AEDION'S POV

"We have located her." said my best friend and Beta King, Xanth.

"Where is she?" I said in a rushed tone, I have been excited to end that abomination of a creature a long time ago ever since, I learnt about her existence. She is the daughter of the couple that I killed ten centuries ago for their forbidden match.

Here in my Kingdom, it is forbidden to mate with a vampire, as they are our worst enemies, a rule I made and approved myself. Any other supernatural are legal but vampires are unacceptable, the hatred goes way deep and all the way back to my grandfather's era. That is why I killed them and I had thought I had gotten rid of them, then two centuries after their death, I hear that they left their abomination of an offspring half vampire and half werewolf. Ever since then for the past centuries I have been looking for her to end her and I had no luck, but that ends today.

"She has been spotted in the northern territory, rumored to be shopping?" my beta said with confusion written all over his face. In which I do not blame him because this she devil knows very well she is on the top of the wanted list but walks around, shopping as if she is a free citizen, I have to give it to her , this girl has some balls most men don't. She is asking for her death and I will be honored to be the one to grant her wish.

"Well then, gather the five warriors and rush to the northern territory and end this nonsense today." I said with anxiousness.

"Yes sir!!!!" He says as he heads out of my room.

Today will be the day, I finally come face to face with her and mark her destiny, I really cannot wait. However, there is something different today, I am feeling so anxious not the worried anxious but the happy/excited anxious , if that makes sense especially my wolf , Rowan, keeps pacing back and fourth which has never happened for the past centuries which I have lived. Anyway, I will block him out and talk to him later, I do not want any distractions when I come face to face with that ....

When I go hunting, I wear my simple white T-shirt and sweatpants in case I need to shift, so that is what I am changing into right now, after all , I do not need to wear my expensive Stuart Hughes Diamond Edition suites and my Tom Ford custom shoes for a waste of space in existence.

" Alpha, we are ready!" Xanth spoke through our mind link.

"Very well then, I will be over there, just a minute." then I block off the connection.

Suddenly my bedroom door, opens and I turn around to find my fiancée. She is not my mate but certainly the most beautiful woman I have ever seen and chosen.

She has fair, flawless skin , as white as snow with a slight tan just to darken her skin a bit. She is red head with shoulder length hair, that is currently put up in an elegant bun hidden behind her tiara, that brings out her beautiful face. She has an average shaped pair of eyes with a dark brownish colour that when you look closely they look slightly greenish. Her eyes are not too round, not too narrow, not too big, not too small, they are just right, I guess. Her thin lips just pumped a bit with a current dark purple lipstick that tempts you to just taste her lips right there and then. Finally my favourite, her body that is curved to perfection, looks like its made for me with her slender figure that shows of her hips that are perfectly outlined with the bodycon purple long dress she is wearing. Hugging each and every part of her and it has a deep V neck that shows off her three dotted tattoo on her chest. This woman is playing with my mind right now, did she really have to come into my room at this time, she knows very well my self control is very weak. Looking at her I realise she is so perfect and was supposed to be made for me. I still wonder why the Moon Goddess did not just match her with me.

She is a very convenient person for my empire to prosper, especially if she carries my pups. She is a werewolf and one of the strongest female warriors with not only physical strength but also mentally strong. As a bonus she comes from a very prestigious high ranked family. She is one that has no mercy, knows what she wants and also knows how to get it. She is elegant, sophisticated and trained for specifically a Queen and this is the only reason why I chose her, to be my Queen Luna, she is the best candidate. She will help me build my empire more because we share the same vision.

" I heard that you are leaving for the Northern territory. " she said sweetly.

"Yes I am leaving, we have just located the she devil there and we are going to take her down once and for all." I said with a lot of excitement, finally after a long time, I would get rid of this realm's abomination.

"You know honey, you can just send your most trusted men," she says taking a step closer seductively. "And stay here with me, whilst they do all the work and we start celebrating your victory, for that thing." She exclaims as she gives me a quick peck on the lips.

A low aggressive growl sounded in my head for some reason, I knew instantly that it was Rowan because yes i know he never liked Morrigan from day one however he never had a problem with her physical touch ,but today the growl was just different, more like he was disgusted by her.

"Hy Rowan, what's wrong? You have been acting weird lately!"

