“Where am I?” A blond hair guy muttered with his heavy eyes were looking around the room. “Argh…my head!” His head spin so much as he sat straight on the queen size bed. The room was not too big but it has everything inside; cloSeth, makeup table, and even a couch. The blond guy shivered a bit as the wind from the air conditioner blew straight to his bare skin. To be exact, he did not wear anything, aside from a black boxer. Meanwhile his clothes were all over the floor beside of the bed.

‘What happened last night?’ He tried to remember what happened last night. Unfortunately the memories were so blurry.

“Wait!” Both of his eyes were widening as turned to his right side. “W-w-why the Jones girl is here? W-w-with me? A-and why she’s half naked too?!”

“YOU BASTARD!!” A brown hair guy suddenly barged into the room with a loud voice, waking the girl up. She was shouting when saw me sitting beside her and quickly pulled the blanket to cover her whole body. The brown hair guy’s face was furious and his chestnut eyes color were full with anger. He seemed like he was ready to kill that poor blond hair guy who was so in confused.

“N-nno, Bryan….” The blond guy tried to stop the brown hair guy, named Bryan from punch him straight on his face.

“You’re DEAD, Nelson!” Bryan then strangled him. “You have to pay what you have done to Kaytlyn!”

“N-no…N-Bryan,” he begged more. “I didn’t do anything to her.”

“Br-Bryan ….” An angelic voice interrupted them. She was sobbing behind the thick blanket, begging for her cousin to help her. “Take me home….please…” Even her voice sounded crack.

“Oh God, Kaytlyn ….” The brown hair guy’s feel sorry for her. He never expected that this kind of thing happened to his poor-innocent cousin. He clenched his teeth then turned back to the blond guy. “Be prepared Jayden Nelson! You were just messing around with the wrong person…just wait and see!”

Three days before the incident....

New York University

《Kaytlyn Jones》

*girls’ screaming*

There were bunch of girls in front of me, screaming as a group of arrogant guys took step into the campus building. To be more exact, they were fan-girling of them. Of course they were, those guys were the hottest guys among the student; but of course not for me. They looked just like the ordinary guys, nothing special about them. I think.

Girl 1: "God, they're so hot!"

Girl 2: "I know right.....especially Seth. I'm so madly in love with him."

Girl 1: "No! Jayden is way better than him!"

‘They are gonna have a fight over that bunch of guys, aren’t there?’

*sighs*

"What a stupid people….” I murmured to myself as walked passing by them. Seriously, I really could not understand them at all. How come they were so crazy about those guys who were not even know or care that they were actually exist in this campus.

*sighs again*

‘So weird…’

“Oh…” My lavender backpack slipped from my shoulder and fell on to the floor as I accidentally bumped into someone who was taller than me. Plus, his perfume really smell so nice and it was totally driving me wild for a temporary.

‘It sounded crazy right. But it was the truth!’

And yes….he was a guy; I could tell it by the perfume he was using, Giorgio Armani perfume to be exact. It was the same as my father which he once used it before…one of the expensive perfumes for men.

I crouched a bit so I could quickly grab my backpack, “I’m so sorry,” then apologized to him without even look who was that person.

“No, I should be the one who apologize to you.” His voice! I recognized that voice….It really sounded familiar to me.

I looked up to him….N-no…no. This can not be….h-he…he was one of those guys!!! Most likely known as the Casanova, Jayden Nelson!

‘Oh my God, I shouldn't look at him…..especially not into his ey-….’

“O-oh…” Oh no! He just brought my stuttered back.

‘I guess, it was too late for me now.’

"Hey, are you okay?" He was crouching in front of me with his both cerulean blue eyes were looking straight at me. How come those eyes can be so beautiful? I never seen such a beautiful eye before. They were actually making me drowning into them.

“Umm….are you okay?” He practically waved his hand in front of me which made me snapped out from my thought

“O-oh…y-yes, I-I’m fine,”

‘Wait a minute!’

‘Did I just stutter again? Oh no, my father is going to kill me if he knew about this!’

I already got rid my stuttering habit long ago with my father’s help. This habit almost made me lost my insanity. Well of course, since my father lectured me for every single days and even scolded me whenever he heard it. He even compared me with my younger sister, Aireen; and the saddest thing is, he said I don’t deserve to be a Jones if I still didn’t change my habit that embarrassed him so much.

'Now, this blond guy was easily making me stuttered back again!'

"Look at that nerd," a girl’s voice suddenly caught my attention.

"Yeah, how dare she’s flirting with Jayden!" The other girl added.

‘Since when I tried to flirt with him? Who wants to be with him anyway?’

