In a small town in Seoul, every person and every neighbour talked amongst each other about the new friendly faces in town. A 17 year old teenager named Lilac Uri woke up to a text from her best friend, Kirai Laira.

"Hey, wake up Lilac! School is in half an hour, meet me out the front of the school. Kirai 😊"

Lilac began to rub her eyes, getting up slowly while smelling the air which was immediately filled with Rice and Egg. "Ahh... I love the smell of Rice and Egg in the morning.."

Her aunt, Shira Uri was cooking and making breakfast, looking over at the stairs seeing Lilac walking down.

"Its about time you woke up, I was about to come in an wake you up myself." Lilac walked over in pink shorts and a white singlet. "Yeah, sorry.. I slept late last night".

Lilac sat down at the table with a bowl of breakfast in front of her. Shira sat down in front of her and began eating, talking with her mouth half full, " Hey have you heard? There's new boy going to your school. Apparently the family just moved here."

Lilac looked up at her and sighed, "Greaat... And why is that important?". Shira looked at her and smiled, " I'm just saying.. Everyone is talking about it.".

Lilac finished everything on her plate and got up. "Right well... I'm going to get dressed for school otherwise Kirai is going to blow like a chimney."

At the school, its at least a few moments before school started and Lilac was just arriving while Kirai ran up to her, giving her a huge hug.

"Lil! You came! I was getting worried that you weren't going to be here today..". Lilac hugged her back and smiled unhappily, " That was the plan but of course I couldn't ditch you.. Besides there's a new boy here today.."

The bell had rung as everyone began rushing to class. As Lilac was walking with Kirai, she noticed a tall blonde haired boy at the reception to enrol in school, overhearing them talk.

"So this is your time table, your first class is just over there. Room 2-A" Said the reception with red hair and glasses. Then hearing his voice, "Alright, thank you..".

Lilac had never heard anything so soft but deep. The boy turned around and noticed her staring, smiling at her and walking to the room 2-A. Lilac walked in moments after him and sat beside Kirai. "I think my day just got worse by the seconds..", Kirai looked at her and was puzzled by her words, soon noticing the new boy staring at Lilac. " Is he the reason why? Because he's staring at you right now."

Lilac looked back at the new boy and noticed him smirking. "He's creeping me out.. Almost like he wants to kill me." Kirai laughed at her comment and began to listen to the teacher.

Later at lunch, Kirai and Lilac were sitting down together on their own in the cafeteria. Lilac got up and looked at Kirai, "Hey I'm going to get something to eat, your food is making me hungry..". Kirai looked up at her and smiled brightly, "Alright, hurry back then. I don't want to be alone at a table."

Lilac patted her head and walked off to the canteen, grabbing herself a tray and looking through the glass of food. When she got towards the end, the new boy was there with his tray and was stopping her from continuing. "Hi, sorry I never introduced myself, I'm Teray Hira" he looked at her in the eyes.

Lilac looked at his eyes and noticed how blue they were, getting sidetracked she shook her head and looked back at her tray. "H..Hi.. I'm Lilac Uri", Lilac replied with a tremble in her voice. Teray smiled at her response and looked at her tray of food, "You like rice and egg?" He questioned her. Lilac moved past him and paid for her lunch, "Yes.. Why?" She responded back defensively. He laughed and paid for his food, "I haven't seen anyone have Rice and Egg since I visited Japan."

Lilac went wide eyed and gulps, "Ah.. Well I have to get back to my friend so... It was nice to talk to you, Teray.."

After school, Kirai noticed that Lilac seemed very aware. "Lil, are you okay? You seem worried?", Lilac looks at her and started to fidget. "I am worried.. That new guy is really fishy... Is it just me or does it seem like he looks young but like old?". Kirai looked at Teray from across the field, "I find him quite cute, he looks like an angel--" Kirai was cut off mid-sentence as Lilac looked at her, "Kirai, focus.." Kirai nodded, "Ah right.. Sorry".

Teray decided to walk over with his hands in his pockets and sunglasses on, "Lilac, I'd like to invite you to my home. Get to know each other.". Lilac went wide eyed, looking up at him. " Ah.. I can't.. I have to be home right away." She replied with sudden terror in her face.