"I don't know I feel a bit aggressive and irritated by any female that comes close to us today." He said

I mentally roll my eyes and close off our conversation.

"Morrigan, as tempting as it might sound, I cannot do that, I am the Alpha King and I should lead by example and go do my dirty work by myself, I want to use this she devil as an example to anyone who disrespects the wolf laws of ever mating with a vampire."

"Yes , you are right my King, but can't you just-

" NO!!!!" I cut her sentence, as I leave no room for arguments. "I have to go now, I will see you when I come back." As I peck her forehead and leave.

"How much longer now, till we reach her?" I say getting more and more uneasy, ever since I left the castle. I know with my nature and reputation, I get excited for a kill but however, this is different, my wolf is not stable and that has never happened to me in centuries, the last time I was like this was when I was scared if my grandfather was going to die or not. I always keep my cool, no matter the situation but for some reason, I cannot seem to control this feeling of mine. Its almost like my wolf knows something that he is not telling me.

"Just five minutes away, I already told the warriors to get ready and be prepared for anything, our inside source said that, she is still in the market place, its like she is waiting or expecting us." Says Beta Xanth, whispering the last part more to himself than to me.

"Whatever it is ,we got what we wanted, to finally capture her and kill her,tell the Northern Alpha Brandon, to tell his people to evacuate immediately, because that place is about to get bloody."

" But Alpha we have to be careful, to me it seems like, she came in plain sight all of a sudden after, a whole century of looking. Don't you think, it is just odd that she is not even, hiding anymore, we have to think logically. " says Xanth, with a hint of concern on his face.

I released a slight chuckle.

"Beta Xanth, are you really worried about one single woman against five warriors and an Alpha King and Beta King?" releasing a slight smirk of my own.

" I suggest you stop this fuss and concentrate on the road, I now want to finish this and go home already."

"Never underestimate your enemy but anyway we are here now, we have to leave our cars here. At the edge of the forest because it is easier to navigate with our human or wolf form than cars and much more quiet. The warriors are there already and they are surrounding the area. They are just waiting for the green light." My Beta says with a serious tone, that means business although I know part of it is because he is angry at me for earlier, but anyway that is how I like it, that means he will concentrate better on the battlefield and let his monster out. He will stop being a wimp soon.

"Alright then, let's get this show on the road." As our bodies take the form of wolves. Mine is a big black wolf with yellow glowing eyes whilst Xanth's is a big one two but slightly smaller than mine since he is a beta, it is also greyish in color with brown eyes.

As we approach the territory, there are a lot of scents but there is one distinct strong scent outstanding, a smell of sweet vanilla with a mixture of rice milk and a faint hint of peaches. Its such an intoxicating scent.

The marketplace was now empty, just like how I how I ordered with only, the territory market tables and empty buildings. There was a very deadly silence, one that would make you uneasy and wary about your surroundings. The howling of the wind felt like someone was controlling it. My head snapped in every possible direction looking for my prey, for a few minutes there was so much stillness, and silence to the extent that I felt like, there was no one here.

" I think she left when she saw people evacuating from the marketplace. " comes my Beta's voice through our mindlink.

"Guess you are right, we should leave. Our time was wasted." I say as we turn back. When immediately the scent from earlier just hit my nostrils really hard to the extent that my nostrils flare and I slightly lost my balance.

As I regained my balance and was about to leave the territory and go into the woods, I heard the most angelic voice my ears, I have ever heard.

"Looking for someone Alpha King?"

AEDION'S POV

"Looking for someone Alpha King?" A woman said sickly sweet, her voice could make me go on my knees. It was like music to my ears that I would never want to stop listening to. I was so stunned in shock with the woman in front of me , as to why I feel so connected to her, until realization dawned onto me.

"MATE!!!!" My wolf says.

