This is my first novel here and I hope you all enjoy it. I tried my best to not let you down for the people who gave a thought to this novel.

"Ahhhhhhh.......... " shouted the women lying in bed, who appears to be in her 20s, as she bravely fought the unbearable labor pain. she pushed hard, with all her strength she was left with. Panting heavily she tried to replenish her lost breath. She cried out in extreme agony, caused by the rhythmic contraction of the muscles of the uterus and by the pressure on the cervix. She could experience pain on her thighs as well. She was slowly losing her consciousness, but somehow survived to keep her eyes open

Moments later a small head peeked out as the doctor tried to slowly take out the rest.

All the doctors and nurses witnessed the birth of an infant.

Everything stopped as if someone has messed up with the time. Everyone was stunned by the beauty of the baby. It was small, yet powerful, sparkling like red burning sun. Her milky white skin snooped from the amniotic fluid, blood and vernix which was spread all over the delicate skin.

After she made her big entrance into the world, now comes the umbilical cord. After 5 minutes two clamps were placed near the baby’s belly button and farther down the cord. The cord is cut between these clamps. The doctor hold the section of cord to be cut with a piece of gauze under it. The gauze kept excess blood from splattering. Using sterile scissors it is cut so that the baby is no longer attached to the placenta.

"Congratulations It's a girl" as the doctors exclaimed with a sense of satisfaction on his face.

The nurse took the baby, which was now wrapped up in thick blanket to prevent heat loss, towards the women. She kept the baby near her mother for both of them to stay in the delivery room for at least 2 hours to make sure baby's transitioning to "life on the outside". she placed the baby on her chest to keep the baby warm. Her skin has started to become pink as she started to breathe.

The women then wrapped her both arms around her and kissed her on the forehead.

Tears dropped down the women's rosy cheeks as she looked towards her baby.

After staring for a few seconds her vision blurred and her eyes closed. It was clear that she had felt asleep after going through so much. The baby, alert, continued to explore her surroundings.

After the skin-to-skin contact and the first breastfeed, the midwife took her, weighted and measured her length and head circumference. 

6hrs passed and Once the baby's temperature was stabilized, the first bath was given. Nurse took her to bath to reduce the risk of bacterial infection.

After her refreshing bath she was taken back to her mother and as soon as she heard her voice, she cradled in her arms.

The women, now awake and quite stable, hugged her and kissed her again.

"Cordelia, I am here" shouted a girl, standing in front of the "Shanchang high school" gate. The other girl simple yet elegant with her hair reaching upto her shoulder, wearing the uniform which couldn't hide the dilapidated state of the cloth. She was dazzling even in those shabby clothes....

...She ran towards her friend named Amanda Dankworth, who was a bit cocky and more of a hoiden....

......Unlike her, Cordelia was moderate and an introvertive girl. They were childhood sweethearts. Its the first day of their high school and they were quite excited for it. But their happiness was not to last any longer. As they were walking towards the school building, Cordelia accidentally tripped over and feel down. She looked upward, only to find that she had pulled down the pants of a boy in order to grab something as a reflex to save herself from hitting the ground. Amanda hurriedly came, lifted her and started dusting off the grime on her legs. Cordelia elevated her eyes only to see his red face burning with exasperation. She quickly stepped forward to help him but he slapped her away. A huge mass gathered laughing at the embarrassing situation. The boy became furious by seeing such humiliation, lifted his pants and went inside the school building.

...She was as by her complexion was really worried for him and regretted at her own inattentiveness. Seeing her perplexed, Amanda gave her a hug and tried to console her. After she calmed down, they both went towards their classes and as soon as she entered, they were welcomed by other students. They both sat next to each other near the window. The time slips past with Cordelia's expanding anxiety. She was worried about him and the morning incident was still haunting her. The first half went by with her being hardly concentrating in the lessons, and now was the break time. They both were quietly eating their own food while talking at the same time....

...she was petrified to see the same boy rushing into her class. Amanda gripping her shoulder gestured her to keep quite. The girls started shouting "Senior Chris". All the students surrounded him....

It was clear that he is a popular fella known for his money and face. But outer appearance is not everything, inner beauty is what earns you respect from others. He was ugly and hollow from inside. Everyone feared him. The boy with some other fellow students came towards them and sat in the neighbouring benches, in circular form, blocking their path of departure.......

...Cordelia was horrified, scared to the point she couldn't even speak. All the eyes fixed on them, staring with intense gaze....

...Amanda raised her voice, cutting off the pressure build up and asked "can't you see we are eating, or are you blind, I know a good ophthalmologist. If you want I can book an appointed for you." Another boy standing beside him shouted "who the hell are you girl, how dare you talk like that with Christopher Fernsby, the son of Jim Fernsby, the president of Xiongwei group." before preceding to hit her. He was stopped by a hand pulling him back and then slapped him hard. He clenched his teeth in pain and anger. It was Christopher. He stepped forward and bowed in front of Cordelia only to apologize for his friend's behavior. she was totally taken aback as he slowly shifted his eyes towards her notebooks and spoke out, "Cordelia MacQuoid, nice name, can I call you Lia" she hurriedly said "yes yes sure, and no need to apologize, it was my mistake anyways. I should be the one to apologize" He stopped her in the mid way and exclaimed "such a nice girl ! miss will you be my friend" he asked. She said "of course why not" Everyone in the room was dumbfounded to see Christopher's unusual abnormal behavior. He was a spoiled kid, usually acted arrogantly and was rude to everyone. But because of his status, neither the students nor the teachers could scold or misbehave with him. As a impudent rich kid he wasn't immature in the womanizing skills and often went to clubs and spend his money on sluts. Most of his friends were guttersnipes....