Both of us were surrounding by his girls’ fans and all of them were giving me their death glares, making me took a big gulp.

"Yo Jayden!" One of Jayden's friends called him; dark brown hair guy to be exact. "Just ignore that nerd....let's go now."

‘Nerd? So they are calling me a nerd, huh? Is it because I’m wearing this big glasses? And also with the books which were always on my hands?’

He replies along with a grin, "Yea yea....I'm coming!" Then, turned back his gaze on me.

For the first time since we started studying here, he did not show any of his arrogant side of him. Usually, he never paid any attention on me, not even in our classes too. Yes, we were in the same class since the freshmen year. Besides, he always looked at the beautiful girls only.

‘To be more specified, he never knew that I am actually exist here.’

‘But, he is different….more to friendly and kind too right now.’

Jayden Nelson hands me over the backpack to me, “Here…*smiles*…I’m sorry for bumping into you.” He then stood back on his feet and even gave me a wink that made all of his fans mad at me instant. “Sorry girls….” He innocently gave them a grin and jogged back to his friends who were waiting for him at the end of the hallway.

‘I’m so screwed!’

“She didn’t deserve that precious wink of him!” One of the girls complained.

"Yeah!" Another girl agreed with her. "She didn't deserve it at all!"

"She's a bitch! Just go away, nerdy!" Those harsh words…really hurting me.

‘Why they are always treating me this way? What I’ve done to them? I can’t be weak like this. I’m a Jones! I shouldn’t cry in front of those people.’

I swiftly stood with my backpack slung on my shoulder.

“That’s right, nerdy!” A girl shouted at me. “Leave this place….you don’t deserve to be here at all.”

Without wasting any time, I quicken my paces towards the nearby toilet.

‘I give up! I couldn’t hold this any longer. I’m so sorry father for being a weak person.. I’ve failed you.’

‘It was all his fault! I shouldn't have look at his eyes or I wouldn’t be end up to be like this.’

"Kaytlyn!" That voice! “Are you okay?” Based on the way he called me, that person must be Bryan. He might do something beyond of my imaginations if he ever saw me in this kind of state. And the worst thing is, he must be inform to my father about this for sure.

I quicken more my paces so he couldn’t catch up on me. “Hey…wait for me!” he shouted again. “Kaytlyn!”

I was totally ignoring him, but his footsteps sounded near to me; just a few feet away from me, I guess.

‘Come on, Kaytlyn. Just a few more meters….’

"Kay-" I slammed hard the bathroom door which silenced him down in instant.

‘I'm sorry, Bryan...I just need some time to be alone.’

《Jayden Nelson》

"What's up with that nerdy, dude?" Joji, one of my friends asked me about the previous girl with his arm on my shoulder.

"I don't know her, dude,” I replied him. But the most surprising thing was, I really couldn’t GET RID HER FACE FROM MY MIND! “I never met her before. S-she's nobody…."

"Tsk...you’re such an idiot" That annoying words came from….*sighs*…of course, from my annoying best friend, Seth.

"Why are you calling me that, huh?!" I stopped my paces and confronted him. He was not that tall from me, we were in the same level, but only his hideous hairstyle made him taller looked than me.

Unfortunately, he only gave me his annoying smirk then walked away from Joji and me.

‘Seriously, he was really testing with my patience, in this very fine morning.’

“You really have no idea, huh, Jayden?” The pale looking guy, Zac added more, then suddenly burst into laughter followed by our other friends.

"What are you laughing at, Zac?!" I was not very satisfied with his stupid laughter giving him a death glare.

"You are so stupid." ‘Oh, God, all of the words are coming from his mouth just triggered my anger and I felt like I want to give him a flying high-kick in anytime…I mean right now!!’

‘That stupid squishy!’

"Man…this is so troublesome...." Another friend of mine said along with a heavy sigh.

"What is it this time?" I turned to face him, the guy with lazy face, Simon, who was yawning totally showing no interest with our current conversations.

"She's a Jones," even his voice sounded so lazy. But for your information, he was always like that, being lazy all the time and love to take a nap in anytime and anywhere.

"Who?" I did not get what he was trying to say.

"Tsk...What a moron guy," Seth scoffed while for Zac, he even laughed harder than before.

"Of course…*laughs….that nerd girl, stupid," Zac hardly said since he could not stop with his stupid laughter.

‘That girl is a Jones? So she's related with my senior, Bryan, huh? I think I shouldn't be mess around with him and her too or I'm going to be dead for sure. The Jones’s family is so creepy for me to handle.’

"She's a Jones? Whoa....I thought a Jones should be.....u-ummmm....you know what I mean...*nudges slowly his elbow against mine*…beautiful," Joji interrupted. He seemed like he was trying not to believe with everything that my friends said to him.

