The week has quickly passed, and Jon needs to fulfill his word to Charlie. "You will be picking me up later, right?" He looked at his dad with bright eyes, expecting a positive answer. The boy always wanted to spend time with his dad, since they barely spend time together due to Jon's busy schedule. "I will." He said. "I am going to pick you up and we'll have a great dinner at Viu de Monché," he made a deal with him by doing a pinkie swear. He then kissed his son's forehead and waved goodbye.
Maurice drove Charlie to school early in the morning, as he usually does. As the family driver, he usually also picks him up in the afternoon and takes him home. Maurice is a very nice man. His calm face wrinkles when he smiles, and Charlie sees him like a second father.
As Jon went to the master's and prepared for work, he couldn't keep himself from remembering the woman he saw on Monday. He was a bit sure it was her, but he needs to confirm for himself. He was unable to let go of the thought the entire morning.

Just like any other Fridays, Catherine was rushing to school in the morning. She took the public bus for the nth time, though she was never satisfied with the service. She would either have complaints about the driver, or the route, or the other passengers. But then she always tells herself, "It is much better than walking." Cathy, as most people call her, has never bought a car of her own. At thirty two, she was able to buy her mom a red Honda sedan, and her dad, a black Toyota truck. She is a hardworking lady, as everyone who knows her would say.
"Good morning!" She greeted the kids with the same lovely smile. "Happy Friday!" she added with excitement. Her hair isn't tied up in a bun today, but she still looks effortlessly neat and pretty with a beige headband that matches her top. She wears a light beige turtleneck top, which happens to have long sleeves, paired it with dark blue jeans. The kids were excited too. She always reads books out loud to them and they love it. Cathy is very good at playing with the toys in the room to make each story telling activity fun, and interactive. "And they both lived happily ever after," she closed the book. The kids were all smiling at that certain time, as if their dreams have come true. "Now," she paused, "I will be seeing you all on Monday." she added. "See you on Monday." The kids said in unison. "Off you go," she waves goodbye to each child as they go out the room one by one, as they were all being picked up by parents and drivers.
The last kid goes out, she noticed a cerulean blue coloured jug, with a name on it. "Charleston Dale Albertson". She ran outside and shouted his name, hoping that the kid or the driver will hear. "Charlie! You left this, honey!" Charlie went back running to her, and the man who is holding his hand turned. Everything has seemed to stop. It was Jon, wearing a white and blue striped sweater, and grey trousers. Jon started walking towards her, and everything seemed to be moving at a very slow pace. It was the most awkward moment of their lives, and as Charlie grabs the jug from her hand, she did not make a move and continued to stare at Jon. The two were staring at each other as if it was love at first sight, and for a short while, they remembered how it all happened, how they met, and how it came to this day. Right here, right now.
The opening ceremony went well, and it was not all fun for Jon. His dad made sure he introduces him to a lot of beautiful ladies in the event. Daughters of business partners, some of political families and others from the clientele.
Before they headed home, Keith asked his son. "Did you find anybody attractive, at least?" "Well yes, I did." He smiled. "Now that's good," his father smiles at him back, knowing that his son is up to something. "If you happen to like any of the ladies, you can let me know" he whispered and led him off to the car. Jon is not living with his dad. He owns the top floor at a luxurious residential tower in the heart of the city. While his dad went off with a driver, he went home alone, in his unit. "Good evening sir," his housekeeper, Lee, greeted him with a smile. "Good evening," he said in reply. "That event is really tiring" he continued, as he sat on the couch and took of his shoes. "Would you like anything, at all?" Lee asked. "A cup of tea will be nice." As Jon sipped a cup of tea, he tries to remember all the women that his father introduced earlier in the hotel. "Lee, " he called him "Yes sir," "If my father owns the hotel," he cut him off "In fact he does, sir. And you are to run it the future." And so Jon continued "Will it be a bit off if I date a staff?" Lee looked at him, with little to no expression found in his eyes. "There's a beautiful young girl who works as an attendant. I guess I like her." "Sir," he replied, with an assuring voice. "It may be complicated because she is bound by certain rules of the company. Such as a manager cannot be in a relationship with a subordinate, I am not quite sure if there would be any violations on her end if you two go on romantic dates." Lee has not finished college, but is intellectual at some point. He had two years in a six-year course, and it wasn't too bad at all. "I see," Jon said, and right after he finished his cup of tea, he went off to the balcony to relax. "I'll just be here, you can go to bed, Lee." "Thank you sir," he said politely. "But if you'll need anything, I'll be there A.S.A.P." they both smiles and Lee said, "Goodnight" and turned the bright lights off, leaving the place with only night lights on.
