I am Ahavah Cruz 27 years old. I have everything that life's can offer. But up until now there is a missing part in my heart.

...I was lost in though. when someone open the door of my office....

"Miss Cruz, the things that you had ordered has been completed. The engineer wants to meet you to sign the contract." this is my secretary Ms. Eden.

"Okey Eden, I will be there in a minute." I was about to stand when she gives me a pink paper.

"By the way this is the letter from the orphanage that you are investing in. A girl write a letter to you." she looks at me with an inquiring eyes. "You really love children. Why don't you get married and have your own?"

I stand up and walk out the door. "I am still young, and beside I have no time. There are lots of things to be done." I said and continue walking.

"Ms. Cruz please don't mind me if I say this things. You are already in the age of marrying, but I never heard that you had a boyfriend." she said as we keep walking. "You also need someone to love."

"It's just a waste of time. I am happy in what I am doing right now." We arrive at the engineering office. "let's not talk about it. We have work to do."

"Good morning Ms. Cruz. I had finish the final drapt of the resort you are planing to built in the province. Please check it and kindly add if there is locking." This is Mr. Tan an engineer in the firm that I had estublished 3 years ago.

"Mr. Tan I already seen all of it and it's just perfect. Where is the contract so that I can read and sign for the project to be done as soon as possible."

He gave the contract to me and I signed it.

"Ms. Cruz why did you want to build the resort on that mountain?" he asked.

"I have personal reason. Can you please come and visit the site as soon as possible. I will go ahead now." I walk out the engineering department and head to my office.

Reason?

"Ahavah stop doing that! Even if you die because of studying you will never be successful." says my untie.

"Untie I will just finish this and I will do what you want just give me 5 minutes to finish my project." I said having tears in my eyes.. I will be successful one day and you will see it. I though to myself and fastly finished my project.

"Okey. make it faster I am so hungry now."

she said as she walk away.

Mom, Dad one day I will make my dreams come true and be happy as you want me to be.

My parents died early. That is the reason why I am leaving with Aunt Matilda. She doesn't want me to study because we don't have money, but I want to learn and I know that the key to success is education. I help farmers in my village order to continue my study.

I will succeed one day!! this is the thought I always keep in mind when things are being hard.

I want to finish my study even it's hard. I know one day I'll be successful.

"Ahavah how you are still here it's about to rain. All of your classmate was home at this hour." It was Mrs. Santos my teacher.

"Good afternoon Mrs. Santos, I just wanted to finish my home work here in library." I need to do this because my Aunt will be mad if I take home another homework at home. Home? Home that everyone has except me. how I wish you are here Mom. How I wish there is someone who encourage me. A person that can make me feel home.

"You are so dedicated Ahavah. By the way I have good news to you." She said happily.

"What it is ma'am?" I reacted.

"You can see it yourself." She pass an envelope to me.

As I open the envelope I see a paper where the good news are written.

"I pass the exam for scholarship. Mrs. Santos I can finish my study. I can enter the most prominent University. I can reach my dreams." I am so happy that I cry. Mom look at me. I am starting to reach my dream. I am so happy. I will make you proud of me. If only you and Dad are here.

"I am very happy for you. If your parents are here they will be very proud. You are the first person in this village that can enter in University A." She smiled at me whole heartedly.

"Thank you ma'am." I hug her as I keep on weeping my tears. People of my village are so lovely. Specially those who are older people. Though my aunt did not support me. The village help me in their little way. I help the farmer in return they gave me a little amount of money enough to study in a school and support myself.

"Okey don't cry. Finish what you are doing and go home after that. Your aunt will be worried if you stay late at school."

"Yes Ma'am. Thank you for your support." as if my aunt will be truly worried. she only needs me because I am her slave. Month later I will be graduating and I though I can't make it to A University. Thankfully I pass the scholarship.

"I'm going now. bye." She walk out the door of library.

I have to finish this now or else I will be scolded by aunt. I continue what I am doing and go home after wards.

When I finish the home work it's a little bit dark. The house I live in is far from the school. I am staying at the urban province of D Country, the streets has few street light. It's a little bit of creepy walking alone on the street.

I was walking fast so that I can reach home as soon as possible. Suddenly a group of man appear in front of me. They were looking for something.