‘Yeah, I agree with him.’

The Jones was one of the respectful and rich family in New York…Oh, and add that ‘creepy’ word too. Moreover, all of their descendants were all beautiful and should be beautiful. But that girl, she was not resemble the Jones at all; with that messy long hair, that big glasses that she was wearing, plus she was not wearing any make up at all.

‘Seriously I said, she's not attractive for sure!’

"What do you think, Jayden?" Joji asked for my opinion that snapped me out from my thought.

Meanwhile, Seth, Simon and Zac were walking in front of us and continuously chatting with each other, leaving me here alone with this annoying dark brown hair guy.

"Think of what?" I confusedly ask him.

"She's ugly, right?"

"O-oh...Y-yeah, I think so..." ‘Man, did I just stutter? And why the heck that girl’s face still on my mind.’

‘That’s a bit weird.’

"She's must be fun to play with....what do you say?" This time, his question just triggered something in me. Unfortunately, I was not sure what was it. Usually I just played along with his stupid game, but not this time.

‘That girl has something that changed my mind; something that I need to seek for myself.’

"Whatever dude, I'm just into with beautiful girls only..." I pushed him away from me as he was about to put his arm again on my shoulder. “Later…” then quicken my paces to catch up with my three other friends.

At the cafeteria…

《Kaytlyn Jones》

“Hi…” I put down the spoon from my hand back into my Quaker oat bowl in front of me. Someone just greeted me, someone who was very unfamiliar to be exact. “May I sit beside you?”

‘Wait a minute!’

‘I know this guy, he is one of Jayden’s friend.’

He knitted his eyebrow while looking straight at me; still waiting for my answer whether to let him sit beside me or not. “So, may I?

‘But why he insists to sit here, with me? I don’t get it. What is he really up to?’

"What are you doing here, Joji?" Oh God, thank goodness. Ivy was here to save me from this weird guy. She approached us with a tray of food on her hand along with the squint eyes as she was looking at that guy.

"O-oh....h-hey Thompson" The dark brown hair guy named, Joji suddenly became stutter out of the blue.

Ivy rolls her eyes, "Move away...,” then pushed him away from the seat. "So Kaytlyn, what's our plan for today?" She looked at me with her beautiful crystal blue eyes, totally ignored Joji who was standing beside her.

I could see Joji’s surprised face through the corner of my eyes.

"You know her, Thompson?" He finally braced himself to ask Ivy.

"Duh…of course I know her," Ivy looked at him in disbelief. “She's my best friend."

Both of his eyes went bigger, "Y-your best friend??" It was looked like he was not expected that answer coming out from Ivy’s mouth.

‘Well, he should be. Because Ivy and I totally in a very different world. She is so popular in our campus meanwhile for me, I am just a nerd and a very weird girl.’

‘To be honest we are so opposite with each other.’

Ivy gives him a glare, "Why? Don't you believe me?"

"Yea...Yea, I believe it,” he quickly replied her. "I'm just asking anyway."

"Whatever,”

Both Ivy and I went to the nearest mall after our evening class since Ivy said she wanted to buy something there. "Aww....Kaytlyn, you are the best friend in the world," her sudden hug made me startled a bit.

“What was that for?” I asked confusedly while looking at my beautiful friend.

Ivy releases the hug, "For accompanied me of course. Zac was too busy with his training so he didn't have much time for me anymore. Thank you, thank you so much, Kaytlyn."

I giggle a bit, “You are welcome.”

We then entered into our dorm as Ivy unlocked the door with the key. She surely bought a lot of clothes; from the hair stuffs until the shoes….And yet, she never change a bit from the first time I met her years ago.

‘Ivy indeed really loves shopping.’

She was having hard time with her shopping bags and I already tried to offer my help, but she stubbornly insisted it. She said she wanted to carry it by herself and did not want to trouble me much.

She sighed heavily as soon as she reached at her bed and swiftly landing on the bed along with all the shopping bags.

“Shopping was so tiring but….I like it SO MUCH!” she murmured to herself.

I laugh, “Yes, you do love it so much. I agree with that.”

There should be three students per room, but our room still has one more bed unoccupied; the bed opposite of Ivy’s, the pink color one. Our best friend must be like it when she transferred here. Well of course, because pink is her favourite color. And I really hope that the management will place her into this room when she returned back here by next month.

"Kaytlyn..." Ivy suddenly grabbed my hand then made me sat beside her on her bed.

"What is it Ivy?" I curiously asked her.

‘Is there something she would like to talk to me? Something that trouble her so much.’