Hours have passed, the young lady from the hotel goes to the supermarket with her uniform on. "Hi, Catherine" a male customer is trying to start a conversation. "How did you..." he cut her off, pointing to the name pin near her chest. "It's a bit awkward when you do not take your name off there, and gets shocked when a cute guy like me calls it" he smiled, looking at her as if he is studying her body. She turned, and went in the opposite direction. "Hey, are you afraid? My name's Luke. We can probably be friends." His tone of voice was not so friendly, and she got really scared. "Oh no, it's almost midnight." she thought to herself as she looked at the wall clock. He followed her and grabbed her by the right arm. "What are you doing?" she almost shouted at him. "I am just trying to make friends," he said, but she noticed however, that his eyes were fixed on her breasts. He was trying to seduce her this time, "I can be very friendly even if you take that name off. Much better if I help you take everything off." He looked at her very closely, as if he wanted to kiss her.
She immediately slapped his cheek, and ran out of the store. She was running so fast that she bumped into another man, and as she looks at his face slowly, she realizes she has seen him before. "Sir? I am sorry, there's a guy" the voice of Luke can be heard shouting. "Catherine!" she started breathing heavily, "There's not much people outside at this time of the evening. Might as well spend the night with me lovey!" She was shaking, and Jon can see the fear right through her eyes. "Get in the car" he told her, and she did. "What's wrong mate?" he asked Luke as he was standing near his car. "See, I got this cute little chick, she ran away and I'm off to find her." Jon can sense that the guy has been drinking, and he answered him "I suppose you shouldn't be scaring a woman off." Luke has been studying Jon for a few seconds and took a knife off his vest. "Give me the girl, I know you got her." Jon's eyes widened with shock, as he explained, "See she's not in here." "She could not run so fast" It was obvious that he was not believing him. "Give me Catherine!" Luke pushed him to the ground, and as he fell, he pointed the knife to him and lifted his right hand holding the knife. He was about to stab him when Jon kicked his chest, grabbed his arm and punched it. The impact made it hard for him to keep on holding the knife. It fell down and Jon kicked it, hid it under the car. He gave him another punch and let him fall to the ground. And quick enough, he got in the car and clicked something from under the driver's seat. It was an emergency button, which sends a signal to the nearest police station. As a son of one of the richest men in the city, he always had a privilege of security. Though he has always rejected the idea of having bodyguards, his father made sure that all his cars will have the same security feature. Not so long and the police came, and a female officer was interviewing Catherine. "He was very scary, and he was about to attack me when I ran off." "I see, good thing you have been saved by.." Jon cut the officer off, "I saw her running out of the grocery store. I was about to grab some ice cream and then it happened." He didn't want her to know who he was. " Thank you, sir. I owe you my life," she looked at him, teary eyed. "You almost got killed." "It's all right," he assured her. "We'll take him to the detainee division and you can file cases tomorrow morning, mister.." he interrupted a male officer this time, "Jon, call me Jon, please. Thank you." He looked back at her. "So your name is Catherine," she nodded, "I might take you home, where do you live, by the way?" He offered, but she refused. "Thank you sir, but my parents house is three miles away from here, and it's really late." I guess I'll try to sleep at my friend's." "No way," he said "Come on, I'll take you somewhere else. It's been a long day, and you need to get some real rest." They got into the car, and he drove away with some country music in the background.