Teray gripped her hand and walked her to his car, moving her in the car before quickly getting in himself. Lilac began to panic and trying to open the doors soon realising that the doors were indeed locked. "What the hell are you doing?! I don't wanna die I'm only 17!". Teray chuckled lightly and began driving to his place, "Easy, Uri. Like I said I just want to invite you over and why would you think that I'm going to kill you? I don't have any weapons?".

Lilac sat there thinking about what he said and sighed, looking out the window then looking at him, "So, why am I being invited to your house?". He kept his eyes on the road and smiled at her question. " I just thought it'd be nice to have a girl over for once."

They pulled up to a mansion that was dark oak, iron rails, big long glass windows in the middle of a forest, it was almost magical or hidden.

Teray got out and unlocked the doors, opening it for her, "Welcome to the Hira Mansion..". Lilac got out and watched his every move before taking a look at the house in front of her, her jaw dropped and looked around to see where she was. "This is a forest?! And you live here? Its so peaceful.. No traffic no people..", Teray chuckled and moved his hand on her lower back with the other hand showing her the way inside, "This way..".

Lilac walked with him and before walking in Teray opened the door for her. "You're quite the gentleman, not many of those around. "

She walked in and looked around, "Woah... Cosy..", Teray smiled and walked her upstairs but before they could get to the living room there was a man with a tall figure, black hair and glowing red eyes. "Dont startle the guest, Nevark..", Teray spoke with an annoyed tone.

Nevark moved closer towards them, his eyes stopped glowing. "My apologies.. I didn't think you could bring a girl home?".

Lilac was puzzled but aware of the situation she was in, " Y..You aren't going to kill me are you? Please tell me you are wearing eye contacts, its impossible..". Nevark looked at Teray, "You brought her here without asking? Seriously you can't follow one human rule?.."

He spoke in such a well mannered tone followed by an annoyed grunt, "I'm so sorry, my dear. My idiot brother doesn't usually do this and he never listened to our mentor. Are you alright? Your heart is beating quite fast..".

He moved closer but with each step he took forward, Lilac moved backward away from them into a different room, "Wh...What are you?! You are both creeping me out and I just want to go home! ...". Lilac looked around the room and saw many books, almost reminding her of a library. "I... I'm in a dream.. I swear I'm dreaming.. Lilac wake up, those manga's are messing with your head!". Teray was confused on why Lilac was feeling this way, looking at his brother and had feelings of frustration.

Nevark rushed over as Lilac began to get so overwhelmed with everything happening that she just began to faint.

Lilac began to wake up on a very furry warm bed, a wet cloth over her forehead. "The hell happened?... Second of all.. Whose bed is this.. Its so furry.. Its quite comfy". Nevark was in the chair across the room with a book, "I'm so glad you enjoy the bed, did you have a good rest?".

Lilac looked over at him, quickly sitting up as the cloth fell off her head, " You! Don't touch me! You are weird just like your brother!". Nevark closed the book and looked over at her.

"If you honestly think I'm going to kill you, maybe you should take another nap. I would have killed you when you arrived. You just woke up from fainting a few moments ago so I will not explain my brother and I until you calm down and willing to cooperate." He got up, walking with his book out of the room and closing the doors behind him.

Lilac sat there in confusion, "Explain? And calm down? I am calm!" Lilac began talking to herself in question of the two men she had just met. A servant walked in with a bed tray for Lilac, "Your supper, ma'am.".

The servant places it on top of her legs and walks out, closing the doors behind her. Lilac stared at the food and went wide eyed, "Rice and Eggs?! Red roses and water... Maybe they aren't dangerous... Just a nibble..", Teray walked in her room noticing her finishing her meal, "For a girl you really can eat!" He was so shocked.

Lilac choked on the last bit of rice and began to cough, "Don't just walk in on a girl, idiot!". Teray laughed and leaned against the doorway, "This is my house, did you forget?". Lilac looked away and moved the bed tray to the side and got up, looking around.

"I know where I am! Your brother wants me calm and he wants to explain something to me, where is he?", Teray got pushed out of the way by Nevark as soon as he heard his name, "I'm here, now are you sure you can handle the information? You cannot tell another soul."