...His sudden change couldn't hide the conspiracy he was plotting while putting up a fake mask. As the saying goes "don't trust everything you see, even salt looks like sugar" , there was something odd which was quickly observed by Amanda as a proof of her quick witted character but Cordelia's lenient nature couldn't sense the approaching darkness....

The incident on the first day of their high school left Cordelia stunned for how quickly the hot tempered Senior whom she crashed on, changed into such a friendly and nice person. But his sudden change in attitude left a hesitation in Amanda's mind. On their way back home after a whole exhausting day Amanda tried to warn her of him and to stay away from him for she was aware of his ill manners. But Cordelia took this matter way too casually and ensured her that she'll take good care of herself and won't get in any trouble.

THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ACT GOOD BUT DEEP DOWN THEY ARE PURE EVIL

...Next day at school Christopher Fernsby showed up again and this time he was alone. He came and sat near Cordelia and chatted with her for over half an hour. Amanda watched his behavior closely and felt annoyed. This continued for several days and both the friends now talked and saw less of each other as Christopher came in between them. Time flew by and the day finally came when Christopher proposed to Cordelia and she accepted. she was in her 2nd year. However Amanda in her mind still questioned his sudden change into such a gentle person. She told her to think twice before taking any action but Cordelia tried to convince Amanda by pointing out how much he is caring and gentle towards her. Amanda sighed while giving up. Both of them started dating....

...On the eve of Christmas Christopher invited Cordelia in his house. Taking advantage of the situation he made his move and tried to convince Cordelia for s*x. At first she was unwilling but then he turned to blackmail her emotionally and at last she agreed. Cordelia left Amanda unaware of this. Months later she found herself pregnant with Christopher's baby. She was horrified and didn't know how to act and what to do next....

This was the last year of her high school and was a vital year for her to accomplish her dream of becoming a Doctor. She did her best to effectuate a satisfactory score. But this news shattered her well weaved plannings for her future studies.

...She wanted to discuss this matter with Christopher but to her surprise he started to ignore her after that night. She tried to comfort herself by telling that he might be busy and that he'll definitely find a way out. But his wicked and evil character was still unknown to her. Amanda noticed her strange behavior and asked her to which she replied while crying heavily that she was carrying his baby....

...Amanda was taken aback for a while and became quite for a moment while Cordelia continued to cry. She then asked "he knows this?" She shook her head and said no and Amanda sighed. She hugged her in order to calm her down and said "let's try talking to him". After the school was over, Cordelia along with Amanda went to his class. Christopher saw her but turned a blind eye towards her....

...She went to him and grabbed his shirt. He replied with extreme irritation " what is your problem ". She was stunned by his attitude and was dumbfounded. Amanda spoke out that Cordelia is pregnant with his baby. His attitude didn't changed even a bit. he yelled in irritation and said " you are going to abort it right ?". Cordelia couldn't believe her own ears. She said "don't joke with me, what nonsense are you sprouting, its our baby, how can you say that, it's our love". Christopher's facial expression changed and he smirked....

..." love? Please don't misunderstand, I was just playing around with you and besides I still remember the humiliation you have put me through, its just a payback. Now that I have got what I wanted, you are of no use to me". said Christopher. Cordelia couldn't hold her tears anymore and fainted.....

THE SADDEST THING ABOUT BETRAYAL IS THAT IT NEVER COMES FROM YOUR ENEMIES.

...He laughed at her state, then turned back and went away. Amanda somehow lifted her and took her to the infirmary. After she gained her consciousness, she started crying again....

Amanda calmed her down and took her to her house, Where she told everything to her mother. Cordelia's mom, Mrs Valentina MacQuoid was a gentle lady and her dad Philip MacQuoid was a hardworking and understanding person. Both of them loved Cordelia dearly. But this news was a huge blow to them. Mrs MacQuoid hugged her and kissed her. Cordelia grabbed her tightly and started to cry and apologized to her. She consoled her by telling it's all gonna be alright....

...The next day they visited a gynecologist. After seeing the baby in fetal ultrasound, she couldn't bear the idea of destroying the baby. she gave up the choice of abortion and wanted to raise the baby....

After 9months and 10days, a small baby girl was born to Cordelia whom she named Philomena MacQuoid. Her name which means "the lover of strength". As She was thinking about the past memories while sitting on the bed, a little hand poked her cheeks. She turned around to see a restless, naughty little girl observing her closely with big wide eyes, trying to figure out what her mama is thinking. The moment she saw this little mischievous newborn, she forgot all she was thinking about. Yes just like this, she'll forget about all the bad memories and start a new life with her little baby.

Nurse gave her the baby after a invigorating bath. The little girl hugged her mother after a happy reunion. Mrs. MacQuoid, Mr. MacQuoid and Amanda all were sitting outside, now came inside the cabin and were joyous to see the little girl. Amanda jumped in excitement and hugged Cordelia. She then turned towards the girl and said, "little girl, I am your Amanda aunty, your mother's Bestie". Everyone started laughing and the baby giggled as well.

Cordelia's mum asked her whether she is fine or not.

Although that night which she spend with Christopher was like a nightmare to her, which she regretted until recently. But after seeing the small life she couldn't help but think how lucky she was to get blessed with such an angel and thanked the Almighty. Now she was her everything and making her a good human being became her ultimate goal. She watched how all of them were laughing and the room full of happiness celebrating the arrival of a new life. She looked towards the girl playing with Amanda and spoke in her mind, "you came on this world and brought a bag full of happiness for me, my little Santa."

I thought that people won't read this because this types of novels are quite boring and people are more focused on the CEO romance novels.