She was looking at me worriedly and I never seen her like that before in my life.

"About Joji..." A guy with dark brown hair suddenly flashed in my mind.

"What about him?" I asked.

"You should avoid him, Kaytlyn," she continued with the conversation. She placed her right palm on my right hand and patted it gently once. "He's a jerk and always used people for his benefits,” I never saw her this serious at all. “I heard it from Zac. Even those guys don't like him very well,” she added more.

I did not why, but I found her words were funny though. So I just burst into laughing which made her looked at me in confused.

She cuts me in, "W-what...w-why are you laughing, Kaytlyn? Hellloo...I'm serious here."

I quickly stopped from laughing or it will be turn worse if she ever sulked. I will never let that happen, enough with Zac only who accidentally did something to her last time.

‘She was so scary if she was mad though.’

“Alright….so sorry about that,” I quickly apologized.

"You're so mean..." she complained.

"Aww....I'm sorry, Ivy. I really didn’t mean it."

"Never mind," she waved her hand. "Anyway, back to Joji..." Ivy then changed her sit position so she could sit comfortably to face me.”I really advice you to stay away from him. He’s really a bad guy. Trust me. Besides, we already made our promises to take care of each other and Amelia too, although she is far from us. We will always be with you no matter what happen.”

"I'll be fine, Ivy." I patted her shoulder along with a smile curved in my lips. "Please don't worry about me."

《Jayden Nelson》

I was laying on my bed upstairs in my dorm after got back from the late training. My whole body surely was numbed enough and I barely can move my feet at all.

"...*lays on the bed*...Man, this is so comforting," I murmured to myself. "What a very tiring day.”

Surprisingly, that Jones girl’s face was suddenly flashing in my mind. Plus, the images where Joji went to approach her at the café this morning. Those memories were playing over and over again in my mind like a DVD player.

‘I wonder what they were talking about at the cafe. Is he planning to do something with the Jones girl.’’

‘Man...he worried me so much about her. Joji might do something like the way he did to the other girls before. No! I will never let that happen to her, she’s way too innocent for his stupid game.’

"Yo dude!" A loud voice suddenly snapped me out from my thought, "Do you want to join us?"

I raised my head a little so I could see the person who approached me rudely in my own ROOM!

‘Of course he is Karl….no one else will do that kind of thing instead of him.’

There he was, sitting on the half wall in front of me while munching his apple. "To where?” I knitted my eyebrow while looking at him. “Clubbing again?"

He nods once, "Yeah, of course clubbing, dude…what else?” He then took a large bite on his apple.

"Nah...I feel like I'm not going today,” I declined his offer along with a sigh.

"What!?" He stared at me in disbelief with both of his eyes went bigger than usual. "That's so weird. You never declined this before, dude."

"Just go and have fun," I pulled my orange blanket to cover half of my body from the cold. “I think I’m gonna be sick now.”

Karl sighs heavily, "Alright then," He then took several steps towards the stairs. "Later..."

"Man....my whole body is aching," I’m whining in pain. "I need to sleep; a very nice sleep, or I might not be able to play for this week's match."

*girl's screaming*

"What...what..." I fell from my bed in shocked when heard that loud screaming coming out of the blue. "Man…that's really hurt!" I complained in pain. "Who the hell was that, screaming in the middle of the night like this!?" I have no idea I was asleep for two hours already as I checked the time on my phone.

"Someone....please help me!" A girl suddenly shouted for help.

‘Wait! That voice…..it’s Ivy’s!’

‘Damn! She's really in trouble.’

I quickly grabbed my black sweater from the floor and wear it before rush towards Ivy’s room which is not too far from my room. Although my body is currently punishing me because of I overdid my practice today, but I force myself since Zac and Seth were not here to help her.

‘What if there are some bad guys trying to disturb her….that’s why she is screaming for help.’

"Damn...*gasps for air*...Was it me or this stairs were actually seemed to be many than usual," I murmured to myself. "Phew....finally!" Both of my knees trembled as I soon as I reached at the top of the stairs and I even almost trip on my feet.

"Please, help us!!!" This time, Ivy’s screaming was louder than before.

"Wh-what...*pants*...ha-happened?" She looked scared of something when I approached her at her dorm. There were other girls too with her and they looked scared too, just like Ivy.

"Thank God you are here Jay," I jumped a bit when Ivy’s cold hands clung into my arms. “T-there's s-something in our room.”

“What is it?” I took a peek into her room; wondering what she meant by that ‘something’.

"A f-fox," Ivy stuttered while pointing her index finger towards upstair.

‘That animal must be scared her so much.’

‘But wait a minute.....How can a fox entered her room anyway?’

