You think once a doctor tells you that you've pregnant that you'll be happy whether or not you wanted a child.

Not Kathleen aka Kath. She was furious but she couldn't show the Doctor what she was really feeling so she plastered a fake smile on her face to portray she was happy and shocked. She took her results and as soon as she got home burnt them but then came up with a plan.

She'll give birth to the child then leave her on a random person's doorstep.

After six and a half months she have birth to a beautiful baby girl with purple eyes that looking if they are glowing. After she got out of the hospital she called her older sister to meet her at her home.

When her sister Sarah arrived at her home she was shocked to hear a baby's cry. She entered the house and followed the sound of the cries and enters her sister's dirty room with a baby laying on the small bed while Kathleen smoked watching the baby with disgust.

"Who's the mom?" Sarah asks casue she knows her sister is always careful when coming to sexual activity. So unless she stole this child from one of her ex-clients woman to spite them that is no way this child is hers. Right?

"Why are you standing there like a gaping fish? Come and say hello to your niece" Kathleen says causing Sarah to drop the and of groceries she was holding. Kathleen rolls her eyes, places her cigar in the ash tray and proceeds to get ready for work.

"So why don't you feed her then. Make her stop crying?" Sarah asks as she regains her composure.

"Oh hell no. I ain't breastfeeding no baby for my boobs to sag. I'll take advantage of it increasing in size though" she says smirking to herself as her sister amped her way over to the bed to comfort her niece.

"What's her name?"

"She ain't got one" Kathleen says not giving a damn causing Sarah to swallow her cat's growl at her sister's lack of interest in her daughter. They may be step-sisters but they grew up with ever paying attention to titles.

"What about Kailani?" Sarah asks causing Kathleen to stop what she's doing.

"Why do you want to give her such a beautiful name? Why use mama's heritage to name her?" she asks.

"Because no matter what happens to her, I believe she will survive besides her name means sea and sky. Koa shall be her nickname" she says smiling at her niece who's dropped crying and fallen asleep.

"Whatever. It's not like I'm keeping her so I don't care what you make her" Kathleen says.

"Why don't you want to keep her?" Sarah asks as her cats starts to get restless in the back of her mind.

"Sarah, I haven't found my mate yet and when I do find him I want to have my first child with him. First child with some client I can't even remember the name of. So don't worry I'm not going to kill her just disown her." She says adjusting her denim mini skirt and red crop top then slips on her stiletto heels and refuses to put on any makeup.

"Look, I gotta go to work aite. There's Enfamil in the kitchen mix a bottle and fees her when she gets hungry and by the time I get back home, that waste of and egg and sperm should be gone" she says before she struts off slamming the front door of her rundown home.

Sarah looks at her niece and tears comes to get eyes as she faces the fact that she has led baby Koa go especially since her cat has already become possessive of her.

Composing herself she gets a picnic basket places a baby pillow in it along with a blanket then places her gently into the basket, scribbles her name and nickname, date of birth on it then heads to her car.

She places the basket gently in the front passenger seat then drives off looking for a suitable place to put her. She sees a young couple looking sad in-front of a beautiful two story house sitting on the front porch.

She parks a short distance away and waits until they go inside. When they do she waits a few minutes before she approaches the front door placing the basket down gently then knocks loud enough for them to hear before she leaves.

The front door opens to reveal the young man who eyes the basket suspiciously before he lifts it and take it inside. He calls his wife Anna as he gases into the kitchen and places the basket on the island counter. When Anna enters the kitchen her motherly instincts kick in and she makes her way over to the basket.

When she opens it she gasps and reaches in to take out the sleeping baby girl. When Sam sees her his gaze softens as he approached his wife. A piece of white paper gets his attention and he unfolds is to reveal information regarding the little girl.

He shows it to his wife and she decides not to change a thing about it. Both agree that they will register her as their own the following day for all they wanted to do then is get to know their baby girl.

Anna and Sam smile as they watch their daughter chase butterflies in their backyard with a huge smile on her face. When they found out what she really is they took her to a friend to help her to control her cat and wolf.

She was smart and nature for a 4yr old. She knew her parents had cancer and that their time was limited. She didn't care she loved her parents.

They were well involved in the supernatural world, Sam supplied them with weapons and her mother made drugs and poisons for them. Even though her parents kept their secret that didn't have freedom or the protection of the lack they provided these things for.

Every now and then members from the came to the house and beat up her parents for fun while she hid. They never saw her or smelled her. Her parents made sure they always thought that she was by her grandparents.

"Bye Koa" her friend Kayla says waving with her free hand as her mother holds the other.

"Bye Kayla" she says waving back smile of her face then she turns the corner as Kayla and her mother crosses the street. On her way home she greets her neighbor's with a smile which they return.

When she enters her home she gets a strange feeling but shapes it off and proceeds to head to her father's workshop following the cobblestone path. As she gets closer to the shop she gets the heavy metallic smell of blood.

'Something is wrong Koa' her wolf Ezera says causing her to break out into a run trying to keep her panic under control at the same time.