"It's just here. He has wound and can't move that fast." says the man who are at the middle. "hurry up search the area."

Because of this I felt really nervous. They are not looking for something, they are looking for someone. I walk faster than I used to be. when suddenly a cold hand hold my arms. when I look around I see a man covered with blood. "Help me!" he said in a weak voice.

I was so scared. I don't know what to do. I can't see the face of the man in front of me but I know that I need to help him. I am familiar of this path.. The one who were looking for him was a little bit far. I guide him at the hell near our village. There was an abandon hat there and can be a place where I can treat his wounds.

When I started to to help him to walk I smell his sent. It was so pleasing that I wonder how does he looks like. He is so devastated that I can hear it in his breath. "Bear it Mister we are near to the hat. Please don't fall as sleep. I will help you but you have to help yourself too. Stay awake, stay with me." I said with a frightened voice. I was afraid when someone looks like dying.

"Thank you Miss. I will never forget your kindness." He said in a low voice. I see his little smile but can see his face clearly because of darkness. Maybe he is a good looking guy. Oh why do I think about his looks.

When we arrived at the place I started to clean his wounds with the help of the light coming from the moon. He has a wound in his shoulder. That's the reason why he bleed. it's no ordinary wound. It comes from a bullet, I can't just let it be. I draw out the knife from my bag and alcohol to sterilized it. 'how can I removed it? I never been able to take it out.'

"Miss I know you were afraid, it's okey I can bear the pain. it's not deep. I was just exhausted because of my long ran and long fight with those guys. Just take out the bullet and it will be fine." says the man.

Am I that easy to read? I take out the bullet slowly and carefully with the army knife that I always carry in my bag. And sterilized it with alcohol. I need to keep his wound bandage. I remember that there is an guava three outside. I get some leaves and grind it with a stone and put it on his wound. I use my handkerchief to serve as bandage.

I clean everything when suddenly I hear noise from outside. "There must be someone in this hat" It sounds like the man I encounter earlier. The person who is looking for this man.

The man is sleeping now. I should think a way that those people would not enter the hat. I go outside and hold my bag.

"That is the lady from earlier!" says the other guy. I keep myself calm. "Why are you here?" he asked.

"This is our hat. My dad just left, he said he will be in our way home because my sister is sick. He entrusted me to taker of our poultry near by. Is there anything I can do for you Mister?" Thankfully I really know this place.

"Oh, we are looking for our friend that was injured, have you seen him?" He said and searching around the corner.

"No I never seen anyone around here." I say casually so that they will never suspect me. "But earlier I saw a man running-walking towards the town. Maybe he reach the town by now." I lied for the sake of the man inside. Hope his not a bad guy.

To prove that there is no one inside I acted out to turn some light but the guys who are looking for the man whom I saved, leave as fast as they could saying. "Young lady thank you for the information that you have provided. Our friend is severely wounded and may face death due to the lost of blood. We have to find him as soon as possible."

"Take care Mister. I hope you find him." At last they leaved. That's right the man may lost a lot of blood if I don't see him. What should I do now.

I walk beside the bed and find the man resting but now awake. "Miss thank you. They are not my friend. They wanted to kill me." He explain. "Do you live here?" he ask.

"No I am not. I am from the near by village over there. I know you are not a bad guy." I don't know why but I can feel at ease with this guy. I feel like I knew him.

I was lost in my thought when he seat and reach for my hand. Because of this sudden action, I fell to his arms.

The sound was from inside my chess. He's warm. He has a fever. "Sir are you okey? Do you feel sick?" I am very concern. What if he got infection?

"I'm okey. It's just a fever. But later on I will be fine. Can I ask another favor?" wow his voice is very handsome... He took my hand as he speak.

"Ye..yes. what is it?" I am nervous I don't know why.

"Do you still have my jacket? I need it so that I can send signal to my body guard to know where my location is." I can't see his face I only know that he has a good figure and a pointed nose. He has a good muscular chess and his arms are very lovable to sleep in. Ahavah what are you thinking? Do you have crush with this man?

"Yes it's here, but can you please let go of me first?" He is still holding me in his hand.

"Oh! I'm sorry. here you go." He gently let go of me and I pick up the jacket near my bag. I give it to him and he press some button.