She was average height with a flawless skin that was more on the dark side but not too dark more like a lightish chocolate brown. Her hair was in the colour black, with a high ponytail that has a long inched braid twisted all the way to her perfectly round ass which is kind of hard to see with the long flared golden skirt she is wearing. The skirt brings out her flawless legs with the long slit that comes with it that also shows the large gold anklet she is wearing. She has a golden chain on her head, that has two circles on the side and two lying on her head, that probably she only knows the meaning of. On one of her hands, she holds a staff that looks more of like Poseidon's trident. Along with her long skirt she has a crop top more like a bra, that shows of her chest and the bunch of chains on her chest making her look more attractive. Her beautiful face has small eyes and long thick eyelashes and her lips look so soft with that brown lipstick that brings them out, I feel like kissing them and figure out how they taste. She has a slim thick body that can make any man in this universe worship her. Looking at her in front of me she truly looks like a goddess, a warrior but not just a warrior but a Warrior Queen. Morrigan standing next to this woman, is a princess not a Queen anymore because noone can compare to the goddess in front of me.

In all the centuries I have lived I never thought , I would ever find my mate, with my ruthless nature and merciless, I thought for sure the moon goddess had cursed me with loneliness for the rest of my lifetime. This is another reason why I took Morrigan as my Queen Luna. I had even promised here that I would never go looking for my mate or even accept her if she crosses paths with me but now I'm not so sure. The woman before me is beyond beautiful, I had thought I was with the most beautiful woman with Morrigan but seems I was wrong. I don't even have the courage to reject her. If I'm to reject her its only for one thing only which is she is an abomination. Yes, I said it. I wonder why out of all the women on this realm , the moon goddess decided to laugh in my face and pair me with this devil.

My wolf growls lowly at me , with the title I have given our mate.

I then change back to my human form and walks towards her. My confident strides fading away bit by bit as her scent overwhelms my nostrils.

I can see she is also loosing focus, especially with the knowledge that I'm her mate.This bond is affecting her, the same way its affecting me. She knows we are mates but we don't acknowledge that about each other, it seems she is also fighting the edge of showing her emotions towards me and the bond. She is such a strong hearted woman, already showing off her Queen abilities she was born with, to not show emotions no matter the circumstances because it will only give your opponent a chance to know your weakness. But I think I'm going to have a bit of fun with her.

I give a slight smirk.

"Who the hell are you?"

AVYANNA'S POV

"Who the hell are you?" His robust voice bounces off the buildings in this deadly silence and makes me want to submit to him.

This man is my mate, I know it from the start ever since, I could smell his scent upon his arrival at the edge of the forest where they parked their cars, when I was hiding. Yes, my senses are that heightened because of my hybrid stature. To top it of my wolf, Vanadey, finally came to the surface when she tried to reach the Alpha's wolf, after a century of silence. She was silent and locked away deep inside me because she was devastated, after she realized there is a possibility we might not have a mate. You see wolves might be strong, powerful and vicious but however, they live for one thing only, which is finding their other half and be whole, to raise a family and live the rest of eternity with their other half. But since, the day my grandma told us that we shouldn't get too excited about that idea because it will only hurt us because we might not have a mate or if we do we will be rejected. Harsh I know but my grandmother has always given me a bit of tough love, so as to train me to know how to control my emotions. She says since I'm powerful my vampire powers are awoken by my emotions, which can mean doom for everyone.

Unfortunately my wolf didn't cooperate with us after she knew she would be a lone wolf and became vulnerable.

However, I thought otherwise, my soul purpose was not for a stupid mate but to live for the vengeance of my parents' deaths and nothing else. I never had and still don't have time to find someone, get to know them, love them and carry their pups. Besides I would never forgive myself if something is to happen to someone who is mated to me since I'm hybrid. My grandparents are already in danger because they are protecting me and decided to side with me. For this reason I would care less for Vanadey's absence because I have been doing just fine with my vampire side. Over the years , I have trained both my vampire and wolf sides, for this very moment, when I come face to face with the so called barbaric Alpha King.

I got to admit. My dear stupid mate is such a catch. I really cannot take my eyes off of him and it does not help that with the smirk on his face. I am so tempted to run up to him and kiss him of which I'm sure he knows it, judging by the way he is smirking right now.

Now that I am looking at him closely. He is the true definition of perfection. His face is like the Moon Goddess took her precious time make him. He has small eyes that really go with his perfectly sculptured nose. The colour of his eyes are a calm black, brownish colour but if you look closely, they scream power,danger and chaos inside them, no wonder no one defys him. His jawline is so sharp and perfect, I feel like running the tip of my fingers along it whilst tracing it with slow kisses right until I reach his thin soft looking lips. His beard is not too hairy but shaved to perfection to add as a beauty enhancer to his face. I never fancied beards but his is an acceptance. Do not get me started on his height, the man is a giant compared to my medium sized body. His broad shoulders make him twice as big. His perfect V body, compliments mine perfectly, with all those abs to feel.