The small of blood increases as she gets closer to the shop and what she sees in-front of the house makes her skid to a stop. Three bodies lie in-front the door of the house. The one leaning against the door is her father.

"Papa!" she screams making her way over to him not caring that she's getting blood on the ends of her dress. She crosses the two bodies in her way to get to him. Kneeling beside him she checks for a pulse and starts to cry.

She hairs a faint loan inside and she keeps up at the sound. She pushed the door open causing her father's body to lie flat in the wall way but she doesn't care as she calls;

"Mama" she says and Anna replies;

"Over here sweetie" her voice barely above a whisper.

She makes her way to the back of the house where her father has his charcoal pit to see her mother with her back against it facing the door, blood pouring out of the stab wound to her chest.

"Mama" she says crying harder as she kneels next to her mother who takes her hand in her blood covered one.

"Oh my sweet baby girl. I'm so sorry we couldn't play the game better." She says years rolling down her cheeks.

"Mama, it's going to be ok" she says as she placed her hands on her mother's chest in attempt to heal her but her mother stops her.

"Koa, don't" she says pushing her daughter's hands away.

"Mama please." and Anna shakes her head no.

"Koa, I don't have much time. Just know that I love you and you need to leave now" and Koa shakes her head no.

Anna grabs her face in her hands making Koa look her in the eyes then she nods.

"I love you Koa, pass through the back. Now go!" She says pushing her daughter away from her. She stumbles slightly but regains her footing then dashes out the back door not looking back.

Eventually when she is far enough she stops to take in her surrounding and possibly find a source of food. She spots a blue berry Bush and let's out a sign of relief when Nyx her cat says;

'That is not going to full us' Koa thinks.

'Well do you have a better idea? Ezera asks a little irritated.

She says a couple handfuls of berries then proceeds to find a lake to wash off the blood on her clothes. She wonders for a while until she finds one. Smiling to herself she runs to the end of the pond and washes her face. She about to take off her dress but changes her mind cause you never know what perverts at hiding in the forest. She enters the lake making sure to be careful where she place her feet. Only when the water is up to her waist does she stop and starts to wash the blood off of her clothes.

When done she goes back to shore but stops short when she heard a twig snap. Listening for the source she says rooted to her spot when she sees 4 wolves coming towards her, their mouths dyed in blood. Two have a dirty brown color, third is light brown and the last one is grey.

Not moving a muscle she just stares at the grey one who approached her carefully sniffing her trying to communicate with her.

'Bow your head, Koa' Ezera says causing her to fist her dress but she does as she's told. She heard the cracking of bones but keeps her eyes trained on the floor.

"Hey, it's ok. You can look up" the stranger says and cautiously looks up to be met with dark brown eyes. When she does she causes the stranger to gasp at her eye color.

"Where are your parents child?" she asks stopping down to her level shaping off the shock.

"My parents are dead" she says then she hears more bones crack. When she looks up again she sees three men standing behind the kind lady and......with no clothes on also thin. Way to thin for a werewolf.

"What your name little one?" the kind lady asks.

"Koa. What's yours?" she replies.

"Kim. The blonde is Nate, Raven haired is James and the last guy is Jack" she says pointing at each one individually.

"We gotta take her back" Nate says.

"But how are we going to explain it besides a barely get enough to eat any way" James says.

"Well, I'm not asking you to" Koa says shocking then.

"I'll be fine on my own" she says looking at the floor once again.

"No, you're coming with us and that's final." Kim says glaring at James who's glaring at Koa.

They take Koa home to their safe pack to meet their leader. Their Abusive Alpha.

When they finally return home, Kim makes sure to hold Koa close to her just in case the soldier's decide to 'play' with her. When they get to the servant’s house which is not in a livable condition but the staff makes it work. They carefully enter the house, Koa in tow then make their way to their mother's room

"We'll talk to mom in the morning" She says to her brothers then takes Koa's hand and leads her to a guest bedroom.

When in the room, Kim turns to Koa and asks;

"Are you scared to sleep on your own?"

"No" she replies as she looks around the room. It's simple yet has a cozy feeling to it. Kim watches the little girl with a mixture of awe and shock as she isn't really showing any emotion or she's good at keeping her emotions in check.

"Well we'll be sharing a room. You can take the bed and I'll take the couch" she says pointing to a couch that has seen better days. Koa looks at her and shakes her head 'no'.

"I'm just an orphan, I am in no place to chase you out of the comfort of your bed. We can share" She says looking Kim in the eyes causing her to smile. She nods and they both settle onto the bed, yes her mother warned her to be wary of strangers but she trusts that Nix and Ezera will keep her sense sharp as sleeps in case Kim tries anything.

Kim places the three cushions from the couch between her and Koa as a boarder neither of them should cross. Once settled, Kim tells Koa goodnight and Koa replies with a polite goodnight.

The next morning………

Feeling the presence of another wolf in the room which causes her to bolt upright just in time to dodge a hand reaching for her. Her sudden movement causes Kim to wake up confused until she sees Chris, one of the pack abusers and pervert standing close to her bed staring at Koa well…staring at her body and she’s staring at him her eye showing no emotion as he undresses her with his eyes.

