(This is my first time writing so please point out any mistakes I make. Sorry for any grammar problems.)
On a cloudy afternoon with piercing winds that felt like it could start raining at any moment stood a group of youths that looked like they were in their early teens as they surrounded another child while ruthlessly beating him. Any adults walking past this scene let out a sigh mixed with pity and relief that it wasn’t happening to them as the nervously hurried past.
“Trash” The youth who looked like the leader of the group shouted while the children behind him just sniggered and shouted random insults at the young boy who was looking at this group of youths with a face full of confusion.
“Who gave you permission to see Lin Xiao” when he finished this sentence he viscously kicked him in his stomach.”I told you I would make you wish you were dead if I saw you together.” With obvious killing intent letting out a barrage of powerful kicks and punches to the area around Bei Fengs abdomen. He only stops his attacks when Bei Feng spits out blood.
“Boss is so strong .”
“Of course he is he is the number one genius of our city.”
“Yeah, he is also the young master of the Chu family.”
As all the children shamelessly compliment Chu Xiang trying to get on his good side. Even though he looks like he doesn’t care about the compliment a small curve of his lips can be seen. But who wouldn’t do this Chu Xiang in the young master of the Chu family who are one of the most influential family’s only second to the city lord. Being on their good side can bring unimaginable benefits to them. They only decide to leave when Bei Feng can even resist the attacks anymore and is lying in a Poole of his own blood with a lifeless expression.
As their voices get weaker and weaker only then does Bei Feng get up. Feeling a sudden pain in his head that overwhelmes all the pain he just felt he try’s to remember what happened to him.
He was the Immortal king, The strongest person in the the world.
With unrivaled power he joined up all the factions of power and merged them together to make the Destiny Sect after ruling the sect with an iron fist for millenniums the one thing he couldn’t beat was time.
While lying on his death bed he used his ultimate technique which he has been perfecting for thousands of years it allowed him to be reborn in a random body.
He was reborn as a Trash with a destroyed danitan and ruined meridians and zero talent for cultivation. He is the undisputed number one trash of the city.
Finally realizing what happened he was relived it worked, but had unending fury for what happened just now.
The moment he is reborn he gets beaten by some children. What crappy joke was that.
In his own world unaware of what’s going on around him he is suddenly awoken from his trance as he notices a soft hand with calluses, probably from over working. A shaky voice filled with worry comes from behind “Little Feng what happened, are you alright” she suddenly moves forward and gives him a big hug with tears forming in her eyes.”It’s alright, I’m alright”. For unknown reasons probably because of the feelings of the host when he saw the worried expression of his mother he felt a feeling in his heart that he hadn’t felt in millenniums. Love. Pure love not with any ulterior motives, just pure love for her child.
After reassuring his mother that he is alright, his mother helps him up and supports him on her shoulder while they are slowly walking away. After walking in silence for a few minutes they finally reach a small worn down house on the edge of town. When they finally entered the house Bei Feng lets out a sigh of relief as he finds his way towards his bed. Once he lies down he instantly falls asleep.
“Bei Feng” after waiting for a few moments his mam called again “Bei Feng get up, you’ll be late for school at this rate” Confused Bei Feng opens his eyes while checking the hosts memory he rembers he has school. After a few minutes he finally wakes up and quickly gets changed and ready for school. Although he doesn’t need to go as he knows all of what would be thought, but he is still in a body of a normal child who goes to school.
After a few minutes of contemplation he ultimately decides to go to school. He needs to find out what the historic and geographic state of the world is in during the current time period.
After rushing towards school he finally arrived at a small building, it looked quite old. When he was walking towards the school he is stopped by another young man who is shorter and more plump than Bei Feng his name was Fu Jing this body’s best freind.
He is the only person who doesn’t make fun of him in his class. They met when they were younger, Fu Jing was being bullied but Bei Feng jumped out to defend him. Ever since then they always hung out and became best friends. “Are you alright. I heard about what happened with Chu Xiang”. He asks in a worried tone.” I’m alright, don’t worry” Sure how could a little scrub like that hurt and Immortal king. After reassuring Fu Jing they hurriedly speed walked to school.
After entering the school Bei Feng and Fu Jing walk towards their seats in the back left of the class. When Bei Feng glances around the room he could see lots of dust on the desks and cobwebs near the corner of the roof.
After waiting in his seat for class to start Chu Xiang enters the class and sees Bei Feng talking to Fu Jing as if nothing happened. Annoyed he walks towards Bei Feng and kicks him off his chair. “Haha look at this trash. What’s the point of him coming here if he can’t cultivate.” Chu Xiang mocks Bei Feng while everyone in the class laughs at him.