Lilac sat back down, "Why would I tell anyone?". Teray's eyes turned from light blue to bright red with fangs coming out. Nevarks eyes were a cold but warm feeling of gold, a long black tail began to sway behind him.

Lilac stared at them both, "Wh... Werewolf and a Vampire?" Lilac sat in confusion and fear. Nevarks eyes turned back to normal dark red and his tail disappeared as well as Terays eyes went back to normal. "Yes, Teray is a Vampire but as for me, I am a hybrid. I am half vampire and half werewolf, do not be frightened. We are here to protect you, Lilac."

Lilac pondered in confusion, "Wait what? Okay.. How do you know me and why are you protecting me?". Nevark looked over at her and sighed, "We were born to protect you, Lilac. Your mother and father were our leaders and when you were born you became our mission..".

Teray walks closer towards her, "Lilac we spent years finding you.. And might I say you turned out to be very delicious--" at the last of Teray's words, he was hit on the head by Nevark and his words followed on after. "Do not listen to him... He has not fully understood his cravings just yet. Do you understand clearly, Lilac?"

Lilac looked up at them both in confusion still, "Uhhh... No. What is there to protect me from? Demons and ghosts?" She followed with a nervous laugh and a shrug. Nevark nodded and spoke with a warm smile, "Exactly that. You will understand in time, dear. For now you will be with one of us at your school and at your home."

Lilac's eyes widened and her face went bright red, "Ex...excuse me? At my home?! Nope! No way! That's private!!" She replied with a defensive but embarrassed tone. Teray noticed how embarrassed she was and began to burst in laughter, "Sorry pumpkin. We have already signed a contract. I will take you home when you request it." Nevark waited for Teray to walk out, closing the door behind them and their footsteps disappear down the hall.

Lilac laid back and sighed in annoyance. "Why me.. What is it that's so important! I'm just a highschool student..". A few moments later she had gotten a text from Kirai, "Ugh... Here we go...". She unlocked her phone, going into her messages and reading the message from Kirai.

" 4:39pm: LILAC!! YOU LEFT ME AT SCHOOL!! 😩😤 You owe me a whole weekend of watching anime!!"

" 4:41pm: Yes I still love you... Just make sure you don't get taken away next time! 😥"

Lilac smiled and then sighed in boredom, "Oh Kirai... You are such a bossy friend, how can I keep you in the dark like this.. For god knows how long..". She sat there pondering until her phone vibrated in her hand, the alarm on her phone was telling her it was time to go down to the bookstore for the new book she was waiting so long for. "AH! I'm late! I'm so late!!".

Nevark rushed in as well as Teray both of them saying the same exact thing. "What happened?! Are you okay?!", Lilac looked at them with worry. "I'm late to buying this book I was really excited to read..", Teray slumped over and looked unhappy, "I stopped my drink for this?", said while walking down the hallway. Nevark looked at her and smiled softly, " How about I take you? We can go and get it and I will take you home?", Lilac looked over at him and then her phone.

At the bookstore, a crowd of people were lining up from inside and out as Lilac and Nevark arrived there. Lilac went wide eyed, shocked to see how many people there were. "Why so many people?!", Nevark heard Lilac's heart beat so fast he was unable to count them all. "I'm going to guess you don't exactly like people, Lilac..", she shook her head slowly and began to shake before Nevark slowly put his hand on top of hers, " Hey.. I'll go in with you, if that will make you feel better?". Lilac looked down at his warm gentle hand on top of hers, looking at his eyes as her heart slowed down immediately, "Sure, thank you..".

After waiting almost fifteen minutes, Lilac and Nevark were inside the store and he noticed all the fiction-fantasy novels people had written about werewolves and humans, vampires and humans and all the romance stories. "Your kind really loves our nature in a book huh?" He whispered in Lilac's ear softly as it made her drop the book she was reading, quickly picking it up. Lilac looked up at him, having shivers run down her spine and goosebumps appearing on her arms.

"Ah... Yeah.. It is pretty common I guess." Nevark tried to hold in his laughter from seeing her drop the book, "Well you seem to like it as well.". The book in Lilac's hand was a common Werewolf and Human fiction novel, Lilac gulped and went red in shame.