‘That's really weird.’

*another girl's screaming*

My heart pounded so hard when heard that voice, it was familiar though, “Who’s still in there?” I asked Ivy.

‘I really have a bad feeling about this.’

"My roommate.....she's still up there," Ivy shook my arm in terrified. “Please save her….” She said while bursting into tears.

"Your roommate?" Even my hands started to tremble. That Jones girl’s face kept flashing in my mind.

She nods several time, "Please save Kaytlyn..."

‘Oh God, I was right! I should g-.....’

“Move away!” Joji who came out of nowhere suddenly pushed both of us away from the doorstep. “Kaytlyn, I’m coming!” He shouted.

‘Wait, where did he come from? And why I feel so pissed of him with his sudden ‘heroic action?!’

I followed him from behind upstairs and the Jones girl was standing on her bed with a broom as a weapon on her right hand. The fox was growling and wandering around her bed which made me think twice on how to rescue her.

She was crying, totally scared of that wild fox.

"W-whoa!" Joji took a step back as the red eyes fox growled at him.

"Stay back!" I instructed Joji and he did obey me. But still as usual he made that annoying face to me. "Let me try calm him down...." I looked straight on that fox’s red eyes, trying to calm him down. I think there was something special about him…but I was not sure what. He automatically seemed to calm a little when I slowly approached him and even stopped from growling anymore.

I braced myself to take several steps closer towards the fox; with full of cautions so I could save that Jones girl. Fortunately, he did not show any aggressive movements to me.

"Good boy," I said in a low voice then quickly turned to the Jones girl. I could see the tears flowed down her cheeks and her hands even trembling while holding the broom.

‘She was indeed scared of that fox.’

‘Just look at her, that Jones girl was crying for god sake. And, I feel so bad for her for not coming so soon.’

"Don't be scared, Kaytlyn. Everything is going to be alright," I tried to calm her down. "Just jump into my arms after I count on three...I'll catch you, trust me." She looked at me with her eyes which the same as her cousin, Bryan. But, those eyes were more beautiful and unique. Plus, she seemed so different without her big glasses.

‘She’s so gorgeous.’

"O-okay...." she took a deep breath, shuddering breath to be exact, gaining more courage to do what I suggested her.

"Oh for the God sake," Joji suddenly interrupted us in a very annoying way. "You are so slow dude!" Without even thinking of our safety, he selfishly approached Kaytlyn and grabbed her into his arms which causing the orange fox turned aggressive again.

‘Damn it!’

The fox started to growl at him and seemed like he was going to attack that stupid dark brown hair guy! Without even thinking any longer, the fox accidentally clawed me right on my left arm as I jumped in front of Joji all of sudden. I was not sure why I did that, but I was trying to save Kaytlyn who from getting hurt.

"Jayden!" That Jones girl's screaming filled the whole room.

"I....I'm okay," I replied, trying my best to hold the pain. The wound was so deep and hurt so much with the blood kept flowing from the cut. The fox was staring at me as I turned to see him and I could see his red eyes were glimmering. He even made weird noise as if like he was so guilty for hurting me.

‘That’s weird…’

“Shoo….” The fox then ran out from the nearest window as Joji chased him with the broom he took from Kaytlyn.

"J-Jayden...you're bleeding!" Kaytlyn gently grabbed my injured arm and examined it carefully. "We should go to the hospital now."

I shook my head along with a small smile curved on my lips, "It's okay, Kaytlyn. It's just a scratch."

"B-but, your injury looks really deep," she disagreed.

"I’m fine….Don't worry about it."

"I'm sorry, Jayden," Joji interrupted by apologizing to me.

"You're really an idiot, Joji!" I could not hold my anger any longer when heard his voice. He really did test with my patience today and almost get the Jones girl’s hurt.

"I said, I'm sorry, okay!" He said with loud voice.

"Whatever dude," I ignored him then walked away from both of them with the blood still coming out from my wound.

“J-jay…” Ivy tried to stop me, but I ignored her too.

I felt relieved Kaytlyn was not hurt, even though I got hurt for saving her.

‘What am I going to say to Bryan and her family if she did get hurt? ‘

‘I might be dead, though!’

《Kaytlyn Jones》

"Are you going to give those to Jayden?" Ivy asked in confused while watching me packing some medicines and bandages into a small lavender bag.

I nod once, "Yes."

She knits her eyebrow, "What’s for?"

"Because he got hurt for saving me from the fox....*the memory of that night flashes in my mind*....So I think, I owed him." I zipped up the bag then grabbed my glasses from the drawer.

"Are you sure about that?” she asked me along with a smirk.

"What?"

