vin onigasaki is your average teenager who lives a simple life.in school he have three friends.theirs keith,spencer and amon. keith was famous in their school for being smart and for being friendly with almost averyone while amon and spencer was known for their reputation as the terrible duo they prank not only students but also teachers.keith and spencer are foreigners who came from america. they transferred in japan because their mother died when thay were 5 and their father took them with him after knowing that their mother passed away keith's and spencer's father is very famous in japan as a wealthy businessman.keith and spencer's life was full of sorrows at the time but after knowing vin and amano their lives was saved from the endless sorrows they once felt.vin taught keith to be happy and be proud of themselves and to always remember that their diseased mother would always be with them and at that moment vin and keith formed a very strong friendship.10 years later vin's life slowly began getting darker and darker after being traumatized in an incident 3 years ago which led into many deaths because of his decision.while the three are at school vin is always getting into fights trying to find the person who led him to make the mistake that he made.one day before vin was planning on invading gang territories he was heading into a convenient store as he approached the entrance a very cold and dark feeling went through his body which him to stop immediately and in the distance he can hear a girl's voice shouting MOVE.and before he realised it he fell into the streets his vision begun to shrink little by little when he closed his eyes and opened it again he soon discovered that he wasn't in the world he once knew.once again that dark feeling corrodes his body and a silent voice calling to him to come.and vin slowly fallowed the voice that was calling to him leading into a room he reached the end of the room and a word appeared into the air saying "FOR THOSE WHO POSSES UNWAVERING WILL ONE MUST FACE THE TRIALS THOSE WHO SUCCEED WILL BE DEEMED WORTHY TO MEET THE GREAT RULER" swords,spears different kinds of weapon appeared in vin's surroundings he was dumbfounded of the current events happening around him

 then for a quick moment shadows began to appeared rising above the ground was an undead army appeared infront of him vin have no choice but to fight his way through the mob of undead he picked up a sword that was attached into the ground and waited patiently for the undead to reach his range and  for a split second he swinged his sword viciously one after another kill after kill of undead thats been pushing him back into a corner but vin kept on killing the undead that was swarming him.3 hours later of nonstop fighting vin finally killed all of the undead and another word appeared into the air saying"CONGRATULATIONS YOU FINISHED ONE OF THE THREE TRIALS THOSE WHO PERSEVERE THROUGH HARDSHIPS SHALL BE REWARDED"a door appeared and vin didn't gave a thought of whats behind that door once he opened the door he found a table full of food vin quickly rushed into the table and ate the food that was there after he finished and head to the next room and another word appeared it says "THOSE WHO WANTS TO SUCCEED MUST FREE ALL OTHERWORDLY CONNECTIONS"and a spiral column appeared in the middle of the room vin cautiously approached the mysterious column and when he saw the words written on the column he was shocked he red the words slowly as he was terrified"TO PASS THE TRIAL ONE MUST FORGET THE ONES HE HOLD DEAR"vin figured that if he wants to pass the trial he must forget everyone his friends and family even though vin loves everyone he knew but he was prepared to sacrifice everything to find the answers to his questions.and then vin touched the column without a second thought in a quick second he has already forgotten everyone.the vin who was innocent and caring,kind,loving and thoughtful is now gone he was now reborn as a cold and dark person who will kill anyone who gets in his way.the second trial has now been cleared vin walked out of the room and entered the final and last room as he entered a thought pops into his head saying "WHY IS THIS ROOM BIGGER THAN THE OTHER TWO" vin reached the end of the room and a sudden shake happen vin stood their quietly waiting until a door appear out of nowhere the door opened then a high knight appeared approaching vin with its sword vin was stunned after seeing the knight he already knows that it was stronger than him but another thought poped into his head "WHY IS IT JUST STANDING THERE" after the knight appeared it did nothing but just stood there as vin pulls his sword the knight began moving