Bei Feng was originally going to ignore Chu Xiang but he attacked him first so Bei Feng won’t show any mercy to him. While Chu Xiang is mocking Bei Feng, he doesn’t notice him picking up a pencil that fell when Chu Xiang kicked Bei Feng.
When Chu Xiang is getting ready to kick Bei Feng again Bei Feng quickly rolls away and stabs Chu Xiang foot with a pencil.
Even though he is weaker in cultivation he has much more experience and is much more cunning that Chu Xiang. After stabbing him Bei Feng quickly jumps up and quickly kicks the back of Chu Xiangs legs. While Chu Xiang is still in shock from the pencil he doesn’t notice Bei Feng behind him about to kick his leg and when he does it is already too late as he is already lying down on the ground with blood coming from his leg.
“What is going on here!” The teacher suddenly enters the room stopping Bei Feng from snapping Chu Xiangs spine in two. While everyone is still in shock from what just happened they quickly regain composure. “Teacher Bei Feng suddenly attacked Chu Xiang for no reason”
“What!” asks the teacher while looking at the scene. Thinking there’s no way Bei Feng could beat him normally so it is probably true.
Even if it’s not true he will still get in trouble for letting Chu Xiang get wounded. He quickly picks Chu Xiang and gives him a recovery pill which he just managed to buy with his wages. Furious, the teacher glares at Bei Feng who just nonchalantly sat back in his seat.
Bei Feng at this point is just thinking about the competition Fu Jing mentioned taking place in one month where the first prize is a pill furnace and a set of high grade materials. “Bei Feng do you have anything to say to this!” The teacher furiously shouts while saliva hits Bei Fengs face.
“So what if I did this he attacked me first ” after hearing his reply the teacher got even more angry and starts screaming at Bei Feng about how stupid he is and ultimately decides to put him in the dungeon for two weeks.
“What two weeks” one boy with curly hair said before adding on “are you sure he won’t go insane in there.”
The dungeon in basically like a cell with absolutely no light and no human contact. The food is poured down a tube before falling on the dirty ground where people went to the toilet as there’s no place to go to the toilet there either.
Bei Feng thinks about this and gets extremely excited but stops a smile from forming on his face. It is basically a paradise where he can cultivate and fix his dantian with no one interrupting him. He quickly puts on a sad face and sits back down without saying anything. While others are thinking he is really sad and is full of regret he actually didn’t speak so to hide his excitement.
He will be going there in one week and staying there for two weeks while the competition will take place in one month so he will still have one week spare. But even if he can fix his dantian and cultivate it will make nearly no difference as he has zero talent for cultivation. Talent for cultivation is split into different grades : -Zero talent
-Low grade talent
-Middle grade talent
-High grade talent
-Pinnacle grade talent
-Peerless grade talent
-Heavenly grade talent
-Godly talent
Bei Feng has zero talent for cultivation so he will have to cleanse his meridians so that Qi can flow through his body faster. The dantian stores the Qi while the meridians determine how fast the Qi can go through the body. That’s why it determines talent if you have high grade talent your cultivation will go several times faster then someone with meddle grade talent.
He will need to use a special acupuncture technique which allows him to unblock his meridians thus allowing him to have a better aptitude(talent) for cultivation.
Acupuncture needles are generally quite expensive. A decent set will cost 15 gold coins. That would be like pocket change for someone like Chu Xiang but for him that’s his family’s whole fortune several times over. The only way for him to make enough money is to hunt magical beasts and sell their hide, claws etc. in the forest.
“Do you want me to go to Mr. Tang and tell him what really happened, if not I’m afraid two weeks in there will be too much.” Waking Bei Feng from his trance he quickly replies “don’t worry it’s only two weeks. I’ll be alright”
Fu Jing stares at him blankly as if he said something unimaginable . “Do I have something on my face?” Bei Feng asks Fu Jing. “No never mind.” He quickly replies and looks back up at the whiteboard.
After that incident the class is finally starting. From the lessons he could figure out that it is ten thousand years after he died and the destiny sect is but a fairy tale. From the several wars in the time he was gone the geographical state of the world has changed greatly.
After school ends when he gets home, he looks for any item that he could be used to hunt magical beasts
but to no avail.
He finally decides to go and buy one in the market. Although he has little to no hope. He still breaks open his piggy bank with his life savings . 1 silver 24 bronze coins.
This is after living a frugal life for sixteen plus years. “Oh god just how poor is this family.” Bei Feng thinks as he says goodbye to his mother and sets off to the market.
(Changing from long paragraphs to shorter ones. Tell me if it’s better.)
With his lifetime savings in a little pouch on his waist Bei Feng gets ready to go to the market.
When he arrives at a long street with stalls at either side and various different things being sold.
Walking past a food stall with a lovely aroma compared to what Bei Feng eats with mother.
Bei Feng feels his stomach growling and grips the money in the pouch before quickly walking away.