Ivy sighs while looking at me in disbelief, "You sure that you don't feel anything special for him? Well, technically he was your hero after last night incident, your very own superman. ...*screams excitedly*...Oh my God, you are just like Lois Lane now."

All of her words really did make me choking with my own saliva. Seriously, I have no idea what made her think of that?

I shook my head, totally disagreed with her, "Too much of movies influence, huh Ivy?"

"What?” She grinned. “I'm telling the truth, you know. And he is way better than that jerk, Joji," she added even more.

Was she trying to match me with her boyfriend’s friend?

"But he's still a playboy, Ivy,” I insisted. “And I don't have any feeling for him, believed me. Not ever...I just want to repay my debt for saving me last night, that's all."

She raises both of her hands as her chest level, "Okay...okay...do what you want to do, Kaytlyn. I'm not telling you to date him or anything. But please be more careful, I really don't want you to get hurt."

"I'll be fine Ivy," I Said along with a smile. "Don't worry about me."

I was not sure which room was his, so I decided to just wondering around the dorm while hoping that I will meet him by any chance.

‘Oh no, not him!’

"Hey Kaytlyn," Joji, the dark brown hair guy greeted me along with a smile as I accidentally bump into him on the hallway.

“H-hi…”I replied him even though I really did not want to speak with him after that incident. Everyone might be consider me as a rude person if I did ignore him and it was my job to take care of the Jones’s good name.

"Where are you going, Kaytlyn?" he curiously asked me. "And, what is in the bag?" His brown eyes stared at my small lavender bag full with medicines that I brought for Jayden Nelson.

I quickly hid the back on my back, “I-it’s nothing…” Then quickly turned my sight away from him.

"Oh come on, don't be so secretive with me,” he complained. “You brought food in there right?"

I remained silent, to be honest I really do not know what to say to him.

"So, it's true," he smiled. "Can I have it? I'm hungry by the way."

‘What did he want from me? He never care about me before….but why now? What is he up to?’

He approached me even more, forcing me to take several steps back from him. “Aww….you’re so cute, Kaytlyn,” my paces then stopped as my back touched against the wall.

‘No, please stop!’

I have nowhere to run from him when his both hands were blocked me on the both sides. He was reeked with the alcohol and the smell became strong as he leaned closer to me. “I really want to be your friend, Kaytlyn…*leans closer*….or maybe…”

“What are you doing to her!!!?” He was startled so much as a husky voice approached him from behind.

Karl, who was the owner of the husky voice gave Joji a death glare, “Just stay away from her!” He harshly pushed Joji away from me then pulled me closer into his arms.

"W-whoa....whoa, dude," Joji tried to calm him down. "I was just talking to her, that's all."

"Don't lie!" Karl was furious and I never seen him like this before. He was grabbing Joji’s shirt with his right fist was about to punch that brown hair guy in anytime.

"I'm not lying!" Joji swatted Karl's hand. "Who the hell are you talking to me like that? Are you her boyfriend?” He rudely Said that to Karl. “Pfftt....so you want her by yourself, huh?"

"Don’t you dare compare me to yourself!” Karl proclaimed. "She’s my b-friend and I will protect her from a guy like you, jerk!"

Joji gives him a smirk, "So, you do have feeling for her, huh Karl?" He looked at Karl with an annoying face with his arms crossed. "I guess it must be one sided love…*laughs*…What a pity…”

‘Karl’

I stared at my childhood friend with teary eyes. I never expected that he actually likes me. Karl never mention about it before and after all this years, I only consider him as a good friend, not more than that.

"Just shut up!" Karl shouted with both of his fists were tightening.

"What a pathetic guy," Joji burst into laughter, totally ignoring the furious Karl.

"What a bastard!" Karl landed his fist hard on Joji's face causing him to fall hard on the floor.

"Karl...please, stop," I grabbed Karl's arm stopping him from continuously hitting Joji. "Please....stop....” I begged for Karl to stop while sobbing. I just could not hold my tears anymore when saw him like this.

"Karl!!!" I slapped him hard on the cheek which I think that was the only way to stop him from this stupid ruckus.

"K-Kaytlyn....” he stared at me in disbelief.

I was speechless…with my feelings were all messed up. It was my fault for making him acting like this way.

‘I shouldn’t come here in the first place.’

"I'm sorry,” I quickly apologized to him then tried to run away from him.

But, Karl stops me by grabbing my hand, "Kaytlyn...."

I took a quick glance to him then swatted him hand away before ran towards downstairs, but I lost my balanced as I bumped into someone again and fell hard on the floor with my lavender back was slid straight towards a pair of orange grey sneakers.

