My Friends Husband Is My Soulmate

Inhospitable landlord

3rd person POV

It was a rainy afternoon, and the it was the usual time of office workers to get back to their homes. During this time public transportation was really slow and it was better to go for a walk.

Alaska was walking down the sidewalk in a very cold state. She was shivering with her hair all wet as she had forgot her umbrella. Also her clothes were wet showing her under garments.

"Darn... I should have brought a fricking umbrella, I thought I was forgetting something." Alaska said in her head as she was cursing herself.

"When I go home, I am going to take a hot bath and forget of my crazy day." Alaska sighed as she continued walking home.

After walking for another 20 minutes Alaska reached her home and hurriedly removed her heels so that she can take a hot bath.

After about 15 minutes in the bath, Alaska got out and draped herself with a towel. She then went to her room and put on some home clothes and went out to the kitchen to cook herself something.

Suddenly the doorbell rang, so Alaska went to check it out. She saw her landlord outside the door, and she remembered that she didn't pay the fees. She turned of all the lights and acted as nobody was there.

"I saw you come into the apartment, and I have a spare key with me.... You better let me in." The landlord shouted so that Alaska can hear.

Alaska sighed, she knew that her childish doings wouldn't save her from her overdue fees. She opened the door for the landlord and let her into the home.

The landlord was a middle aged man that did not have a very good temper control. He especially did not like when people had overdue fees, he kicked them out not caring about what will happen to them.

"Alaska, you better pay your dues right here and right now, otherwise I would have to kick you out." Said the landlord in anger.

"But sir, please let me have at least a week's worth of time to settle the dues." Alaska asked in a submissive time to the landlord.

"Since you do not have your dues right here and right now, I guess I have to kick you out. I will give you an hour's time to pack your clothes... Nothing more nothing less." The landlord said

Alaska went to pack her clothes, and everything which she owned (she didn't own much as she thought it would be a hassle and it would waste her time and money).

She packed her belongings, put on a leather jacket, and stood in front of the landlord to say something.

"Before I leave, I want to thank you for being a great landlord and letting me live in this wonderful home." She said in a full tone of sarcasm

She did a roundhouse kick, and kicked him straight in the side of the abdomen.

"Bye, see you never... Oh, and don't forget to apply ice to that wound" She said in tone full of contempt and sarcasm.

Going to a Hotel

3rd person POV

Outside it was dark/stormy, looking like it would just engulf in sadness. The fresh rain was sitting in puddles of mud on the downtown streets. The wind was harsh and caused hypothermia to anyone not wearing a jacket.

Alaska came outside of the apartments, and dragging herself to the nearest bench. As she didn't own that much stuff, she didn't have to drag a lot of items. As Alaska sat on the dewy bench, she was trying to figure out what to do in this situation.

"Maybe I can go to a nearby hotel, rest for the night, and then figure out what to do." Alaska thought.

"Okay, I'm going to do just that... I don't want to sleep on this icky bench." Said Alaska in her mind.

"Why couldn't my landlord have just let me go... Ugh." Alaska's mind screamed of insults.

As Alaska was making her way to a hotel, when she found a penny face side up.

"I'm not lucky, stupid penny... Hopefully it can give me good luck." Alaska sighed.

Alaska took the luggage with her to the nearest hotel she could find.

She dragged her suitcase behind her grudgdly, and found the receptionist standing in the hotel lobby with nobody around. Alaska went up towards the receptionist and asked for a room.

The receptionist then asked her for $50 and then gave her a gold key and said 5th floor. Alaska thanked her and went to the elevator.

When Alaska stepped into the elevator, she saw a familiar figure standing right next to her. He then recalled that he was her senior Miley. She then started up a conversation.

"Yo, Miley. Wassup dude," Alaska called out.

The man looked at Alaska and recognized her instantly. He then responded back to her.

"Oh, hey Alaska. I never expected to see you here." Miley said.

"Same." Alaska said

"We should catch up some time, here's my phone number." Miley said "See you later."

"You too" Alaska sighed

Alaska finally went to her room and fell on the bed. It was a really tiring workday, and a really tiring night. She then reluctantly made her aldready neat bed the way she wanted it, changed into comfortable clothes to sleep in, and then fell on the smooth and silky bed.

"What the hell should I do." Said Alaska as she slowly drifted of to sleep, and her eyes shut instantly.

Hi guys, sorry for such a short chapter. I didn't really know what to put so I put these details, but thanks for the support!!

Love you guys, Bye my dudes!!

Asking a Friend for Help

Alaska's POV

It was a fresh and warm morning with the sun falling on my face. I woke up to loud vaccum cleaning noises outside my hotel room door.

"Uuuugh, I want to sleep for more time." I said groggily as those cleaning noises were really disturbing.

I lazily opened my eyes as I tried to move my body, and then a sudden second later, I was interrupted by a knock on my door.

"Room service, we came to clean rooms, can I clean yours." The room cleaning lady asked.

I didn't want to get out of the room just yet, but the lady needed to do her job right, so I just let her in.

After she came in, I left the room to do a morning walk. I went to the lobby, got some warm coffee from the mini area near the front desk on this now turned chilly morning and went on outside.

I never knew why I chose to live in a city, but cities are busy and nobody ever knows what's going on. that's the good thing as I was a very secretive person and rarely shared anything with anyone.

I started to walk around the corner when I realized something instantly.

"Shoot, I need to find a place to live by tomorrow... Stat." I realized

Thoughts started rushing through my head as I panicked because I couldn't possibly get a place by tomorrow.

"Ugh... What should I do." I said as I was banging my head against the wall of a red bricked apartment.

I decided to go to the park where I could sit in the thinking tree and think about what to do. The thinking tree was a tree deep in the trails of the park that nobody knew about. When I was little, my dad taught me how to build so that came in handy when I found this beautiful tree with a lot of ample space to build a platform where I could be frustrated, and think to myself. I know you might think I'm childish, but it actually works.

I climbed the thinking tree's barely visible ladder and sat on the small ledge I built on the tree and started thinking.

'Maybe I can live in the thinking tree I thought... Nah it's not safe and it's dangerous to live in.' I thought

'Maybe I can call my friends.... Alaska you genius, your on to something right there.' I told my inner mind

'Which one should I call... Wait, I can call Kimmy and ask her for some help. Surely she can help me.' I thought finally relived that I thought of something

I quickly take my phone out of my pocket, and race to check her number on my phone. I then click on her contact and call her.

Phone conversation:

"Hello" Kimmy said

"Hello" I reply back

"I need a favor" I said as I bit my lip

"What's wrong, do you need some money." She said concerndly to me.

"No, I jjjuust nn-eed a pplace to stay." I said while stuttering to her

"Okay, you can stay at my place with me and my husband." She said cheerfully

"I wouldn't want to be a third wheel." I said back to her.

"Don't worry Alaska, we both are so busy with our jobs anyway. Plus all the lovey dovey things we do are when we go on a date every month, so you basically have a whole house to yourself." She said to me reassuringly

"Phew thanks." I say in a tone full of relief

"No problem, tell me your address and I'll pick you up tomorrow." She said

"Okay... Thanks dummy, I owe you big time." I said

"Forget it, you've helped me a lot thourghout childhood, plus this is what good friends should do." She said.

"Okay... Bye." I said as I cut the call.

End of phone conversation:

I entered my hotel details and the address of where she should pick me up in our messages chat.

I then got out of the thinking tree, and headed back to the hotel to go to my room and relax for a while.
