"It's not like he has never seen

any women before. And might be receptionist working in his company will be more

gorgeous than me!"

Arohi said to her sister while chatting, confusion written on her all over her face.

She was sitting opposite her sister Aditi and Brother-in-law Shiv.

Arohi was not the type who think too

highly of herself. And one her brother-in-law mentioned was an architect who brought

his company to be mention among the top 10 construction companies within five years. Such a person

would like to meet her, an unknown designer! What a joke!

"Is it that he had some disability or he is ugly that he wants to marry a random girl from a poor family." 

Arohi added. She can't think of a reason for the sudden proposal.

"your brother-in-law's company cannot be considered poor."

Her sister Aditi rolled her eyes at her

and said. She was too lazy to stop her sister's crazy thoughts.

"And Shiv already met him. Shiv said it's Kartik who made the marriage proposal, and also said he knows you."

Aditi added.

As far as Arohi remembered she never

had a male friend (Except for her senior). When did she meet men like Kartik?

And that person even wants to marry her!

“He might have misunderstood me for

someone else. Right?!!”

Arohi said with full confidence.

‘No, Kartik said he you both were in the same university. But he lost your contact. He was

searching for you for a long time”

Said  Shiv while interrupting Arohi’s chain of weird

thoughts. He was already used to Arohi’s silly character.

*“I don’t think he was confused*misunderstood you for someone else”

Shiv said with confidence.

He was also confused why a person like

Kartik would want to marry her silly sister-in-law. He even asked to arrange an early date for marriage. Shiv was worried that Arohi would mess everything up if he suddenly mentioned marriage so he arranged for the blind date.

“Pleaseee ......don’t act recklessly in front of him !.”

Shiv said with a serious face.

“But…”

“No buts, Won’t you know if you personally meet him tomorrow? Why don't you save your breath for tomorrow's date”

Shiv said again while leaning back on the sofa lazily.

But Arohi felt like her heart hang

in the air. She doesn’t know how to refute her brother-in-law.

"That's all for today go back to your room and have a good rest"

Shiv knew that Arohi was going to say something again and interrupted. He was too lazy to interact with his sister-in-law whose IQ and EQ both are average. He walked towards his room with Aditi.

Arohi sat there without moving.

"will you move your butt or going to stay here all night?"

Aditi roared before following Shiv.

Arohi was still not at ease even after entering the room. Tossing and turning she was thinking about what her brother-in-law had said.

She heard her colleague say that Kartik was aloof and never had any women around him. She can't think of a reason he would go on date with her. In her point of view, she was good for nothing.

After thinking for a long while she didn't find any idea.  She fell asleep after an unknown amount of time.

Aditi went to Arohi's room at night as she was unable to sleep. She was worried Arohi will not sleep thinking about tomorrow. When she entered the room she heaved a sigh of relief as Arohi was sleeping like a child. She went over, caressed her face. Aditi treated and protected Aditi as a mother. She never let anyone harm her. That's why Arohi became so dependent on Aditi.

Looking at Arohi's face Aditi remembered the year when she married Shiv and moved to this Delhi. Arohi who was only close with Aditi came in contact with her senior and had a crush on him. Arohi would mention him whenever she called. Once Arohi called crying saying that her senior quit the college and she knew after a week he left her. Arohi was depressed and would always cry.

Aditi wanted Aroohi to move in with her that year. Arohi refused to say she wants to stay with her mother. The exact reason for her to stay there was to wait for her so-called senior.

A year after that their mother passed away leaving a deep wound on Arohi's mind. Aditi bought Arohi to live with her and Shiv.

Arohi became reserved and started to feel uncomfortable around strangers. She only talked to Aditi not even Shiv. Aditi let her continue her education at the University of Dehli.  Slowly Arohi moved out of her depression and started to make more friends. But she has never been in a relationship. Or might be her so-called senior left so deep in heart she never able to forget him.

Aditi let long breath seeing Arohi sleep like a child. It's not like Aditi doesn't want her sister to marry into the good family but was worried that Arohi will be mistreated or harmed for being innocent.

Aditi bent over and kissed Arohi on the forehead, said in a low voice

"Good night, sleep well. This time I'll not let anyone hurt you!"

After confirming Arohi was sound asleep Aditi went back to her room.

Shiv was awake when Aditi left the room. He didn't follow her so that she can have talked with Arohi. Was waiting for her to come back.

Aditi entered her room. Worry was written all over her face. Shiv went forward and hugged her while comforting her.

Shiv: " She will be fine. Kartik is a nice guy"

Aditi: " I think Arohi still like the guy from her university. Will she able to accept Kartik? Will Kartik treat her badly if he finds out Arohi liked  someone before?"

Shiv: "Nothing will happen like that."

It's not like Shiv didn't care about Arohi but he guessed that Kartik was her senior. The way Kartik said about Arohi made him feel so. But he didn't mention it to Aditi because he knew Aditi hated the guy who disappeared from her sister's life without notice. And the way Kartik wants to marry Arohi,  he guessed Kartik might have reasons to leave Arohi behind. Weather arohi accepts Kartik or not is her decision. It was not good for them to interfere. They can only hope for the best.

NEXT DAY ------------

Aarohi was sitting next to the

window in a high-end restaurant looking out of the window. She was nervous,

feeling anxious at the same time. It was her first blind date.

Arohi was wearing a long pink gown her sister picked

for her and lite make-up and her hair left loose behind her back. She was

nervous, Her hands and feet were

sweating a lot. She took a deep breath calm herself down.

Aarohi looked at the time on her phone.  only one minute left now for him to appear. A

sudden thought emerged out her mind,

"Is it fine to go back right now?"

She really wanted to run away but she remembered her brother-in-law's words again and again. She held back her urge to run away from here.

She was an introverted person and

always wanted to be low-key. Never interested in interacting with people

much.

She has only one best friend, which

is her elder sister. She was not someone to take initiative to talk with

people. And today's date was arranged by her sister and brother-in-law.

After graduating from the art institute

she started to work in a well-known designing firm. Was self-dependent and had

enough earning to support her. She never thought of getting married and leading

a life with another person. Because she never forgot about her gentle senior whom

she met at university.

Today her sister forced her to

attend this blind date arranged by her brother-in-law. She knew that it was

their good intention but was feeling jittery.

She never forgot about her senior.

Even  his image in her brain was very clear, time spent together was

still fresh.

Her brother-in-law said that the

person she was supposed to meet was a successful businessman. He started to work

as an architect when he was still in university and won a lot of awards and recognition.

After graduation, he joined his father's Designing and Construction firm and

made it appear in the top ten construction companies within 5 years.

She never saw him before. But as a

designer, she had heard a lot about him.  But never seen him.

When Aarohi first heard her

Brother-in-law mention to him she was confused why such an amazing person would

meet not so attractive person like her.?

"Aarohi"

Just as she was lost in her deep thought she heard

a clear and steady voice called her name. It carried a sense of familiarity. Her senior’s

image flashed in her brain.  Her heart

skipped a beat when she heard that voice. She looked in the direction of the source

of the voice. A clear tall figure entered her eyes.

He was wearing a navy blue formal suit and white shirt and a red tie. Tall and handsome.

For a fraction of a second, she didn't believe her eyes.

 Aarohi stood up hurriedly that made her lose

her balance and she bumped onto the table. The man hurried forward and supported

her,

"Are you hurt?"

His voice sounded next to her ear. the familiar voice made her heartbeat even more rapidly.

Her brain was a mess.

"I'm fine"

Aarohi tried to free herself from him and said in low voice.

A man took a step back still holding  Arohi firmly said in a deep voice,

" It's nice to be able to meet again"