"Ah... Don't take it the wrong way please...", her heart began to beat fast as Nevark looked at her while listening to her heartbeat, "I won't, I'm just teasing you. Calm down..." He responded with his hand on her head waiting for her heart to slow down, Lilac looked down and her heart began to slow as she felt the warmth of his hand and the affection.

They walked up to the cashier and Lilac's heart sped up again, she started to panic and Nevark began to worry about her state. The cashier smiled at Lilac but began to blush when she saw Nevark, "Hello, what can I do for you?".

Lilac gulps in worry, her mouth trying to open to get a single word out but before she could everything went silent as she felt Nevark's hand glide along her back and the other pulling the book from her hand, smiling to the cashier. "Just this please..", Nevark's voice was so hard to hear and it was almost like a dream.

All of a sudden, they were walking out of the bookstore and Nevark stood in front of her, placing his hands on her cheeks and looking into her eyes. "Lilac.. Lilac.. Are you okay? Lilac?", she looked up at him and everything became clearer, "Y...Yeah? Sorry I... Freaked out.. I'm not good at public speaking..".

Nevark took a deep breath out of relief and giving a warm smile for her talking, " You scared me, I thought you were going to faint or something had happened. You look flushed.. Come on I'll take you home." He walled her to his car as Lilac walked in confusion to what just happened, "Why the hell is my heart beating so fast..".

Lilac and Nevark were sitting separate from each other across the room. Lilac sat on her bed, knees up to her chest. Nevark sat in a chair near the window, "Its 8:27pm, you can stop looking at me now." Lilac was looking at him very much in her own world, "Huh? I'm not staring at you... I'm thinking".

Nevark let out a small chuckle and looked at her, "Oh is that so? You are totally not thinking about me." Lilac shook her head and the sound of heart was beating faster and faster, "No! Shut up! Can you leave now? Its been almost 3 hours. I do want to take a shower..". Nevark crossed his arms and smiled playfully, "Off you go, I'm not stopping you. Unless you don't trust me enough?".

Lilac blushed hard and quickly jumped up, opening her closet doors and getting a pair of clothes, quickly walking to the bathroom. Nevark sat there and pondered, watching her leave. "I can't get too close..".

Back at the Hira mansion, Teray was working out in his room. Stopping and taking a break, he pondered to himself and looked at the clock on the wall. " They went to get a book and take her home.. That was ages ago.. I'm worried..", walking over to his desk and grabbing his phone. He began to text Nevark, typing furiously.

"Where are you? I thought you were supposed to come home ages ago?! Teray."

Nevark felt his phone vibrate, getting his phone out while listening to the water in the shower. Swiping right in his screen to view the message, he began to read it and chuckle. "Ah he is so annoying.. And immature." He began to type back and reply to Teray's message.

"I'm starting my job now, protecting Lilac. Be home in the morning. Nevark.", he put his phone on Lilac's desk and waited for Lilac to come back out.

Within half an hour, Lilac comes out with short PJ shorts and a low cut t shirt on. "When do I get my house to myself? Never?", Nevark looked over at her standing in the doorway and smiled. "I'm leaving in the morning. I just need to fulfill my duties.", Lilac sat down on her bed and sighed.

Nevark's eyes began to go gold from the moonlight, walking over and sat on Lilac's bed in front of her. "You know, you have been staring at me since we got to your place. Your heart skips a beat when I talk to you. That's such a tease..", Lilac went wide eyed and moved backwards slightly. " Wh.. What?", she began to notice his eyes and his pupils were dilated. "N.. Nevark I think you are losing yourself here..".

Nevark began to move more towards her, with every move he made towards her, Lilac would lay almost flat on the bed with her legs spread apart and against his hips. " N..Nevark... Please.. Don't I--" before she could finish her sentence, Nevark's lips touched her neck.

He was fighting his urges so hard that if he were to continue, he might lose all control. "Lilac, your skin and your blood are the purest. I want you to myself and.. I can't." He whispered in her ear, deeply and softly. Lilac began to breathe heavily, "Tell me you are joking here... Tell me you are strong enough to fight back."