vin and the knight are on a standoff vin prepares and then he strikes mercilessly swiftly but even though he's fast the knight kept blocking his attacks.attack after attack vin stops his attacks and stepped backs he was exhausted after throwing all those attacks after taking a couple of breaths vin was surprised the knight charged at him vin dodged the night throwed his attacks at him vin can barely dodge the knights attacks and finally the knights attack hit vin.he was sent flying into the walls vin bleeds his breath is getting weak vin thinked "IS THIS WHERE I DIE" he was ready to accept his fate but everything stoped it was like time stoped for a moment the voice that was calling vin appeared again this time it said "CHILD IF YOU WANT TO DIE THEN DIE BUT IF YOU WANT POWER THEN YOU MUST REMEMBER TO NEVER SURRENDER FIGHT TO KILL.FIGHT SO YOU CAN SURVIVE.FIGHT!!!!" vin woke up and then dodged the finishing strike of the knight vin charged and stabbed the knight and took his sword and swunged right into the knights head.now vin marched into the final door and opened it then he once again felt that cold and ominous feeling the room he entered reeked of death and what he saw shocked him.

the end of ep. 1 "intro" next episode "the way to godhood"

vin was shocked and and terrified after seeing the floating existence above the room floating around him it takes 30 minutes for the unknown being to descend and as the mysterious being landed softly on the ground  vin was stunned and every part of his body is telling him the same thing "RUN" as the being hover closer and closer to him and stopped

soon vin realized from the appearance of the being that he was a grim reaper soon as the reaper reaches for vin he said"**CHILD YOU DID WELL MY NAME IS YAMA AND I.AM.THE.GOD.OF.DEATH" **vin was too terrified to give a response to the reaper and it realized that his presence was to much for vin then yama lowered himself and reached for vin.vin thoughts that this is the end that he met an opponent that he couldn't defeat then to vin's surprise he was still alive vin soon realize that he can talk again his composure has returned and he now have the chance to ask"**WHERE AM I"**then yama responded "**WE ARE IN THE UNDERWORLD MY CHILD I WAS THE REASON OF YOUR DEATH I BROUGHT YOU HERE"**vin was confused and he asked "**WHY DID YOU BROUGHT ME HERE WHY DID YOU KILL ME"**yama was surprised that this was vin"s first question but yama ignored vin's questions and instead responded"CHILD YOU WILL NOW CHOOSE EITHER DIE HERE OR INHERIT MY POWER AND BECOME THE NEW HEIR TO THE TITLE"vin was confused and dumbfounded of what he heard from yama vin thinks for a second thinking "WHAT IS A GOD OF DEATH" then vin asked yama. yama responded "****CHILD THE GOD OF DEATH IS THE ONE WHO GOVERNS THE UNDERWORLD AS HIS DOMAIN HE WHO RULE SUPREME AND DECIDES WHO WILL DIE AND HOW WITH MY POWER YOU CAN REIGN SUPREME AND CONQUER THE WORLDS THAT HAS BEEN LYING RIGHT IN OUR GRASP **"**vin was concernedof what will happen if he agrees. some time passed vin asked a ton of questions to yama and yama answered half of them then yama finally says '**CHILD I HAVE ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION NOW DECIDE YOU CAN EITHER DIE OR BECOME MY NEXT HEIR"**vin was prepared of the challenges that awaits him in the near future so with out anymore to say he responded in a cold tone "**I ACCEPT YOUR POWER"**then for a split second yama turned into dust the vin got a glimpse of the future yama last word was relayed to him while witnessing the visions he was getting "**HAHA CHILD YOUR NO LONGER BE CONSIDERED AS A NORMAL HUMAN YOU ARE NOW THE EMBODIMENT OF DEATH NOW YOU WILL KNOW EVERYTHING"a couple of hours have passed vin was lying on the ground knowing that he now have the power of the god in addition of seeing everything vin recovered his memories but vin no longer cares for those memories now he has only one goal and that is to "TO REIGN SUPREME AND RULE MY FELLOW GODS THOSE WHO STAND IN MY WAY SHALL KNOW DEATH"**vin shouted those words as a vow.and vin after preparing vin can now finally exit the underworld.