Oh my gosh Avy, what are you saying, focus girl. This man is here to meet his end, that is the only reason why I came out of hiding in the forest. I should not waste time.

"I will not repeat my self after this." As he takes another step closer. "Who. The. Hell. Are. You?" He said as his patience shows its diminishing bit by bit.

I give him a smirk of my own.

"Oh really now, Alpha, are you telling me, you cannot truly figure out who I am?" as I start circling him.

"You ordered for everyone in this marketplace to evacuate, for just one person and you find me but you still can't figure out who I am?" releasing a slight chuckle. "Wow, I really wonder, why you are called the Alpha King?"

He grows warningly at the mockery I made of him.

"I am Avyanna Johnson, the infamous hybrid, you have spent half of your lifetime hunting down." my tone filled with so much pride and joy in myself. This Alpha does not know who he is dealing with. He is so stupid, he gets a heads up that after centuries of hiding from him and the world, I miraculously appear in plain sight and not hide as usual. Shouldn't he be suspicious of my actions. Oh well that's not my problem, I got what I wanted. He really has a death wish and for me his wish is my command.

"Also both you and I know that, we are mates, unfortunately, so I suggest you...

"No, we are not." He cuts me off and shocks the living daylights out of me.

He rejected me!!!me ?really did he just reject me , in front of his warriors and beta, this is so humiliating.

"I can never be mated to someone, like you. You are an abomination, you can never earn, the love and affection from anyone, let alone me. I am an Alpha King, a man of very high prestige, who are you, nothing but just a waste of space. I can never let you near me, become the Queen Luna or even let you carry my pups. You. Disgust. Me. I Alpha King Aedion Krustov reject Avyanna Johnson as my mate." He says every word , slowly and clearly. That then pierces my heart painfully slow. Every word breaks me in pieces in the inside.

My grandparents always told me that meeting your mate would be the best experience of your life. It is like finding your other half, that completes and finally feel alive. It is finally when you find happiness and having a home. But, they were wrong, because they left out the part that it depends who is your mate and who you are. This beautiful walking disaster, in front of me just hurt me so much, I have never felt like this before, even Vanadey is whining in my head with the insults my mate just uttered.

Unfortunately for him he just fueled my anger and resentment towards him. May the forces be with him, because he does not know who I am and what I am capable of. I am the strongest being in this realm and I will show him, to never embarrass me in front of people again or to take my dignity. To think, I had slightly let my walls down a bit and get to know him and forgive him bit by bit, after all it was ten centuries ago, he just had to put the cherry on top. From this day onwards, I declare to myself that this man the only feeling I have towards him is nothing but PASSION FOR REVENGE.

"The feeling is mutual." I say to him with determination I'm my tone, as I crouch down in my attack position and point my trident at him. He really has it coming, I swear to the Moon goddess, she will regret the day she decided to play her cupid rubbish.

"Then so be it." As he shifts and pounces.

I dodged his pounce and kicked him in his rib cage. That was when the other wolves, jumped into the scene running towards me, their instincts being to protect their Alpha. However, they are no match for me.

The first grey wolf probably their Beta seemed bigger than the other five but smaller than the Alpha. He jumped on me and made me loose my balance, hence, landing on top of me. He was about to rip my face of when I blocked the impact with my trident and zapped him with it, sending him flying away. Well, that's going to leave a mark.

The other five brownish wolves must be the warriors, came running to me all at once , probably a way to destruct my concentration, clever move, but unfortunately, I caught on to it.

I summoned both my inner monsters with all the anger and resentment that I have let build up in me. My eyes started to glow a bright , bloody red with a gold/yellowish ring surrounding it showing that both my wolf and vampire are present. I raise my trident and hit hard to the ground causing the death of all the five wolves. Oh well!!! My deepest condolences but however, I got to say blood looks good on them, it matches their eyes.