Nevark began to grip the sheets and slowly pulling away from her, moving towards the end of the bed. "...I am so sorry, Lilac. Please, do not be frightened of me.. This doesn't usually happen." Lilac gulped and was practically frozen in the spot she was in, "I.. I'm not frightened, I just.. Uhmm.." Nevark looked at her in shame of himself, "Don't do that... Don't lie to me, I can hear your heart and its racing beyond a thousand miles."

Lilac looked at him in pity of him, "I'm sorry if I caused you pain.. Well that's what it looked like, pain. I.. I'm not scared of you, Nevark.." In a flash of a few quick seconds, Nevark got back on top of her and began to raise his voice a little, "This?! This does not frighten you?! In just two seconds you could become mine." Lilac looked up at him and her heart began to beat almost so fast it was critical. "You are starting to frighten me now... Yes."

Within two hours, Lilac laid there asleep and cuddled up to her blanket. Nevark sat on the chair near the window, looking over at her and noticed how cold she was. Getting up off the chair, he got on her bed and over the covers while moving his arm around the back of her. Lilac had felt instant warmth and coddled up to him almost like as if she felt safer around him.

Nevark looked at her, moving her hair away from her eyes but before he too could fall asleep with her, his phone vibrated. "Damn it.. Who is seriously texting me?", he picked up his phone from the nearby drawer and swiped to open the message. " 10:56pm: Nevark, I'll come by at 6:35am sharp to take Lilac to school. Teray.", Nevark sighed and turned his phone off. "You shall not have her..".

The next morning on her way to school with Teray, they were stopped at a traffic stop. "Ahh.. Another day in paradise.. Hey Lilac?", he looked over at her and immediately noticing at how distracted she was. "Lilac? Are you okay? Did everything go fine last night?", Lilac came to her senses and looked down and then back to looking outside the window. "Yeah.. Everything was fine. I'm just tired and overwhelmed with everything going on..." Her voice was soft but it wasn't calm.

"You sure? He didn't try anything did he?", Lilac instantly looked up and looked over to the side, "No... Not at all..." She said with a fake smile. Back at the Hira Mansion, Nevark was in his room with a young woman slumped from him draining her of blood, instantly dropping her to the ground while blood trickled down from his lips to his chin. "Must.. Control... Myself.."

Teray noticed that when Lilac looked away from him that there was a mark on her neck. "What happened to your neck?" He said demandingly but trying to sound worried. Lilac looked at him and then moving her hand over her neck, "Ah.. I must have scrubbed myself well last night.. I showered and yeah.. Don't worry."

Teray looked at her neck and then back at the road, his mind running with thousands of reasons why she has that mark on her neck. Teray began to drive and noticed that the mark was almost like a bruise, there was only one thing he had left to ask her. "Does it hurt at all, Lilac?", Lilac looked at him in panic, " Ah.. No? Not at all. I'm fine!" She lied and reassured him, Teray signing in frustration knowing what that mark is.

Getting to the school, Lilac and Teray got out of the car as soon as it was parked. Nevark was behind their car, cleaned himself up from this morning. "How was the drive?" He asked immediately as he saw Lilac. Teray looked at him while watching Lilac completely avoid his question and walking over to Kirai. "What happened last night, Nevark? She seems scared." He said in a tone of anger, walking closer to Nevark while balling his fists.

Nevark smiled and looked at him with sarcasm, "Nothing happene--" before he could finish his sentence, he was thrown onto the hood of Teray's car. "That is bullshit! You couldn't control yourself, could you?! Marking her like that?! I know that's a god damn hickey! What happened?!" He demanded Nevark for an answer but all he got was laughter and a response, "Wouldn't you like to know?" Nevark smirked and looked over at everyone else, "Now you wouldn't want to start a scene, would you?".

Teray got him off his car, locking it and walking off, his body shaking in so much anger. Lilac looked down while walking with Kirai through the doors of the school, not knowing how to feel. Kirai looked over their shoulders, seeing Nevark getting up off the ground and Teray following after them. "Hey.. Lilac is everything okay?", Lilac didn't say a word, nodding to her question. Kirai was confused, not knowing how to react or what to say instead she just stayed by Lilac's side and stayed silent.
