Tale Of Us

Pilot

The wind swayed into the castle, opening the main doors. The doors banged against the wall hard but none of them was surprised. As if they were not there at all. Farez, who just walked in looked at everyone weirdly. Everyone was there in the hall. But, they were too quiet to his belief. He could not think of any reason for them to not speak when he came in.

“Hm, so. What’s good?” He asked, closing his fairy wings, leaving dust to fall onto the ground. Small fairies, who were the maids, quickly flew there and wiped away the dust.

Finally, another fairy named Afnan could look at him. “The Eldest died. We do not know who should we put on the throne.” His voice was quite straightforward and very monotone.

Then, Farez realised what happened. The Eldest died!

Meaning, their county was now without a king!

Laila walked into her chamber, some little fairies were helping with her too long of a robe, making it float so she would not step on her own black robe. Her pale face showed right away who she is. Her lips were red and around her eyes, there was a hint of black colour.

“I am upset.” She stated. She looked around and stopped as she saw her best friend, Nelly. “Now, the whole castle is all worked up for the throne.”

“I can see that. Do you think that our kinds can be on the throne?” Nelly asked, as she sat on Laila’s bed. Not asking permission since the bed was already like hers.

“I think we should be on the throne. You know how terrible the fairies are.” Laila sighed.

Nelly blinked twice. “Are you sure? I have seen Afnan managing the event we held the other day very well.”

Laila nodded. “I know that. But, The Eldest is our blood-related family. So, we shall take this as our task. We should fight for this.”

Nelly finally nodded in agreement. “Then, I shall call upon Eiman and Lily to discuss our plan?”

The sword went back and forth. Those three humans, suddenly transformed into a pegasus. Their wings flapped as they flew in the sky and started fighting up there. People chanted and when the male knight, Molish fell onto the ground, the fight up there got tougher as Nayli and Aainaa began to fight their ways. After a few moments more, the two ladies flew down as they both could not go on flying anymore. Their wings were not as big as male wings but they fought harder just because of that.

“Grab me some water, will you?” Nayli ordered their fellow, Molish, who was still chasing his breath.

“Grab it yourself. I’m not one of those maiden fairies.”

Aainaa sharpened her eyes towards the guy. “Keep your mouth sealed or you will offend them!”

Molish raised his one eyebrow in wonder. “Why do you care now? We always use them anyway.”

“Yes, we do. But I heard somewhere that the fairies want to take part in the throne election. Afnan, Tyna and Anis are going to take part. That’s what I heard from Ara and Najwa.” Aainaa patted on Nayli’s back. “So, we should be aware of our actions towards their kinds. If they won, we would be ashamed so badly that being knights will kill us without having to fight in the battle.”

“Nah, I’m not believing this thing. If they want to elect, we should too. They are just fairies. We are knights. I am sure we will be allowed to take part.” Molish smirked.

“If you want to be on the throne, you should be watching your attitude.” Nayli gave a small smile before she walked away, pulling Aainaa to follow her.

“Did you hear what Najwa and Ara said to  Nayli and Aainaa today?” Abby asked, as she wiped the floor at the kitchen with her fairy dust.

Dini, turned her head. “What did they say?”

Abby was shocked that she accidentally dropped all the dust she had swept into the pot.

“Oh my God!” They both panicked. That was when Anis and Tyna flew in, stopping near them.

“What is going on?” Tyna asked. Confusion on her face draped over to Anis’.

“Oh, nothing. We are just chilling.” Dini answered while scratching her chin. Abby immediately followed her action and awkwardly laughed.

“Dini is right. We are just chilling.”

“Okay, move aside. We want to take the soup to the vampires.” Anis said as she strove to the pot.

“Wait!” Both Abby and Dini shouted. Then, they looked at each other. “Nevermind, just ask them to be careful.”

Tyna and Anis watched them with suspicion. They took the pot and bowls, flying across the hallway to the dining hall. There were four vampires there. Laila, Lily, Nelly and Eiman.

“We need to know stuff if we want to be on the throne so we should hit the library,” Aainaa said as she grabbed one book and threw it at Molish’s face. Then, she properly gave another to Nayli. “Read those. They are really important if you want to be slightly smarter than fairies.”

“You need to read on your own. If you ask the fairy to do it for you. Then, it is no use. I will come back and ask questions.” Aainaa flew out from the library, transforming into what people call pegasus.

Nayli and Molish changed looks. “Why isn’t Aainaa reading?” They both asked each other, in total unison.

“You need to know how to fight, Afnan.” Ara shifted into her human size and took a knight’s sword and gave it to Afnan, who was already in his human form.

“Wait, I don’t want to join the election.”

“Ha, I know. But, we want you to.” Farez took another sword and clang it to the one his friend was holding,

Both Ara and Najwa exclaimed in excitement.

“Then, you shall fight,” Najwa exclaimed as she sprayed her dust towards the two men.