I hear rushed footsteps behind me only to see Alpha Brandon and his warriors at the same time the Alpha King regains his strength, I guess this is my time to make my departure.

I slowly turn to the now shifted Alpha king and say ....

AEDION'S POV

She slowly turns to me after, she realized she is outnumbered upon the arrival of Alpha Tristan and his warriors.

"Alpha King Aedion's." She calls but I keep quiet, which does not stop her, so she continues to talk.

"I am a new breed rising, with fire in my eyes and I don't fear anything because I have already died. So if you know what's best for you, don't look for me ever again."

Then she vanishes into thin air.

AEDION'S POV

"Beta Xanth, get some to deliver the bodies of the warriors, to their families and send them our condolences."

"Yes, Alpha." He says as he bows his head and leaves.

"Alpha Tristan, I'm sorry for the inconveniences, I will see to it, that whatever, has been damaged will be repaired." I say and turn to leave.

"Alpha Aedion, please accept these pair of clothes and don't worry about , the repairs , we will deal with it. Says Tristan, he was always a kind,warm person especially around his mate. I wonder how he became Alpha with his kind nature and still managed to keep people under control.

" Sure."

Then I leave.

The ride back home, to Asena was silent. In the car with just my beta and I , was purely quiet but the quietness screaming tension and a whole lot of I told you so.

"Okay, just let it out." I said, with exhaustion.

"Yes, I will. Aedion, did I not warn you of this incident. That woman knew exactly what she was doing she had anticipated that incident and her target was you. Our men were just caught up in the cross fire. You should have planned out our strategy. You know , your problem is that you think with emotions and not your head. Did you ever stop to think that catching her was too good to be true and that what those families of the warriors, will feel when they receive the bad news?" He said breathing heavily now, with all the frustration going on in his head.

"I understand your concern my friend but I couldn't just stand and let her do what she wants, when she was right in front of me."

"Yes I get it, but maybe you should stop this whole search party, before you are in too deep. What I mean is she is your mate and you can never change that , now that you met her its going to be hard to stay far away from her. Morrigan is nothing to you now. If ever , in the not so distant future, change your mind about her which I know you will, she will not forgive you after that rejection, so instead to make things worse put your differences aside and change that damned law." Xanth said.

"No, you are wrong, I rejected her, showing I will never take her back." I argued

He sighs "Ya but she did not accept your rejection, so my dear friend , you have dug a deeper grave for not only for the hottie who is your mate but for yourself too." He smirks and winks

I lowly growl but however he is right.

AVYANNA'S POV

"Grandma, what you said is true about finding a mate." I said with glassy eyes as I sniff. I have been strong ever since I left him but in as much as I am known as woman of still , I have feelings and at times I'm vulnerable, which in fact is the side that my grandparents and Hunter will ever see. My tears were on the brink of being released again but I think I have dehydrated myself, the only thing I can do now is sniff.

I had told my grandparents what happened from start to finish without leaving any details. To be honest the least they could do was comfort me and I am grateful for that.

"Oh honey, I had anticipated it, all I can say is, I am sorry for what happened." She as said as she embraced me in a motherly hug.

"You know what, I am done crying." I say wiping, my tears and removing the blanket , I had on. And walked towards the front door.

"Where are you going?" Says my grandpa as he walks in with one of his famous chicken soup to make me feel better. Oh, Moon goddess what would I do without these two.

"I am going to meet , Hunter." I said with a determined tone. I promised him war and that's exactly what I am going to give him. I am a woman of my word and I do follow through with my threats. That Alpha King will see hell and he won't even know, what hit him. Absolutely nothing will stop me.

"The rogue leader?" My grandpa asks.

"Yes!"

"Why?" He questions.

I smirked at the cute old couple before me and they gave each other skeptical looks and looked back at me for answers.

"Because, I follow through with my threats." as I bang the door and leave the cozy little cottage.

It was now two hours after, I had left the cottage, heading to the rogue territory. Hunter was the leader of the rogues and a good "friend of mine." But that's a story for another day. I had always felt a connection with the rogues, well probably because I am one of them in a way. The only difference was that I was born as a rogue and not directly forced into it and also I am a hybrid. That is why I leave on my own and not with them, but however, they are very accepting.

"You know a beautiful Lady, like you should not be walking alone in the forest especially at night."

