Spring (Iris)

It was a beautiful day today on the farm. Mother and I both worked the fields today, the flowers returned to show me their beauty once again. I wonder how they bloom so beautifully even though they were born into this cruel unending torturous world. Yet when trouble arrives they simply wither away and come again whenever they please. I wish I could just be like a flower.

"Iris." I hurried toward Mother as she called me. There is was my beautiful Mother, working hard on the flowers and trying to make them into perfume. "Dear, please quit wandering and help me, we aren't going to be able to make coin if we don't finish this."

"I know mother if we don't make this perfume we're going to starve and die."

"Knock that death nonsense off or death we'll be coming for you! You know how hard it's been since your father died."

Father was a good man, a proud strong man. He and Mother loved each other so much. They both decided to live away from the village due to some much drama being within it. They found a nice field full of flowers that bloom and decided to start their life there. A flower shop was something my mother always wanted to do, and my Father would love to make perfume from all sorts of flowers. They both were a perfect match for one another.

Until the day my Father left to go sell flowers, Mother was sick and decided to stay home, I was too small to follow Father, so I stayed with Mother. That day I remember, him not returning, until two later they found his body in a ditch, by the side of the road. He was robbed and stabbed eight times. I still can't believe it, so young and yet already dead. May the Goddess over you Father.

"Iris!" I looked down and realized the flowers were almost burnt. "Add some water to your pot, you're going to burn it!"

"Sorry, Mother!"

Spring (Drae)

"Hurry up there boy, we ain't got all day!

"Yes sir!" Master always yells at me, do this, do that, I swear when will he just shut up?!

"What was that?" Master's death glare is almost enough to kill someone. Shoot, I forgot he knows how to read minds! That's one of the cons of being a warlocks apprentice, they are so good at magic they even know how to read people's minds.

"Nothing sir, I was just talking to myself."

"Well quit it, you're creeping me out, I swear your thoughts talking to yourself and picturing those visions of and that person is disgusting, already 19, and starting to think like..."

"AHHHHH SHUT UP!"

"Hehe, well then hurry up, the king's summoned us and we have no time to waste. Its a royal invitation too, so best not to keep them waiting. You know royal people are horrible at patience."
