“I am Kim Sora and my daily routine, First get up in the morning. Second to freshen up myself (means take a shower, brush and wash the face). Make toast and eggs for breakfast eat and getting ready by 8:30 am and leave for work in the train which is usually packed with people going to work (packed with train where there is hardly any space). Working (getting scolded), eating and going home and as usual there is always one person who is at home. ‘Wang Jackson’.” Kicking him who is lying in the living room looking at the magazine. ‘He is not my boyfriend.’. “Why are you here again? Don’t you want to hangout with your friends?”. “Ayy ….. it’s boring to hangout. I will rather be with you.” Jackson says while giving a smile. “Don’t be lazy and go and hangout and if you don’t want to then go to your home and don’t come here again.” She shouts at him. He ignores. ‘See…. As usual, no matter what I say he always come here. Wang Jackson, he is our neighbour. His parents came here from China when he was 4 years old. He is 3 years younger than me. Used to get bullied when he was child as he didn’t know the language. I felt bad and used to play with him. he spent more time with me growing up. And because of him I don’t have a boyfriend.’ Getting pissed while thinking and looking at him who started watching TV.

“Go home” and starts pulling him. “Noona, I don’t want to go.” And hanging on the sofa. But she continues to pull him, but he is still hanging on the sofa. After a while, both of them gets tried. Catching her breathe, “Why aren’t you going home? Did you again have a fight with your parents?”. He doesn’t say anything as he did fight with his parents. “Are you a child? You are already a college student. Stop fighting with them.”. “But they are the one who is treating me like a child.” He sulks while telling. ‘His parents really love him. No, I mean dot on him. They both give him morning kiss and goodnight kiss. When they went to school for parent’s day. They were so happy seeing Jackson performed that theycried and everyone were shocked looking at them. He went for the field trip for 2 days and one night. They went to school to take him home. They cried while huging him saying they missed him so much and showered him with kisses. I mean I also got second -hand embarrassment looking at them. But I was also jealous looking at them dotting him so much as my mother is a single parent. `My parents got divorced when I was 9 as my father cheated on her. At first, my mother used to cry at night, but she got busy with work and didn’t even had anytime to spend with me and cry as well.’

‘I don’t have much memory with my mom. The only memories that I have is of with my friends, my crush and spending time with this person (Jackson who is laying around and watching TV).’. She then orders food online and watches tv with Jackson. After a while, the food is delivered, and she starts plating up the food. “Come and have the food.” Sora says. Jackson comes and starts eating. “You really need to learn cooking. If you continue to order food, then you are not going to save any money. You really need to start saving up.” He nags her. She gets angry while listening to and as he continues to eat. “Shut up. Are you my mom?”, she says while trying to control her anger. “Noona, you are really not cute. If you continue to act like this, you will never get a boyfriend.” Jackson says while eating. Hearing this something snaps in her and she gets pissed. She grabs Jackson by his t-shirt. “And whose fault is that? Because of you everyone thinks I that I have a boyfriend and that is you.”. “Please clam down. I am sorry I was wrong.” He says looking sacred. She lets go of him and sighs.

FLASHBACK

When she hangout with Nayoen, her best friend from middle school. And she brought her friends some were males and some were females. They went to watch movies and one male named Kang Suho approached her. He was tall and well build and he was not a bad looking guy but not good looking too. “Will you like to have dinner with me? I mean after this everybody is going to go home as it’s getting late.”, he says while smiling awkwardly to Sora and before Sora could answer, her phone rang and vibrate. She looked at her phone and sees Jackson calling her. She tried to ignore it, but the phone kept ranging. She got irritated and answered her phone. “hello” she said while trying to control her anger. “Noona, when are you coming home? It’s getting late.” He said. “I will be late. I am with my friends.” She replied while trying to supress her anger. “I am hungry, noona. Come home fast.” He says like he doesn’t care if she is with her friends. “Then order something online, you idiot.” She says while making a fist with her hand. “Ah….. but I am just a student and I don’t have money to buy.” He makes excuses. “Then. Am I your money bank, you bas…”. She was about to curse but she notices Suho so she puts a fake smile. “Come home I am really hungry. I will die of hunger.”. He hangs up after saying that and Sora couldn’t believe. “This bastard says what he wants and doesn’t even listen to what I have to say.” She murmurs slowly. She then looks at Suho and says, “I am sorry looks like I have to go home.” “Oh.. It’s okay. Maybe next time.” He says awkwardly.

“Because of that idiot I have to reject him.” She whispers to herself while looking dejected. ‘After that it continued whenever I hangout, with my friends, he would always call me to come home. One time I didn’t listen and hangout with my friends till mid night and came home drunk. This punk changed his contact and I didn’t know and when I hangout, with my friends we were eating and drinking when my phone showed a call named as boyfriend and I was so shocked. I mean everybody were shocked and I answered the phone to know who my boyfriend and it was this punk (who is eating his noodles and dumplings carefreely.). and I had to leave as everybody were showering me with questions like “Who is your boyfriend?”, “When did you have a boyfriend?”, “When did you meet him?”, “Why didn’t you tell us?”. And I couldn’t answer any of that. And when I confronted him about it. “why did you do it?”. He told me, “I am trying to protect you from bad guys. There are so many bad guys out there.”. He looked so proud of himself that I wanted to hit him. I can’t really understand him. He calls me if I don’t reach home by 10:00pm. What is he? My dad. This punk, I want to hit him, but he always waits for me at the station cause, he thinks that it is dangerous for me to walk alone. I guess it’s good to have him around.’

“Ahh.. I am so full. Next time please order pork cutlet and jajangmyeon.” He says while touching his stomach as he is full. ‘I take it back. He is so annoying that he makes me mad.’ She looks angry. Suddenly Jackson gets chilled as if somebody is staring at him intensely and it was Sora who was looking at him. “I am sorry about what I said earlier. Please don’t be angry.” He says while looking sorry. “It’s okay.” she says and continues to eat. ‘I mean it’s not his fault I am scared to be in love. I have seen my parents in love but after they divorced, they behaved as if they don’t know each other. Even my friend Nayeon dated Hyunjin since middle school. They were so lovey- dovey with each other that I thought they will marry each other. But they broke up after dating for more than 4 years. Even when they meet at the hallway, they ignored each other as if they didn’t date and didn’t knew each other. They all looked happy when they were together like nothing in the world would change their love for each other. But it all changed. Now, they are stranger. I had a crush on Jang Wooyoung sumbae. He was handsome and kind who helped us junior with the study. I loved how he smile and how caring he was towards us (juniors). I tried confessing but I was interrupted by another girl.’
