They stood there looking at each other and then Arthur hugged Elaine and said,'I'm gonna be a father! Hell yeah!

But then he got all serious and said,'You have to take a break from work,all the running and swordsmanship,what if the water breaks mid way? Huh? What then? he said with worry.

There was a pause.

Elaine said,'It's okay, when the belly starts showing,I'll stop. And I know sometimes you won't be there to watch over me so I won't do a lot of running,okay?

He hesitated and then said,'But you have to quit drinking wine,vodka,tequila and....

Elaine cut him off and said, it's okay,I know that.

But I still can't believe that I'll have a mini you calling me father,he smiled.

She chuckled and said,We'd better go to sleep because it's already sunrise and we don't wanna get a sunburn.

Okay,he said.

Arthur......I'm hungry,Elaine said,Remember I'm eating for two now.

Okay,I'll make you something,go and change and tuck yourself in.I'm coming with something delicious for my two delicate flowers,he said.

She blushed and went upstairs.

Now.....what am I gonna make for them?he thought.Oh yeah,a mixed berry yoghurt with dragon fruit on top,that's her favorite snack. She might be a little anxious so this will cheer her up,I know it,he thought.

I'm pregnant.....with a baby, I wonder which genes she or he...or it might be they will inherit,Elaine pondered while sitting on the bed.

Will they have vampiric genes like us or wolf-like genes like my mother?she thought.

So,Arthur,what snack did you bring me today?she said.

One of your favorites,he said. Close your eyes and have a taste,I'll feed you,okay?he said.

Embarrassed Elaine said,Okay......Ah.. Mmm.

It's.......mixed berry yoghurt with diced dragon fruit,am I right?

Yeah,you got it right. Now eat up and we'll go to sleep,it's half past five in the morning,he said.

Elaine ate the snack thrice because she was so hungry.

Did you forget something,El? Arthur asked.

Uh.....no?she said. You forgot to drink blood remember?You don't like drinking it from humans or animals so I drained some of mine for you,he said looking sideways.

Elaine jolted out of bed and kissed him and said,Thank you,Arthur.You're the best. I....I love you.

I love you too El.....now go to bed,I want you to go to bed and sleep because you won't have enough sleep for tonight's job.

He kissed her forehead and they both went to sleep.

*yawn*where did Arthur go? Elaine asked herself. Oh.....he went on a mission to eliminate Level E's that have been sneaking out of our realm to the real world.

I don't feel so good.......*vomit*. Morning sickness. Urgh......damn it, I have to endure this every day,and to make matters worse Arthur forbade me to hang upside down while reading my novels in the dark,no drinking tequila, margaritas,wine,booze,rum not even coffee! Elaine shrunk as she was thinking about it.

Anyway,I better make myself something to eat, I'm starving, Elaine said to herself.

Huh?! What's this? A note.........*sigh*from Arthur,it said;

El,take a bubble bath when you wake up, I made you snacks and some food to eat, I'll cook for you when I'm back,remember what I said,no alcohol! I remembered to go Becka to get you some blood bags for your thirst because you're drinking for two now. It's in the freezer.

I know he's just looking out for me but he's way to overprotective,not even coffee cake,he knows that's one of my favorites then why?! Urgh......damn it,when you're pregnant,you have to give up a lot of things. Elaine shouted in frustration.

For her to calm down,she stuffed her face a fruit salad,then a tub of mocha cappuccino ice cream,then 2 litres of blood as dessert.

After that she took a bubble bath,then settled down to read some novels.

El.....El, I'm home,Arthur said. When she walked to the bedroom to search for her with a worried face,he saw her sleeping with a book on her chest and her long saffire blue hair strewn across the bed. He covered her and kissed her forehead. Goodnight El,he whispered.

When he went downstairs,he had a weird look on his face. He cooked some food,ate,took a bath and sat on the bedroom sofa. He pondered and looked at El's sleeping face and said, what genes will our child get because I don't want her or him to get dragged to what we went through,he sighed.

Forget it,I might as well take a nap before I go to check what's happening at HQ.

He slid into the blanket,hugged El tightly and went to sleep and said to himself, I will never betray neither you nor our child,that I promise you.

Five months later...

*vomit* For how long am I gonna take this?! Elaine said with frustration in her voice. I'm sick of coming here and just vomiting and retching every morning! Urgh......Being pregnant is hard. Now I have a belly. I can't wear shorts, I can only wear leggings and a big hoodie.

Hey,it's fine,El,you don't have to get all frustrated and stressed it's not good for the baby,Arthur soothed her.

But urgh..... ****,I've given up a lot of things even my job,my missions,almost everything I love,Elaine slumped on the floor. It's.....it's just too much!

Arthur grabbed her shoulders and forced a passionate kiss on her. When he let go,he kissed her forehead and said, El,it's gonna be fine...it'll be all worth it when our baby comes out to this world. Wouldn't you want a your junior self to call you Mother? So don't worry I'll be taking care of you and our baby okay? Now, let's brush our teeth,floss our fangs then go to sleep,okay,it's very late now, it's seven thirty five in the morning.

You understood what I said,right El? Arthur questioned. Hm-Hmm,answered Elaine.

Their did their before bed routine then tucked themselves to bed.

When am I going to sleep in my coffin again?asked Elaine. Until the baby has grown to a suitable age,okay?answered Arthur.

Okay,said Elaine. Then she drifted off to sleep.
