Kai wasn't your average man. He holds a supernatural ability: he's a werewolf. By day he was the most powerful mafia boss, by night he was the werewolf king. His mafia crew were also werewolves, some had chosen to remain human to protect those in werewolf form from any danger.

It seemed the future queen of Kai's werewolf pack would be human. A shock to all, it had never been possible for a human girl to become the Queen of a werewolf pack. But for some reason, fate chose a different path.

Well, the human girl destined to be Kai's mate wasn't fully human. Her bloodline had magic. She came from a family of witches, wizards and faries. After years of her family bloodline being without magic, Kai's mate unknowingly inherited the witch and fairy powers.

The werewolf bloodline in Kai's family was going to be changed forever. After centuries of remaining pure blood werewolves, it would end with Kai. And hybrids would take over. Although it would cause drama at first, Kai's family accepted that their bloodline was going to be altered.

It was a big step and a good one at that. With fairy and witch blood werewolves, Kai's clan was going to be stronger than before. And they made sure to keep this hidden in case their enemies wanted to take the girl.

But how could they keep it hidden? The wolf clans had already found out that Kai's mate was human. It wouldn't be long before they found out that the human girl wasn't so human. Or perhaps they wouldn't.

A double agent was among Kai's crew. And it wasn't that hard to figure out who. Kai had his suspicions for sometime now, and he could finally prove it. Making an example was going to be easy, Kai hated double agents. This wasn't the first double agent his mafia crew had and it certainly wasn't going to be the last either.

But knowing the other packs, and after he made an example no one would ever consider trying it again. Kai wasn't stupid, he knew he was hated. And frankly Kai didn't really care, no clan leader was born to be liked only feared and hated.

Only it seemd one person wasn't scared of him. His mate, the future queen didn't fear him. She brought out the best in him, something that no-one had really been able to do in a long time.