"Are you okay?" That voice! "Wait a minute! Are you crying?” That voice was belongs to that person.

The blond messy hair guy looked at me confusedly. “What happened?” He even offered his right towards me.

“N-nothing,” I declined his offer then stood up on my feet by myself. His sleeve was pulled up a bit as he went to pick up my small bag, revealing his last night injury which already well treated.

He looked a bit down though after I rejected his offer, but whatever.

‘That is good though to be honest all this thing happened because of him actually. I should have not concern about him at all. He already got his injury treated and it was well bandaged. You’re so stupid, Kaytlyn.’

"Kaytlyn?" He knitted his eyebrow while looking at me. “Are you okay?”

"Y-yes, I’m okay,” ‘Oh God, his cerulean blue eyes makes me stutter again.’ "I probably should go." Before he could not say anything, I already walked away from him, leaving him hanging like just that.

"What are you trying to do to her?" I kicked the table in front of Joji out of the blue making all students around cafeteria were looking at me. He was shocked with my sudden rude approachable but I do not care because he just messed around with the Jones’s girl. It made me pissed off of him.

“What the hell man?” I knew he was just only pretending, so everyone will see me as a bad guy in this kind of situation.

‘What a jerk!’

"Don't play dumb with me, Joji. Karl already told me everything," I grabbed his shirt and pulled him up from his seat.

He scoffs, "So, he told you…” He then swatted my hands away from him. "What a coward friend you have, Jayden."

"Don't you dare call him that way!" Both of my fists were tightening, but I hold them since I do not want to waste my energy to beat a jerk like him.

Joji laughs maniacally, "Are you going to beat me just like Karl did, huh? Come on....do it now, I dare you to do so."

"What the f**k do you want from her?"

"The thing that every guy wants from girls," he whispered to me along with a smirk.

"YOU BASTARD!" I could not hold my anger so punched him hard on his face causing him to fall down straight to the table. "Don't you dare touch her like the way you did with the other girls!" I gave him a strong warning.

He laughs, "Don't you want the same thing, huh, Jayden? That's why you want to get close to her too, right?"

"I'm not the same as you jerk!" I spoke through my teeth, trying my best not to punch him again. "Just stay away from her!"

"Fine!" He replied. "I'll stay away from her, but in one condition."

"I don't want to make any deal with you." I showed no interest with his offer.

"Just listen up, you idiot! Or I promise I will never leave her alone."

‘How dare he’s threatening me!’

‘I will do anything to keep the Jones girl safe from this jerk. She is way too nice to be treat like this.’

"Pass the ball to Simon!!!" Mr Garret shouted at us as we were having practice at the soccer field.

Joji was running to catch up Zac who was dribbling the ball in front of him towards the goal.

‘I have to win this match no matter what happen. He will never get the ball, I have to make sure of it!’

"Jayden!" Seth called for me, but I totally ignored him by catching up that jerk who was trying to steal the ball from Zac.

"What are you doing, dude?" Karl asked me confusedly as I ran passed him.

"Zac!" My pale looking friend who has the ball looked like he was scared as Joji and I were running towards him as if like we were going to attack him. "Pass me the ball."

“Jayden!” Mr Garret shouted at me. “We are not playing Rugby!!!”

"Not a chance!" Joji purposely tripped my leg which causing me to fall hard on the floor before he stole away the ball from Zac with dirty trick. Luckily, Mr Garret noticed it and blew out the whistle to stop the game.

"Hey, are you okay, Jayden?" Simon offered his hand to help me stand back on my feet.

I grabbed his hand, "Yea, I'm okay,” then patted some dirt away from my pants. "We have to win this match no matter what. I won't let Joji score the goal, not ever!"

"This is just a practice, man " Simon complained.

"Why are you so serious, dope?" Seth and my other teammates joined the conversation.

"That's right, Jayden," Lee agreed with him.

"I have my own reason," I said to them while giving Joji a death glare as he made me a ‘Loser’ sign on his forehead.

‘I'll win the bet no matter what.’

Karl pats my shoulder, "Alright then, let’s play serious and win over that jerk’s team over there." He must be noticed Joji making me that sign too.

‘Thanks Karl….’

"Mann...this is so troublesome," Simon complained along with a sigh. "I'm too lazy for a serious practice today."

"Oh come on!" Karl dragged him back to our position. "Don't be such a baby, dude."

"Yes, our team won the game!" Karl shouted happily as Garret ended the match by blowing his whistle.

‘Phew.....that's so tiring.’

‘Anyways, I’m so glad that we won this match and automatically I won that bet too. And that Jones’s girl will be free from that jerk.’