I wipe around and saw Hunter sitted on a thick tree branch, looking down on me, with his signature smirk.

He then jumps down. I ran to him and hugged him. It feels good to be in the comfort of a friend's arms. Don't get me wrong my grandparents are my life, but sometimes they seem to suck at pep talks and comfort than Hunter. Then would be too many I told you so and why would you do that?

"Woah seems, like someone has had a rough day." He said as we break the hug.

"Don't act like you don't know what happened, you know everything." I said as I rolled my eyes. Its true, as a leader, you have to be cautious about your surroundings and that is exactly what Hunter does. Whatever happens in the wolf community, he has people who update him someone , they nicknamed Big ears, is the rogue gossiper. Therefore, I know and I'm sure he must have heard what happened to me or at least have an idea.

"Know what?" As he scratches the back of his neck. Something, he does when he is lying.

"Really now, Hunter you know exactly, what happened in NARAH." I said irritated.

He had a smug look on his face as he said" yeah I know. So the jackass is really your mate?" He curiously asks

"Yes and that is why I am here."

He raises one eyebrow suspiciously at me and asks the question, I have been expecting "What do you want me to do?"

"Oh a lot but first let's go somewhere private." I say whilst showing of my she devil smirk as some people might say because I have just declared war and I know the rogues have my back.

"We start with the weaker wolf territories because those are a piece of cake, like DOMHNALL and REIKA. After, we take down the stronger ones. I said to Hunter and his right hand, Rhysand. For the past hours , we have been discussing, how I have planned my revenge and my theory is to dethrone him bit by bit. Firstly by attacking his territories. If there is one thing the Alpha King loves , is his kingdom and its quite obvious, everyone knows it. Therefore if we attack and I become in change of half of his kingdom he will be upset about it and it would be easier for me to avenge my parents. Then from there, Hunter has his own, plans. For some reason, he has a personal grudge with him, that he tells no one, not even me.

" That is a great plan Avy but that is not enough to make him feel as much pain as he made you feel." Rhysand pitched in for the first time. Rhysand is young looking as compared to Hunter and Alpha Aedion. He has long shoulder length hair, that is brown in color but if you don't look closely it will look like its a dirty blonde. His eyes are a piercing green that when they look at you, they look like they see more than you but that they reach your soul. He is one of the best rogue fighters , no wonder why he is the next in command in the rogue's community. His pearly white teeth are like the cherry on the top, to make his smile,wet a girl's pants. He is a hottie but to me he is more of a big brother, than a romantic partner.

Oh did I forget to mention , he is super protective of me.

"We will cross the bridge when we get there." Hunter exclaimed in deep thought. I wonder where is his mind is at.

"His right." I agree with Hunter. " I never said, I will end my revenge there, this part of my plan , is for the humiliation I went through today, then soon in the near future, it will be to avenge my parents." With every word of mine dripping with determination. I really cannot wait.

Rhysand sighs as he whispers to himself" I just don't want you to get hurt."

If it wasn't for my supernatural hearing, I wouldn't have heard that but I won't say anything.

"Your training begins tomorrow, with the rest of the wolves, we attack in a month." Hunter says.

Then he leaves.

"Well all of a sudden , he is in a bad mood." I say , sighing

Rhysand chuckles.

"He is just bring a bitch boy, he is always like this at the mention of that Alpha. You should probably get some sleep , training is not pretty."

"I don't understand why, I need to train, I have been doing that my whole life, I now need action." I say as we walk out of Hunter's office.

Rhysand puts his hand over my shoulder as we walk.

"You can never be too prepared."

"Hello" my grandma says over the phone.

"Hy, I just called to let you know, I have arrived safely at the rogue's territory and I will be staying over night, so please do not worry." I say to my grandma. I had to call, she tends to overreact when I sneak out like earlier today or do not return home on time. However, I cannot blame her, I mean the poor woman had to leave with the fact her one and only daughter and son in law had to die unjustly. Then there is reckless me , who is technically doing whatever I want.

"Yes good, although I had already contacted Hunter." She says cheekly. We what I mean.

"How did you-

" I figured the only place, you will go is to Hunter."

"Wow, thanks for reminding me of my loneliness."

My grandma snickers.
