SheLovesHer
SheLovesHer Chapter 1
Isola
Saige! You awake? Levion just posted something new! Watch it with me?
Saige: (staring at the screen, heart skipping a beat)
Again... Levion. Always Levion.
She types back quickly before she can overthink.
Saige
Sure. I’ll be in the living room in 10 minutes.
Her fingers tremble a little. It’s stupid how her heart reacts every time Isola mentions his name but if it makes Isola smile, then that’s enough.
[Living Room — 10 Minutes Later]
Isola is already sprawled across the sofa, phone in hand, eyes sparkling like a kid waiting for candy.
Saige
Yeah... ready. (sits beside her, trying not to let her feelings show)
They press play on Levion’s newest vlog.
Laughter fills the room. Isola’s laughter bright, genuine, carefree.
Saige watches her instead of the screen. Every smile, every giggle it all hits her right in the chest.
That familiar ache.
That secret she can’t ever say out loud.
Isola
He’s so good, right?
Saige
(forcing a smile) Yeah... he’s amazing.
The words taste bitter, but she swallows them anyway.
A quiet pause lingers between them.
Saige feels her heart tighten.
She wants to warn Isola. To say Levion isn’t as perfect as he seems.
But instead, she just stares at her cousin’s glowing face, trapped between love and silence.
Then Isola suddenly nudges her shoulder.
Isola
Hey, Saige... thanks, ha? You’re always here for me. It’s like you’re my secret guardian or something.
Saige freezes. Secret guardian?
That’s exactly what she is always protecting, always watching from the shadows.
Saige
(softly) Of course. I’ll always be here for you.
Isola smiles and goes back to scrolling through Levion’s page, her focus lost again in someone else.
Saige looks down at her hands, her smile fading.
Saige (thinking): How long can I keep doing this? Protecting her... loving her... from the shadows?
What she doesn’t know
is that someone has already started to notice her.
The quiet girl who hides behind smiles.
And soon, Saige will learn...
that even the purest kind of love can become the most dangerous secret of all.
SheLovesHer Chapter 2
Saige
Saige’s POV – 10:47 PM
Saige: typing on her phone
Park visit today. Isola laughed when she almost fell off her skateboard. Grabbed the board, not me. Cheerful. Trusting. Protective mode: engaged.
Saige (thinking):
She never notices when I’m watching her. Every time she smiles, it feels like the world stops for a second. I keep telling myself this is just a habit just notes. But why does my heart beat so fast every time I type her name?
Saige: adds another note
Ice cream stop: cookies and cream. Hummed while eating. Hair smelled like coconut shampoo. Eyes sparkling when talking about Levion. Heart racing. Must stay close unseen.
Saige (thinking):
Levion again. She lights up every time he’s mentioned. I should be happy for her, right? But why does it feel like something inside me twists every time she says his name?
Isola
laughing “Saige, did you see that? I almost ate dirt!”
Saige
smiling “You should really slow down.”
Isola
“And ruin the fun? No way!” laughs again, hair flying in the wind
Isola (thinking):
Saige always watches me like I’m about to crash. It’s kind of cute, though. She’s so serious sometimes, like a bodyguard I didn’t hire. But I like having her around. She makes me feel safe… even if she barely says anything.
Isola
Oh, by the way, Levion said he might give us tickets to his show next week!
Saige
quietly “That’s… great.”
Isola
Right? We should go together!
Isola (thinking):
She looked away when I mentioned Levion. Did I say something wrong? Hmm… maybe she’s just tired. Still, there’s something about her eyes like she’s hiding a storm behind them.
Saige’s POV – Back to the Present
Saige: scrolling through her notes again
Levion mentioned tickets to his show next week. Isola eyes bright. Heart racing. Excitement: maximum. Protective instincts: extreme.
Saige (thinking):
I promised myself I’d protect her. Even if she never knows how much I love her. Even if I have to keep it locked in these notes forever.
She stares at the glowing screen, thumb hovering over “Save.”
Saige (whispering):
“Would it be enough… if the only proof of my love was here?”
The room is silent except for the soft tap of her thumb as she saves the note—another secret written under Isola’s name, another piece of her heart hidden in plain sight.
SheLovesHer Chapter 3
Isola’s POV – Friday, 6:32 PM
I’ve been counting the days until tonight.
Levion’s show. Music, lights, people everything I love in one chaotic place.
I texted Saige this morning, half-expecting her to say she wouldn’t come. She doesn’t really do crowds. But she showed up, of course she did. Quiet hoodie, headphones around her neck, eyes that looked like she was ready to fight the entire world for me.
Isola
You sure you’re okay with this many people?
Saige
Yeah. I’ll be fine. Just stay where I can see you.
She says that a lot stay where I can see you.
It sounds like a warning, but it always feels like protection.
Saige’s POV – 7:48 PM
The crowd’s energy was electric. Too loud. Too close. But she was smiling, spinning, moving with the beat like she belonged to the music.
I stayed a few steps behind, watching. Always watching.
When Levion came on stage, her face lit up that same glow I always write about. I could see the way her lips moved with every lyric, how she clapped, how she forgot I even existed for a moment.
Concert note: Isola shining. Levion center stage.
Her joy unfiltered. My heart unsteady.
Mission: protect from chaos. Hide feelings.
Then someone bumped into her. A guy, taller than both of us, drunk and careless. I didn’t think. I just moved. My hand grabbed her wrist before she could fall.
For a second, she turned our eyes met, her laughter fading into something softer.
Isola’s POV – 8:01 PM
When Saige caught me, everything else blurred. The music, the lights, even Levion. Her hand was firm but careful, like she was holding something fragile.
I wanted to say thank you, but my voice didn’t come out. I just stared. There was something in her eyes something I couldn’t read, but it made my heart stutter.
She froze. I laughed it off. But inside, I wondered if she felt what I did in that second that strange, quiet pull I couldn’t explain.
Saige’s POV – 11:17 PM]
Everyone went home after. I stayed awake, typing.
Concert entry: Isola’s smile under blue lights.
Hand in mine for three seconds.
Words replaying Always, when you’re around.
Emotional system malfunction. Heart: compromised.
I don’t know if she meant it. But now her voice is stuck in my head, soft and real.
Maybe these notes aren’t just memories anymore.
Maybe they’re the only way I can say what I’m too afraid to speak out loud.
