CHAPTER ONE || MONEY.

Riele's POV

"Beep, Beep!! urghhh....Who Made this thing. I swear this alarm clock is gonna give me a heart attack one of these days " i say as i roll off the floor. Well, well, well, another day, another morning, another time to work and another irritating manager. Anyways I laid my bed, tidied up the room and hopped in the shower to get started with my day. 15minutes later, i step out and got dressed in some jeans, a lana del ray crop shirt and some slippers . I tied my hair into a bun and set off to work. I know .i knowww i' m walking to the hotel where i work. Its only 30 minutes from here and i don't have money for an uber or taxi so that's it.

I walk fast to the staff quarters upon arriving and change into my attire which happens to be a white long sleeved button up shirt with a cute bow tie and a red floral skirt and set to work.

50 rooms down and 20 more rooms to go plus the lobby, Ana rushes to me panting like she just ran a marathon or something.

"Madam what's up? wait lemme guess; i have to cover for you for the 20th time this month" i said looking at her with the 'you've got to be kidding me' look.

"whoa! Calm down missy.. well yeah you have to cover for me again and i promise this time, i will tell you everything ok" She touched my shoulders reassuringly while waiting for my response.

" okay then . You better hurry . Now scoot, scaddadle- i have work to do" she immediately hugs me and runs to get changed. This girl will surely cause us trouble one day. hmm

Finally1!! its 5pm and i get to go home, eat and rest.Whew, today was one hell of a day..... I reached my house around around5:45 practically running to the kitchen in search of my food but go to meet an empty table and a crying woman. My mood changed to a worried one as i approach my mother.

" Mom, what's the problem? why are you crying" i said as i watched her try to clean her tears and there i know she is about to lie.

"i' m fine dear, how was work"

" Mooooomm" i growled out in anger as a warning for her to start talking.

"ok fine, my friends at the market refused to lend me anymore food stuffs because i haven't paid my old debts and the fan in my room too is not functioning properly" She says crying bitterly. I know she feels like a useless mother right now..poor woman

" Don't worry mom, everything will be fine. Lets just sleep on an empty stomach tonight okay" i told her massaging her shoulders and scalp to relax her.

"but my dear you left home on an empty stomach and -"

" No, nothing mom,,lets just go to bed .i will find a way out ok. Goodnight" i escorted her to the room,tucked her in, made sure she was asleep before going to mine. I closed my eyes after praying with one thought on my mind 'i have to find a way of getting some money'.

CHAPTER TWO || PROBLEM SOLVED,PROBLEM BROUGHT.

Shane's Pov

"Yo Luke, sup ? how you doing man" i said as i got myself a glass of whiskey.

" ya man i' m good, what bout you"

"Good bro. So tell me who is my hookup for the night? "

" oh i got you covered. I sent you her picture and details. Anyway her name is Anastasia"

" oh cool. Hope all the hospital stuff has been done. Don't wanna be contracting any diseases ya know" i know he's done that but i gotta be sure. i love my lifestyle too much to loose it.

" yeah, yeah well i got to go. She should be arriving any moment from now."

"thanks bro"

"i got you alright..bye"

"Bye" The doorbell rang the moment the call was disconnected. Well that's my cue. Let's see what we have here.

" Hi, i' m Ana, nice to meet you" A modern nigerian lady with black hair and a toned light brown skin and killer legs walked into my apartment.' Would you look at that' i thought. The lady immediately came to sit beside me and started kissing me. ' hasty"

"hold on hold on holllllddd on..just get to the bedroom and wait for me. Last bedroom down the hallway on your right okay." she then nodded,kissed me and strutted off to the room while i visited the kitchen for another glass of whiskey" This is gonna be a lonnnggg night i tell you.

TIME SKIP --- FOLLOWING MORNING

i entered the room to find the lady still asleep in my bed. It's 7am for crying out loud. i have to wake her up but what's her name again ? Sarah, Priscilla, Tasha ..wtF let me just hit her.

"hey, hey get the fuck up" i shook her hand forcefully causing her to stir and open her eyes.

" Hey babe, how was your night? Mind if we have a repeat of last night ? " She said winking and making me totally disgusted.

" Don't baby me, i' m not yours. Just wear your clothes and get outta my house"

"Calm down, chill okay. Let me go make us some breakfast for us" She sat up and started dressing getting reading to head for the kitchen.

"whoa stop right there. You have no right to use my kitchen okay. It's not part of the contract. Now take your money and disappear from here" I opened my drawer, threw the money to her and walked out not before seeing her scoff and later shrugging her shoulders at the sight of the money in her hands. Hmm THESE BITCHES AND MONEY

Riele's Pov

I was busily humming a song and cleaning a painting cut nicely into a frame when Ana came dancing happily.