"Good job, my dear youthful student," Garret congratulated us. "You guys have done well which I found it unusual for today."

"We just got spirited up, sensei," Lee, my bushy brow friend replied with a wide grin.

"That's good," Garret gave us all a thumb up. "I always want this kind of practice from you guys before and you actually....*starts to tear up*.... fulfilled it. I'm so touched."

‘Man, he's doing it again.’

"Garret....." ‘Not Lee too!!!’ "I'm so glad that we finally made you happy...."

"Oh come on, guys," Karl complains.

"We are leaving now, thanks sensei," I quickly take my duffel back from the bench not far from me follow by my other friends too who getting annoyed with Lee and Garret.

At the party,

"You will regret it, Jayden!" A brown shaggy hairstyle guy murmured to himself. "I will get everything I want and no one can stop me from that."

He takes out a sachet of drug out his pocket, "That Jones’s girl and all the Jones fortune will be mine...." Then poured it into a glass of drink.

"Hey," a blonde hair girl greeted Jayden as he arrived at the house. "Thanks for coming to my party, Jayden."

"Hey Sharon," he greeted back along with a smile. "And thanks too for inviting me. I’m so honoured."

"You are welcome," she replied while pouting her lips, trying to seduce the handsome blond hair guy. "Do you want some drink?"

"Yeah, sure..."

Sharon quickly dragged Jayden to the kitchen, leaving Seth, Zac and Karl who were chatting with each other in the living room.

"Here's your drink," Sharon gave him a glass of pink color drink.

Jayden felt curious with the color of the drink since he never seen that kind of color before. "What kind of drink is this?"

"I made it myself. A secret recipe to be exact..." Sharon whispered in very seductive way.

"O-oh...." he pretended to smile at her although he felt something fishy was going on at that moment. He did not know how to decline Sharon’s offer and how to avoid her that time.

'Why I have a bad feeling about this...' He thought before taking a sip of the drink.

"Drink it all, please...." Sharon helped him by forcing Jayden to drink all of it in one shot.

"So, how do you feel, Jayden?" She whispered to him again, but this time she sounded super seductive.

"D-dizzy...." Jayden was barely can open his eyes. "W-what....k-kind of d-....." He then passed out in instant without could not even finish his words.

“I’m gonna make you mine, Jayden,” Sharon whispered to the unconscious Jayden.

"A-Amelia....you are here...."

‘Amelia is here, she is sleeping beside me. She is actually here.’

My hand touched gently both of her cheeks and I was flutter as she replied with her beautiful smile that I missed to see so much.

"I missed you so much, you know," she was in my arms as I pulled her closer to me which she gladly hugging me back.

"I'm so happy that you finally accept my love, Amelia."

My eyes felt heavy again and my head it spin so much more than earlier. I try my best to stay awake so I could watch that beautiful angel who I longed so much, but I could not. My beautiful angel was slowly faded away until I completely lost conscious once again.

“Where am I?” A blond hair guy muttered with his heavy eyes were looking around the room. “Argh…my head!” His head spin so much as he sat straight on the queen size bed. The room was not too big but it has everything inside; closet, makeup table, and even a couch. The blond guy shivered a bit as the wind from the air conditioner blew straight to his bare skin. To be exact, he did not wear anything, aside from a black boxer. Meanwhile his clothes were all over the floor beside of the bed.

‘What happened last night?’ He tried to remember what happened last night. Unfortunately the memories were so blurry.

“Wait!” Both of his eyes were widening as turned to his right side. “W-w-why the Jones girl is here? W-w-with me? A-and why she’s half naked too?!”

“YOU BASTARD!!” A brown hair guy suddenly barged into the room with a loud voice, waking the girl up. She was shouting when saw me sitting beside her and quickly pulled the blanket to cover her whole body. The brown hair guy’s face was furious and his chestnut eye color were full with anger. He seemed like he was ready to kill that poor blond hair guy who was so in confused.

“N-nno, Bryan….” The blond guy tried to stop the brown hair guy, named Bryan from punch him straight on his face.

“You’re DEAD, Nelson!” Bryan then strangled him. “You have to pay what you have done to Kaytlyn!”

“N-no…N-Bryan,” he begged more. “I didn’t do anything to her.”

“Br-Bryan ….” An angelic voice interrupted them. She was sobbing behind the thick blanket, begging for her cousin to help her. “Take me home….please…” Even her voice sounded crack.

“Oh God, Kaytlyn ….” The brown hair guy feel sorry for her. He never expected that this kind of thing happened to his poor-innocent cousin. He clenched his teeth then turned back to the blond guy. “Be prepared Jayden Nelson! You were just messing around with the wrong person…just wait and see!”
