"We used to be so close

In the beginning the distance between us was so close.

Your place was just in front of mine.

However our relationship, our feelings were lost more with the pass of the time, we ended up moving away.

We went from talking every day to stop talking to us definitely.

We were so close but so far away at the same time.

You were so cold with me, so distant, that I believed that over the years we would never meet again.

We were so far...more than before but at the end of the road we meet again.

You know something? We forgot that the world is round and that someday..we would see each other again"

-The beginning of everything-



It was just a common sunny day, at the school everyone starting to sit down in their places and talk to each other. Such a boring, simple, normal and typical day.

Sometimes I wonder if this routine can change or happen somethings different, but here's the question What we call something different? Is something out of the ordinary? Like what? May your favorite artist come? Let your enemy speak to you and be your friend? A fight? I don't know but I want something that change this routine. At least I have little time to get out of this high school.

Sometimes I would like to change my routine of everyday. Aren't you bored of always doing the same? My life is great but I don't know...I think it could be better.

—Miss Carter!—That voice brings me out of my thoughts. Then I look up and I realize is the teacher of literature. Oh damn! I forget the homework and I hope that's not what she will ask for.

—Hello, good morning Teacher Gina—I exclaim without knowing what to say

—Good morning, Sarah, did you realize that you were going to crash?—

—¿What?—Of what she's talking about?

—Oh gosh! Miss Carter pay attention to what you do—she make a pause for a bit then she continue—.Whatever, enter fast to your class, you have between 5 minutes to arrive—she said a little annoyed

—I'm sorry Teacher, see you later— say also with annoyance.

I walk to my classroom and I cannot believe I was going to crash with the door. It's the first time that happened to me, it would have been interesting, maybe I'd have not to deal with another class of History, I have found bored that subject always and more as my teacher Frank taught, he spends the whole week talking about the same subject. That's so fucking terrible!!

Immediately Zoey Hudson, my best friend comes so we stay in the hall of school and actually we are few steps far away from our classroom.

—Hello Sarah, how was your weekend?—she say very happy (of course as always) sometimes I wish I was always as happy as she, I'm not saying that I'm not happy but sometimes I arrive at school sleepy, lazy, bored, upset or things like those...but not in an awesome mood as she is.

—Oh Hello Zoey... Well, as usual again we went to the park with my sister—my younger sister Sabrina always wants to spend time in the park and I have to go her or anyhow my parents would think I'm a typical girl who doesn't want to go anywhere and stay in bed watching her favorite series or videos, well I'm like this but I have to go out and let that behind.

—Oh Sarah I don't think that's to bad at all—she makes a pause—,Whatever, I have to tell you something, guess where I went?—She says enthusiastically

—I don't know. Where?—I say without showing interest

—Oh come on Sarah! At least try to guess—says my best friend a little irritated

—I don't have the slightest idea!—I say laughing. My friend always want me to guess all that has happened to her like if I have a supernatural power or something.

—Oh well I went to an electronic concert on the beach was great, I was with my cousin and there we saw very handsome guys...

—Wait you see handsome boys and you didn't tell me? What's wrong Zoey! Come on tell me how they were?—I exclaimed without stop of laughing. I must admit that I like to know details

—Okay Okay! I'll tell you...Well I met a blonde guy, hazel eyes, 19 years old, was tall and….woow! I almost died with his voice...—she laughs excited—,We were dancing and talking during the whole afternoon I forgot that I came with my cousin but well we are going to meet again this Friday at the movies. What you think?—she says smiling

—It's great, it's your chance to get out with someone else and forget your stupid ex boyfriend—I say happy for her

—You're right, don't know how I could date him—she roll her eyes

—You've said that with all your boyfriends I laugh—I burst with laughter

—Hey Sarah! Well I must admit it but it's different—she say irritating—. Enough to talk about me, What about you? Any guy you have met yet?—inquire

—What?—laugh confused—, Not yet—I say disappointed—,No one is worthy—I say recovering my confidence laughing but Zoey knows me so well and she knows that one day I'd like to find someone that loves me.

—Don't get discouraged Sarah you'll found someone who loves you and really appreciate you, meanwhile you have me to bother you—she say that words giving me a poke with her shoulder

—Please Zoey don't start to annoy me, I have to do quickly the homework of literature, I forgot completely—well the truth it's that I didn't forget it and didn't even do it but in Which way she will pass me the homework?

—Cannot believe you forgot the homework—we laugh together and we walk for finally enter to our class, it's late.

—Miss Carter and Miss Hudson come here—interrupts the teacher Gina. Oh no! She doesn't have someone else to bother?

Oh damn! Definitely this is not my lucky day.

-Detention-



We approach to the Teacher trying to contain our laugh, although I don't know why we laugh.

—Can you girls tell me why you're laughing?—says Teacher Gina crossing her arms annoyed

—An apologize Teacher, I was telling Sarah about my adventures in my weekend—says Zoey trying to keep seriousness

—Well, you two have enough time in the recess to talk about it, meanwhile get out of the class and go to help clean the computer room—laugh sounds at the back of us the whole class was listening... awkward. I love my classmates—,Hey! And you guys shut up or I'll report all the group with the Teacher Frank—everyone is quiet and they sit in their respective places, who would say that Gina would better calm the whole group better than the principal—.And you girls what are waiting for? Go to the computer room—she say referring to us

This teacher it's know for been strict, she's always screaming and that everyone don't like her very easily. She's the kind of Teacher who wants to tease anyone in her field of vision all the time.

—I'm sorry we're going now—we both say

The teacher Gina finally leave looking at us with a look of despair.

—Who would say that Zoey and Sarah been punish... that's not seen everyday—whispers our class

—Let's go Zoey!—I say ignoring my classmates

This is what I was referring to when I thought something different had to happen…. something "that's not seen everyday" to change the boring routine.

—Well it's the first time isn't it? It's gonna be fun!—says Zoey laughing

—Yeah I think so, now let's go before Gina comes again—we run to the computer room laughing

As the detention room is in maintenance we've used the computer room as a better punishment, clean the classroom, Teacher James is the only beneficiary of all this madness, luck that the teacher is not here now.

—Well, start over there and I'll here, Okay?—I say almost enthusiastic

—Okay—she laughs for a short time—, By the way...About what we were laughing about?

—I don't have the slightest idea—we laugh and clean together

Who would say that receiving a punishment would be so funny, well that's when you're with your best friend, you never know what could happen when you're with her.
