniel's room I often visited his house so I knew it was his house nothing has changed a

Then I started to look around and that's when I noticed the doll that I gave him when his parents died I was still a child and so I decided that I would give him my doll, the fact that he still kept made me smile and giggle a little bit but quiet enough so that he would not hear me

he was engrossed in his work that he did not notice me at all

I saw him working on his laptop, I called his name and he turned back surprised

Let me tell you a fact of two about him is that he is not much of a talker but doesn't mean he is a heartless beast, well can be sometimes when someone insults his family or friends but is a huge softie on the inside

I went up to him and asked him where he found me and he replied "well I found you outside my door and you were unconscious and I wanted to ask you what happened? "

I explained everything that happened to me and how the people were reacting

That's when he came, Danny's brother and told that he knew what was going on

It was someone's plan, conspiracy or an experiment

As creepy as it was to hear I was very shocked as to why someone would do this and what was their motive by harming innocent people

it was really hard for me to understand and I wanted to cry at the sudden change of the world but I needed to stay strong and needed to turn everyone back of course it would be impossible but I'll try till my last breath.

I asked big brother Louis as to what he found out that's when he dragged me and Danny to the window and showed the people eating each other it surly was horrific to look at and I got scared for a split second not understanding what to do I held Danny's hand and the churning feeling in my stomach had subsided

I felt safe and secured

We went to eat something as I had just woken up, after breakfast Danny went to bring food

I felt a little uncomfortable sitting on the chair facing Louis's laptop as if someone was watching me and that scared me

I went to Louis and vegan cleaning the dishes the dishes

Danny came back

Unexplained what all happened in the outside world you also said that he Carried a gun Just for safety measures and turns out he was right all the people who had turned into that creature try to attack him but he succeeded in running from there

the next morning when I woke up I found that then Danny was making breakfast and Louis was sitting on a chair in the dining room with a laptop on his lap. Finding a cure just like me but failing just like me

We all ate breakfast that's when the glass broke and our heads snapped at that direction

We all stood up and picked out a weapon

And faced to where the came from and was shocked to see Daniel's friend Sarah she looked tired and was panting so badly as if she ran a marathon, she was a very beautiful woman, she had long blond hair and light blue eyes that can trap anyone

When Daniel's parents were alive they fixed the marriage between Daniel and sarah but for some reason Daniel declined but she still chases him

I let my guard down and they did the same that's when she ran and hugged Daniel

I then looked at Daniel he was really pissed off and pushed her off of him

Then she looked at me and got angry, for some reason since childhood she had been jealous of me but don't know the reason

And she screamed " why are you here"

I was dumbfounded

Really really confused then I answered

" I..."

That's when Daniel cut me off

" it's her house " with a low growl which made me shiver

She pouted and turned away

I went to the kitchen to give something for her to eat something

After that I went to my room which Daniel made for me and dropped on the bed and quickly drifted off to sleep