" Hey girl what's up"

" ooooo i' m happy. Anyway this is to say thank you for your cover ups this month" She proceeds to hand me a bundled up money she took from her purse

" Holy wakamoly. What the - where did you get such a huge amount of ready" i'm really surprised because 25,000 naira is one heck of money.

" well, let's just say my job pays off really well. Now go use that to pay off some debts okay"

" Aww thanks a lot babe. Love you girl" Nearly in tears, i hugged her really tight. She is such a darling.

" Love you too. You might wanna continue cleaning before that creepy manager finds something to taunt you with"

" yeah. See you later" I smile as i focus on my cleaning.

TIME SKIP ***

" Good evening mom. I brought the electrician with me" i said upon meeting her at the door.

"For what"

" The fan, remember"

" ohh yeah sorry dear i forgot. You may come in with em young man.

30 minutes later the fan was fixed ,mom went to pay her debts and even got extra for foodstuffs to keep us going for a month and a half. I settled down to eat when mom walked into the dining room.

"Riele have you guys been paid your salary?"

" No mom why ? "

"i' m just wondering how you got such a huge amount of money "

"oh that, Ana gave it to me . I guess her second job really pays off well"

"oh wow, i think you should discuss things with her and get that job too"

" i've been thinking about it a lot too . I surely will '

" well then, i'm retiring to bed early. I need a nice sleep with this fan because i've been tied up in heat for too long"

" Goodnight . Love you mom. I retire to bed also right after that and drift off to sleep happy.

CHAPTER THREE || LETS ROCK IT.

Riele's Pov

Another morning, another day, another blah, blah, blah...urgghh. Well, time to go to work. I got dressed, ate and went to speak to my mom when i heard noises outside. Curiosity gets the better of me and i decide to skip seeing my mom to go check out what's happening . I step out and to my surprise i find a man angrily talking to my mom. From the look of his face, it seems like he even wants to eat her. Man, the guy's face is really bad.It's even funny.Now back to business

" wait, wait, wait wait.. what is going on here ? " i say as i step into the conversation.

" Ah!! So you don't even know who i am or what's going on? " The gorilla- faced man said.

" erhm, excuse me! Am i supposed to know you. Mom wants going on here"

" See, she doesn't even respect "

" My dear, nothing is wrong Just go to work'

" Now will you all just shut up and someone tell me something "i shouted sending a signal to the man to stop blabbering and speak.

" If you must know, your mother owes me money. Money she collected from me to pay off your father's funeral expenses"

" Susanne Marie Lawrence what is all this !!! " i' m actually disappointed and stressed out with all the debts that keep coming .

" You know what, give us a week, we will settle everything" i try to plead with the man putting on my best puppy dog eyes and that seems to do the trick because he agrees but not before growling in anger and later stalking off whispering curse words. Only the heavens knows what he is saying but he better pray i don't hear him because if i do, oh save me dear lord.... i sure will whoop his ass. Without sparing a glance at my mom, i set out to work.

" You better get your act together i' m getting sick and tired of you. I ain't gonna wait forever, you better do it or ----"

" hey, hey, hey better shut that trap of yours which is disturbing the whole hotel. I mean your voice isn't even --'

" Mr Simon please what is it ? i was just cleaning the -"

"La la la la .don't even talk. Have you even cleaned this thing well? " he said touching the furniture i was cleaning before sizing me up.

"Lazy bones, if you don't get back to work i will just fire you, nonsense" He stalks off immediately and i also go straight to the staff room to clear my head and thankfully i find my best friend there packing up towels.

" Girl, what is with the long face now"

" isn't it that manager again" frowning isn't really my thing but i'm frustrated so i scrunch up my face for her to know that i' m not okay.

" Ah, so he is still harassing youu? I think you should give in"

"What are you saying?"

" You know what i mean, Just give him what he wants'

"never ! this old fool. No. To hell with that"

" Alright then just forget it" Ewww this old manager. Thinking about it just gives me goosebumps.

"Let's talk about something else"

" okay. What's up"

"That reminds me , i want to be part of that part - time job of yours. I really need that extra money".

" Really, why though"

" Mom borrowed money from one freaky guy for dad's funeral and he is now at her throat for the money"

"Oh my!! That's something else. But are you sure because it involves a little body part" She says scratching her head as if she just got bitten by a mosquito

"I'm not doing prostitution. na dah! it ain't working babe. Try again"

" Oh come on Rie, do you want mom to be imprisoned or you are gonna sacrifice your body?" My mom deserves to be happy. She's been grieving since died and --

" helloo, are you there"

" oh yeah"

" Welcome back to planet earth. How was your trip to space? "

(rolling eyes) " Whatever.. i will do this"

" Really, whooo let's get ready to go shopping "

"Oh boy. Here we go" We collected our stuff, changed and stepped out of the hotel since our shift was over.

" whoooooooooooooo. on guard mate.. we've got a lot of shopping to do"
