Chapter 1 - The Speech
Some say that if you are born into bad luck, no matter what you to to shake it off, it won't change a thing.
You'll still be unlucky, haunted by your ancestors mistakes and vile deeds. I didn't believe it at all at first but slowly, as I grew older, I did.
I'm someone who has been bathed with bad luck. My family name always brought anything but luck. My father was a drunk gambler and my mother died when I was young from an illness.
I slowly had enough of my father eating up our funds so I left him to start a new life in the city.
I got myself a job, a small apartment and I got into one of the best high school's on a scholarship.
I was on the top of the world, scoring marks that a young girl or boy could only dream of.
I attended nightly seminars and gained the respect of many professors who wrote recommendation letters for colleges and universities.
Finally, my luck was shining upon me.
However, everything went downhill when I met him.
It was the day of my graduation from high school. Everything was going well. My gown had arrived just on time and the train wasn't late.
My head turned when I saw my teacher frantically run towards me with a piece of paper.
Teacher A
There you are, child! Don't run away like that! Here, your speech cards. You forgot them in the faculty room!
I smiled and took them from my teacher's hands, giving her an ethereal smile.

Thank you, Miss. But I've already learnt my speech off by heart.

I thank you for running this far to give these to me.
I was an angel that radiated kindness. I was popular with boys and girls alike. My beautiful heart radiated wherever I went and no one ever saw me upset.

Teacher A
Oh, I'm going to miss you so much! As the best student council president I've known, you will always be the pride of this school.

Anyway, hurry on! You'll be late for the ceremony!
I nodded and quickly hurried on. As I walked down the corridors, eyes followed me and my simple smile.
A pair of girls two years under me walked up to me with tears in their eyes.
Girl B
Don't leave us! Stay for a little while longer!
I smiled sweetly and placed my hand onto the girl's head.
Raine Blake
All good things end. Both of you should concentrate on studying so that one day, we can meet again!
Both girls nodded excitingly.
Such innocent little girls. Seeing them refreshes my mind a little. If I was living in their privileged life, would I have turned out differently?
I guess that I'll never know...

Chapter 2 - The Kidnapping
It's time to say goodbye, I guess. After I give this speech, I'll no longer be a student here. That actually scares me.
The Head Master gave his speech and then stepped back, leaving the stage to me.
Getting up, I heard the silent sobs of most of the girls. Placing my hand onto the podium, I took in a deep breath and smiled.
Raine Blake
I did have a grand speech prepared for everyone here but I realised only a second ago that I could condense it into a single sentence.
Raine Blake
Go be someone.
Immediately, the whole room erupted in applause, putting a smile on my lips.
Raine Blake
I am Raine Blake, your student council president, and those are my final words.
Immediately after I spoke those words, the double doors flew open and suddenly, I heard the blades of a helicopter rotate around. A group of men slowly walked towards the stage.
Lifting up a photo, a man pointed towards me.
Laurie Jackson
Raine Blake, I presume.
Raine Blake
Yes, that is me. Can I help you?
Laurie Jackson
You've been summoned. Gentlemen...
The men came out from behind him and jumped onto the stage, grabbing my wrists and holding me painfully tight.

Head Master
What is the meaning of this?
Laurie Jackson
Ah, Head Master. Master Knightly sends his regards. He'll just be borrowing Miss Blake for a while.
Head Master

Picking me up, the men then threw me over their shoulders.

They brought me out to a helicopter where they fastened me into a seat.

After a long helicopter ride, I was put into a plane and I travelled to who knows where.

Where re you taking me?
Laurie Jackson
It's nice to meet you too, Miss Blake. My name is Laurie Jackson and my Master's name is Casper Knightly. He's the one that you now belong to. Congratulations.
Hold on, did he just say "belong"?
The very moment the plane landed, I was escorted out and into a black SUV. Am I being trafficked? I can't really try and run considering those men have GUNS in their belts.
Eventually, the car pulled up to a huge mansion double the size of my school.
The extravagant fountain reminded me that my kidnapper was rich. Very rich.
I was brought up some stairs and pushed into a room, where many maids rushed around me, changing my clothes and doing my makeup and hair.
Spraying my neck, the inside of my legs, and my chest with floral perfume, I was then put into a crepe white gown which was too revealing for comfort.
And there I sat on a king sized bed, waiting. I tried to open the door a few times but it was locked.
All I could do was wait. I tried to cover myself up but it was no use. The cloth was so small that I could barely cover the parts that mattered the most.
Then, the lock of the door turned and my breath was taken away from me when I came face to face with my captor.

I laid there, on the bed, my blue eyes glimmering in the beautiful moonlight as I watched my captor walk towards me.

Does this have to do with my father's debt?
The man then lifted my chin up, stealing my breath away. His hands were coarse and rough but were warm.
Casper Knightly
Your father owes me 700 million debt.

To continue gambling, he required some collateral and he offered you up immediately. He has now disappeared so you, the collateral, now become mine.
While we were having our conversation, Laurie snuck out of the room and shut the door.
