26th of July year 855. The last nine members of the Survey Corps were staying at the beach outside of the walls for

a few days. After several hours Levi came to check on the others.

- Hey four eyes\, you look down today\, not your usual.

- You remember her? Fate… I wish I wasn’t too late to

say goodbye.

- What is it today?

- The day she died. I feel so guilty I never said goodbye\,

I didn’t know anything since she left the Scouts. I didn’t found the body, I

wasn’t able to save her after all she did for me.

- It wasn’t your fault back then. She died because of

a reckless decision, she shouldn’t have got herself into that situation.

- Levi\, Hanji what are you talking about\, who is that

girl?

- My best friend she died two years ago…

- I’m so sorry to hear that-

- It’s okay Armin it doesn’t bother me anymore.

- I better go check the others if you see any threat

take battle positions.

- Understood Captain. So Hanji who was that girl you

were talking about?

- Fate\, my best friend we were comrades on the Survey

Corps for three years. Then she decided to leave. I never asked why. I was too

late… I asked about her death, they say it was probably a titan attack because

there weren’t any pieces of gear and the victim’s body was never found. I did a

search to every place outside the walls, not a single clue about her.

- It’s like she wanted to vanish her existence. Can

you tell me more from the beginning when you were at the Scouts?

15th of November year 847. All started four

hours after the ceremonial of the Scouts, the beginning of a long complicated

friendship

-Hi, y-you were the girl that was in the top three Hanji

Zoë right?

-Yes, you were also in the top three am I right?

-Yeah I’m Fate Volsvock.

- Pleasure to meet you.

- If you don’t mind me asking do you want to go for

lunch tomorrow after the training?

- Yeah\, sure.

- Alright.

That’s how I met the best person in my whole life. I

don’t regret any of my decisions.

The days were passing so fast, on 25th of

February it was my first mission outside the walls. Fate was excited about it

while me I was a little bit in tense cause I hated them back then, but now it’s

my everyday life since the day I was promoted.

    While we were riding on our horses, I suddenly saw an abnormal type, so I raised the red

code and we were in battle positions. The abnormal one started running towards

my team the four people in the higher position were eaten. Everyone else ran

away… except me. I was still on my horse and without realizing it two abnormal

types and one three meter titan were surrounding me. I was so panicked, I

didn’t know what to do. I thought I was dead after that, I opened my eyes and I

saw a shadow slaying the last one, then I passed out. The last thing I remember

from that mission is that shadow… after several minutes I woke up, I was in my

room, and then I heard someone crying.

- Why did you do this? Are you out of your mind?

 - I saved my comrade that’s what I did! I couldn’t let her die.

- You are reckless. In battle no one will be here to

save you. You should have let that newbie die she didn’t even attack the

titans.

- At least she isn’t a coward like the others\, they

let the seniors die and while they were eaten these idiots ran away like

nothing happen. She was the last one from the whole team.

- You freaking newbies I’m going to slay you one by-

- Enough!

- C-captain Levi…

- Touch a single one of the new brats and say goodbye

to your position Zack.

- Captain you can’t be serious these reckless idiots

will never listen.

- And you will never touch this exact place after I

feed you to the titans the other team capture. Am I clear?

- Y-yes Captain Levi.

I can’t believe the Captain said these words. I’m

feeling so relieved. All of a sudden the Captain knocks my door.

- You are the brat who was nearly killed am I right?

- Y-yes C-captain.

And Fate open the door...

- My god are you alright?! Were you injured?! What

happened to the-

And he close the door in her face. Like nobody was

here.

- She wastes time… Tell me what happened back there.

- I only remember a shadow\, slaying the last one-

- What was that shadow looking like?

- A woman\, I didn’t recognize her face… anything was happening

so fast-

- Are you close with anyone from the Corps?

- That girl Fate.

- You should rest until the next mission. Your

training starts in three weeks.

Hanji Zoë the second stronger among the newbies. The

shadow our strongest newbie, Fate Volsvock. She truly did a reckless move. For

such a serious and cold person seems really crazy seeing her risking her life

for a brat like that Hanji. Levi knew her since he joined the Corps, she never talk about her past or why did she

joined the Corps. The only person who knows is him Levi Ackerman.