Walking for a bit longer he finally finds a stall with some old weapons on a table in bad condition.
“Is this really the only place that sells cheap weapons in this market street?”Seeing the old and unkept weapons in the table unconvinced.
Looking at the various weapons on the table his main focus are swords.
His main weapon he used before reincarnating was swords.
Looking at the swords not really seeing anything Bei Feng asks the stall owner.
“Do you have anything else that I can buy?” With almost no hope when he asks this she replies.
”We have one but I doubt you’d want it.” The shopkeeper pulled out a sword that almost looks completely brown from the rust.
Bei Fengs eyes almost light up noticing what the shopkeeper is holding.
“How much?” Staring at the shopkeeper with eyes full of expectation.
The shopkeeper looked at Bei Feng as if he’s an idiot. “40 bronze coin.”
“Deal.” Quickly handing her the money Bei Feng takes the rusted blade and starts running back home.
After running at top speed for a few minutes Bei Feng entered his house and immediately sprints up the stairs and sits on his bed.
“Is this what I think it is?” Staring at the blade in his hand examining it.
“It actually is a progressive sword spirit.”
A progressive sword spirit is a blade that the more you kill with it the stronger it gets.
The reason they get stronger is because when you kill someone with it their soul get trapped in the blade using their power.
They start as extremely rusted
swords but can reach unimaginable heights with apparently no limit.
Regretting he never used one because of how rare they are and when he finally found one he already had good weapons.
There are the Original blades which are extremely rare and old.
People say the Original blades were crafted by the gods in their most dire moments.
One god used the blades to kill another god sealing his soul.
This blade is one of the celestial blades on earth and apparently it was lost forever.
Of course there are remakes and are still rare but cannot reach levels as high as an Original blade forged from the gods.
Lots of small nobles wouldn’t be able to afford them and would use normal weapons instead.
Although Bei Feng is excited about this he is still worried about whether it is actually a progressive sword or an old rusty blade.
“It’s time for dinner” Bei Fengs mother is shouting towards his room.
“Coming” quickly calling back he walked towards the kitchen.
“How was you day?”
“It was good.”
“What about you?”
“My day was also good.”
After a few more minutes of talking Bei Feng and his mother quickly put away their food. Walking back to his room Bei Feng was thinking about how he should rebuild his dantian.
Even though Bei Fengs meridians are still blocked it doesn’t stop him from rebuilding his dantian.
Bei Feng sits on his bed thinking about what technique he should use.
After a while he finally decided on a technique called the “Field of Life” it affects the whole body rebuilding any damaged parts of the body.
The only draw back is that to rebuild his dantian he has to destroy it and rebuild it over and over which results in terrible pain.
“Damn, do I really have to use this.”
Bei Feng was contemplating whether he should switch techniques.
“None are as effective as this one though.” Most of his other techniques just heal it and not rebuild thus not completely fixing it unlike the “Field of Life”.
After preparing himself he sits cross legged on his bed. Finally activating “Field of Life” he feels a warm current going around his body followed by extreme pain.
“GOD DAMN THIS HURTS!”
Gritting his teeth trying not to scream and alert his mother.
After rolling around with a cloth in his mouth so he can stop him self from screaming it finally ends after 3 hours of intense pain.
Gasping on the floor completely out of breath Bei ageing slowly sits up and lies down for a few minutes.
“It shouldn’t have been that bad unless I was poisoned or something.”
Bei Feng shook his head and went to the most pressing matter at hand.
Sitting cross legged on his bed he starts looking through his techniques to see what he should use.
The problem in his last life was that he had an unstable foundation.
“Ok I’ve decided. ‘The void technique’ this is one of Bei Fengs best technique for cultivation.
He never got to use it as he was already past the point where he could use it.
“Okay let’s start” letting his mind go blank Bei Feng started using the void technique.
The void technique allows someone to pull Qi from the void which is infinite. Resulting in being able to cultivate nearly anywhere.
After using the technique for a few minutes he started to get a warm feeling in his lower dantian.
Realizing he started to gather Qi he continued his cultivation with a big grin clearly showing on his face.
Originally he was just going to store the Qi in his dantian until he fixed his meridians.
“Screw it, let me try circulating it around my body”
Deciding to try circulate it he surprisingly feels the warmness in his dantian get smaller and start moving around his body.
Confused at how this was possible Bei Feng tries to think about how he did this.
“I forgot the ‘field of life also effects the meridians.”
Obviously the didn’t effect it too much as he was focused on his dantian and not his meridians.
“They should be at least mid grade talent now”
Bei Feng ultimately decides to wait for his accupucture treatment as it is most effective.
Bei Feng is already very excited about this so he decided to continue cultivating.
“This is gonna be a long night.”