‘Who’s this pretty girl?” He asks reaching for her face but she slaps his hand away causing him to growl at her and she snarls despite herself. Kim places her hand on Koa’s shoulder as a sign to stop while she’s unharmed. Forcing herself to keep Ezera at bay as she nods her head.

Smiling in satisfaction his gaze goes onto Kim;

“Who is she?” He asks.

“She’s a nobody, Chris.” Kim says as he approaches Kim’s side of the bed and grabs her face forcing her to look him in the eyes.

“Tell me the truth” he says his eyes flashing yellow for a brief moment.

“We found her when we were hunting and decided to take her in” she replies.

“Well, you’ll be feeding her through your meals and introduce her to Alpha at breakfast’ he says smirking as he lets go of her face but before he leaves the room, he spares a glance at Koa once last time who’s still staring at him, her gaze giving him the chills.

When he finally exits the room the two girls let out a breath that they were holding. Kim turns to Koa and asks;

“Are you ok?’ and she nods in reply.

“Come on, let’s get ready then head to the kitchens” she says getting up and heads to her barely functional bathroom have a quick bath. When done and she puts on her maid’s uniform then she remembers that she’s has no children’s clothes.

“Koa, go have a shower and let me see if I can get some clothes for you” She says and Koa nods as she heads into the bathroom and listens for when Kim leaves the room to sink to the floor pulling her knees to her chest as she lets her tears stream down her face the reality setting in that her parents are really gone. They’re not coming back.

Pulling herself together somewhat she’s takes a shower and is using the towel that Kim left for her when she hears a knock on the bathroom door.

“Koa, I brought some clothes for you” she says and Koa opens the door slightly to take them. She quickly dresses into what Kim brought which is a jersey that’s a dress on her and boy shorts.

‘You can’t be thinking of wearing this with those wolves around us’ Ezera says trying to keep her anger in check.

‘I know but we have no choice right now’ Koa says.

She re-enters Kim’s room to find Nate, James, Jack and Kim there in deep discussions.

“How are we going to provide for her. We can barely provide for ourselves Kim. We should’ve left her in the woods” James says with a snarl.

“Stop it, James. You know as well as we do she’s not old enough to shift and she can’t protect herself from the dangers out there” Jack says.

Growling at them he leaves the room and that’s when the rest of them finally notice Koa.

“Ready to go” Kim asks.

“As ready as I’ll ever be” Koa replies with a barely there-smile.

The four of them make their way to the pack house and enter the kitchens through the servant’s door. Matilda the main cook who looks young for an aged woman, her hear all white like snow. She greets them but stops short when her eyes land on Koa she immediately drops to her level and gives her a smile only a kind grandmother can give.

“What’s your name, dear?” she asks.

“Koa” she replies and then overcome by the urge to hug Matilda she does. Not surprised at all by the gesture, Matilda returns the hug, rubbing her back gently.

“It’s ok dear” Matilda says as Koa pulls away. Smiling Matilda says;

“How about we finish prepare breakfast for those meanies then get to know each other better” and Koa nods in reply a small smile on her face.

With Koa aiding they finish preparing breakfast in record time but with enough time to set the table then she hears the sickliest and hoarse voice ever shout;

“Why the hell is the table set” he shouts causing all the servants to freeze and shiver in fear even giving good natured Matilda the chills.

“Come on now, you heard him. Take breakfast out to the table. Nate, Kim look after Koa” she says instructing everyone. One by one they exit the kitchen and head into the dining room then it’s Koa’s turn to go with Nate and Kim. Clutching the glass bowl of maple syrup. Keeping her head down she follows them. When she enters the dining room she’s hit by the smell of cigarette smoke and the pungent body order of some people.

“Where’s the syrup?” the sickly voice asks and Koa responds in a voice so small a human will have to strain to hear her.

“Here” she says and Alpha David looks around confused as to who answered because she’s hiding behind Nate.

Kim places her hands on her shoulders and pushes her slightly as they both approach the Alpha. When she realizes that the horrid pungent smell is coming from him alone she has to hold back from vomiting.

“Who is she?” Alpha David asks Kim as he stares at Koa.

“She’s an orphan sir and we took her in” Kim says her voice trembling as she speaks.

“Who has authorized this?” He asks as he leans closer to Koa.

Immediately Kim falls to her knees and bows her head;

“No one sir. Please have mercy” she says.

“Look at me child” he says and Koa slowly raises her eyes to meet his and she holds back a gasp making her face as emotionless as can be. His face has scarred, there is no patch of skin unscathed. His gaze makes her feel sick to her stomach as he continues to stare at her. Her gaze falls to the chain he’s wearing around his neck, he’s a part of the dark net.

"Fine she can stay" he says as he takes the bowl of syrup away from Koa. Kim rises from the ground and keeps her head bowed as she and Koa returns to the kitchens.

'Well this'll be interesting' Ezera says as Koa tried to calm her racing heart.
